I have the older mac mini and it does not have icloud under system preference
what do I do?

If your Mac supports it, you need to update to OSX 10.8, if it doesn't, there isn't anything you can do.

How do I open PC iCloud apps in a different browser?

On my computer, if I go to Start > All Programs > iCloud, I have all of the iCloud apps listed there (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and I didn't even know these existed until I started randomly browsing through my files. When I click on one, it takes me to iCloud.com, but it takes me there on Internet Explorer. I don't use IE, but I don't see an option anywhere to open them up in a different browser. Does anyone know of an option to choose a custom Internet browser to open these apps?

Thanks for the reply. I tried to go there, but there's still no option to change what browser these apps open in. Am I missing something, or is there no way to do so? I want to use Google Chrome to open these apps, and I have already set Chrome as my default browser, but the apps still open in IE. Frustrating!

Last things first; there is no amount of money that can change your GPU so you can scratch that expense off the list. So you need a battery and a fan? Where do you live? USA? TS4050 iCloud on Safari will not open Reminders -- I've tried using other browsers, and all other iCloud apps are fine. Any ideas?

I've tried clearing cache, logging in and out, switching off iMac.
I'm using latest OS X and Safari versions.
The problem seems to have crept to my iOS devices, which now register non-sync'd versions of my reminders lists, and which will not update via iClou

Gawd, how have you managed not to update it?! The current version is Version 3.1.2 (4525.22)!
Small wonder it won't work with 10.4.11.
Have you ever used Software Updater to check whether there are any updates available for your Mac?
I would recommend that you download the latest version from here:

But please make sure that you download the version for Tiger and not for Leopard.
BUT before you do so, and before you install it, please go through the following routine:
Repairing permissions is an important part of regular maintenance, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two.

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

If all is OK, install the new Safari, and REBOOT, then repair permissions again.

Where is the iCloud app for iOS?!

Can anybody explain please how iCloud works as a replacement for Google Drive or Dropbox?! Despite being very au fait with everything Apple I still can't work out how it's meant to work - I'm using iOS 8 on all my devices and OS X Yosemite.
So, as an example, I have 5,000 photos and videos on my iPhone. I back them up to my Mac (iTunes) but would like to back them up to iCloud and set up folders and such like on iCloud and manually move them in to those folders (Family, Personal, Work, Holidays etc.). I see that on my Windows PC logging in to iCloud.com does give me a "drive" and I can set up folder and upload to them. But how do I see these folders on my iPhone?! It's as if there's an iCloud app missing, like there's a Dropbox or Google Drive app that I use.
Also, I have a different 7,000 photos in iPhoto on my Mac (OS X Yosemite). How do I get those pics in to the same sort of named folders I've described above that I've set up on iCloud.com?!
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Apple really seemed to have confused a lot of people with iCloud being a back up drive and a replacement for Dropbox etc.

no, there is no iCloud Drive app on iOS, but there is a "iCloud Drive Share Sheet", which developers have to implement to their apps. The only iOS app I could find, that is already using it, was Dropbox.
Regarding your photo questions. Apple is planning to introduce a new " iCloud Photo Managing Application" early next year (That's what they have presented during WWDC this year).

Late 2013 15" Macbook Pro - iCloud Apps become non-functional

Hi Everyone,
My new top of the range Macbook Pro has some issues... Here's the specs:
2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
1TB Flash Storage
Arrived on Tuesday last week. Obviously very excited etc...
Noticed after 30 minutes that all my iCloud apps failing (under my account).
All the following apps fail to open with a beachball timeout
iMessages
FaceTime
iCloud (via System Preferences)
Maps
TextEdit (won't show any existing iCloud documents
Airplay
However oddly enough Calendar works.
It's currently with Apple Engineering who are yet to reply.
Now the weird bit.... If a create a new login account under the macbook and utilise my wife's iCloud (apple id) everything works perfectly.....
Apple are now in the process of sending me out a new machine since they're considering this one Dead On Arrival..However I've now got a 3 to 4 week wait due to 16GB ram supply constraints.. :-(
I've reinstalled Mavericks 4 times now and the same issues come back within about 30 minutes.
Very frustrating to spend that much money and have a non-functional computer..
Anyone else experiencing these issues?

I can happily report now that the issue has been resolved.
Via the logs sent to Apple engineering the issue was found to be a conflict between iCloud contacts and Google contacts.
For some reason (a bug in Mavericks) even though I didn't tick the box for google contacts to come across to the MacBook, it turned itself (in Internet Accounts via sys pref) on when activating my mail (gmail).
I'll say it again. It turned the tick on internet accounts / gmail / contacts without me asking it to!
Also of note. If I had iCloud contacts turned off. After the 30 minutes iCloud contacts were also turned on. Very very weird behaviour!
The above meant that the Mac's contacts were syncing with iCloud and google. :-(
Why this issue affected all the other iCloud apps I'm not sure why. However it definitely did something! :-(
Resolution Path:
Go to Sys pref/internet accounts, select gmail and click the minus button. It prompts you if you want to delete from ALL associated machines. Click YES!
Only after confirming I wanted to do a remote delete of my iCloud internet accounts across ALL machines did the issue resolve itself.
It appears that iCloud and google contacts can't live (stay sync'd) together. Which of course was never my intention. I only wanted to use iCloud.
Doesn't explain why it failed internally but a resolution path was found :-)
The inbound replacement laptop has been cancelled accordingly.
My new MacBook is now running perfectly !!!
I hope the resolution path here posted may help others in the future if you encounter this issue!

One more questio: are the photos that are not syncing to your computer photos that were added to the camera roll before you turned on photo stream on your phone? If so, this is normal. Only photos added to the camera roll on your phone after turning on photo stream are uploaded to your photo stream, not photos added before turning it on.

ICloud apps Not Compatible with older versions if iWorks

CAUTION
If you haven't upgraded to the new version of iWorks that was released with Mavericks today, do NOT open any of your files in iCloud. If you do, you will no longer be able to open them with your older versions of the iWorks apps.
For example, Apple today released Pages version 5.0. The last version of Pages was 4.3 (released in Dec 2012). If you create a new document in Pages 4.3, save it to iCloud and then open it in iCloud using Safari, you will no longer be able to open the same document in Pages 4.3. When you try, you'll get an error that you need a newer version of Pages.
In other words, it's now imperative that you upgrade to the latest version of the iWorks apps that were released today as the earlier versions are NOT compatible with the iCloud apps.

I am having the same problem as the personal who asked the original question. I think they left out a bit of information. I am extremely frustrated. I just downloaded ios7. I want to utilize icloud. It has an email address for me which shows a gmail account instead of a hotmail account. It's incorrect, but icloud wants me to verify that account. It is not my Apple ID, but an incorrect variation of my Apple ID. iCloud is waiting for me to verify that account, which I cannot do because it does not exist in this or any other universe. I tried to delete the account from my iphone, but guess what? they want me to sign in with my incorrect email address and password to delete the account. How in the world do I get icloud to allow me to enter my apple id email address ? IAt looks like a terrible glitch and all I want to do is be able to use the Find My Phone feature. Help!!!! If you are going to use your iTunes account as you and your partners iCloud account then you need to go into each phone and change your settings. In messages, you need to change from iCloud to the phone number. Create a contact with your unformation and re-train Siri with your name. Let me know if this helps.

Click Photo Stream, look at upper on the right. u can see Open Folder. click there...

Only way to track it is if you had find my iphone installed and activated prior to losing your phone.
Then you can go to icloud.com to track it.
If you didn't do the above, then sorry nothing you can do to track it. Report it to your phone carrier.

The designer is usually someone who just handles the user interface portion of the code. The developer would handle core functionality. I assumed you were the developer and the designer was the designer. You are the client and your "designer" is the developer.
Ideally, you should create a business account so that you can add someone to your team. That is the way it is supposed to work. Otherwise, you will have to ask for the final source code so that you can build and submit the app yourself. You should always have the source code regardless. You should always perform the submission under your own account too. Otherwise, it is the developer's app, not yours.
Sharing accounts is against the Apple Developer agreement anyway. The App Store Gold Rush is over. Now it is mostly zombie apps and competing fraudsters. You don't want to give someone access to your iTunes account. You really don't want to give someone access to your bank account either.
The best solution would be to convert your account to a business account. You may be able to have the developer submit the app and then transfer it to you.
