"No Filtering - FAIL" Deskjet 3052A

I purchased my HP deskjet 3052A in August of 2011 and haven't had any problems until recently.
After a serious of problems with our wireless router, my father switched to a new one and now my printer is no longer able to connect wirelessly.
When I run the 'Wireless Network Test', under Settings, it shows a FAIL next to 'No Filtering'. The suggestion is to turn off MAC address filtering or add the printer to the permitted devices. I've tried this both ways - with it turned off, and added as an exception. My printer still will not connect.
The authentication type through my wireless system is WPA-PSK. I'm running a Windows Vista 64-bit system.
Please help, as I don't want my $75 printer to go to waste.

No Filtering - FAIl is only caused by two events (that I know of): MAC address filtering is enabled or the network is using wireless channel auto or 6.
MAC address filtering has already been ruled out. Check the wireless network settings in the new router and try changing it to channel 1 or 11. These two channels tend to work the best with printers in general.

HP Deskjet 3052A Software downloaded but drivers won't install (windows 7 home premium 64 bit)

I am trying to re install my Deskjet 3052a. I have uninstalled the software and upon trying to reinstall I get a message that says cannot install drivers. I have used the HP Print and Scan Doctor with no success. I was sent a troubleshoot file by HP-- didn't work. I have disabled start up apps, I have disabled firewalls, and antivirus... still NO solution!
This is the error message I get.
call to driverpackageinstall returned error 1627 for package 'C:\Program Files\HP\HP Deskjet 3050 A J611 series\DriverStore\Pipeline\hpvpl09.inf'
What do I do now?

Deskjet 3052A printing test page, but not even recognized by any programs (Mac OSX 10.6.4)

I recently purchased an HP Deskjet 3052A (using drivers via CD for Deskjet 3050A J611 Series from HP in package) for home printing. It's been working great with the home Vista-based PC and my Win7 Laptop, but I'm having an issue with my wife's MacBook Pro (OSX 10.6.4). I have installed the software several times and the printer is recognized wirelessly in the "Print & Fax" area through System Preferences. I am able to print test pages galore in the "Show Printer Webpage" site. But, no other programs (Office Suite, web browsers, etc.) allow me to select the printer to print to it. I even have it set as my default printer, but when I File-Print, a different printer is shown. I try to select my new printer from the drop-down and I get a brief popup that says "Setting Up Deskjet...Gathering Printer Information, but that goes away after about a second and the printer is not the highlighted one in the dropdown. Like I said, I can print plugged in via USB and wirelessly through the HP webpages, but nothing else recognizes the printer properly. I have installed and uninstalled this printer several times and the same issue keeps happening. Please help!

OK, let's do a couple of things:
1. Repair Disk Permissions: in your Applictions > Utilities folder open Disk Utility. Click once on your Macintosh HD, the click the "Repair Disk Permissions" button along the bottom of the window.
2. Reset the printing system again:
- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

MsgFilterRules.dat cannot be read, v24.4 & 24.5 on W7x86 all filtering fails

I have recent problems with Message Filtering failing.
Numerous times I have saved xxx.default profile, uninstalled 24.4(tried updating to 24.5 but no benefit)
Downloaded a fresh copy of 24.4, installed, restored the contents of xxx.default profile to newly created profile, overwriting same file names(all as per Profiles support info)
Tested Filtering by sending emails from another computer, all works ok, then 3 -4 filters, error message -
"Your filters did not work because the msgFilterRules.dat file which contains your filters, could not be read. A new msgFilterRules.dat file will be created and a backup of the old file, called rulesbackup.dat will be created in the same directory"
The new msgFilterRules.dat file is of course empty, requiring all the filters to be re-entered after each failure.
I would appreciate any assistance, that can be provided.

HP Software and click Scan a Document or Photo for Deskjet 3052A

I have a Deskjet 3052A. It used to have an option for HP Software and click Scan a Document or Photo. It disappeared. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Nope. Trying downloading the full featured driver. It downloads, but when I install it it only installs the Basic printing services. This happened a couple of years ago and there was a fix. Just don't remember. Any ideas. I don't want to get up and push the button on the printer everytime I need to scan.

I understand you are having some trouble with the scanning from your computer aspect of the HP software. You now have to actually get up, go to the printer physically and scan. You have uninstalled the software, reinstalled it and downloaded it and nothing seems to be working for you.
I recommend you download the HP Print and Scan Doctor and run it.

Hp Deskjet 3052a J611

I have windows 7-32bit. I install my software for my Hp Deskjet 3052a and it will not print. I have installed this wireless. I did everything it told me to do as I was installing. I can get it to scan but it just won't print. This happens all the time. Once I do get it to printing it will print for maybe a day but then it will stop. Lots of times it tells me scanner is not available. I have this wireless to 3 computers. It will not print from any of the computers, the wireless is blue and it is turned on.
Would someone please help me before I throw this out the window.

Custom Office 2007 Doc Service Errors: Too many, ignored; Filtering Failed

We are running SES 10.1.8.4 with the MS Office 2007 workaround outlined at: http://blogs.oracle.com/searchtech/
While indexing production files, a number of the following errors were logged (cleansed to hide actual paths, files names, servers, etc.):
ERROR crawler_5 1114 files inside zip file, Too many, ignored: /.../46629_bin
ERROR crawler_5 EQG-30123: Filtering failed for "http://someserver/somefile.docx&lang=en"; trace information:
1114 files inside zip file, Too many, ignored: /.../46629_bin
It appears like all these errors are for docx files. This could just be a coincidence. We have very limited access to the files themselves due to confidentiality.
In reading the README file for the MS Office 2007 document service, ZIP is one of the required document types for this workaround. Specifically,
the OfficeX files are XML packaged in zip format, so you must tell SES to index zip files
Is the custom MS Office 2007 document service not able to index certain docx files?
Are these files too large and/or complex for indexing?
Any guidance is appreciated.

More information. All the documents that throw this error are between 9.5 - 13.5 MB in size.

Scanning on Deskjet 3052A

I have a Deskjet 3052A that I just installed onto my computer with 64-bit Windows 8.1 and it will work for printing but when I choose the scanning option on the printer it will not work. The printer says "Computer not found. Ensure the HP software has been installed on the computer." However, the software has been downloaded onto the computer from the HP website.
Please advise if you have any more options for me.

Can't connect my HP Photosmart c309g-m printer to my Linksys WRT54GC router. "No filtering = FAIL"

I'm having trouble connecting my HP Photosmart c309g-m to my Linksys WRT54GC router. The diagnostics report states "No filtering = FAIL" in all my attempts.
First I had set up the wireless security of the router with a WPA2 Personal passphrase.
Because that didn't work, I downgraded my security to WPA, since the diagnostics report suggests that that's what it's actually using for encryption. This didn't work either.
I double and triple checked the MAC address of the printer in my Wireless MAC filter settings. It was correct. However, it still didn't connect.
Grudgingly, I turned MAC filtering off. However, the printer still wouldn't connect.
Now I'm out of options. Any possible ideas for this problem?

Here are a few ideas:
1. Make sure the SSID is being broadcast.
2. Make sure that DHCP is active.
3. Do not use MAC filtering (it is not a good security measure, anyway).
4. Change the router channel to 11.

Analysis Filters fail within large reports

I hav a WebI report with 8 Report/Analysis filters which works fine when smaller amounts of data si viewed.
But when the report is run fror a larger amount of data resulting in a 1000 + pages the selections in the Analysis filters fail to work.
Has anybody encountered this problem and is there any sulotion but to select a smaller amount of data.

Well we discovered what the problem was.
It was caused by a only partly upgraded environment to SP3.
The upgrade from BO XI Edge 3.1 to SP3 seemed to succeed without giving no error messages but InfoView was not upgraded wich CMC and WebI designer was.
If I had worked with SP3 previously I had reacted directly at the graphical differences between InfoView and CMC.
So this problem had nothing to do with amount of data or number of pages.
To solve the problem we reinstalled the environment with BO XI Edge 3.1 SP3 full version.

Ultra Search - Filtering failed

I'm using Oracle 9i and Ultra Search on Windows 2000, the
crawler is able to crawl the files using file:// protocl, but
the log says that filerting failed for PDF and MS - Word
documents, also the search for these documents is not working.
It is urgent as we have to soon implement this..

Try to verify the Inso filter ctxhx is working in your
environment; manually do the filtering from the
command line. for example:
ctxhx <input file> <output file> ascii iso8859-1 H Meta
where ctxhx is located under $ORACLE_HOME/ctx/bin/ directory

No Filtering = Fail

I have a HP b110a All-In-One printer.
Recently after changing the security settings to WEP, we've been having trouble trying to get our printer to connect to the wireless router. On the Network Test Report it says 'FAIL' next to 'No Filtering'.
My router model is the standard Sky Broadband router and here's a screenshot of my settings:

Also before anyone suggests switching from WEP to WPA, there are people in the house with gaming devices that can only connect via WEP, so it's not an option at the moment.

You can try disabling WEP and see if it fixes your problem. I don't recommend either WEP or an open network. Either one opens you to a huge security risk. Honestly, I'd replace the (obviously old) gaming boxes with something that supports security and move to WPA or WPA2.
Did you try changing channels (from auto to 11)?
Another thing to try is to disconnect your DSL cable from the back of the router, restart the router (by removing power momentarily) then install the printer without the DSL line attached. After the printer is installed, re-connect the DSL line and restart the router again.

Driver install problems for HP deskjet 3052A windows XP

I am trying download driver for hp printer . I download the HP solutions program and try and run it and nothing happens ? I do not have the original install disk? Is it due to settings on my pc? I have a Dell dimension 5100 desktop pc. I do have a HP deskjet 6988 installed on the pc currently.

If by HP solutions program, you mean Printer Install Wizard, it is only for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. you can however, download and install your software using the following link; HP Deskjet Full Feature Software and Drivers.
If this does not work, please provide me with any applicable details, such as error messages and/or screenshots. How to take and post a screenshot on HP Support Forum.

IDS4210 event filters fail following update

Upgraded an IDS4210 yesterday from 414s186. Used patch 414h, service pack 415s189, and signature update 415s197.
Following updates, it appears some event filters are being ignored... particularly the event filter for sig 1107 (rfc1918 private addresses).
Any ideas on fix?

Opened TAC case 602341295 on this event...
