My suggestion is that you reconsider whether your in Non-Drop frame. NTSC standard is Dropframe 29.97. I'm afraid you may have this backwards. DVX100's default to dropframe (29.97fps) in the USA. FCP could be encountering a pulldown cadence every few minutes because it expects a frame drop that is not there.
Remember the frame drop only occurs every few minutes so this makes sense. With standard NTSC capture (not 24fps pulldown removal) such dropped frames don't mess anything up. They just subtly shift the timing and sync of the audio track. You could have captured this way for years and rarely seen a problem with short clips. When doing a pulldown removal, a missing or in your case extra frame can confuse the pulldown removal system as it expects to find the video encoded in 29.97 rather than 30fps.

when user try to combine multiple PDF files into one file from network drives (hence that user have full permissions), received this error:

Steps taken so far:
- cleared windows temp files
- cleared acrobat temp files
- tried, same error
- ran acrobat repair, tried it out, same error
- made adjustments to "PDF Printer Properties per this article

- removed adobe acrobat and reinstalled it completely from scratch.
- ran updates

- granted the user full permission access to acrobat folder under program files, still same error
- then, copied files that I need to convert locally to the system and tried to combine them, it worked!
- its not permission issue as I tried the same from my domain admin account and received the error.
- also the user reported that acrobat takes 15 o 20 sec each time opening a file

Thanks!If I change the properties to open as administrator, within the program I can combine pdfs over the network drive.
. I can't drag and drop or combine pdfs from windows explorer and everytime I open acrobat it asks if it can make changes.
So it's still best to copy to c drive in order to use Combine and Portfolio features but would be really nice to use as designed. -

When attempting to merge multiple word documents (office 2010, acrobat 10.1.10) they fail to create a pdf with the error detailed above. No errors are displayed within the event viewer in reference to these failures. The same issue occurs when attempting to right click on a word document and converting it to PDF. Performed repair of Office and Acrobat, did not resolve the issue. Anyone have any additional tips / tricks for getting this to function properly?

The print function works perfectly... the current workaround for the end user is to print the files to pdf, then merge them together (though this isn't viable when wanting to merge 10+ documents due to the time it takes to print each one individually). Merging other documents works just fine... It just appears to be specific to Word documents. -

A lot of the time the files can not be combined because of incompatible fonts, or at least font sets that could not be resolved. Maybe that will give you some direction to look at.

I received the error (in iCal on my iMac): "The server responded with an error". The error message is very large, and if there is a way to acknowledge and close it I can't find it. Because this error message is open, I can't do anything in iCal. Any suggestions on how I could kill this error message? Thanks.

It can be that you have an old version of Photoshop Elements and a new camera.

First, try a different batch of recordable DVDs. If you still have problems, you may want to make an appointment at the genius bar and have it checked. The drive may be failing.

So photoshop cs6 was working fine a few weeks ago. After not using it for about 2 weeks, I try opening a RAW file and I get this error every time. JPGs open and work fine. I have extensively searched on the internet for solutions and have tried everything such as: disk checking, deframgenting, playing around with photoshop preferences, deleting temp files, resetting preferences, clearing disk space. I have assigned two hard drives for photoshop, one with 16 GB free and the other with 8 GB free. I am getting very frustrated. Please help!

That's woefully inadequate for scratch file space.
The rule of thumb I follow says to figure on 50 to 100 times the size of your largest file ever multiplied by the number of files you have open. I have seen the scratch file exceed 300 GB once, an admittedly rare occurrence, but it often exceeds 200 GB when stitching large panoramas and the like.
Additionally, if either one those two drives you mention with "16 GB free and the other with 8 GB free" happened to be your boot drive, you'd be in a heap of trouble because neither one of those drives has nearly enough space to accommodate the swap files of the OS and Photoshop's scratch.
As an example—and stressing that I'm aware that others have even more scratch space than I do—I keep two dedicated, physically separate hard drives as my primary and secondary Photoshop scratch disks and a lot of GB free on my boot drive for the OS. I have 16 GB of RAM installed: -

Adobe PDF creation cannot continue because Acrobat is not activated
My system is Win7 and I have Acrobat X Pro. It was working fine at first and then I start getting this error message when I try to create a PDF file. I search the web for a solution and the only one works for me is to end the AcroTray.exe from Task Manager. However, this is not a very good solution since I need to create quite a bit of PDF files. And the combine function stops working. Now it's like my Acrobat Pro doesn't work at all. I tried reintall the Acrobat but it doesn't do any good. Can someone help me with this problem please?

FWIW, these steps did not work for me. Here is how I fixed this error for me (Windows 7 64-bit, CS6).
I went to Start Menu > Control Panel > Programs and Features
I found that I had both Adobe Acrobat X Pro installed *and* Acrobat Reader XI. I am not sure how Acrobat Reader got installed, but that was what was causing the error.
I clicked on Acrobat Reader XI and then "Uninstall".
No reboot required. The error went away once Acrobat Reader XI was gone.
I hope that this helps someone else.
