No horizontal scale bar!

I've upgraded to iTunes 9 and there is no horizontal bar to pan across to the price column. Hence I can't buy anything! I've tried moving the iTunes panel across to the left and dragging it across but it still won't reach the price column. Surely this is peculiar to iTunes 9? I've been using iTunes for years and have never had this problem. I have another mac at work with an earlier version and this is fine. Anyone help?

  • ADF DVT: Hide certain series of the Horizontal Stacked Bar

    Hello,
    I am trying to achieve a 'waterfall chart' effect by using the <dvt:horizontalBarGraph> of type BAR_HORIZ_STACK. I have really 3 series to show with different colors, but i also provided the 4th series to be the 'offset' value - which tells from which position on Y-axis the first colored bar should be shown. In another word, i created a horizontal stacked bar, with 4 series of data, but i want to hide the bar for 1st series, make it completely transparent.
    I tried to play with <dvt:series> attributes, but can't find 'visible' or 'transparent' or something like that. And i tried to make the background of the first bar to be the same as the chart background - but that won't give good result: First of all, i want to keep the gradient color effect of the bars, but there's no easy way to keep the background to have the same gradient color in the same areat; Second, due to the same reason i can't make a 3D bar to be transparent over a mono-colored background. Third, i want to see the vertical grid lines which connects to the scale values, so even if i make the bar with plain color with no 3D or gradient effect, i will make the background grid lines disconnected.
    Thank you very much for your help!
    Feng

    Achie,
    This is not an issue with the graph as such, but the data issue. Since the value of the data that is being displayed is huge and other datas are relatively very small to occupy the graph area (Ex : 60105 Vs 10).
    You may want to try implementing zoomListener and/or zoomScrollListener for the graph to zoom and see the small datas.

  • Help with code for inserting horizontal scroll bar in photo gallery in Business Catalyst site?

    Hi,
    I am using Business Catalyst and Dreamweaver to create a trial site.
    I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this request but anyway I have inserted a photo gallery module at the bottom of the sidebar in the homepage of my test site.
    Can anyone advise on whether jquery or any other code can be inserted into the page or module code that will replace the "next" hyperlink below the first 4 photos with a horizontal scroll bar at bottom of the gallery so users can just scroll through all 12 images ?
    Kind Regards, Matt.
    http://craftime-bs6.businesscatalyst.com/

    Alyssa,
    Have you tried putting this rule back as it was originally:
    /* Submenu that is showing with class designation MenuBarSubmenuVisible, we set left to auto so it comes onto the screen below its parent menu item */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul.MenuBarSubmenuVisible
        left: auto; /*was 9px*/
        color: #EF9CCF;
        background-color: #FFF;
    That is, changing your 9px back to auto.
    And giving  us a link (as you did) is much better than printing out the code for us! Thanks!

  • Horizontal shifting bars on MBP 15 after disconnecting 24" LED cinema display and waking up from clamshell mode.

    I use my MBP 15 (late 2011) with 24" Apple LED Cinema display in a clamshell mode. After disconnecting external display, and opening display, it shows horizontal shifted bars, so it becomes completely unusable. Have to hard reset laptop. Any hints on how to resolve this? Thanks.

    Ok, more information for anyone that might care. The wake-up seems to be the familiar dark wake in order to go into hibernate mode. Except now, it's a death wake. Looking at the logs, I see that it happens exactly 70 minutes after sleeping, even though hibernatemode = 0 (which shouldn't hibernate at all!)
    So my power settings look like this:
    Currently in use:
    standbydelay         4200
    standby              1
    halfdim              1
    hibernatefile        /var/vm/sleepimage
    darkwakes            0
    gpuswitch            2
    disksleep            10
    sleep                10
    autopoweroffdelay    14400
    hibernatemode        0
    autopoweroff         1
    ttyskeepawake        1
    displaysleep         2
    acwake               0
    lidwake              1
    standbymode is 70 minutes, what a coincidence. I'm going to try setting it to 0 and see what that does.

  • How to get the Horizontal Scroll Bar for a Table?

    Hi All,
    As per my requirement, I am displaying several records in a Screen in a Tabular Format. But here I have to show 21 Columns in that table which is too high. I am able to display it but due to it I am getting a Horizontal scroll bar for the whole screen since all the columns are not getting displayed in the normal window screen space. But its looking too odd since once I am scrolling it to right the columns are getting displayed but the above Header Bar and Global buttons are not displaying, they are bound to the normal screen space.
    Is there a way to have a Horizontal scroll bar only for that table instead of the entire screen so that on scrolling that bar only the table rows will beshifted ant got displayed?
    With Thanks
    Kumar Gautam

    try this approach.
    include a raw text item before and table item.
    include the appropriate HTML tags in raw text item to enable horizontal scroll

  • How do I view the Horizontal Scrolling bar and status bar at the bottom of the screen. I can only see the top menus, toolbars and vertical scroll bar?

    Before the most recent upgrade, the bottom horizontal scrolling bar and status bar appeared on my screen. Now since upgrading, I cannot see the. Anyone ideas how to restore them?

    If you haven't already, you could force-quit Quicktime by using the menu option from the desktop (finder) and choose Quicktime.
    Not sure what you have frozen on the screen, be it a failed movie, or some unusual screen shot. If you can find by date (created) you may be able to look for .mov or quicktime suffix name or other video file content to delete it.
    And you may have to restart your computer and perhaps run repair disk permissions from Disk Utility's first aid on the hard disk drive in your computer.
    Not sure if all that would help now, but it is something a few days late...!
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • How can I provide Horizontal tool bar at the bottom of the form?

    Hi Friends,
    I have form with 8 tab pages. I created a horizontal toolbar canvas with some navigational buttons. I want to put the horizontal toolbar at the bottom of the form which is common to all of my tab pages of that particular form.
    How can I do that?
    Thank You.
    Gopinath Kona

    Iam not very sure...but let me give it a try. As far as my knowledge goes, horizontal tool bar can be placed only the top side of the form.
    For your requirement, u can probably try out placing the buttons on a stacked canvas and display the same for every tab page in your form...

  • How do I create a horizontal nav-bar with CSS, set to an exact width?

    I have a problem that I need help with. All I need to do is
    to create a simple text-based horizontal navigation bar using CSS.
    I have seen many CSS tutorials online about how to make a
    horizontal navigation bar using unordered lists, but they all seem
    to either set the bar to be centred or to the full width of the
    page, or if they do set it to be a certain width, then the buttons
    within that width are centred within pre-defined widths for each
    one.
    Unfortunately none of these help me - let me explain my
    scenario...
    I have an area that is exactly 700px wide. In this area I
    want to put 5 text hyperlinks.
    I want the first text-link to be aligned to the left of my
    700px width, and I want the last text-link to be aligned to the
    right of the 700px width.
    I want the spaces between each of these text-links to all be
    the same.
    The only definite known width is the overall 700px. I will
    not know the width of each text-link, as (a) they are all live
    text, and (b) the phrases for each could change.
    I have mocked up a quick diagram showing in more detail
    precisely what I mean:
    http://www.nothowitlooks.com/temp/navbar.gif
    Can anyone please help me with this?
    Thanks.

    > Wrong, wrong, silly comment and wrong.
    >
    > To elaborate: firstly, with regards to design,
    everything can be done, it's
    >simply a matter of how.
    Only in your fantasy. In practice there are always some
    limits enforced
    by the used material or technology. You simply can't violate
    such basic
    rules and laws, even if you would like to.
    >Whether you use text, images, tables, CSS, or even
    >Flash, the objective is first to design the site with
    both your client's and
    >their customers needs and expectations, and then to build
    it, regardless of how
    >difficult-to-code that design may or may not be.
    It always looks good on paper, but not every design can be
    turned into
    practice. This not only applies to web design, but to almost
    every kind
    of development. Often enough you have to find compromises or
    workarounds
    if the engineers say "won't work". The problem is that many
    designers
    don't understand this or don't want to. They're just thinking
    and living
    in their perfect theoretical world, but have no idea of how
    things work
    in the real world. And many theoretical things simply don't
    work there.
    Each medium has its own rules and laws. Some things may work
    well for a
    printed paper for example, but not in the Web and vice versa.
    Of course
    you can try to break these rules, but you'll definitely fail.
    >You should not compromise your
    >design because of a lack of coding knowledge.
    It's not lack if coding knowledge if you refuse to try things
    that are
    impossible or don't make sense. It's quite the opposite,
    because you
    don't have to waste your time with something that won't work
    at all.
    >If you don't know how to do it
    >yourself, then find out how to do it (which is what I was
    *originally* trying
    >to do here, remember?).
    Quite easy. Surf the web, and if you see something like what
    you want,
    just have a look at the source code or post the URL here. If
    it can be
    done, then it already has been done. Just show us an example
    and we'll
    happily explain it to you.
    > Secondly, no, a client does NOT have to accept that
    "some things simply can't
    >be done or don't make any sense in the Web".
    Sure they have. The client is not always king. And if they
    insist on
    stupid things and always know it better - why the hell are
    they hiring
    you instead of doing it themselves? If they want their work
    to be done
    by an expert, they should also _listen_ to that expert and
    let him do
    his work properly instead of telling him how he should do it.
    That's not
    going to work.
    >Like I said earlier, some clients
    >are not interested in hearing about how what they want
    cannot be done, and any
    >attempts to tell them so only serve to convince them to
    take their work, and
    >their money, to someone else. Most clients, thankfully,
    are adaptable and
    >willing to reason. However, some are not, and if these
    clients take their money
    >elsewhere, you lose the job and you don't get paid. It's
    that simple.
    Let's say you want a little film to be made about whatever.
    Would you
    tell the director where he should position the cameras, the
    lights and
    all the stuff? He already knows _what_ you want to get, so
    why don't you
    just let him decide _how_ to do it? It's his job! And if he
    says that
    filming directly towards bright sunlight usually doesn't work
    well, you
    should respect his expert opinion.

    >here to get help with a coding problem. When people offer
    "alternative advice"
    >that hinders my progress in finding a solution, I tell
    them so. I give back
    >what I get.
    You asked for advice and you got proper answers. We really
    don't need
    people here just looking for the answers they want to hear.
    Often enough
    people are coming here looking for a cure to a particular
    problem, while
    it would be much easier to avoid that problem right from the
    beginning.
    Of course if they don't want to hear such alternatives -
    their problem.
    > Secondly, I was not aware that "regulars" to this site
    had any special
    >"insult-free privileges" or suchlike that newcomers did
    not.
    It's not the best idea to bite the hand that feeds you. It's
    the group's
    regulars who answer almost all of the questions here. And
    most of them
    also know how to use a killfile.
    >I don't care if
    >someone is a regular or a newcomer - when I ask a
    technical question and
    >instead of either potential advice or even silence, I
    instead receive
    >un-warranted "design advice", I'll make my opinions
    known.
    So do we. If someone wants something that's not possible or
    not going to
    work, we'll "make our opinions known". After all that's what
    a free
    discussion board/forum/group is for.
    > As for the "just leave" suggestion for supposedly
    "insulting regulars", I
    >could very well say the exact same thing to you, for the

    > Please either propose a solution to my original CSS
    problem or just leave.
    > There, how was that?
    Want to try again?
    With pure CSS and text links it can't be done within the
    given
    constraints. I even doubt that it's possible with a table. So
    either
    drop the fixed 700px width or the equal space between the
    buttons.
    > P.S: Seeing as though pedantry seems to be something
    you're interested in,
    >judging by the "rant" tag comment, I thought I'd point
    out that you spelled
    >Santa Clause wrong.
    You can keep the 'e'. In German we have more than enough of
    them.
    And if you would be familiar with web design, then you would
    have known
    where this ironic "error message" came from.
    Your turn.

  • Spry Horizontal Menu Bar not working in IE

    Hi! I am new to this forum and new to Dreamweaver. I recently used Dreamweaver to build a website to display my digital portfolio. I am not very good at this and don't understand much of this works. I inserted a spry horizontal menu bar for my navigation. I did change the original set up to have the background the colors I wanted and I also changed the size so it would go across the top of my page. This looks fine in Firefox and Safari but in Internet Explorer the bar displays vertically, which does not look good. Can anyone look at my code and tell me how I can fix this problem?
    I appreciate any help I can get with this as I have tried everything I know.

  • Horizontal Menu Bar Help Needed

    Hi there, I am somewhat new to web design but I've been helping a friend update his business's page recently.  We use Dreamweaver CS3 and our hosting is thru GoDaddy.
    My problem appears when I try to insert a horizontal menu bar (Insert>Spry>Menu bar) so that a dropdown menu will appear when I hover over an option, much like the top menu on the GoDaddy homepage, among others.  It works correctly when I preview my page in a browser from Dreamweaver, (Firefox, IE) but when I actually upload my page to the GoDaddy servers and view it, it shows up not as a bar with hidden options, but as a long unformatted vertical list.
    The site in question is here: http://www.notyouraveragebookkeeper.com/indextabs
    I thought it might be a problem with CSS, but I made sure that all of the style sheets are properly uploaded to the servers, and I made sure that my browser accepted any Javascript applets.  I've also tried it with my Dreamweaver CS5 trial.  Like I said, I am an amateur in every sense of the word and I'm still learning technical terms for things so some of my jargon may be a bit flawed.  I have done a good bit of online research in forums and otherwise, and I've tried solutions that have been given to similar problems. Maybe someone could view the source code and find out where I've gone wrong, or suggest tips to identify problems in Dreamweaver. I feel like the problem lies within the Spry framework, but I have very little knowledge on how it works or what it does.
    Any assistance in this regard would be extremely helpful and appreciated.

    Neither SpryMenuBar.js and SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css can be found by your online site.
    Possibly these have not been uploaded or uploaded to a wrong location.

  • How can I get Firefox 4 to correctly display CSS padding for a horizontal nav bar (works in most other browsers, incl. earlier FF)?

    I have just coded a horizontal nav bar for a site with CSS rollover effects using a:hover and a: focus effects. There are no images, just HTML and CSS. The layout works beautifully in IE 6 - 8, Safari for Windows, Opera for Windows...and Firefox 3.X but behaves poorly in Firefox 4. I've hardly ever had problems with FF before. :(
    Here's the menu: http://sddlr01.hottubretailer.com/TestNav2.html
    The rollovers extend below the height of the background div and the extra padding on the first and last li tag don't display correctly either. The page passes WebDeveloper toolbar CSS and HTML validation as well.
    This is making me batty! Any help deeply appreciated!
    Thanks.
    All CSS code is in the page for debugging purposes.

    I do not understand what you mean with "the rollover will extend the full width of the background"

  • Horizontal Scroll Bar

    I have this site that I'm practicing on called
    Massattack Studios,
    it's been a work in progress for a while experimenting with Flash
    and Dreamweaver 8.
    In internet explorer my scroll bar situation works fine, in
    Fire Fox the unwanted horizontal scroll bar appears. At least at
    the moment I'm not concerned with other browsers. Can anybody tell
    me how to get rid of that little guy?
    I'm looking at the Validator and it is very overwealming to
    me as a beginner with the code.
    Any help would be great, i can post anything you may need to
    figure it out, thank you very much!
    This is my main index page...
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Frameset//EN"
    http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-frameset.dtd">
    <html xmlns="
    http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <title>Massattack Studios</title>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
    charset=iso-8859-1" />
    </head>
    <frameset cols="*,650,*" border="0">
    <frame src="left.htm" name="left" marginwidth="0"
    marginheight="0" scrolling=no>
    <frameset rows="100,*,25" border="0">
    <frame src="head.htm" name="head" marginwidth="0"
    marginheight="0" scrolling=no noresize>
    <frame src="home.htm" name="MainFrame" scrolling="yes"
    noresize="noresize" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"
    id="MainFrame">
    <frame src="footer.htm" name="footer" marginwidth="0"
    marginheight="0" scrolling=no noresize>
    </frameset>
    <frame src="right.htm" name="right" marginwidth="0"
    marginheight="0" scrolling=no noresize>
    </frameset>
    <noframes><body>
    </body></noframes>
    </html>

    In the home.htm file that loads into your main frame, change
    the DOCTYPE.
    CHANGE:
    !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Frameset//EN"
    http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-frameset.dtd"
    TO THIS:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01
    Transitional//EN">BTW:
    "Bumbing" has no effect in the NNTP forums where most of the
    answers come
    from and it's just annoying to the web form user who are
    patiently waiting
    for a response.

  • My horizontal scroll bar went missing when I maximise the window. How do I fix them?

    My horizontal scroll bar went missing when I maximise the window. How do I fix them? I tried everything; such as auto hide the task bar. Even with this, I still can't see the horizontal scroll bar. I even tried the following and I still can't see the horizontal scroll bar.
    1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste dom and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the dom.disable_window_open_feature.scrollbars preference to switch it from false to true. By choosing true, you disable sites from deciding whether there can be scrollbars on a window, and Firefox uses its standard behavior for the page.
    If you want to always get other bars, here are the corresponding settings:
    Menu Bar: dom.disable_window_open_feature.menubar
    Navigation Toolbar: dom.disable_window_open_feature.toolbar
    Bookmarks Toolbar: dom.disable_window_open_feature.personalbar
    Please help.

    Can you post a screen shot?
    Taking a Screen shot; '''''Windows > Start >''''' search box '''''> Snipping Tool'''''.
    Save the picture(s) to your desktop. Now look at the '''Reply''' box below.
    Do you see the button under it that says '''Browse'''? Click it and then select
    the screen shot(s) from the desktop.

  • Horizontal menu bar mac to pc

    Recently created this page:   http://musicnotes.net/MNI/SPRY.html using Dreamweaver CS3 but it does not look the same in all browsers.
    It starts out with the table width set for 100% and then hard sets the
    column widths to force the complete heading to something like 1600 pixels
    wide.  The cell widths should be allowed to set themselves.
    In IE 6.0, and probably IE 7.0, the mouse over point to change colors is a
    narrow strip between the links.  Results in white flashes as you move down.
    In IE 8.0, which is now similar to FireFox, the mouseover color changes work
    okay but the secondary panels overlap the primary column.  It's workable but
    doesn't look quite right.
    Except for being forced super wide and too big, everything seems to work
    okay in Firefox.
    Does anyone know if these issues are resolved using CS4.

    Thanks Gramps, will take a look and get sorted!

    Subject: I am having problems with my spry horizontal menu bar defaulting to the top of page in IE
    The structure of your document needs fixing. You will be able to get a lot of information from here http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/css.html
    After you have fixed the structure start with a fresh copy of SpryMenuBar. Read this before making any changes http://www.dwcourse.com/dreamweaver/ten-commandments-spry-menubars.php#one

  • How to make the knob of a horizontal Scroll Bar stay at right

    Hi I need some advise to achieve this:
    I have a chart continuously deploying towards the right side (think on an electro cardiogram that is continuously feeding data). All the chart information is kept available inside a JScrollPane. What I want to achieve is:
    1. if the horizontal scroll bar knob is at the right end of the scroll bar make the end part of the chart be displayed continuously (view is scrolling to the right, the knob stays at the right end)
    2. if the user moves the knob left from the right end freeze the motion and just show the selected portion (meanwhile data keeps being fed and stored but not displayed)
    3. when the user decides to drag the knob again to the right end the behavior of point # 1 resumes.
    The basic swing structure I'm using for this is the following:
    public class Electro extends JPanel {
    public Electro() {
    JFrame f = new JFrame();
    JScrollPane sp = new JScrollPane(this);
    f.getContentPane().add(sp);
         f.pack();
         f.setVisible(true);
    I would highly appreciate any feedback from fellow members. Thank you.

    hi friend
    try this in ur code
    public class Electro extends JPanel {
    public Electro() {
    JFrame f = new JFrame();
    JScrollPane sp = new JScrollPane(this);
    sp.setVerticalScrollBarPolicy(ScrollPaneConstants.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS);
    sp.setHorizontalScrollBarPolicy(ScrollPaneConstants.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS);
    f.getContentPane().add(sp);
    f.pack();
    f.setVisible(true);
    i think it will be help full to you
