No 'Extensions' menu

In Photoshop CC I have no 'Extensions' menu under Window. I get Arrange > Workspace > 3D then everything else. I've searched and heard of it being greyed out but not missing entirely.
Extensions manager has been used properly to install my extensions, and I've manually checked everything is where it should be. I ran the manager as admin.
This is on a PC, W7 Pro 64BIT, CC is all up-to-date. PS version 14.2.1 (14.2.1 20140207.r.570 2014/02/07:23:00:00) x64

Because extensions in Photoshop CC 2014 are being rewritten from flash to html, all extensions in CC won't work in CC 2014.
You have to install CC 2014 compliant extensions. Your extensions menu is greyed out because are none.
Go to your Photoshop CC 2014 Help menu and click on "browse add-ons". You will be directed to the Extensions webpage.
Pick and install a CC 2014 compliant extension like Kuler CC 2014,and it will show up in your extensions menu.

  • After Photoshop CC crash, can no longer access extensions menu?

Hello! I recently signed up for/installed the CC Suite and have been using it for a few days on my Windows 7 box. I had a bad PS crash this evening where when I tried to open PS back up, it seemed to think I was a new user and wanted me to sign in/reauthorize my machine. (I also had to use the cleaner/reinstall the incredibly glitchy CC Desktop client.) On top of that, I can no longer access the extensions menu in Photoshop, which is kind of a problem for me. :\ (It's greyed out.) Any ideas? Thanks!!

Delete tthe OPM.db completely and sign in again, perhaps that makes CCApp recognise your credentials properly:

  • Photoshop CC Extensions menu is not selectable

Photoshop CC Extensions menu is greyed out. I cannot select event that menu.
The extensions installed successfully in Extension Manager CC, no errors. I even tried uninstalling and trying just 1... no dice. I've reinstalled Extension Manager CC without success as well.
A few of those extensions are scripts and those are available through the File > Scripts just fine, but the Extensions are not. I have no issue at home using them, but here on my work computer I cannot access them at all.
In Photoshop CC, I cannot even click on the Extensions menu, not even the Exchange is available which is built in:
I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CC and reinstalled the plugins and I still have the same issue. No error messages, it's just not selectable.
    Any ideas?

I am on a Mac, but am having the same issue, my extensions is greyed out.
Also when I open Extensions Manager CC, I get the application launched, but I get no interface, so I can't even see the extensions. I know I just installed onOne Perfect Suite, so it should be showing up.

  • Extensions Menu greyed out in Photoshop CC (2014)

I use Adobe Paper Textures a lot and they are not in the Windows Extensions Menu.

Hello Same thing here. All grayed out

  • Extensions seems still enabled but missing in extensions menu

After upgrading firefox to version 8, I was expecting the one time "Select your Add Ons" dialog to appear. This did not happen, instead I got a script error from one of my extensions "Zotero" and firefox failed to start.
I restarted firefox and it opened ok but Zotero appeared disabled (had a yellow exclaimation triangle icon over it). I went to Firefox->Add Ons->Extensions to see if it was disabled or incompatable but found that the window was empty with the message "You don't have any add ons of this type installed". now have several add ons which are still working (Firebug, Video Download Helper definitely still working) even though I cannot see them in the "Extensions" Menu and therefore have no way to disable/enable them.

Self-solved!  I work in column view in Finder so get there in a Finder window with folders and files appearing.
There really is no problem, just select an ITEM in the COLUMN before right-clicking!
The "old" context menu will appear. If you click in the white space in that column (or anywhere in a Finder window) and then place the cursor over a folder or file WITHOUT selecting it and right-click you will bring up the secondary context menu - Open, Copy, Duplicate, View Options and a greyed out Labels option. No "Move to Trash".

hello ptbruce, you probably only selected to open (not save) the video which will download it into windows temporary folder where it gets deleted again after it has been used. <br>you could try to right-click the entry in the firefox download manager and copy the link of the source file and try if you can download it through this url again. otherwise you'll have to contact the vendor of the video to find a solution...

  • InDesign Extensions menu doesn't show up after inDesign update

    Hi all,
First of all, not sure to reach the perfect spot here but have no clue on a better place, so feel free to point me towards the good forum if needed.
I have made a InDesign CS6 Extension which worked fined at some client's place. They updated InDesign and since then the extension menu no longer appears within InDesign. The menu itself is not hidden in the menus preferences and yet it's not here.
Does anyone have ever experienced this ? Any workaround ?
Thanks in advance for any hint,
    Loic

    Hi Logi_aigon,
You can launch Extension Manager CS6 and manually remove the extension, and try to install it agian. If it still does not work, you can send the zxp file of your extension to [email protected] If it is too large, you can send the mxi file or manifest file only.
BTW, you can also post your questions to InDesign forum( http://forums.adobe.com/community/indesign ).
    Thank,
    Xiaoyi

  • User-friendly name for Panel Which Does Not Appear in the Extensions Menu

We are developing various Extensions panels for CS5 using ActionScript.
We only want a single Extension, our Main panel, to appear in the Windows>Extensions menu. Once that Panel is opened, it would open other extensions, as required.
The problem is, that the only way to remove a Panel from the Extensions menu is to remove its "<menu/>" element from the manifest. However, if I do that, then when we call those other extensions from the Main extension, the titale diplaed in the Panel is the "ExtensionID" from the manifest, which is not user firendly (such as "com.mycopmany.mysystem.Employees.extension1"), when I only wanted "Employees" to be in the title.
Any ideas what I can do?
    TIA,
    mlavie

    Harbs. - I have a follow-up question:
Object(this.parent.parent.parent.parent) returns an Object of type com.adobe.csxs.stagemanager.ExtensionWindow
"ExtensionWindow" is clearly a very useful object, but I can't find the SWC in which ii is deifned, and therefore can not create a routine which accepts as a paraemeter or returns a strongly type object of type ExtensionWindow. In addition, as it appears to be undocumented, the only way I can see which properties are available is to view tyhe result of "Object(this.parent.parent.parent.parent)" in the debugger.
Any ideas where the SWC is - or where there is any documentation for this object?
    TIA,
    mlavie

  • Photoshop cc 2014 extension menu disable

why the extension menu is disable?

    Hi,
I have not ben able to install a single extension in PS CC 2014. All the extensions I have or that are available in the extension browser that has replaced Exchange seem to be incompatible with PS CC 2014. Probably a few are compatible, though, but I didn't look for them. Since you cannot install any extension, the menu remains grayed out.
When you try to install an "older" extension, you can "acquire" it but it doesn't actually installs.Sometimes you may get the following error message :
    error -411
    Compatible CC app not found.
Solution: Install a compatible Adobe application before installing Add-ons.
as if you had not installed Photoshop CC. So PS CC 2014 is not considered as a compatible CC app. I guess a lot of extension authors will have to rewrite their code. All the extensions I was using are now incompatible.
Also, I found that the new extension browser and the automated installer (which goes through the CC desktop app) are rather buggy and incredibly slow. I guess we are beta testing this new "feature".
So, if you absolutely need a particular extension, make sure it works in PS CC 2014 (probably not) and keep PS CC installed (which can also lead to some confusion since there's no CC 2014 specific version of Bridge and Extension Manager).

  • Photoshop CC Window- Extensions Menu Greyed Out

    This is Windows 8.1
In Photoshop CC the Window->Extensions Menu is greyed out. I have installed Adobe Extension Manager CC and installed Adobe Exchange 1.1.0.
When running photoshop CS6 the Windows->Extensions Menu is visible.
Also in Mac OSX 10.9 Photoshop CC the Windows-Extensions Menu is visible.

This seemed to work, as there were missing files:
I checked the folder CEPServiceManager4 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4) and CEPServiceManager.exe was missing along with libcurl.dll, libeay32.dll, ssleay32.dll. These dlls are used for network access.
Uninstall  all the Adobe CC products using Prorams and Features
Go to C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Adobe and delete the OOBE folder.
Go to C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Temp and delete all the files/folders, you will not be able to delete some so ignore these.
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins and copy out any or your own plugins.
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins and copy out any or your own plugins.
Use the the Creative Cloud cleaner tool http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.
    Reinstall the CC apps.
Start Photoshop CC and if it asks to copy the Photoshop CS6 settings do this. It may not be necessary.
    Exit Photoshop CC
Copy back our own plugins into  C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins.
This seems to have solved the problem.

  • Photoshop CS6 extensions menu greyed out

I just installed CS6 via Creative Cloud. Before that I had a retail copy installed which I removed prior.
My extensions menu is greyed out. http://snag.gy/UTcsE.jpg

Launch Adobe Extension Manager and verify that standard extensions liek Kuler are actualyl installed. If not, let it check for those and install/ activate them along with any potential updates to those extensions.

  • Why photoshop cc extensions menu is not selectable ?

why photoshop cc extensions menu is notselectable

It's a bloody disaster. I had a whole way of doing things resolved using a series of plugins and none of them are now available. I've been through every thread on here (and elsewhere) and the bottom line is that the whole thing is screwed.
I even spent hours following a process from an option under Help > Manage Extensions. Do yourself a favour, don't bother. It doesn't work, it just opens up the Extensions manager and no matter what you do, you cannot access the extensions at all.
    Thanks Adobe!

  • Adobe Paper extension for PS CC has worked for many months.  Today it disappeared from the Extension menu.  I reinstalled and received a "successful reinstall" message but the extension does not appear any more.

Why has the Adobe Paper extension for PS CC disappeared from the Extension menu?

And, of course, as soon as it isn't 3am, I realise that it is because I haven't run the programs in the background. Oh dear...

  • Why do extensions appear in Ext Mgr, specifically for (2014) but fail to appear in the Extension menu in th program itself?

I know that many (most?) extensions are no longer supported in 2014 program, but it's not really possible to tell what's compatible and what's not from the add-ons descriptions.  The Ext Mgr lists which extensions are downloaded and enabled for each app (PS CC, AI CC, PS CC2014, etc.).  The extensions listed are different for each app.  So, one would expect extensions listed for a given app to work there and show up in the extensions menu so they can be used.  This is not the case.  My Ext Mgr shows a number of extensions for PS CC 2014 that are NOT, apparently, available in that app.  (This list is different from the PS CC list, which shows only things that are useable.)
Why is this?  and how can one tell what will work in 2014 and what will not?  Will some old add-ons be updated eventually to work with new apps?
I have asked this question elsewhere, in conjunction with another discussion, but have not received any response.  I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who understands what's happening here.  Thanks.
    Gail

    Hello, Xiaoyi,
Is this still not working even after "a few days" and a new version of
Desktop app?  I have followed all the instructions above--and then
some--but nothing has changed.  I still have only 2 items in the extensions
window in PS 2014 (Kuler and Floating Adj).  Also, the Desktop CC app keeps
telling me it has installed a number of add-ons, over and over again.  My
home screen shows an endless list of these things, but they aren't actually
    installed.
Any idea when this might get fixed?
Also, how does one control which app or which version (say, CC or CC2014)
    the download will go to?
    Thanks.
