No existing Publicfolder matches the identity '\'

We are in the process of migrating from Exch 2003 to 2010. Despite a troublesome installation of 2010, most seems OK. However we have the following issues with Public folders and replication:
on the 2010 server, EMC tools Public folder management console cannot connect to or view the public folder DB "No existing PublicFolder matches the following identity: '\'
Public folders do appear to be replicating since the DB matches the size of the DB on the 2003 server. We can view public folder content from a test mailbox on the 2010 server but the exch2003 server reports all public folders are "Local Modified" instead of "In Sync". In Exchange system manager -> tools -> Monitoring & Status -> Status - the new 2010 server is reported as "unreachable" and if you select properties a pop-up reports:
"Unable to connect to the WMI service
ID no c1038692"
It reports that the new server is stopped and it can't find the state of the server's services.
- all services are running normally on both servers.
Any help much appreciated.

Many thanks for your responses Guys.
The issue of the PF identity \ not found was resolved by James-Luo - the administrator mailbox was marked as legacy in 2010 but didn't in fact exist in 2003. Despite this it allowed me to remove the exchange attributes (from exch2003) I recreated it on the exch 2010 server and the public folder tool worked fine.
However, its been a while and I still have "Local Modified" replication status for every PF on the exch 2003 server, I have resent the changes without success. I have noticed however, that only the PUBLIC FOLDER HIERARCHY folder is in sync and changes are being synchronized on the 2010 server. I have since disabled Windows firewall for all profiles as per Jesper's response but still no joy.
I must add here that I probably caused the issue. When the first synchronization took place it generated a large number of log files, the disk I allocated for PF logs ran out of space and the public folders DB dismounted. I ended up having to set-up circular logging but got into a mess with the PF logs and ended up scrapping the DB and starting from scratch with an empty PF DB. I am sure that some of the folders were displaying "In Sync" status before this happened. I have tried removing the replication from some PFs and re-creating it but this has had no effect. Also restarted both servers just in case.
I'm happy to log this as another post if you prefer.
Thanks again.
As Public Folder replication occurs over SMTP I´d enable the firewall again as long as you have the necessary Exchange Server exeptions. Normally these exeptions are added during Exchange Server install. As long as port 25 is allowed I see no reason to let the firewall be disabled. Firewall is a good thing - just to make myself clear ;-)Cheers / Jesper Bernle

    Thanks for the reply Robin, here is some of the observation, hope you can provide some solution from your end.
    1. When Publish my build, in the Manifest file dependentAssembly has two reference to Office.dll one with version 11.0.0.0 and another with version 7.0.3300.0.
    2. In the pages_1_0_0_4 Published folder has one office.dll with version 11.0.5530.0
    3. In the root folder of the virtual directory has one office.dll with version 7.0.9466.0
    Can you please give your thoughts, what exactly wrong with the deployment, i feel its a assembly mismatch.  where in the application files i have set the required assembly. please provide your useful solution.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Exchange 2007 Management shell issue: "There are multiple objects matching the identity "servername" Please specify a unique value"

    I thought this would be an easy answer to an issue I'm facing, but there's a problem executing the solution.
    I'm running Exchange 2007 in a clustered SCC configuration.  The clustered resource is called "DENBURYMAIL."  I want to give my account full mailbox access rights to all the mailboxes in this resource/database.
    I believe I found the solution to this at
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310792%28EXCHG.80%29.aspx (about halfway down the page) the instructions read as follows:
    ==============================
     Q: I have a third-party messaging application that requires full access to each user's mailbox. With Exchange Server 5.5, we grant a special account the Service Account Admin permissions, and then tell the application to use this account. How
    can I achieve similar functionality in Exchange 2007?
    A: Exchange 2007 security works differently from that of Exchange Server 5.5. In fact, Exchange 2007 does not use a site service account. Instead, all services start as the local computer account.
    If your logon account is the Administrator account, a member of the root Domain Administrators, a member of the Enterprise Administrators groups, or a member of the Exchange Organization Administrators role, you are explicitly denied access to all mailboxes
    that are not your mailbox, even if you have full administrative rights over the Exchange system. All Exchange 2007 administrative tasks can be performed without having to grant an administrator sufficient rights to read other people's mail.
    You can achieve the results that you want in the following ways, but do so only in accordance with your organization's security and privacy policies:
    In the Exchange Management Shell, use the following command to allow access to all mailboxes on a given mailbox store:
    Add-ADPermission -identity "mailbox database" -user "serviceaccount" -ExtendedRights Receive-As
    =============================
    But when I run the command (Add-ADPermission -identity "denburymail" -user "matthew.fazio" -ExtendedRights Receive-As) I get an error telling me that "There are multiple objects matching the identity "DENBURYMAIL."  Please Specify a unique value."
    I'm not sure what's causing this-- why are there "multiple objects?"  Is this a problem due to operating in a clustered environment?
    Any assistance would be appreciated!

    It may not be specific enough for the command to understand you.
    Try this:
    Get-MailboxDatabase -Server <servername> | Add-ADPermission -user "matthew.fazio" -ExtendedRights Receive-As

  • Photoshop Elements 10 - 'Save As' text no longer displaying existing file, which matches the text so far entered

    Photoshop Elements 10  (On Windows 8.1 64-bit laptop)
    Until recently, 'save as' showed any existing file name, which exactly matched the text so far typed.
    That's particularly useful when creating multiple photo files, with suffixes of '(1)', '(2)', etc.
    Suddenly that great facility has stopped, forcing me to always type the complete file name for each new item.
    I assume that a setting has been lost.
    How do I get it back?

    Thanks again.
    I held the keys down for at least 15 seconds in my previous attempts.
    I’ve just tried the entries, holding the keys for around 30 seconds, with the same results (or lack of same).
    Thinking about my thought of copying the Preference settings from the same program on my desktop, I looked on the Internet for Photoshop Elements 10 Preferences file locations.   I found a display, which suggested:  C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements (9.0\10.0\11.0)\Editor
    From that, it appears that mine may be held in:
    C:\Users\Fred Niven\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Editor
    But I’m reluctant to copy any such file from my Windows 8.1 desktop’s Photoshop Elements 10’s file(s),
    to replace the equivalent file(s) on this laptop, until I know that I’m replacing the correct file(s).
    I’d create a System Restore Point beforehand anyway, just-in-case.
    Cheers,

  • Outlook 2013 Rules issue when more than 50 rules exist ("The rules on this computer do not match the rules on Microsoft Exchange").

    I think I may have found a bug.
    My Outlook 2013 profile has more than 75 rules. When I started testing Outlook 2013, I got the message "The rules on this computer do not match the rules on Microsoft Exchange. Only one set of rules can be kept. You will usually want to keep the rules
    on the server. Which rules do you want to keep?"
    I did the following troubleshooting:
    1. I created a new Outlook profile. This didn't fix the issue.
    2. I exported my rules, cleared them using "outlook /cleanrules", then reimported the rules. This didn't fix the issue.
    3. I cleared the rules again (outlook /cleanrules), then hand-entered the rules. This also didn't fix the issue.
    4. I reduced the number of rules to less than 50. This FIXED the problem.
    5. When I entered rule #51, the problem came back. When I removed ruled #51, the problem was again fixed.
    Does anyone know of a fix or workaround to this issue?
    Thanks.

    Sounds like you went over your "rule quota limit" as you do have a great number of rules.  Please see the link below for cause and possible resolution.

    Olaf:
    Thanks for your reply. Sorry, my bad. I inadvertently copied wrong [name] form the msdb.dbo.backupset. On 3/13 and 3/14, the two file names did not match. In trying to select another example to show you this morning, I found that the names are now matching!
    What I was doing was to create dynamic t-sql to retrieve the latest prod backup of the database, and then restore it with move to the development server. This is an ad-hoc job that the developers can run by themselves whenever they require a refresh. Unfortunately,
    we only keep 3 days worth of backups for these databases, so the original disk file I was trying to use to restore no longer exists. Researching the original error, one of the error descriptions was that the restore could not find the file requested.
    I thought this very strange since I get the file name directly from the backupset table. Further research did indeed show that the file names were different, but unfortunately, I failed to save the details of the file names. Anyway, in looking for a new example
    to show you this morning, I have found that the file names are indeed matching exactly again. If this error pops up again, I will be sure to save all details and re-post.
    Thanks, regards and best wishes to you and yours,

  • Unique Identifier of the source style does not match the target st

    I'm running into a bunch of problems with an export/import, but I'll limit myself to the more opaque ones for the moment. We've got a page group in place and are trying to overwrite it, or at least parts of it, with a revised version. The export appears to succeed, but the pre-check (and consequently, it appears, the entire import) fails. One of the few specific errors has to do with a style:
    [ERROR] id = NULL context = style_pre_check user = PORTAL The Unique Identifier of the source style MY_STYLE does not match the target style MY_STYLE.
    The style in question exists in both our development environment (from which we're exporting) and our target environment (into which we're importing, of course). It hasn't even been changed in the development environment, so it's identical to what it's replacing. Does anybody know what's going on here and how it might be fixed?

    This indicates the style in the production did not come from the same development system as the one you're attempting the new import from. Also, this could happen, if for some reason you had deleted the style in the development after it was deployed to production and (re-) created a new style with the same name.
    In order for pre-check to succeed, you would need to either rename the style on the production or rename it on development and re-export and import the transport set again.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 site server client installation error: The client version 5.00.7958.1000 does not match the MP version 5.00.7804.1000.

    Hello,

    I agree with Idan. You can easily remove the Management Point Site System role and add it again with no adverse effect. This should solve your problem.

  • The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site

    Hi Guys,
    Every time when we login to SAP Business One, we are getting two identical security Alerts, that we needs to click "Yes" twice.
    Text of error: “The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site”
    We tried to install certificate, but it is not solved this certificate issue and the alert still pops up on login.
    I guess, something wrong with dashboard settings, but don't really know what exact and how to fix it.
    Thanks,
    Sergey

    Hi,
    Please check SAP note:

    How do I add multiple songs to an existing playlist from the (no longer called) Library? Highlighting multiple songs and clicking the "Add to" button will only add the one with the little arrow, not all the highlighted ones! I am using the "new" iTunes.

    For the moment there isn't a way for us end-users to control what is "matched" or "uploaded." That is purely a result of Apple's server-side algorithms.
    To re-add multiple songs at once simply highlight all the songs you want to re-add, then right-click (or Control+click) the list and choose "add to iCloud."

  • I would like to change the colour of bars in a chart without losing the underlying default texture associated with my chosen theme. None of the 3D textured fills offered in "Chart Colors" match the textured fill of the theme. Any suggestions?

    I would like to change the colour of bars in a chart without losing the underlying default texture associated with my chosen theme. None of the 3D textured fills offered in "Chart Colors" match the textured fill of the theme. Any suggestions?

    Thanks Gary, but no, that does not work. First of all, I can't select each bar individually. When I click on one bar, all three bars are selected.
    When I use "inspector > graphic" I have 5 fill options: none, color, gradient, image, tinted image. The default selection for the theme I'm using is image. What I would like to use for my charts is the same image that this theme uses for table headers. It has the same texture as the chart, but a different colour. Using anything but image or tinted image removes the texture from the fill.
    I have found I can do one of two things. I can select tinted image from the fill selections in "inspector > graphic" or I can select 2D Image Fills from "inspector > chart > chart colors". The first choice does not allow me to match the table header colour because it only allows me to apply a tint to the existing colour and adjust its opacity. The existing colour has too much influence on the fill, so I can't find an RGB adjustment that will match the table header colour. The image selections from "inspector > chart > chart colors" do not quite match the colour or the texture. Again, I can try to tint the image, but I still can't get it to match and the texture is not the same anyway.
    The image I want to use obviously exists in the software as it is an attribute of the theme, but for some reason is inaccessible. The other angle I have tried is to edit the theme, but I can't figure out how to do that either.

    I am getting this error when navigating to http://servername/Reports. The reports site was working fine, until I installed a SQL 2014 Developer instance (including SSRS) on the same server.
    I can still get to the http://servername/ReportServer site.

    Hi Glen,
    "The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference." is generally caused by the loaded assembly's version is different than the expected version application refers to.
    In this case, it should be caused by:
    While starting Report Manager, the backend process ReportingServiceService need to load assemblies it refers to
    ReportingServiceService reads the compilation/assemblies element from web.config(under Report Manager virtual patch)
    If the compilation/assemblies is not existing, ReportingServiceService loads all assemblies from Bin folder. It can be verified from call stack System.Web.Configuration.CompilationSection.LoadAllAssembliesFromAppDomainBinDirectory(). ReportingServiceService
    uses System.Reflection.Assembly.Load with the assemblies' name only to load assemblies.
    The Assembly.Load tries to load from the specify assembly by name from GAC at first. If it is found from GAC, it won't be loaded from Bin folder any more.
    Since Reporting Service SharePoint Integration mode is installed, a same assembly of 'Microsoft.ReportingServices.SharePoint.ObjectModel' with different version might be installed to the GAC. That causes the error "The located assembly's manifest definition
    does not match the assembly reference."
    For more information about the error message and the loading process, please see:

  • Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key

    Hi OAF Gurus,
    Currently we are implementing R12 Upgrade , for this we have deployed all the custom OAF Application related files on to the the respective JAVA_TOP folder.
    We have a custom municipal postal application which tracks the Postal Details.
    The page runs perfectly fine without any error in 11i instance, but the same is erroring out In R12.
    In R12 it shows an error as Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key[112010 2014-10-01]
    here 112010 is nothing but the postal code id and 2014-10-01 is the Effective Start Date
    We have a custom table as xxad_postal_codes_f  (Date Track table)which contains the postal_code_id and effective_start_date (primary key is combination of postal_code_id and effective_start_date ).
    The Table already contains a row for postal_code_id = 112010  and Effective_Start_date = Sysdate.
    Now we want to update the entry for the same postal code with the Id being same as 112010  and  Effective_Start_date as 2014-10-01 through custom PostCodeChangePG
    at the time of save we are getting an error as Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key[112010 2014-10-01]
    The table doesn't contain any of the data mentioned ([112010 2014-10-01]) at the time of insertion, hence there should not be any duplication of primary key but still we are getting the error.
    Please let us know how can we handle this..?
    Below is the code which is getting called on Click of Save button of PostCodeChangePG
    if (pageContext.getParameter("Apply") != null)
          PCodeCoWorkerBase coWorker = getCoWorker(pageContext, webBean);
              coWorker.processApply();
    Code in PCodeCoWorkerBase
        public void processApply()
          String postalCodeId = UIHelper.getRequiredParameter(pageContext, "postalCodeId");
          Date startDate = UIHelper.getRequiredDateParameter(pageContext , "EffectiveStartDate");
         Serializable[] postalCodeData = (Serializable[]) applicationModule.invokeMethod( "insertPostalCodeMajorChange", params, paramTypes );
          finalizeTransactionAndRedirect( postalCodeData );
    Code in Application Module
      public Serializable[] insertPostalCodeMajorChange ( String postalCodeId, Date date )
        PCodeAmWorker amWorker = new PCodeAmWorker(this);
        return amWorker.insertMajorChange( postalCodeId, DateHelper.convertClientToServerDate( getOADBTransaction(), date )
    Code in PCodeAmWorker
      public Serializable[] insertMajorChange ( String postalCodeId, Date date )
        // Get the view objects we need from the application module
        OAViewObject viewObject = (OAViewObject) applicationModule.getPCodesVO();
        PCodesVORowImpl currentRow = (PCodesVORowImpl) viewObject.getCurrentRow();
        currentRow.validate();
        currentRow.setEffectiveStartDate(date);
        currentRow.setComment1(currentRow.getNewComment());
    // Create a new row based on the current row
    PCodesVORowImpl newRow = (PCodesVORowImpl) viewObject.createAndInitRow(currentRow); //This is failing out and gives the error
    // Get the new effective start date as entered by the user
    Date effectiveStartDate = currentRow.getEffectiveStartDate();
        // Calculate the previous period's effective end date
        Date previousEffectiveEndDate = DateHelper.addDays(effectiveStartDate, -1);
        // Refresh the current row (the one changed by the UI) with the data it had at the beginning of the transaction
        currentRow.refresh(Row.REFRESH_UNDO_CHANGES);
        // The current row will now represent data for the the previous period set the effective end date for the previous period
        currentRow.setEffectiveEndDate(previousEffectiveEndDate);
        // Insert the newly created row that now represents the new period
        viewObject.insertRow(newRow);
        applicationModule.apply();
        return generateResult(newRow);
    PCodesVO() is based on PostalCodeEO
    below is the code from PostalCodeEOImpl
      public void create(AttributeList attributeList)
        // NOTE: This call will set attribute values if the entity object  is created with a call to vo.createAndInitRow(..)
        super.create(attributeList);
        if (getPostalCodeId() == null)
          setPostalCodeId(getOADBTransaction().getSequenceValue("XXAD_POSTAL_CODES_S"));
        if (getEffectiveStartDate() == null)
          setEffectiveStartDate(getOADBTransaction().getCurrentDBDate());
    After diagnosing the issue we found that the error is on the code of AMworker file while creating a new row PCodesVORowImpl newRow = (PCodesVORowImpl) viewObject.createAndInitRow(currentRow);
    we tried so many things such as clearing entity cache, VO cache, validating for duplicate primary key but still not able to resolved this.
    Please advice how to insert a new row on the PCodesVORowImpl without any exception.
    Thanks,
    Pallavi

    Hi ,
    One question here , if you are udating a existing record then why you are trying to create a new row
    PCodesVORowImpl newRow = (PCodesVORowImpl) viewObject.createAndInitRow(currentRow);
    Thanks
