No fox tabs with V5? Is it possible to return to V4?

I updated to V and now my fox tabs seems to incompatible, can I return to V4 until this is fixed?

This morning i woke up and call to Apple Spain support, they offer me to reset my mac's PRAM and NVRAM.

Previously before resseting PRAM and NVRAM on Internet Recovery screen when i choose to make new WiFi connection and i entered SSID and password, my Mac was showing loading animation for a log time.. 1 hour, 2... untill reset.
Now after we reset my Mac's PRAM and NVRAM, it's saying my SSID WiFi password incorrect.
Sure it is, cos i use WEP 128 bit as Csound1 told me.
I search in google my Movistar router and find out the way to login inside, i used 192.168.1.1 ip in browser address bar to log in and press 1234 password and username.
Unfortunatly i was unable to change securety to WPA, instead i just turn off all security and passwords
Restart my router, Mac... and it's instantly connect and start recovery!
I'm very happy
Now i'm downloading OSX Lion, ~2-3 hours.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

I'd like to use Fox Tab exclusively and not have the tab bar at all. Is this possible?

This isn't so much a problem as a request for information. Like the topic says, I want Firefox to not show the tab bar at all, but still retain the tab function so that I can open tabs and view them with Fox Tab.

Fox Tab wasn't what I had the problem with, I was simply trying to provide background information that could possibly help someone answer me. fortunately, it worked. indirectly. edmeister, your tip led me to Fox Tab's options, where I found a check box next to "Hide tab bar."

Is it possible to have multiple bookmarks files or tabs with different content, like Bookmarks 1, Bookmarks 2 etc. inside the same profile?

I guess this is more like a new feature in Firefox. I work at home and would like to separate work related bookmarks in a separate bookmarks file which is as easily available like a standard bookmarks tab. I propose a possibility to add multiple bookmarks tabs in the menu bar. It would be nice if those tabs could be renamed at will...

You can organize them in a few main folders (Home, Work, etc.) to make it easier to distinguish the bookmarks.
You can also export the Bookmarks to an HTML file and make copies of that file with the needed bookmarks. 
You can open such a HTML file in a Firefox tab and middle-click a link to open that link in a new tab.

Is it possible to change the settings in AR Properties Advanced tab with Adobe Acrobat XI?

I noticed when I went to print a PDF double sided, that despite the following the guidelines from Adobe on this process, it still printed single sided. I checked the properties of the PDF itself and on the Advanced tab, the DuplexMode was set to Simplex and was greyed out.
Is it possible to change the settings in that tab with Adobe Acrobat XI?

I have two printers, both support automatic duplexing. Any PDF we receive
or create we are unable to print double sided on our mac mini¹s. I didn¹t
make it clear in my question that we were fine on Windows XP, but, having
recently changed to Mac have encountered this frustrating problem.
I did a lot of research prior to recording the question and it appears I am
not the only one who has come across this problem, and I have followed the
guidelines that Adobe promote on their website to be able to print double
sided, which doesn¹t work on the mac mini Osx Mavericks.
Because the Properties, Advanced tab has ³Print Dialog Presets² that are set
to simplex and greyed out I took that to mean that no matter what printer
settings I make, and I think I¹ve gone through all that I can, the pdf will
not print double sided on Mac but will on XP.
Sorry this isn¹t the reply you must have been hoping for and look forward to
receiving further advice in regard to this matter.

Is it possible to disable scrolling of tabs with mouse wheel?

Often I close tabs using middle mouse button which is also the wheel. When I point cursor on the tabs, wheel accidently rotates and I close wrong page tab.

You can't disable the tab scrolling with the mouse wheel AFAIK, so you need to use other means to close the tab. 
You can close the current tab with the close X on the tab or one close X at the end of the tab bar or use the keyboard with Ctrl+W. 
Not selected tabs can only be closed via the right-click context menu as an alternative.
Otherwise you can try to set the minimum width of a tab to a larger value to have more room with the scrolling.

I used to be able to open separate windows with Firefox, and the content could be completely different in each window. No matter what I did in any window, no OTHER window open at the time, nor any of the content therein, was affected. This is no longer the case and it is extremely frustrating for me.
I do ''not ''like tabs and do not use them. I prefer multiple windows plus I am so used to using them, for so many years now! But with v9.0.1 I suddenly can no longer do what I've always done with my browser without this aggravating problem constantly reminding me that I can't have what I want in firefox anymore.
Or can I? Does anyone have a solution I don't realize exists?

AppleScriptObjC can use pretty much everything in the Cocoa API, so yes, it is possible.
Note that a view is not the same as a window, and a window can have multiple views. There are also many ways to implement "tabs"; take a look at some of Apple's applications - they use various mixtures of toolbars, checkboxes, and radio buttons, for example. An application such as this will be a lot more involved than what you have done so far though, using custom classes and subclassing existing ones, so be prepared to do a lot of reading and researching.

Fox tab stopped working once adobe flash player 11 was installed on my mac OS X 10.6.8 it is just a black screen. If I uninstall, fox tab shows up and says I need to down load adobe again

When I double click on the tool bar on the bottom of the black screen on fox tab, adobe settings shows up. I delete adobe then the black screen shows the fox tab again and says to view it I need to down load the latest version of adobe flash player.

Tylerdowner, as a moderator, one would think that, prior to adjusting comments/solutions, especially when not having a Mac, you would do more research (bet you know someone with a Mac, to duplicate problem), or pass responding on to a moderator who does have a Mac (I am amazed that you are even a moderator on Mac problems/situations, if you only have access to a PC). Had the solutions above worked, I would not have needed to figure out another solution (we all know the newest release of anything is the most secure). Finally I am open to any fixes (tested) that you can provide, that improve upon mine. As a moderator, maybe you have pull with the Foxtab and/or Adobe people to get them to work out compatibility, and lastly, maybe add a warning at the Foxtab add-ons page, after verifying the problem yourself, with an associate's/friend's Mac.

My fox tabs are gone. How do i get them back?

I work on my computer using many sites, so the fox tab was a great help for me. i had organised my mostly used sites into tabs, but one day they just got lost and all i see is a blue screen. on the bottom left, there are some features that i used to click on to edit my tabs, but they cannot be clicked now.
PLEASE help me to get my tabs back. I'd really appreciate it!!

Foxit reader with wine: full search don't react to mouse

Hello,
I want use full search feature in Foxit reader with wine.(to search for text in pdf's in specific directory). It does find text occurrences, *but* full search tab does not responds to mouse, and i can't select results. (actually, i need to tab through all bullets to start the search, because they don't react to mouse at all)
Does anybody tried it? Is there any solution?
I tried all Foxit versions, and they all behaves the same.
I used wine-1.1.44, but it was the same with all wine versions, for ~1 year.

I had this feeling that there will be those questions...
To sum-up, no native Linux pdf reader has abilities, that i need.
I need to work a lot with pdf's, i need searching in directories, i need to annotate.
Foxit through wine is the closest solution to my needs, but there is this problem...
So please, don't ask any questions why i don't use this and that, i tried everything.
PDF-XChange works nicely with wine, and does everything, but it uses way too much recourses.
Okular is quite good, but when you annotate something, it gets so ssslow, and it stores markups not in pdf, so other pdf readers don't see annotations.
Back to question. Does anybody knows, why Foxits Full search sidebar, don't react to mouse? Maybe you had similar problems with other software?

Lock Tabs with Tab Control

Hi all,
I am working on a LabVIEW program with a tab control that creates five tabs with questions on each tab page. I would like to lock the tabs such that the user could not move on to the second tab by clicking on the next tab, but only by clicking on the correct answer to the question displayed on the tab. If that is not possible, I would like to at least lock the tabs so that the user could only move on to the next tab after a set unit of time, or that they were automatically directed to the next tab after that amount of time. I'd really appreciate any help that could be offered!

You could use an Event structure to detect when the user tries to move to a new tab and test for your conditions there.

Can I open a tab with a different page (of my choice) than my homepage?

I dont think its possible but maybe someone can tell me Im wrong. I wanted to open a tab with a different page than I open a new Safari window. I would think this would be easy to do and I could just type in the URL I want, but Safari doesnt give me that option. If I go to Preferences/General to the open tab option , I only can do homepage/same page/book marks/ empty page/top sites. I wish Safari had the option for me to type in the URL I want - just like I can with a homepage.
So maybe someone wants to have the AppleStartPage as their homepage but wants their Gmail as their tab opening page. Or GoogleNews as the homepage and USAToday as the tab page....or iGoogle as the homepage and Apple Store as the tab page...Well you get the picture.
It seems like it would be such a simple t hing for Apple to do - a lot easier than creating Top Sites - but I dont see that option. I hope Apple will change that in a Safari Update. Why not give users more flexibility and choice in how they want to configure their computer experience?
If Im wrong, pls tell me how to set the tab for the URL that I want.

I just uploaded firefox 5.0, which does not support the top sites feature I've used so happily. Is there a similar add on that does work with 5.0? I feel like I'm blind!

Fox tab stop working on windows 7 ultimate and running firefox 10.0.2

I'm having a problem with my fox tabs on my laptop running windows 7 ultimate. I have firefox 10.0.2. My fox tabs don't work and I'm not sure when it happen because I don't use it on my laptop a lot. I have a desktop running xp and it is OK on it. I use it a lot on the desktop. What do I have to do to get my fox tabs working again? I tried removing them and reinstalling them but it didn't work.

The last couple of days when I opened fox tabs none of my top sites was there. All I had was a black screen. It also was frozen and I had to close the tab and reopen it.
I don't know why but this morning it seems to be ok. The only thing I did yesterday was to update my plugins for real player 15.0.2.72.

No fox tabs with V5? Is it possible to return to V4?
