No Field Copy during creation of assets Subnumber

Hello,
Is there any way to deactive the some field data during the Creation of Sub number when using the reference assets number.
I have already unchecked the copy field in Screen layout setting for Assets master data. But still the Capitalisation date and Ordinatory depreciation dates are copyed from the reference assets number.
I don't want to have the old value for the capitalisation date and ordinatory depreication strat date in the newly created Sub assets number.
kindly show the wayout of this issue.

Thanks for reply. you have given me vital clue to solve the problem. We have to uncheck the Main Assets number ("MnNo") in screen layout for master data.

Date error during creation of asset master using bapi

Hi All,
Am creating asset master using BAPI_FIXEDASSET_OVRTAKE_CREATE ,,
but am getting date problem while passing value '21022005' ( or any date ) in the format 'ddmmyyyy'
the error says 'the capitalization date is invalid' ....
the capitalization date is under the structure BAPI1022_FEGLG002 of the above mentioned bapi....
even i have tried using '21.02.2005' its still not working as the capitalization date is 8 char...

Hi John,
Some of the structures you have to fill for the IDOC belongs to a referencing ...X structure. For example structure BAPI1022_FEGLG002 and BAPI1022_FEGLG002X.
When you fill the capitalization dat (BAPI1022_FEGLG002-CAP_DATE = '19981231') it's necessary to fill the corresponding field (BAPI1022_FEGLG002X-CAP_DATE = 'X') to specify that the content of the field should be transferred to the fixed asset. Otherwise it'll be not transferred and you'll get an error message instead.

Error during creation of asset.

Hello, when i am creating an asset for a certain asset class, i am getting an error popup which reads 'Customizing inconsistency - missing/incorrect entry in table T093B'.The depreciation area associated with the asset class has been created by copy in my opinion. Anyone encountered a similar message.

The error is more generic in nature, nornmally you need to check the customizing settings there is an expert area where you can peform the checking,goto asset accounting --> overview for experts .
Perform the step by step checking then you will be able to identify out the error. but if there is any specific message then let us know

Creation of Asset subnumber

Hi,
I just want to know if an Asset main number has been created and depreciation has also been posted on it and now if a sub number is to be created within the same main number system wont allow changing the depreciation start date.
User requirement is to create a sub asset within the main asset whose depreciation has been posted with the depreciation start date field to be in changeable mode but here the system has grayed out the field..
If this is like this then what else can we do

Hi,
This can be done using screen layout. But, be aware that the change in Depn. start date makes the system re calculate the deprecition depending upon the other criteria.

Runtime Error during Creation of Asset (AS01)

Hello Everyone !
I have been trying to CREATE ASSET for a long time but unfortunatly land up on ..... RUNTIME ERROR. I used all the possible ways to get it solved but i am stuck. Error analysis says The ASSERT Condition was violated.
Hope you guys would help me out and push my knowledge further. Answers would be highly appreciated.

Please be aware of note 988238 which is a composite note with many erros in FI-AA when in ECC 6.0 It advices to:
"Implement the following notes or import at least Support Package 6 for the components EA-APPL and SAP_APPL (available as of October 2006)."
Check also note 949802.

Hi Stenwa,
For the field Description you cen set the indicator Indicator: "Copy field group from reference asset" in the screen layout rule.
If this indicator is set, the screen layout rule specifies that when you create an asset using another asset as a reference, the specified field group is automatically supplied with values from the reference asset.
For the logtext there is a possibility to maintaine a text in the tables STXH or STXL with key ANLA

Go to ME51N Trxn code and Click on Personal Setting Tab and Here You can set you Palnt as Default in Default Values Tab.
If It is not there in Default Values then Click on More Fields tab and Select Plant then copy and save.

I have a CUSTOMERH field that needs to be set to 'X' during creation, and the user can de-select them anything. Anyone know how this can be achieved??

have a look to the interface IF_EX_ORDER_SAVE.
this give you the Methods CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE and PREPARE.

I am creating of WBS element by using BAPI ''BAPI_BUS2054_CREATE_MULTI'' .
during creation, passed the ACCount Assignment field as blank.
but when i check that WBS in CJ20n that ACCount Assignment field in coming as checked. Please suggest me how to pass this field as blank.

When you do J1II OR J1IIN u will find the posting date that is nothing but Date which is used when entering the document in Financial Accounting or Controlling. For time system is taking the SAP time to record the doc.

Creation of Asset with Sub-number

Hi Gurus,
Would like to ask for your expert advice regarding the creation of Asset using Sub-numbers.
We have seversal assets where expenses and depreciation will be divided into different cost centers. We are planning to use asset subnumber for easier monitoring of related assets but we are a little bit undecided because we do not know if there are any disadvantages of using asset sub numbers.
Is it advisable to use asset sub-number? What are the things that we need to consider if in case we will use asset subnumber in creating our assets.

I tried to create an asset in AS01 and afterwards create subnumbers ( Subnumbers 1-3 ) for that asset in AS11. But it seems that I cannot edit the field of the assets with subnumbers. It copies the same data as that of the one created in AS01 ( subnumber 0 ).
I also tried to run depreciation in AFAB but only the main asset was depreciated. The sub assets were not depreciated.
Kindly advise the steps to correctly execute this.

No key field found for creation of DataSource - Classification Datasource

While trying to create a clasiffication datasource based on 0PLANT_ATTR, when i assign a characteristic and push the DataSource button, i get the following message:
No key field found for creation of DataSource
Diagnosis
During generation of a classification or configuration DataSource, only those key fields for the object table (field "Obj.Tabelle") that are already present in the basis DataSource transferred to the extract structure. This is the case when none of the key fields of the object table were found in the structure of the basis DataSource.
System response
A DataSource cannot be created without key fields. The action was cancelled.
Procedure
Check whether you have selected the correct basis DataSource and object table. For more information, please see SAP Note 569849.

Hi Alberto,
plants are a special case. The key which is used for the classification
of plants (object type BETR) is not the same as the key which is used in
datasource 0PLANT_ATTR.
BETR has key LOCNR (Site). That's a customer related to a plant. The
customer number will be extracted in field LOCNR.
0PLANT_ATTR extracts the plant in its key field WERKS.
Transaction CTBW and the generic extraction program for classifications
don't know the relationship between LOCNR and WERKS. So they cannot map
them.
I do recommend a solution which would add the mapping between
LOCNR and WERKS:
1. Create please the classification datasource as intended, but use
datasource 0RT_LOC_MGR_ATTR as basis datasource. It's the only
datasource of the content where LOCNR is a key field. So
0RT_LOC_MGR_ATTR is used as a dummy here, to allow transaction CTBW to
create the classification datasource. It's not necessary to extract
data with datasource 0RT_LOC_MGR_ATTR.
2. Extend please the extract structure of the created classification
datasource. Add please field WERKS using component type WERKS_D. Make
this field visible.
3. Fill field WERKS in the extractor user exit EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002. WERKS
can be read from table KNA1 by using the customer number extracted to
LOCNR to select on field KNA1-KUNNR.
4. Transaction CTBW_META on the BW system isn't able to append the
characteristics from the classification datasource to infosource
0PLANT, because the keys are different. So create please a new info
source with CTBW_META. This allows CTBW_META to create the info objects
for the characteristics used in the classification datasource.
5. Add please the characteristics used in the classification datasource
to infosource 0PLANT manually. You will find the info object names of
the characteristics by looking up the characteristic datasources which
are assigned to the classification datasource in transaction CTBW. From
these names you can derive the info object names:
1CL_A... -> C_A...
6. Disconnect the infosource which has been created with CTBW_META from
the classification datasource.
7. Connect please the classification datasource to infosource 0PLANT
Use following info object:
info object   field
0PLANT       WERKS
The info object names for the characteristics are explained in step 5.
8. Add an infopackage to infosource 0PLANT for the classification
datasource.
Now the extraction of classifications of sites should work.

BADI/EXIT/Enhancement spot in during creation of PO to edit Vendor partner

Hello,
I am looking for BADI/EXIT/Enh. spot to edit the vendor partner during creation of a PO.
Due to some business requirement we maintained multiple vendor partner( for same role like goods supplier) in the vendor master and for such cases during creation of PO it throws a pop-up to choose one of the partners. However, in some cases, I have to select a particular vendor partner based on some other field value, and suppress the pop-up. So to choose the right vendor partner I need a suitable location where I can put my program logic.

By now I am unable to test this BADI to see which data is retrieved and the moment that this happens. But the popup that you mentioned is a Z routine ?? If yes couldn't you put your logic there?

MARA-GEWEI is not overtaken during creation of material from cdesk

Hi, we work in ENV SAP R3 4.71 and create material in background out from
cdesk.
Therefore we defined in the customizing of CAD Desktop that in case of
creation of material MARA-GEWEI determination type = constant and
determination parameter is "ST" for "piece"
Every other parameter works fine during creation of material ==> as soon as
we fill a weight into the corresponding fields SAP tells us a message
"ENTER the unit of weight for the net weight" ==> if you press "continue action then" SAP ends creation of material an nothing happens....
ANY ideas?
(will enter this message for sure as well into the oss....)

Issue during creation of control cycle

Dear Gurus,
During creation of control cycle (LPK1), the fields for source information is not appearing in my system.
I compared control cycle in a different ECC system where source information is appearing.
How can make the screen appear in my ECC system.
