No home phone and no one can find my number
I came back from vacation only to find I had no phone service. i contacted Verizon's customer service who said I have no home phone with them. After further research i was told it was ported over to Cox but I didn't do it. They transferred me to tech support , who then transferred me to new account who said I needed customer service (again) that was experiencing waits of 10 mins (again). Finally hung up. Long story short, Verizon said it was ported over to Cox. Cox has no record. No one knows what happened to my number!

I recently purchased a shutter release remote for my IPAD camera but the cord is only three feet long and I need an extension cord. I purchased a 3 banded AV extension but it doesn't work. I have been told that I need an extension cord that has AV and Mic to enable the remote shutter release to work with the extension cord. Can anyone tell me what the correct extension cable is and where I can find one? Thanks.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I charged my phone and now I can't get it to turn on again. What do I do? I can't find a solution here. All I get are error messages.
Try pulling the battery for 10 minutes and putting it back in. Try pressing and holding the power button for a while 15-30 seconds to see if it will respond. Did anything happen to it, drop, submersion, etc. Was it functioning before you charged, When did it last work. Are you sure it charged up and the charger is working.

Where do you get your contacts from?
Do you use Outlook?
Have you made a back up of your iPhone on iTunes/iCloud when the contacts were on it?

I took a 15 minute video clip on my phone and now I can't import it into iphoto. I've been able to import clips to iphoto in the past. How do I fix this? How can I get it imported onto my MacBook and ultimately iMovie?
Maybe try one of the WiFi transfer Apps? There are several to choose from. I use Photosynch quite often to send photos and videos between my computer(s), my iPhone, and iPad.

No. If it isn't online, there is nothing you can do. You must have already activated Find My iPhone (iPad) on the device and it must have an active WiFi or cellular Internet connection to locate it.

I have an iphone 5. It has a "no sim" in upper left corner. I removed it, placed it back, restored the phone and now I can't get past the "activation" part. It's telling me to insert a SIM w/out a PIN lock. HELP!!!!!

I am not sure what i have to do i just wanted to delete some items off my phone and add on some old tunes. i normally have to just tick or untick but cannot find my music with phone plugged in howver can find hubbys music. we do share a library but i have never had this problem before. please help

My iphone wont connect to itunes on my macbook after I have already synced it. I am running the lastest itunes 10.4 and I have tried restarting both phone and mac. Can anyone suggest what I can do?
You will have to put your phone into recovery mode and restore the phone as new. Since you don't have a back up, you will lose all the data on your phone but you will be able to use it again.

Settings > General > Restrictions is where you enable a restrictions passcode.
A restrictions passcode prevents access to certain apps or services or features of an iOS device. For example, you can prevent the deleting of any apps, prohibit in-app purchases, etetera. You can restrict the use of Facetime, the Camera, Safari, etc.
