No flowing emails from 2010 to 2003.

We are on exchange migration  2003 to 2010, all emails from both servers to/from  outside works , same with emails from Exchange 2003 to 2010. The issue is sent emails from 2010 to 2003.
We have Spam Mail Server for outbound and inbound external emails.
The following steps ware done:
1- Connectors bidirectional:
 New-RoutingGroupConnector -Name "Interop Exchange 2003" -SourceTransportServers "exchange2003.localdomain.local" -TargetTransportServers "exchange2010.localdomain.local" -Cost 1 -Bidirectional $true -PublicFolderReferralsEnabled
$true
2- Check telnet from both servers.
Thanks

Hi,
Hope both the servers are on the same exchange organiation\ AD domain.
Where are the Emails sent from Exchange2010 mailboxes getting queued
What is the status on the messages in queue.
Are you able to send test smtp emails via telnet to mailboxes residing in Exchange 2003
Are emails sent from Exchange 2003 to 2003 working fine.
It appears you have swapped the source and destination servernames.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-in/library/aa998574(v=exchg.141).aspx
To create the routing group connector, you must specify the source servers from the originating routing group and the target servers in the destination routing group. The routing group connector is created in the routing group of which the source server
is a member. By using the Bidirectional parameter, you can specify whether the connector is used for one-way or two-way mail flow. If you specify a two-way connector, a reciprocal connector is created in the target routing group.
The source and target servers must be Exchange 2010 Hub Transport servers or Exchange 2003 bridgehead servers.
Try creating a new Connector in Exchange 2010. You might need to Remove the old and restart the Transport Services to update the changes.
New-RoutingGroupConnector -Name "Interop RGC" -SourceTransportServers "exchange2010.localdomain.local" -TargetTransportServers "exchange2003.localdomain.local" -Cost 10 -Bidirectional $true
You can also try modifiying the existing connector as well.
Set-RoutingGroupConnector -Identity "Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)\Exchange Routing Group (DWBGZMFD01QNBJR)\Interop Exchange 2003" -Cost 70 -MaxMessageSize 10MB -SourceTransportServers exchange2010.localdomain.local -TargetTransportServers exchange2003.localdomain.local

So I have a coexistence set up and running perfectly. However, all emails sent from mailboxes on the 2010 server are being routed through the 2003 server (even for external accounts). Is this a cost issue with the routing group connector I setup between
    the two?

Nope. There would be no difference there.

  • Copy emails from Outlook 2003 to BB

Is there a way to copy emails from MS Outlook 2003 to my Blackberry? I am using BIS not BES.

Well, perhaps not so strange. BB's aren't by design an email storage device...they are a wireless email handling device...having history of emails prior to the BB's existence (as far as activation is concerned) might be contradictory to the basic design characteristics. I realize that WM devices indeed sync the entire mailbox...but that's WM...not BB.

What's the best software that can be installed on a windows computer that will convert email from an outlook 2003 .pst file to an mbox file used in Microsoft Entourage 2008? I want one that is legitimate (genuine), free and can convert over 100 emails.

  • Moving from 2010 to Office 2013

    Hi all:
I am going to move from Office 2010 Pro to Office 2013 Pro.  I need to know if I import all my emails from 2010 to 2013 that Outlook 2013 will NOT go back to my servers (where all my email has been stored for over 3 years) and download all the emails
over again - giving me duplicates that I will have to clean out. (I had an issue with 2010 that kept downloading all my emails over and over again until I moved that server inbox to a different folder) - so I am little hesitant due to that experience.
What is the best way to approach this migration?
    Any help is appreciated

    Hi,
To upgrade to Office 2013 from an earlier version of Office, it is always recommended to completely uninstall the Office suite before starting the installation process of Office 2013. This is because an upgrade process will still leave several (support)
    components installed.
I am not quite sure how you did this last time, but uninstalling Office will not delete any Outlook data. After upgrade, you can start Outlook again to configure your account.
What type of email account do you use (POP, IMAP, MAPI or Exchange)?
If you are using an Exchange account, then your messages will be re-cached to a new compacter format ost-file.
If you are using an IMAP account, your messages will also be re-cached in an .OST file, not a pst-file.
If you are using an POP account, and not configured to leave a copy on the server, you should first backup your .pst file. When you re-configure your account in Outlook, you'll have an option of “Deliver new messages to: Existing Outlook Data
File” to direct it to your restored pst-file.
    Hope it helps.

  • Exchange 2013 upgrade from 2010 and no mail flow and cannot move mailboxes

I am in the process of moving to Ex 2013 from 2010. I have installed Ex 2013 SP1 on a new server 2012 R2. All of my Ex 2010 servers are SP3 RU 5. Ex 2013 is running and I can connect through the EAC and see all other Exchange servers and connectors that
were already in existence. Several puzzling things are happening now that the servers are in coexistence:
    1) As soon as Ex 2013 was installed on the network, many Outlook users are continuously being prompted to enter their domain credentials.  They can cancel the prompt and Outlook still sends/receives email.  No user mailboxes are on Ex 2013 yet.
    Why is this happening?
    2) I am following the Ex 2013 Deployment Assistant and I get to the step to move the Ex 2010 Arbitration mailbox to Ex 2013 and the move does not happen--it just says "syncing" and never completes.  I tried moving a test mailbox from Ex 2010
to the 2013 database and I get the same result.  I created the move request on the Ex2013 server and I see it as queued on the Ex2010 server, so I know they are "talking" to each other.  However, when reviewing the status of the move I
see "MapiExceptionNoAccess: Unable to open message store".
    3) There seems to be no mail flow on the same Ex2013 server or between the Ex 2010 and 2013 servers.  I created two new test user mailboxes in Ex 2013.  The Ex2013 mailboxes cannot send/receive to each other or to Ex 2010 users.  This
seems strange, unless I am completely missing something in the Ex 2013 install?
I know this is a lot in one post, but following the Deployment assistant, I was hoping this would be something that others have faced.  Thanks for any input here.

Does the below points already fit for you.
Exchange 2013 Supported with the following minimum versions of Exchange:
    1) Exchange*** 2010 SP3 on all Exchange 2010 servers in the organization, including Edge Transport servers.
    2) Exchange 2013 CU2 or later on all Exchange 2013 servers in the organization.
*** If you want to create an EdgeSync Subscription between an Exchange 2010 Hub Transport server and an Exchange 2013 SP1 Edge Transport
server, you need to install Exchange 2010 SP3 Update Rollup 5 or later on the Exchange 2010 Hub Transport server.

  • Exchange 2012 R2 Email Flow to/from IronPort C170

    Hi,
We have just built an MS Exchange 2012 R2 server and need to configure the "Mail Flow"/connectors properly to send outbound emails to 2 IronPort devices and allow inbound email from those 2 devices.
I am able to telnet from the Exchange Server to both Ironports using Port 25 but see no connections from Exchange itself (no outgoing emails ever arrive at the IronPort).
Telnet from IronPorts to Exchange gets a 4.3.2 message that the Service is Unavailable. Messages are queued on the IronPort but not delivered to the Exchange Server.
Does anyone have working examples of how to configure the connectors on Exchange to do this? PS. It worked with Exchange 2003 :(
In my example Exchange -> Ironport is 192.168.4.15->192.168.4.175
    IronPort -> Exchange is 192.168.24.175 -> 192.168.4.15
    Thanks!

For the "Recieve Connectors" we reset everything to the default and made sure "Scoping" for all was open to 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255
For the "Send Connectors" we made a new connector called "IronPort" with the following properties:
Delivery: Added 2 smart hosts 192.168.4.175 and 192.168.4.176 - which are the Data1 NIC on both IronPorts and have the hostnames OutboundEmail.myco.com and OutboundEmail2.myco.com
So, Simplifying was the way to go.

    Proposed solution:

    New-RoutingGroupConnector -Name "Ex10Z-Ex03B" -SourceTransportServers "Ex10Z.company.com" -TargetTransportServers
    "Ex03B.company.com" -Cost 100 -Bidirectional $true
Restart transport service on Ex10Z, restart smtp service on Ex03A and Ex03B
Will this proposed solution work or should I be looking elsewhere?

    That didnt work.
Here is the new get-routinggroupconnector | fl. Interesting that it created two Ex10Z-Ex03B identities despite
me issuing the Bidirectional flag. Shouldnt there be one for Ex03B-Ex10Z?

  • Suddenly cannot send email from MSOffice 2010

Starting Thursday, I began getting a pop-up box in Outlook (MSOffice for Home and Business 2010) regarding my password. Thinking I had been hacked, I changed the password but continue to receive the error.  Since then, I have been able to receive, but not send emails from Outlook.  I am not having any problems on my iPhone, iPad, or iCloud.com with sending or receiving my me.com emails.  In Outlook, i am not having any problems sending/receiving from my gmail account.
Today I deleted the account from Outlook, then added it back.  It is saying it cannot send the test email:
Cannot send the message.  Verify the email address in your account properties.  The server responded: 530.5.7.0 No STARTTLS command has been given.
based on that, i tried using the email address as   icloud.com instead of me.com but get the same error message.
When i open the icloud control panel it says that iCloud is not set up in Outlook.  I activate it and it shows as set up, but then when i open Outlook, the icloud control panel goes back to showing that it is not set up in Outlook.
    Help!!

Sadly, this is still not working.  I did fix the In and Outbound server names, but I have some questions about how to configure the rest per the settings you directed me to.
I have attached images showing you how I am configured now and I am still getting the same error message indicated above when I attempt a test.  The outbound email is still not working.
If I select requires authentication I get the following error when trying to use it.
For the Outgoing server, if i try SSL or TLS or Auto, I get the following error when trying to use it.

  • Cannnot send email from ipad outlook exchange 2003

I installed the new release 4.2 and have synced my outlook account. I can RECEIVE emails, delete, move folders etc. successfully. I can sync/add/delete calendar items. I can add/change/view all contact info.
I just cannot send email! Get:
    Cannot Send Mail
Check the settings for the outgoing servers in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars
    My:
    email
    Server
    Domain
    Username
    Password
all must be ok as I can sync everything, just not send an email from this account, either thru WiFI or cellular data.
Any suggestions? I dont see any options available to me to "adjust" outgoing server stuff...

  • Delete emails from a specific folder in Exchange 2010 SP1

    Hi all,
Since Exchange 2010 SP1 does not have “-DeleteContent” parameter in mailboxexportrequest any more, how do we delete emails from a specific folder of a user mailbox? (Personal folder, not default folders).
Please note that the ASQ for searchquery in Search-Mailbox does not support “folder”.
If going for retention policy, is there a way to tag a retention policy to a specific folder of a user mailbox without user attention?

    Hi William,
Yes, you may not run the Search-Mailbox to delete items in specific folder at the moment. Hope it will be back soon.
You can create a Personal tag, users can apply personal tags to folders they create. But users have to select related Retention Policy using Outlook or OWA manually.
