i have a soundblaster li've LS and an desktop theater dtt2200....
please help...........................

Cheers guys,
the leads are all ok, I've even swapped the leads incase the front one was broken but to no avail, the control panel is also setup ok, I ran the "Creative Speaker Settings" software and when it goes from channel to channel all the speakers work apart from the front!
I've just plugged in my Audigy Sound card and that gives me all speakers so definetly not a prob with the speakers. But I think the Live 24 is better than the audigy so I'd rather use that!
any ideas?

  • K8N Platinum, no front sound

    Hi folks,
I have a K8N Platinum SLi with an AMD64 +3500, I'm using the onboard Live 24-bit chipset. I also have a zalman ZM400B-APS 20 pin PSU. I know my speakers are ok and I have downloaded the newest creative drivers but I can't get sound on the front speakers. The rear, centre and sub work fine.
I have noticed on this forum that other users are having difficulties with creative chipset and their resolution was to get a PSU with a -5 volts rail (24 pin), these people get no sound, whereas I get some sound, do I still fall under this catagory?
    cheers

  • Front sound inputs no longer work! PLEASE HE

I installed a Sound Blaster Audigy SE a week ago after my motherboard sound card shorted out in a thunderstorm. It was a Realtek AC97. When I installed my Sound Blaster, the front inputs (line-in, mic, and headphones) on my Compaq Presario didn't work anymore. I opened the computer again to see if there was any way of disconnecting them from the motherboard and hooking them up to the Sound Blaster, but I couldn't find any plugs that fit the jacks on the Sound Blaster. I'm running XP home on a Compaq Presario SR403WM. Can any one help? It would make my life SO MUCH easier!

Test again in a different user account with a small test library. Does it still not work for a different user after reinstalling?
And test in your regular account with a small test library.
is it possibly something to do with an incombatiability between the new update and a plug-in?
Which plug-ins are you using? Are they all compatible with Aperture 3.4 and Lion?
Aperture 3.4 and later: Some third-party plug-ins are no longer compatible

  • Z87 G45 - Will amp power front sound aux?

My board came with what says a built in amp and and has the SBX Pro.  I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 558's and am curious to know if i want the amplification to them do i have to plug them in back of the comp on mobo?
My ultimate plan is to use the SBX Pro to use virtualized surround sound at hopefully better quality then a gimmicky gaming headset.  I plan on trying this out first, and if that doesn't cut it ill invest in a sound card.. but im not a big audiophile so is the main reason i want to try this first.
So could someone please confirm is the amp would work on the front audio jack of my case ?  Which is BTW a Thermaltake Chaser mk-1 series.
    Thanks!

The only sports that are amplified are the golden audio jacks on the back.

I used a UVC-compliant USB Logitech camera (the
    Fusion) driverless
    under OS X 10.4.9.
FWIW, none of these devices are actually driverless. They rely on drivers either supplied separately by some company (not necessarily the vendor of the product) or bundled into the OS. Usually, the bundled drivers are based on open standards like UVC mentioned in the link. Apple writes a lot of the bundled driver code itself but some of it comes from outside sources like LSI or Intel.
An unfortunate fact of life is that open standards are not always as well defined as they ideally should be. Another is that certain companies sometimes set their own standards that aren't quite compatible with open ones, sometimes to implement real or imagined improvements on an open standard, sometimes to gain a marketing advantage.
The good news is that the market usually -- eventually -- favors the open standard. The bad news is that it often takes some time for this to happen, leaving users -- particularly Mac users, who still represent a smaller market force than those using Windows -- without a solution for an uncomfortably long period of time.
Your best or only recourse for now may be to downgrade to 10.4.9 until this gets resolved, but you should also take into account that not all users are having these problems so it may be something other than the update itself that is causing the problem. I just video chatted with a colleague using an Intel Mac mini who is having no problems whatsoever -- we are both puzzled why he is unaffected while others are.
Sorry this couldn't be of more help.

  • Making music sound 'live'

    Hi,
I have a scene set in a bar and I'm putting some songs in it. I'm trying to find a filter to apply (or any other way) to make the music sound as if it's playing out of speakers in the bar, rather than just a track from a CD inserted over the scene. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Hey, there, hope all is well. I'm actually an audio post guy, and I have some suggestions for you. First, experiment with healthy doses of reverb and/or slap delay. Don't know about the size of the club you're trying to emulate, but think about how the "ting" of a ride cymbal bounces off the back wall in a real club.
Second, experiment with "low pass/hi cut" EQ (basically the same thing).
"rolling off" the high frequencies can really give a "around the corner" sound to the audio. As if hearing the sound from an adjacent room. For bathroom scenes, really roll off those hi's so only the boom-a-boom is left.
Remember, for picture, you can eq/reverb sounds more than happens in real life.
    Hope any of this helps.
    Evan.

  • Front sound connections

Can someone help me with the correct connections for the front phono jacks of my box to my MSI 915G combo.
I have two jacks on the box, and the following wires labelled:
    L Audio out
    R Audio out
    Ground
    Mic Power
    Mic In
On the JAUD2 jumper there are 9 pins, with ground, 2 sets of L & R analogue inputs, and some other referring to jack sensors.
So, for the ground, L & R audio out wires it's easy.  But what about the other two for the mic????

    Dear Steve,
" 1 PORT 1L Analog Port 1 - Left channel " is the connector for the mic in.
" 3 PORT 1R Analog Port 1 - Right channel " is the connector for the mic
    power.
thats what i got from msi
ive asked then to list them all in terms of a regular case
but it does tie in with dannys suggestion
    a normal manual gives this
ÿ1    AUD_MIC    Front panel microphone input signal
2    AUD_GND    Ground used by analog audio circuits
    3    AUD_MIC_BIAS    Microphone power
4    AUD_VCC    Filtered +5V used by analog audio circuits
5    AUD_FPOUT_R    Right channel audio signal to front panel
6    AUD_RET_R    Right channel audio signal return from front panel
7    HP_ON    Reserved for future use to control headphone amplifier
    8    KEY    No pin
9    AUD_FPOUT_L    Left channel audio signal to front panel
10    AUD_RET_L    Left channel audio signal return from front panel

  • 770-C45 + Everest 5.02 front sound ports?

Well its like this, I just built my computer using this motherboard and set everything up in bios and it worked perfectly right out of the box, I installed Vista home premium with no problems using AHCI, everything works well but I have an odd thing happening when I use Everest 5.02, a pop up asks what I have plugged into the sound jacks, not really a problem, just a bit odd, that’s with onboard sound, anyone else notice this? BIOS 1.3

No, I always use AHCI, I know it doesn't make much difference to the speed, but I use it anyway, I normally use raid 0 but I only have one hdd in this computer, and I have a sound card on its way, I never did like the idea of onboard sound, my post was more a question for other 770-C45 users to see if they all do it

  • How to configure onboard Front Audio Pin ?

    Dear Sir,
I just have problem with front audio pin connector. My motherboard is MSI 915G Combo. In the manual it's describe as follows..
    1.  PORT 1L
    2.  GND
    3.  PORT 1R
    4.  PRESENCE#
    5.  PORT 2R
    6.  SENSE1_RETIRN
    7.  SENSE_SEND
    8.  KEY
    9.  PORT 2L
    10.SENSE2_RETIRN
My Casing has only 8 pins. I already connect pin 1,2,3,5 and 9. It can produce front sound for head phone now but not clearly enought. But my casing has left another 3 pins to connect.
1 is GND and another 2 is for MIC.
So How can i connect it for front mic ???
    Can any1 help me .....
    with regards,

  • Front row on my macbook

    it said its not installed
but i already have version 10.4.8 and if i put in the disc its gonna start for 10.4.6 any suggestions?
is there a website where i can download it?

As I mentioned, Front Row does not live in the Applications folder. Front Row lives in the /System/Library/Core Services/ folder. Spotlight specifically ignores files in the System folder. (I believe that Apple is trying to hide it from inexperienced users who should not be messing around inside that folder. But, that doesn't mean you're not qualified.) You would not find it by doing a search. However, if you double-click inside your "System" folder, then the "Library" folder and then the "Core Services" folder, I'll bet you see Front Row. If not, then you do need to reinstall it from your install disk.
The "FrontRow.pkg" file was probably inside your /Library/Receipts/ folder. This folder keeps a record of everything that was installed on your computer using Apple's Installer application. Since Front Row is an install that is separate from Mac OS X itself, it has a separate "receipt".
So, does Front Row not come on when you use your remote control? Does it come on when you press Apple-esc on the keyboard? Why not tell us exactly what the problem is that you're having?

  • What's the easiest way to run a mainstage sound without the laptop?..midi sampler rack?

    Heya Guys!
I use just ONE logic/Mainstage sound live. From the EXS25
I would like to use this live WITHOUT having to take the laptop onstage or on tour with me for that matter.
I used to run Korg keyboards but MISS the mainstage/logic sound.
So can i export the patch into a logic supported sampler rack mount and run it with a cheap midi keyboard?
    Any other options??
my reasons are, everythings getting trashed onstage. smashed laptop screen and now a dented up Korg keyboard.
I would love to take JUST a cheaper style midi keyboard onstage.
    would love any suggestions

EXS24 is a sampler, so a sound from that could be imported into a hardware rack mount sampler.
BUT, this is not just an export-import move.
Depending on what sound you are using, and how complex that sound is, it could take anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours to transfer the sound to another sampler.
Some sounds only have a single sample covering the whole keyboard, but some of them have many many samples, mapped to different key ranges and velocity layers.
There are programs, like Translator Pro from Chicken Systems that can do this transfer, but you may not want to invest in a program like this just to transfer one sound.
What sound are you wanting to use?

  • Cmedia sound 4 channel not work in 98 but ok in XP!

Weird.   In Windows XP, the AC97 surround sound works great, no problems, and WinDVD 4 sees the sound device as 4 channel.
On my Win98SE install, same driver pack version, only 2 channels are seen by WinDVD, and the games I run (Thief 2, Max Payne) don't see the Cmedia card at all!   They see my M Audio Delta Audiophile fine.
Anyone got any ideas to fix this?   I notice the MSI download page has a 24 MB cmedia download, but I'm on 56K modem!
    Any help greatly appreciated

Well, I'm running an M-audio card as well (see signature below), so perhaps that's confusing things?   Perhaps I'll try removing it ...
Thing is, at the moment I use the Audiophile for the main Left/Right front speakers, as it's £150 worth of top digital-analogue converters, etc, and I send it the digital out from the C-media; the rear L/R I take from the C-media S-bracket.   Works under XP, although the EAX game (Star Trek Elite FOrce) I've got on XP claims it can't see an EAX soundcard - yet the surround sound works perfectly, and WinDVD sees all 4 channels no prob (see above posts).
So ideally I'd like to keep the Audiophile, especially as I don't want my front sound coming out of a tiny jack plug with relatively cheap circuitry if I've paid big wonga for a posh soundcard.
Then again, getting suround under 98 would probably be worth it!
Can I just ask people with working setups to confirm whether or not a second 2-channel soundcard will confuse 98SE?
    Thanks as ever ...

  • Playing sound from the mic input

I'm running my turntable through a mixer and then running the line level signal into the mic input on my macbook. It sounds fine when I record the sound, but I can't seem to get it to play sound live.
I used to do this on my pc by Muting and un-Muting the mic or line-in input, but on the macbook this doesn't seem to work.
    What am I doing wrong?

I guess I should add that the mixer is showing normal volume levels and when I run Audacity, the volume levels are normal. I just want to convert my input from "recording only" to playback.
