The answer is no. But you may see this feature in the next release.
There has been request for this feature from other users like you as well, which might be available in the next release of Edge Animate.

  • Is there a way to mass add m4a music folders to the library?

I have several thousand music folders containing m4a music. The files are in the iTunes music folder but are not in the library. iTunes can only add one folder at a time to the library, a time consuming, user hostile restriction. Is there a way to mass add all of the folders to the library using either iTunes or another program?

Will iTunes ignore the non-music folders and files?
Yes, it will only import the files it can import.
I've read posts about files disappearing seemingly caused by iTunes.)
It shouldn't but you do have an up-to-date back of all your files, correct?

  • How to get my images always order by file name, and not by time of captur, in all the folders in the library?

How to get my images always order by arquive name, and not by time of captur, in all the folders in the library?
Sorry for the poor english, but im portugues.
In the library we can change the order of classification of image by, time of capture, name of file etc... I'm wondering if its possible define to be always by the name of file.
    It ´s possible?
And i have other question, in print label we have an option to auto rotate to feet in page to have the image using the maximum area in the page (auto rotate, zoom etc), its possible to change the orientation of the rotation to be always in  the other direction?

The Muvos are USB Mass Storage devices and do not have the ability to display track information based upon ID3 tags.
The Zens all read and display track info based upon ID3 tag information that is either gathered from an online source or entered by the end-user.
If you want the track information displayed instead of the ID3 tag information, you could edit the ID3 tags and rename the title to whatever you have as the file name. Not sure why your file names would differ so much from the ID3 tag info though, almost all of my content has the same name for the filename as it does on the ID3 tag title.

  • Aperture - Transfer a photography folder and sub-folders to the library

    Hi All,
Being a photographer, I recently jumped from my Dell XPS to the latest MacBook Pro and am still new on the use of Aperture.
Working on PC before then, I used to work a lot on Adobe Bridge to organise my pictures. I now work with Aperture that I find it amazing so far for fast treatment but I have an issue with uploading my photos to the library.
I have set up my full library on my windows explorer following a certain organisation (Folders and subfolders) and would like to upload all these photos on my Aperture library following the same structure. When I try to do so, Aperture just propose me to upload the photos on the folder but not on the subfolders.
Can anyone help about that? I basically need to load all the photos in one shot to my library and can't find out how to do it!
    Thanks for your help,
    Olivier

Hi, I am also fairly new to Aperture, but I think I got this one right... when I opened Aperture for the first time it did not have a library, and asked me to create one. I selected create new library, and then told it to leave my originals where they were. I selected the option to import folders as projects, and viola, the Aperture library resembled my Windows folder layout. If you delete the library (careful it is not the original files) and then open aperture you also get to start fresh in this way.
This is great until you import new photos into your master folders. To get them to show in Aperture in their folders/projects, you seem to have to download a new project, dash off to the source folders using Finder, reorganise the images and then recreate the library again using the same steps. Works, but long. Also I am not sure then how to manage all the changes I have made using the Vault. Lie I said, I am a beginner also... and seem to be stuck in transition between Windows workflows and Mac workflows...

  • Moving files and folders in the Library module

I teach a lot of LR users and one area that's consistantly frustrating and unintuitive (even to some experienced users) are the rules for moving files and folders around in the Library module. I'm not sure I have all the right answers/suggestions/remedies but here are the basic points worth examining:
    1) Additional hard drives aren't listed unless images from it have been imported into Lightroom. It would be nice if people could add a new hard drive without importing files from it. People don't get it that you can select "Add Folder" from the Folders pop up menu. Classic example: Say someone has purchased a new hard drive for archiving purposes. It's empty and they want to drag folders of images onto it from within LR. Possible Solution: include a "Add Drive..." option from the Folder's panel + pop-up menu that would behave the same and add a root level folder.
    2) One can't drag more than one folder at a time. While I assume this is designed to prevent accidental mass movement it would be nice if one could enable the movement of multiple folders.
    3) One can't drag a folder onto the main drive bar that lists the drive's name and capacities - one has to drag onto a folder within a drive. I'd love to be able to drag a folder onto the root level of a drive by dropping onto the drive bar (this would be similar to the MacOS finder).
    4) Sometimes the root level of a drive isn't apparent. One may need to right click on a folder and select "Show Parent Folder" to show the root level folder which is named after the volume. Showing a root "folder" that has the same name as the drive is also confusing to people since there isn't actually a folder on the hard drive with that name.  I completely understand why folders are hidden by default and I'm not sure the remedy is but, again, this isn't intuitive for new users. If #3 worked as described perhaps we could have root level access without the root folder?

Perhaps I should add that I really like and appreciate a lot of the decisions that have already been implemented into the Library's Folder's tab. Moving files instead of copying them, showing only folders that contain imported images, the ability to show or hide parent folders.... Bravo!

  • HT201250 How do I copy over my Microsoft Office, aren't there other folders in the Library? Or is a new one created?

I don't have a functional disk drive on my laptop, but I have the program backed up in Time Machine.
I know there were some folders created elsewhere (library, I think) & I just want to make sure that I am not going to mess it up if I just select Microsoft Office from my Time Machine backup.

They're pretty much all over the place. I can only list for Office 2011.
These are all folders. Just grab them and everything within.
    /Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/
    /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/
    ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/
    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/
    ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/
These are preferences files in your user account not in a subfolder. You may not have all of these.
    com.microsoft.autoupdate2.plist
    com.microsoft.desktop.updater.plist
    com.microsoft.DocumentConnection.plist
    com.microsoft.error_reporting.plist
    com.microsoft.Excel.plist
    com.microsoft.helpviewer.plist
    com.microsoft.myday.plist
    com.microsoft.office.plist
    com.microsoft.office.setupassistant.plist
    com.microsoft.OfficeNotifications.plist
    com.microsoft.outlook.database_daemon.plist

    com.microsoft.removeoffice.plist
    com.microsoft.setupassistant.plist
    com.microsoft.visual_basic.plist
    com.microsoft.Word.plist
But I do have to ask. Since Office is all you want back from Time Machine, why not just reinstall from the original Office disk? It would be WAY easier. Especially since I can't guarantee this list is everything. The only thing you'd have to retrieve from TM then would be the stuff in the Documents folder.

  • Renaming folders (not the library folder)

I have a huge music library and many playlists in iTunes. Over time, I changed the names of a few of my folders (eg, from "Seventies" to "70s"). iTunes maintained links to a lot of the files, but has lost track of many more. IIf I change the folder name back to the old name, iTunes sees the lost files but loses others.
The iTunes DB is not a text file, so I couldn't edit it. I did change the file locations in the library xml file (ie, edited the document), but iTunes just changes the references back to the bad locations when I click on the songs.
Is there a way to rename a folder that contains iTunes tracks and not have iTunes lose the files or to tell the iTunes Library that the folder name has changed?

I do a fair amount of moving of files on my computer and don't have many problems with itunes losing locations. While this isn't telling you how to solve your problem. I can say I don't have problems and end up with the same result, so this is purely empirical evidence. I almost always have itunes open when I move my files from folder to folder. I am almost always moving files to folders with different names rather than editing the names of existing folders.

  • HT1386 i tunes is installed in c drive and the free disk space is less than 1.5gb, i want to load the folders to the library and sync it to my ipod classic

Try either posting in the iPod Classic forum or the iTunes forum. This is the iPod touch forum.

  • Add ability to sort folders in the library by date (Like Picasa has)

Sometimes I just want to find a specific folder and edit pictures in it. The problem is, you don't always remember what you named that folder you need. By allowing the folders to be sorted by date, it's usually a lot easier to find the folder because you know about when it was.

Sounds like you should organise all your folders by date order and give them a descriptive name, That way you can find things far more easily. Then you should keyword the pics so you can find within entrire library.
here's a fictitious set of folders to demonstrate.

    2008-01-29 Gardening

    2008-02-03 Cat's Birthday

This structure as shown above is also good in that it will survive different programmes and even different OSes. Are you going to rely on Adobe, let along LR being around in 30yrs time? One should never let a programme dictate your fundamental filing structure - iPhoto, iTunes yuck, messy.
I also try and separate out differing shoots from each day as I'm hardly likely to want to look through gardening and night out shots together and it also speeds up individual folder rendering.
This specific structure is designed so it will always correctly arrange by date, do this and your problem is solved as LR simply imports your folder structure.
I've used this for a long time now and it's very robust.
    Though
    2008 - 02 - 17
    also works as does
    2008_02_17
just be consistent with what ever suits you.
I prefer using dashes to underscores, more readable and easier to type and I think this method
    20080117
is stupid/useless [unless you are a computer].
I use Bridge to import from Cards [LR sucks at importing as it doesn't copy all file types] and you can set Bridge to place images in folders by date shot automatically.

  • Can't import files or folders into the library

I go through the steps to "add file or folder" to library, but it doen't move the music over. It doesn't give an error, it just doesn't do it. When I use the drag and drop technique it doesn't work either. Using XP tablet edition. Any idea's would be great. I have uninstalled it, and reinstalled itunes to the latest version. TW

  • Creating Folders in the Library for Channel Strip Settings?

When I 'Save Channel Strip Setting As', the new setting appears in my Library of Channel Strip Settings, but I want to create a folder of 'Custom Settings' so I don't get bogged down with a bunch of free-floating settings in my Library.  How can I do this?  Thanks!

Just figured it out.  But in case you're reading this and having the same problem here is what I did...
In finder I went to the following location :
    User/Library/Application Support/Logic/ChannelStripSettings/Instrument
in the 'Instrument' folder I created a new folder and titled it Custom Settings, then moved my settings to that folder.  Now in my Logic Channel Strip Setting Library looks much cleaner!

  • I have two podcast "folders" in the Library, and system crashes when I try to Refresh

How can I remove the second listing for Podcasts from the iTunes Library - it appeared automatically when I subscribed to a new podcast and now when I try to refresh the old list (where all my podcasts were downloaded) iTunes crashes... repeatedly. Thanks.

I found a very fast and easy solution: I selected all the podcasts in the first window, copied them using the command in the Menu>Edit (Command+C did not seem to work). I then pasted them into the new empty folder. All the podcasts already downloaded appeared. The only problem is that some podcasts did not remember which had been viewed or not, while did keep the information. I just had to re-subscribe to the ones I still wanted by clicking on button.
For some reason, the previous Podcasts folder was only recogized as a list by iTunes, this showed up when I deleted the previous folder (contextual menu). I also had to re-select which ones I wanted synced with my iPad and iPhone.
(I did make a backup of the Podcasts folder in the Finder, just in case, a bit like voodoo computing)

  • Why does iTunes create and run playlists when I add folders to the library? How do I stop it?

    Just as the title says.
Some albums, when added to the iTunes library, will auto-play and create a playlist. Is there any way to stop this?

What version of Windows do you have?
If the downloaded scripts open as text files then you may need to install the Windows Scripting Host: Windows Script 5.7 for Windows XP
It may be that the file association for .vbs files is incorrectly set.

  • How do I create and use folders in the library?

I cannot see how to do this - are there any instructions available, please?

I think because of how Muse works this will be a problem unless they do an update to solve that. Not sure how as you would normally code your stylesheet for your web project and content holder or not the styles not being inline would happen automatically.
