No export type

In the export tab of my Adobe After Effects CS4 i only have SWF,XFL,PRPROJ and Adobe Clip Notes.I'm running on a Windows 7 32 bit version.What should I do because I want to export it into a video file.

To expand on Mylenium's advice, add your comp to the AE Render Queue, and tweak the Render Settings & Output Module to create the kind of file in the media container & codec you need.
Did that sound like Jibberish?
There's a good reason: After Effects is not the kind of application you use for a couple of tricks and expect things to turn out right the first time. It takes a good knowledge of the AE basics to make it do what you want.
So how do you get the basics? Mylenium thoughtfully posted a link to them.

We'd like to only allow XLS Format for a specific report when displaying a Crystal Report on a WebPage via Visual Studio;
We run Crystal Reports 2008 and also post on Business Objects so the users can access via Infoview.
the only thing I've found is a hack to change the underlying Java code for Crystal that would affect all the reports... and some other thing for Visual Studio that doesn't work as it is for prior versions of Crystal. Please advise how we go about allowing the end-users to have the option of exporting to only one FileType (XLS) for only one specific report.

Types that are decorated with the TypeForwardedTo attribute will have an Exported Type record in the metadata. What API's should be used to access the exported type table / tokens?

3D studio max export type

which export type in 3Ds max 4 can be used in conjunction with java?
i know this is said in one tutorail, but currently adobe isnt compactible with my O/S so i need someone to help.

i agree with OFH Starfire research loader is quite good. unfortunately it doesn't support some surface/texture features (reflection mapping for exemple) that can be implemented in Java3D and the source code is not given.

it is my understanding that VRML is the only format java can read in UNLESS you get a loader from a third party

File export type not retained

If I export a slice as a gif the next slice I export will
default to a JPG. Why can't Fireworks just remember what you did
last? Did they do any user testing!?

Set the file type for each slice in the Optimize panel before
exporting
and you won't have to worry about it.

Crystal Reports 2011 cannot see Excel 2007 as an export type

I just installed/updated to cr2011. Installation went fine, and i did not get any problems. I am able to run all my previous reports, and if i makes chamges to a report and save, i do get asked "do you want to save it with the latest report format"
My version is 14.0.2.364RTM
When i click export, i do not see EXCEL 2007 or any other new types, i know are included for cr2011.
Is there anything else i need to download ? cr2011 runtimes ? or remove or configure ?

I have another quick question, and if i need to open a new post i can.
I have CRD by ChristianStevenSoftware, which we use to automate and schedule/deliver our reports.
When i upgraded to cr2011, i was told by CristianSteven software, that i had to select the correct CRYSTAL RUNTIMES.
They have a gui to use for the user to "Chang Crystal Version". when i used it, i was presented with a dialog box, which
had Crystal Reports 2011(13.xx) as the latest. I slected this option as i assumed they though 13.xx was correct for 2011( i know 14.xx is what i have installed.
Anyway i did not get an error when upgrading to 13.xx, but when i started CRD, i got an error.
The CRD developer says :-
The install that is in the picture looks like the installation of the crystal reports 2011 applicaton,
not the runtimes. The runtimes should be a seperate installation, please let me know if you
see any installations under add/remove programs that is labeled:
--SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework 4
That should be the name showing for the 2011 runtimes. If you cannot find it in the add/remove programs, you should be able to download the runtimes from the SAP.Com website.
I do not see SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework 4
Can i download them from SAP site as he suggests ?

Export type determination for excise invoice

We are using the Automatic Excise Invoice while doing the billing document. But while cancelling the excise invoice system is giving the error "Utilization already done for this invoice". This error is not coming while creating the excise invoice manually from the J1IIN tcode. I can able to cancel the excise invoice if it is created manually.
This is for the Export Scenario.
For this issue what I have to do and I have tried all the permutation and combination with different series groups for the export and domestic. But still I could not able to solve this issue.
I request you to please do the needful

Go to IMG screen, select Logistics-General --> Tax on Goods Movements --> India --> Business Transactions --> Outgoing Excise Invoice --> Maintain Default Excise Groups and Series Groups.
Here, check what has been selected for the combination of Sales Area / Shipping Point / Plant / Excise Group / Series Group. Probably, you would have selected "N". Change it to "U" and retry.

When exporting, type becomes misaligned

Hi
I've been puzzling over this for a while and would appreciate any comments. I've set a catalogue using CS2 in Univers font. It has quite a few images that are reduced PDFs of other publications (mostly set in Univers).
When I print to PDF or PS everything is fine. However, because I want to keep the transparency in the final output I've exported to PDF 1.4. On this PDF some parts of the job as misaligned. Where there is a bold book title, it is shifted about one space to the right, as though the tabbing has gone wrong.
I've tried exporting omitting the illustrations, changing the font to one not used in the illustrations, moving up the PDF level, moving the job to another Mac (the first export worked fine, thereafter it went wrong!) but it makes no difference. Both Macs have been restarted several times and I've used FontNuke to clear out the caches. On my Mac I've also deleted the InDesign preferences. None of this helps either.
The only way I can get the correct result is to export each page individually. As this is a 24pp catalogue it's not a big deal, but it bugs me that it doesn't work properly.
Am I missing something really obvious? Any thoughts would be welcomed.

You're a star! - thanks it works! I had the tagging off and when I switched it on the output was spot on. This toggling effect explains why it was OK on my colleague's Mac the first time I tried it there.
I also create some docs with hyperlinks and the PDF outputs from those vary too - after reading one of the comments on the site I can see toggling might help here as well.

Best export type for web viewing

I just bought a Eyetv and recoreded me playing halo 2 on my 360. i was wondeirng what the best export for posting something on youtube would be. the choices i have are, quicktime movie, mpeg-4, h.264,divX avi, windows media, AAc audio and apple lossless audio. i was just wondering what the best is to post videos on youtube. i tried one but the quality didnt turn out so well once it was on youtube but before that it was clear. is it just youtubes uploads?

i think it is just youtube decreasing the quality so it will stream quickly ... i always use quicktime movie though ... no particular reason for that though!

He hasn't run the script in yet so I don't know what other problems there might be, but [em] VARRAY(2147483647[em] looks a bit dodgy.

Yes, it's dodgy. If he removes the / from the script it will create the types. With the / in SQL Developer does not see the end of the first type being created and the code will run to the next ;.

How can you control the export types from DHTML output?

I am currently using the JRC from CR4E V1 patch 7.
When I generate a report as DHTML and use the export button I am presented with 5 export options:
Crystal Reports
Adobe Acrobat
Microsoft Word - Editable
Rich Text Format
Comma Separated Values
I would like to control which of the 5 options are presented to the user. I was looking in the crystalreportviewers115 folder for some JavaScript that could be edited. I found export.js which appeared to have code that was creating the choices for a dropdown (getFormatDropdownList()), however this code did not get executed when I ran the export.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes - the JavaScript that's in export.js was rolled into inline code in the Java jar files sometime during version 11.5.
It's no longer customizable.
An option is to use HTTP Filter on your Java Web App to modify the outgoing JavaScript instream, but that's never a pretty solution.

How to change default Export Format Type in Crystal Report Viewer

We are coding in VB.NET 2005 using the CR2008 SP1 .NET objects.
The Crystal Report Viewer, when displayed, defaults the export type as .rpt (Crystal Reports).
We distribute our .NET application to our customers. 99% of the time, this .rpt format is useless to our customers as they do not have crystal reports developer. They usually export to a .pdf or .xls format. Is there a way to default this export option to something other than .rpt?

Yes, that's as much as I figured.
With the Crystal for .NET methods, the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine's reportdocument object has an ExportToDisk method. We wanted to use this (as we used something similar with the RDC) to prompt the user to export. However, the reportdocument's exporttodisk method does not have an argument that allows for Prompting the user (true/false) like the RDC's export did. You have to actually know ahead of time the type of export the user wants as well as the filename. Well, we do not, and therefore, want the user to be able to select the type of export they want as well as enter their own filename. We want the Crystal methods to prompt for this. Since we are unable to, we've had to resort to declaring a reportviewer object and setting the viewer's reportsource = to the reportdocument. We then use the ExportReport() method which defaults to .rpt (which none of our end users have Crystal Developer). This is why we want to know if there is a way to reset the default export method to something more common (such as .pdf or .xls). Is there a way to change the reportdocument's file type in order to default the export type? Just trying to come up with some sort of workaround...

Exporting data clusters with type version

Hi all,
let's assume we are saving some ABAP data as a cluster to database using the IMPORT TO ... functionality, e.g.
EXPORT VBAK FROM LS_VBAK VBAP FROM LT_VBAP TO DATABASE INDX(QT) ID 'TEST'
Some days later, the data can be imported
IMPORT VBAK TO LS_VBAK VBAP TO LT_VBAP FROM DATABASE INDX(QT) ID 'TEST'.
Some months or years later, however, the IMPORT may crash: Since it is the most normal thing in the world that ABAP types are extended, some new fields may have been added to the structures VBAP or VBAK in the meantime.
The data are not lost, however: Using method CL_ABAP_EXPIMP_UTILITIES=>DBUF_IMPORT_CREATE_DATA, they can be recovered from an XSTRING. This will create data objects apt to the content of the buffer. But the component names are lost - they get auto-generated names like COMP00001, COMP00002 etc., replacing the original names MANDT, VBELN, etc.
So a natural question is how to save the type info ( = metadata) for the extracted data together with the data themselves:
EXPORT TYPES FROM LT_TYPES VBAK FROM LS_VBAK VBAP FROM LT_VBAP TO DATABASE INDX(QT) ID 'TEST'.
The table LT_TYPES should contain the meta type info for all exported data. For structures, this could be a DDFIELDS-like table containing the component information. For tables, additionally the table kind, key uniqueness and key components should be saved.
Actually, LT_TYPES should contain persistent versions of CL_ABAP_STRUCTDESCR, CL_ABAP_TABLEDESCR, etc. But it seems there is no serialization provided for the RTTI type info classes.
(In an optimized version, the type info could be stored in a separate cluster, and being referenced by a version number only in the data cluster, for efficiency).
In the import step, the LT_TYPES could be imported first, and then instances for these historical data types could be created as containers for the real data import (here, I am inventing a class zcl_abap_expimp_utilities):
IMPORT TYPES TO LT_TYPES FROM DATABASE INDX(QT) ID 'TEST'.
DATA(LO_TYPES) = ZCL_ABAP_EXPIMP_UITLITIES=>CREATE_TYPE_INFOS ( LT_TYPES ).
assign lo_types->data_object('VBAK')->* to <LS_VBAK>.
assign lo_types->data_object('VBAP')->* to <LT_VBAP>.
IMPORT VBAK TO <LS_VBAK> VBAP TO <LT_VBAP> FROM DATABASE INDX(QT) ID 'TEST'.
Now the data can be recovered with their historical types (i.e. the types they had when the export statement was performed) and processed further.
For example, structures and table-lines could be mixed into the current versions using MOVE-CORRESPONDING, and so on.
My question: Is there any support from the standard for this functionality: Exporting data clusters with type version?

The IMPORT statement works fine if target internal table has all fields of source internal table, plus some additional fields at the end, something like append structure of vbak.
Here is the snippet used.

I guess IMPORT statement would behave fine if current VBAK has more fields than older VBAK.

All Export Types which is mentioned in the list is Predefined in SAP with Domain J_1IINDEXP
Normally each field contain Data element and if data element has certain fixed values then system show only those fixed values where ever you select export type it will show only
those Value ranges which is mentioned in domain.
Field : EXPING
Data Element : J_1IINDEXP
Domain : J_1IINDEXP
If you want to Know Go to SE11---> Domain J_1IINDEXP and click on Display.
Then Click on Value Range tab then you can see the Fix values.
Those Fix values we can't change because it is predefined by SAP.
