No "Fiery Features" with latest driver from Canon only "Printer features". iRC5235's using 'OSX installer PKG'. Installation completes successfully. Can successfully add the printer(s). Just cannot access the "Fiery Features" just "Printer Features". Other users are working fine. The driver is "Canon iR-ADV C5200s-B2 PSV10US". Already have removed, restarted and reinstalled numerous times - no progress. It should be noted that this user may print to the devices, just cannot access any of the "Fiery features" which are desired. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

If the user is only getting Printer Features, then it would suggest that the wrong PPD is being selected when the printer is being added. For example, the PPD's for the internal Canon board will show Printer Features in print dialog. So while you mention the B2 driver is being used, are you sure it was selected when the print queue was created?
To check, you can open System Information (Applications > Utilities) and select Printers in the left column. Then in the top right pane, select the iR ADV C5235 with the B2 attached. The bottom right pane will give information about the print queue. The entry PPD will show which PPD is being used and it should show as you have shown above, ie "Canon iR-ADV C5200s-B2 PSV10US".
If the correct PPD was selected then another possible cause is a problem with the Fiery Features plugin. Via Finder, navigate to
/Library/Printers/Canon/PS3/PDEs/EF005626
and check that you have the file "EF005626(FF).plugin". This is the Fiery Feature plugin. If it is present, then maybe this user is having access issues to this folder/plugin.

I'm almost completely certain that the scanning feature worked before the update. Having said that though, I don't scan a great deal and it may be the case that when I have done, the printer was directly connected to the MBP. However, since I have a laptop it's far more logical that I would have had the printer connected to Airport Express for reasons of portability so I can't really see that I would have had the printer connected directly to the laptop. Besides this, I have no memory of having this problem previously. Therefore, I don't think my memory is to blame although of course, if it were I'd have no way of knowing!

Latest driver from Samsung break Airport remote printing

The latest driver for the Samsung clp-510 breaks/disables the Apple Airport Extreme remote usb printing function. After printing one job, the print is disabled and none of the printers connected to the Airport Extreme appear in the Airport utility. The Airport then has to be restarted.
I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled my old driver and the Airport remote USB print function seems to work OK.

I had the same problem and downloaded the latest driver from Samsung,(had a date of 12/13/08) installed, and then repaired my permissions with Disk Utility. I did not repair permissions, the first go around, so you might want to try that first to see if that fixes it. Currently, Samsung does not have any drivers for the ML-1630 available (might be updating them.) This is the file I downloaded, if you want to see if it will fix the problem.

It is a question of formats. That drive probably is formatted for Windows. You will have to reformat it to ExFAT on the PC, then it will work both on the Mac and the PC.

If you have not already done so, your chances will really improve if you....
1) Connect the printer to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme
2) Download and install Bonjour Print Services for Windows on the PC

Canon iR1025if is printing garbage with latest driver. What am I doing wrong?

I have an iMac with OS X 10.9 installed on release day (10/22). Ever since I upgraded I am not able to print "perfect" PDF files from Preview or Skim. Files generated using LaTeX and some special fonts print "garbage" or blanks with a Canon iR1025if.
The printer was working fine under 10.8 and the (then) latest Canon driver. After I upgraded to 10.9, I kept getting errors when I tried to print something, so I uninstalled printer and old driver, installed new driver, and reinstalled the printer (following directions found here in the Apple Support Cummunities). I could then print again, but every time I use some different (math) fonts, such as Arev Sans, it either prints garbage, boxes or blanks instead of the text. See the picture attached. When the PDF is printed under Adobe Acrobat Reader, it comes out exactly as on screen.
Notice that the same PDF on screen is correct, while the printed version is full of garbage. Other fonts generate similar problems.
Any ideas how to fix this? I'd appreciate any help.

It looks like you are getting some anomolies when printing from these programs, and mulitple fonts are affected. I would recommend the troubleshooting found in this article named:

Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:
Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel. Note: If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.
Use Software Update to find and install the latest available updates. If an update is installed, see if the issue persists.
Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
Delete the affected printer, then add the printer again.
If the issue persists, try these additional steps:
Reset the printing system, then add the printer again.
If the issue still persists, reset the printing system again. Download and install your printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.
Contact the printer vendor or visit their website for further assistance.

Yes, physically fit. All standard 2.5" HDD's have same size. The new generation HDD's are thinner but still fit. Your machines use the previous generation.

How to install Windows 7 64 bit driver for Canon i9100 Printer?

When I try to install my Canon i9100 printer on my HP laptop running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, Windows cannot locate a driver. Visiting the Canon website, I find an update module for the Windows driver. Canon says the printer MUST be installed using Windows Updater before their driver update can be installed. I have tried everything, but I cannot get Windows to find a driver. Windows Updater says that my computer is Up To Date.
What am I doing wrong?

Pictures print very strangely from Canon MX860, printer or Macbook issue?

I recently purchased a Canon MX860 printer to go with my two-month old Macbook. During setup the printer would not print the head alignment patterns correctly. I do not know if that is a related issue to the picture printing problem I am having.
When I print anything from my Macbook (pictures off my Canon camera or pictures off the internet and even graphics from Canon's site), they come out very odd looking. All the colors are printing and I have checked everything suggested in the printer's online help sections. The problem is that only in certain areas of the pictures are colors coming out reversed or mixed up. For example, I tried printing a picture of my blue-eyed, black and white dog in a snowy landscape with green pine trees in the background. The landscape came out relatively normal looking with white snow, green and brown trees and a light blue sky. My dog cam out with the main areas of her white and black coloring looking normal, but her nostril holes came out white and part of her black nose is pink and blue, while the outer edges of the nose are black like it should be. Her light blue eyes came out solid black while the black "eyeliner" around her eyes is pure white in the printout. The darkest shadows on her face came out with white, blue and pink dots, fading into darker colors towards the outer edges. Her white eyebrow spots came out reversed with the highlights in her fur being black and the shadows being white. But her white muzzle is white like it should be.
I don't get it. How can the printer selectively print some pieces of the same picture incorrectly and some correctly? Did I get the wrong printer to go with a new Macbook? Am I missing some updated driver? Did I just get a dud printer? Please help.

Whether your issue during setup is related or not, I couldn't tell you. However, you definitely want to get that sorted out as it's bound to cause problems otherwise.
Unfortunately, I'm not even sure where to begin troubleshooting for you. Have you tried Canon's website or their support? You might get better answers there.

In case you have a problem with reading or writing (smaller) lowercase text, you might be interested in the NoSquint extension.
You can use the NoSquint extension to set font size (text/page zoom) and text color on web pages.

Some questions for you: What happens when you try print multiple copies? Copying Documents.Do you see any error messages on the front panel of the printer when it stops printing? Does the paper get stuck inside the printer? What happens if you print from NotePad?

SB Live! 24 Bit PCI No mixer with latest driv

I just recently reinstalled my SB Li've 24 Bit card that I had not used in awhile. I found new drivers in the download which said they were for a complete package for Vista and XP. (I am running XP.) I have to say the card still sounds fantastic... even beats the latest and greatest onboard "HD Audio" so much better definition in the sound.
However, I miss the mixer feature that was a part of my original package. Do I need to go back to the original CD and download it's Will it be compatible with the new drivers I just downloaded from July of 07?
Perhaps I should uninstall the latest drivers and go back to the orignal CD, but I hate to do that.

I bought a SB Li've 24-bit card, and meet the same problem. I use a pair of sound boxes and or earphones. When I switch them. The sound probability disappear. Then I pull out and plug the connector several times, and then...the sound come back. I think maybe it's the problem of the sound card's sound box setup. Maybe it have the function of "sound box auto check"(Sorry, my English is so......poor). I suggest you change your earphones for a test. Or pull out, plug,pull out, plug........ I think the sound should come back
