No extraction structure active or no BW connected

Hi All,
While filling the setup Table in SBIW, we are getting Error
<b>No extraction structure active or no BW connected .</b>
I have Activated extract structure in LBWE and also checked in ROOSOURCE table and found the datasource is ACTIVE.
Also, tried replicating and extracting Master Data, it works fine, it means that my connection is good. I can see this structure MC11VA0ITM is Active in SE11.
Getting same error message for all the datasources. We are working on R/3- ECC 5
And BW 3.5.
Anticipating response at the earliest.

In R/3 first transfer Business content application hier and come to RSA 5 and activate the data sources...

On source sysyetm replicate the data source ....proir to that you should have installed/activated that data source in Business content..

Activating Extract Structures in LBWE

Hi, I will be looking to activate my Inventory Controlling Extract Structures MC03BF0 and MC03UM0 with transaction LBWE. I am doing this in my dev client 200. I believe the system only allows me to activate the structures in client 200. My data is located in client 220. Once I activate the structure in 200 it prompts for a transport.
Do I need to transport the activation to client 220 or should I just have authorization to activate the structures in 220 as I can in 200?
Also, what would I do in production if I needed to deactivate and reactivate the structures?

I was having one such situation with Test system.there we were having 2 clients..we have to transport to two clients
it depends on how clients are configured. sometimes when you carry out development it should reflect in both the clients without transport. with next client you just have to load data..
check with basis how transport layer are configured ...

I have a datasource (080CUSTOMERT) in BI7.0 generated by 'Generate Export DataSource' for 0CUSTOMER Texts. When I tried to transport this into Quality system, I am getting the following error.
Extract structure /BIC/CE80CUSTOMERT is not active
The extract structure /BIC/CE80CUSTOMERT of the DataSource 80CUSTOMERT is invalid
Has anyone faced similar issue and how to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.

u can try this.
go to ur QA system and do a generate export datasource in the source sytem then replicate the datassource in the target system then try to transport the datasoure with infosource.

Extract structure not existing/not active

Hello BWers,
I have transported my Data Mart settings to the new BW prod environment (not yet in production). However I get an error message when importing saying:
"The extract structure /BIC/CE8Z0PCA_C01 of the DataSource 8Z0PCA_C01 is invalid
Message no. R8444
Diagnosis
An invalid extract structure has been assigned to the DataSource. An extract structure has to be active in the DDIC. It cannot be a view, since the customer is not able to add append fields for filling in the customer exits to a view."
I have checed and the structure doesn't exist. It automatically seems to have been added to dev package $TMP (local objects) and was therefor excluded from transport...
Now, what I wonder, is how do I get this missing structure into my production system? I have the data sources, but the actual structure is missing...

seems you post the same questions twice,
as mentioned in your other thread, try 'generate export datasource' in your new production system.

Changes in extract structure

Hello All,
The extract structure for 2lis_11_vaitm has been changed and since then whenever I try to execute the datasource using RSA3.
I get an error Import_mismatch_error.
The extractor was working fine in dev. So I collected one structure which was missing in quality.
After releasing the same in quality, I deleted the setup tables and did run RSA3 - I got 0 records.
As per the SAP note 328181 - the old Sales orders are not compatible with the new structure and so we get the same error.
If any new documents are posted they will come in RSA3. How do I make sure that in Production I dont miss any data?

Diagnosis
Errors arose when activating DataSource 2LIS_11_VAITM. An active version already existed before theactivation.
System Response
DataSource 2LIS_11_VAITM could not be resetto the old active version. Since the generated objects no longer correspond to the old active version, they were reset to inactive.
Procedure
The old active version of DataSource 2LIS_11_VAITMcan no longer be used. Remove the cause ofthe activation error and activate DataSource 2LIS_11_VAITM anew.

Goto SE11, put the name of your extract structure in Data type and click display, check the version of the structure. if it is inactive then goto RSA6 and activate your DS.
After activation try to retransport.

Error while enhancing the Extract structure in LBWE

Hi All,
When I am trying to change the extract structure os logistic extractors in LBWE, it is giving me an error saying "Entries for application 11 still exist in the extraction queue".
Below is my scenario:
I have 3 clients in the same R/3 system, Client 010, 020 and 030.
Clients 020 and 030 are connected to my BW system. Client 010 will be used for all development while test loads can be done from clients either 020 or 030. Till now, I have tested my data flows only from client 030. Now, I have to add some extra field to the structure in LBWE but facing the above mentioned error.
I went into LBWQ in both the client 020 and 030 and deleted the queue and then tried to change the extract structure in client 010 but still the same error.
What else do I need to do to resolve this?

Hi Raki,
We are still in development phase. I did all my developments(R/3) in client 010. Till now I did only full loads to BW from client 030 and haven't done any loads from client 020. My BW system is also connected to another sandbox client 100 but I haven't done any loads from that client aswell.
As I have to add some extra fields to the extractor from LBWE, I did the follwing steps in R/3:
1) I have deleted the setup tables from client 010, 020 and 030.
2) Deleted the data from LBWQ from clients 010, 020 and 030.
3) Trying to change the extract structure by clicking on "Maintenance" for the extractor in Client 010.
At this point it is throwing an error.
I thought that the client 100 might be a problem as I have transfer rules created in my BW system from this source system as well. As I do not need this source system anymore, I have deleted it from BW and tried changing the structure in LBWE but still the same problem.
Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

Error while saving Extract Structure

Hi Friends,
We have enhanced the DataSource 0FI_AR_4 by adding new feilds. After that i went to Extract Structure to Un check (Deselect) the HIDE check box for newly added feilds and when i save the structure it is throwing the Error The OLTP source still has errors. When i go to detail it is giving message .........

I Have checked the Extract Structure it is in Active and For the newly added Key Figures there are referenced table and Feilds.
WHat Might be the reason.
How can Deselect the check boxes for newly added At Hide Feild in the Extract Structure and Save it.

BW FICA extract structures corrupted after upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6

Hi All. After the upgrade an include (FKKBWP) in the extract structure FKKOPBW_BASIC contained a field belonging to the APPEND structure ZAFKKOPBW_BASIC (originating from enhancing the configured structure). Also ZAFKKOPBW_BASIC is not visible in FKKOPBW_BASIC anymore, although when checking/activating the structure it complains about duplicate fields, which can only happen if ZAFKKOPBW_BASIC is still referenced. Furthermore, some new includes have also appeared in the extract, amongst others FKKOPBW_EVOLVED.
I have not been able to find any documentation regarding this. Two different systems were upgraded and the structures were corrupted in both systems in the same way, so this is not a fluke.
The application dumps when one tries to access it via SBIW->Settings for Application-Specific DataSources->Contract accounts receivable->Define Fields for the Extraction of Open Items, because the config and structures do not match.
All of this also applies to the Cleared Items as well.
Has anybody encountered this or can somebody point me to some documentation referering to this problem?

Problem in Add/Delete fields in Extract Structure.

Hi All,
When I want to delete some fields from the extract structure it gives me " " error.
Steps:
1. In R/3, T-Code LBWE -> Browse till DS ( ex: 2LIS_02_ITM)
2. Inactive the DS by clicking on 'Active' under Update column
3. Click on 'Maintenance' link under Structure column.
4. Remove a field MCEKKO-KUNNR from left side to right side of the window.
5. Click on continue button.
It gives the below error while generating the extract structure.
"MC03BF0" must be a flat structure. You can not use internal tables, strings,references, or structures as components.-
Plz help how to handle this error ? The same error msg is displayed if I want to add few fields to the structure.

How to create a New Tranport Request for changed Extract structure ?
Hi Experts,
I have a FI AP Generic Datasource containing extract structure with appended fields.
It has already been activated and transported to Testing System.
Now, I am to create a new transport request for this DataSource and Extract structure.
I do not want to delete and recreate the Generic Datasource.
I am trying to look at the options in the extract structure top menu from where I can create a new Tranport Request.
Please let me know the steps

Hi Dev,
Once you send the transport request for any data source from Dev to Testing you wont find that again in your Dev (I mean the TR). So, when you change anything for this data source or view now in Dev and try to save it, it will ask for a new transport request and here you can mention a new one starting from View then activate it and go to RSO2 regenerate it and use the same transport request for this too. When you transport this TR to Testing Environment the data source will automatically get changed.

Change the Domain of a data elements in the extraction structure

I was transport a extraction structure from BW DEV to BW QA System, but in STMS of QA System generated an error "Active ABAP Dictionary" then in T-code SE11 -> visualize -> Components Tab i am watching that the Data Type of a component ZBITRST is QUAN whereas in BW DEV system the Data Type is CHAR which is correct
by double-clicking the component I am watching that the domain of both is different, How I can change the domain in QA System / BIC/VQUAN_000013_000003 to / BIC/VCHAR_000003_000000?
or What is the solution to this problem?

As you told you have correct domain for the info object in DEV system, transport this single info object through one transport.
now check whether domain of the info the info object is correct.
now you can import the extraction structure.
If you want to change the domain type, goto edit mode of info object and select the data type CHAR instead of UNIT and activate the info object. this will change the domain type of your Info Object.

Error :Extract Structure does not exist for the table YFSP03A .

Hi Could you please help me to solve the above mentioned problem?
I have a requirement where i have to generate the Data Source ' 3FI_SL_FS_SI ' using the table YFSP03A .
Using the Tcode: BW03MAST i tried to assign FI-SL to the ledger but it throwed me an error that extract structure does not exit for the table YFSP03A .The reason being that i didnot create an extract structure for the table.So i tried to create it using the Tcode: BW01,but i did not have authorisation for the Transaction and BI team also could not generate as even they were not authorized to generate extract Structures.
So, Please are there any other ways to generate Extract structure for the table so that i can generate the Data source? Or is there any other means of generating the Data Source? And i couldnot access the other Tcodes viz :FAGLBW03, FAGLBW01, FAGLBW02.

Error "No extraction structure for event I3" running set up 2LIS_17_I3HDR

Hi, Experts:
I am trying to activate and run set up datasource for PM 2LIS_17_I3HDR, so that data can be extracted from R/3 into BW 3.5 system.
In R/3 environment, we have 2 clients. client 200 for configurations but has no data, and client 230 has data but can not change configurations.
I have done the following in client 200:
- Activated datasources for for PM 2LIS_17_I3HDR in RSA5.
- Made selection in RSA6.
- Activated extract structures and datasource for application 17 in LBWE and also ran job control. Now I can see the extract structures for application 17 are active in client 200 only, but inactive in client 230. I tried to turn then active in client 230 but got error "Client 230 has status not modifiable".
- I assume I should run set up tables in client 230 because it is the client with data in tables? But when run set up in OLIIBW, I got the error "
   No extraction structure for event I3: Messages active
   Message no. MCEX106
   Diagnosis
   You called the setup for the extractor structures of application '17' (Plant Maintenance). However no extractor structure is active for event I3 (messgaes).
   System Response
   Data for event I3 is not transferred to the BW interface.
   Procedure
   First activate the desired extractor structures for application '17' using the Customizing Cockpit and then start the setup again."
- I can not manually activate extract structures in client 230 because it is not modifiable. I tried moving transports, the path is not set up. I see extract structures for other applications like 11, 13 are active. So I guess there may be other ways to activate the extract structures in client 230.
- I also tried to run set up in client 200, which has extract structures for 17 in active status. But got the same error as client 230.
Would anyone please help me with what to do to fix this?

Just update for what we did to solve this. Both clients are for development. Client 200 is only for configuration but no data. Client 230 has data but not modifiable. Usually, when we create a structure, table, program, or active anything in 200. We will see it in 230 right away without transports. But this is not the case for activating extract structure for datasource from Business Content. We end up having Basis guy manually activate the structure for us directly in client 230 with transaction LBWE. That worked.
