No HDMI output after driver updates

I have for almost a year succesfully been using my micro HDMI port on my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro for watching movies via my projector. Today, Driver Booster suggested I update 10 drivers that were outdated. So I did. It included some Intel(R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal Network drivers, an Intel HD Graphics Family driver, Management Engine Interface, a few audio drivers, and afterwards my micro HDMI port is completely dead. The computer doesn't recognize anything when I plug I connect the HDMI cable. Usually the computer screen changes format, but now nothing happens.
I've tried to do an Open System Restore to undo recent changes, and it seems to have undone all the driver updates, but my micro HDMI port still is not working.
Any suggestions?
ps: I'm aware of the issues with the micro HDMI port on the laptop being too recessed -- that is not my problem.

Hi there @eddymath
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel.
I understand that you are having trouble with an HDMI connection, and I am happy to help you with this.
Since you have installed multiple drivers and tried a different operating system disk, I would suggest starting with a System Recovery to the factory image. That is assuming that before you started all of this, you had already made a backup of your important data, so it is safe. A system recovery to the factory image restores the system to how it was out of the box. I am assuming that along the way you did not already remove the existing recovery partitions.

Once that is done, and you have done any required updates, let me know if you are still having trouble with the HDMI, and specifics about the symptoms.

• Mic Jack not working after Driver Update, Console unavailable, can't install

LMic Jack not working after Driver Update, Console unavailable, can't install? I've had nothing but problems after downloading the latest updates via the auto-updater.
I'm currently using the Creative SB X-Fi Pro Series card. I've had it for close to 6 months and have not had any issues until I ran the auto-updater last night, and while it downloaded over 250Mb of updates, all of them failed to install as described below.
I'm running on Windows Vista Ultimate, 64-bit
My main issue is the fact that my microphone is no longer working. I've done a lot of searching and I think the problem has to do with flexijack not being a microphone jack, but instead is an 'in-line' jack. I can no longer find my audio control console, which allows me to switch between gaming and entertainment modes, ect. The solution I found on the KB says that you can switch the blue jack on the back of the card from an in-line jack to a mic jack within the Audio console. I tried downloading it, but while going through the install, I get an error saying the files could not be found and a prompt which asks for a disk or file location. The same thing pretty much happens with all of the items I attempted to download and install.
I was able to run console fine, as well as use my mic yesterday before I attempted any updates. I attempted the updates because since I've had the card, I've had issues where after I exit a game, all my sound will become crackly and static. Before, I would simply open up the console and switch back-and-forth from gaming to entertainment, which would fix the problem most of the time. If that didn't work, a restart would fix it, but now I've opened up a whole new set of issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I also want to say that the support tickets should not require a serial number to submit a new ticket. My product is registered, so I got rid of the box which contains all that information, leaving me at the mercy of these boards...

At least it has been a couple of days that I haven't had any issues. The first symptom was the usual connection drops every X amount of time. For me it was about every 2 hours. I first unchecked the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option in the Power Management tab of device manager and disabled U-APSD support in the Advanced tab of device manager. This action did not solve the problem. I then downloaded and updated the driver from the Intel web site (http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect) and this seemed to solve the drops; however, a new problem arised: Everytime my Yoga would wake up from sleeping mode, all my wifi networks were gone and the adapter showed as disabled in Device Manager. I went back to device manager and checked it back and that seems to have solved the problem. So far I haven't had any drops and everytime my laptop comes back from sleeping mode the WFi connection is still there! Here is a recap of how everything ended up: -The driver version I installed is 17.1.0.19-The driver date is 7/21/2014-In device manager|Advanced, U-APSD support is Disbled.-In device manager|Power Management, "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked. Hope this helps somebody else.

Hi!
After solving the proble of? "crackle, pops and noise" with a driver update for Audigy Platinum Ex, I see that my remote is no longer working, i've try reinstalling Remote Center from original drivers and applications CD and after a Volume Up or Down the Rear Left Speaker gives me no sound.
I've seen in others threads in the forum and they say about installing Media Source, but after installing it still doesn't work.
Any clue how to make it work again?
Using Windows XP SP3 and Audigy Platinum Ex.
Thank you again in advance.
PD: Excuse my poor english, it's not my nati've language.

Hello Jashue67,
Sorry to hear about all the trouble with the Apple TV.  It sounds like you have done a restore but need to pair your Apple TV remote at this point.  You can follow these steps to pair the remote:
Or, you can press and hold the Menu and Next/Fast-forward buttons on the white Apple Remote, or hold the Menu and right buttons on the aluminum Apple Remote, for 6 seconds to pair.
You can find the full article here:

• 8330 alltel curve won't sync with PocketMac, even after driver update

Sooo I have a blackberry curve 8330 I recently got through Alltel. I
installed PocketMac twice now, and was reading all about the FAQ's and
tech. support and it's not recognizing my blackberry. I tried syncing
and it said the "error 1: skipping" thing. I also downloaded the
"driver update" and it's still doing the same thing. It shows my phones
like charging when it's plugged in but I can't sync it. This is my
first blackberry and I'm confused.
Can someone help me, please?
And, does anyone know what "Enterprise Activation" is?
Thanks

I also had problems syncing my 8330 Blackberry with my Mac with a program called PocketMac and after installing and reinstalling the program several times and syncing for hours on end (the program was just sitting their), I also spent $49.95 for PocketMac Tech Support. Still no results. I did a little more research and I found a program that I thought was easy to install as long as you follow the simple instructions and it worked great, the program is The Missing Sync for Blackberry Version 2.0.1. it cost $39.95 it is available at www.markspace.com.

• Unable to boot up after driver update on X200 - please help!!

When I boot up now my screen goes to "Windows XP," then  hangs on a blank blue screen (not BSD) - won't go any further.  Scoured other forums and have not found a solution - tried:
1. Disabling VT-d in BIOS
2. Loading defaults in BIOS
3, boot into diagnostics from BIOS
4. Removed primary battery *have not yet tried removing backup battery)
How do I boot windows XP in safe mode using this computer?
Also tried F11 *disk doctor" - it would not launch.
This all happened as I was configuring my system today for the first time (relatively new system) and performed many driver updates - did this one by one and things were going fine.  Then, I discovered the ThinkPad System Update package - installed this and then it scanned automatically for driver updates - I did three at once (I think one was finger print reader drive, one AMT 4.2, and the other some Microsoft hotfix) - after this, no starting up.  I know there's a BIOS update to do (3.11 - I have 3.10) and I have created the boot CD for this though don;t have my base station/CD with me so I have to wait to try this until tomorrow.
Any ideas?  Please help - this is insane, and I am kicking myself as I knew I should have kept doing these one by one and I also need a good imaging program to create images after each successful update so I could just roll back on an unsuccessful one - is there a "SuperDuper!" imaging program for Windows ("SuperDuper! Is the one I use for Mac)?
Thank you.

Nvidia's official site. I don't know if I am allowed to send links on this site so I am not going to do that.
Anyway, I tried to contacted the apple on 16'th and just got a response a few minutes ago.Unfortunately then I had to reinstall my mountain lion all over again by recovery. Well, I lost many stuff but 'Hey! Mountain Lion got much faster for some reason so, I'm not complaining.

• HDMI Output After Windows 10 Update

I recently updated my operating system to Windows 10, and upon doing so I noticed that when I plug my laptop to the tv through a HDMI cable, there's no sound output to the tv. Picture is transfered just fine though. I've looked for many solutions and have tried most of them out but to no avail. Is it something to do with the Windows 10 update? ANy help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi  ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your Windows 10 update not seeing your HDMI cable. Have you tried to restart the Notebook with the HDMI connected. This worked for me. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating. You could try to right Click on the sound icon and select Playback devices choose Digital Output Device HDMI select that. I hope something here works. Thanks.

hi Scoutmaster316,
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
You will need to boot the system into safe mode.
the only option to boot there based on your situation is to crash boot the system
When you turn on the system, Lenovo Logo Appears then Black screen wait maybe a minute the hold the power button down to crash it you may need to reapeat this 4 to 5 times until it boots to a page like this
Once you got that proceed with these selection
Troubleshoot / Advanced Option / Startup Settings
Then you should rerach options with Safemode Select that.
If the driver is the problem you should be able to boot here,
Open device Manager and rollback the Video Driver

• Error after driver updates

I'm running win2k on a K7N2G-L.  After updating drivers from MSI and nvidia I get an error message about half of the time when windows starts up stating that certain files required by windows have been replaced by unrecognized versions, and to please insert my win2k CD.  The options are "retry," "more info," and "cancel."  If I insert the CD and hit retry the message goes away and the win2k installer program starts up asking if I want to install windows, etc., which I assume I do not.  "more info" does not give more info.  Cancel allows windows to continue starting.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get this to go away, or what might be wrong?  It's strange that it doesn't happen every time.  It also happens sometimes when just logging out of windows and back in rather than restarting.
Thanks for any help.
Russ

Need more info on what drivers you're using...if you use MSI then use MSI, if you're using nVidia then use nVidia...don't mix them as this will give you problems...
Most ppl are using the 2.03 release from nVidia with this board and the -ILSR board both original release and Delta release...
If you decide to go that route then you will need to do a clean install of your OS....there are ways around it but it's best to just start from scratch...
If you can get a copy of Win2k that has SP3 on it already...if you can't find one you can look up how to slipstream it onto a burned CD using Google to look up sites that have step by step instruction.
Load the OS first
Install SP3
Load the 2.03 package
Load 41.09 nVidia video drivers *or whatever flavor you're happy with*
Do it in that order to ensure that your drivers are installed in the proper order and you won't get error messages...
Cheers!! 8)

• Videos stuttering after driver update

My GF and I both have the T500 with the Radeon 3650.
A couple of month ago I updated my video drivers with the one from the update page.
Since then the audio of videos I play (in every player. WMP, VLC) is stuttering.
My GF had the default drivers on her T500 installed - no problems at all.
I updated her video drivers, because she had problems with a game she was playing.
Now she has the exact same problem I had.
I tried an XP system restore to the point before I installed the drivers, but it didn't work.
I guess if I install the old driver version everything will go back to normal, but I can't find older version of the Lenovo drivers for ATI. Is there something like an Download archive or does anyone has a tip for me how to fix this?

Dear All,
I have the same problem as Nukemeister and GF..Recently updated my video drivers (now 7yd126ww) since then stuttering videos when using VLC / WMP)..Looked at various settings / options but as a little more as an PC amateur I couldn't find anything to tweak....Again before updating I didn't had this problem.
The easiest solution would be to revert back to the previous drivers but  I guess there must be a more educated solution...
Any help, tips or tricks??? Don't be shy...
