No front LED on G5. Does anyone know why this happens?

Press ON button. Fans come on but nothing else happens. No front LED (unless I hold it ON).
Any clues?

Might be time to replace the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan, far less if ever without AC power, & can cause strange startup problems...

Great answer, and it led me to where to solve the problem. In the field definition screen there is a category drop down list. If you choose something other than none from the category drop down list then that field won't appear in the list of fields when you attempt to batch import a group of files.

(It is just a plain photoshop file, a watermark is added, then save as jpeg - the jpeg is saved to a different folder than the original photoshop file.) Apple menu (left on top) and choose "force Quit":
choose appstore and forcequit.
Start Appstore again, login, and choose the Update page.

OK so this does not happen every time I start up my Mac but all most. First there is a message window that comes up and says "Do you want the application Directory Service to accept incoming network connections? I have made sure that in the firewall pane that it says to allow always and it does. The second is another message window comes up and says basically that my clock is set for a time before March 24th 2001. I have made sure that my Mac sets the time from the net on start-up. But also when this message comes up the clock is set and displaying the right time. Ant one have ideas on these issues? Thanks for any help.

I’m in the same boat as Lyssa on the network issue, but the clock problem does sound like a PRAM problem. You might try resetting the PRAM before trying to get to the battery.
To reset the PRAM hold down the command-option-p-r key combination at startup, before you see the gray screen, and continue holding them until the computer chimes at least twice.
If that doesn’t help, follow Lyssa’s advice and check the clock battery.

i have an ipod touch 4th gen when i was downloading a app the screen went black.i tried to fix it by pressing the button but it made it worse red lines appeared on the screen and after a while it got fixed but i was just wandering why this happend and if it would happen again

Maybe it will happen again and maybe not. If t happens after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod then it is likey a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Get messages where? Have you signed out in System Preferences>MobileMe? - if you haven't, you should first go to the iDisk pane and stop iDisk sycing if it's running, then go to the Sync pane and stop any syncing, then go to Account and sign out.
if you still get problems, go to (user)/Library/Preferences/ByHost and delete all .plist files beginning with com.apple.DotMac and com.apple.idisk, then reboot.

Cannot download songs get error 5002. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I was able to download about 4 new songs today, but then started to get an error 5002 when trying to download a few more. Does anyone know why this happening and how to resolve? I've already shut down and restarted my phone, logged out of itunes and relogged in...neither solved the issue.

Photos from cameras or scans have only one layer (the 'background' layer).
You can start with that 'background' layer and duplicate it or add other layers in the editing process. For instance you can make a selection of a subject and put it on another layer; a common use is to desaturate the 'background' and to keep the color in the selected subject in your newly created layer.

sorry all - disregard I've identified the issue in the language settings with one set to 'English - United States' and one to 'English - United Kingdom' - now fixed.
