No iCloud telephone support

I love Apple but the transition to iCloud from Mobileme is confusing bordering on terrible. When I called Apple for support I was told that all MobileMe questions neededto be submitted online and that apple phone support was not ‘involved’  with iCloud.  It sounded like a separate company and I knowthat’s not true but the poorly trained person on the phone made it sound that way. When I tried logging into this discussion to post it would not accept my 'main' apple ID that I use all the time to purchase.
Here is mysituation. A family of 4.  We have 3iphones (4S, 4, 3), iTouch, iPad, MBPro, iMac, AppleTv, MobileMe (5 emailaddresses) two apple ID’s(one used to purchase music from iTunes). I purchasedthe Family Pack years ago for MobileMe. One of the email accounts is the ‘main’account that controls the others.
How do I best setup the iphones, ipads computers for iCloud.
Also, can we all download music, apps etc., using the same Apple ID?

On a device that already has it set up, go to Settings>iCloud>Account>Keychain (at the bottom), tap the number shown then change it to the number you wish to use.

  • ICloud lock out telephone support number

Can't reset password because email locked out. Can't get telephone support. They disconnect me!

thanx, but didn;t i read somewhere among the miles of info i've had to wade thru, that you can't re-use the same password (or email acc?) within a year? and besides, even if i'm allowed to work the list you kindly recommend, i fear our dear, recalcitrant (and proud) iCloud's initially innocent mistake, due to the slightest 'misinformation', compounded profoundly by the subsequent ten or so ID resets i was bullied into believing to be 'the one sure cure' it was never going to be, and showed not the slightest interest in the old password it demands even when offered unto it. so i don't know
to be frank, i'm not at all confident it'll work, and the looming possibility of being locked-out, 'administrata non grata', not only a thoroughly hideous and abhorrent prospect to a dyed-in-the-wi-fied Mac lubber, man and boy, like myself, but an absolute shame on the erstwhile earnest and laudable, if by no means affordable, applaudable little Apple

  • ICloud Browser Support?

I am rather disappointed with Apple regarding browser use of iCloud on a PC.
The current System requirements for iCloud (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204230), lists these requirements for PC:
    Microsoft Windows 7 or later
    iCloud for Windows 4.0.2
    iTunes 12 or late
Internet Explorer 10 or later, Firefox 22 or later, or Google Chrome 28 or later (desktop mode only)
Looking at the browser listing in particular (note I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on this machine right now):
Internet Explorer 10 or later - I have IE Version 11.0.9699.17728 installed, but hate using IE for anything.
Firefox 22 or later - I do have Firefox Version 36.0.4 installed, but actually use Waterfox Version 36.0.4 (this is the 64-bit version using the same Mozilla base as Firefox, so the two update together.  Yes iCloud does work in Waterfox, even though it is not listed as supported.
Google Chrome 28 or later - I have Version 42.0.2311.90 m installed and it works with iCloud.
Note: I used to also have Safari (Version 5.x whatever) installed, but Apple discontinued support and updates for it (which was a shame) so I de-installed it.
My question to the community is regarding Waterfox.  Is anyone else using it with iCloud and are they experiencing any compatibility issues with it?
For information, I have just updated my iPad to IOS 6.3, turned on "Use iCloud" under the Control Panel, Numbers setting and tested editing one of my spreadsheets on both my iPad and under iCloud Numbers beta running under Waterfox, which (so far) all seems to work fine.  I used to get a dialog box saying that it was not fully compatible in my browser, but do not appear to get that now (and anyway, there was no information on what might not work correctly).
I also have the iCloud for Windows 4.0.2 installed, with "Use bookmarks with: Firefox" selected (which actually syncs with Waterfox as well as Firefox and appears to still be working, although I need to double check that again.
It would be nice if Apple could test and (if successful) officially list Waterfox as a supported browser for use with iCloud.

Well I spoke a little too soon, as on reopening my Waterfox browser and going back into iCloud, Numbers beta I received this popup:
but in spite of that, Numbers does appear to edit correctly (so far) and the changes are synced to my iPad.

  • Windows 7 is unsupported on Helix. Official answer from Lenovo telephone support.

I want to use my own Helix at work, where Win 7 is a corp standard (and Win 8 is strictly prohibited).
So, I bought Helix to downgrade to Windows 7.
Yesterday I requested OEM disks from Lenovo with Win 7. But today got answer from Lenovo telephone support - sorry, we don't support Win 7 on Helix, so will be no disks.
    1) Can it be a mistake of the call-center operator? Is Win 7 indeed unsupported?
FYI. According to Microsoft, buyers of Win 8 devices with OEM license have right to downgrade to Win 7.
But if Lenovo doesn't ship OEM Win 7 disks with Helix - it becomes impossible.
    2) Could you please suggest official licensing option, how an individual can buy Win 7 Pro (or Ultimate)?
    Concerns:
    - OEM Win 7 - I suppose, an individual cannot buy OEM Win-7 from the market and use it on own commodity computer - it's manufacturers' way only - for new or modified computers.
    - OLP - it's 5 licenses minimum. Expensive for 1 individual, you should be a legal entity.
    - Volume licensing - it's for Enterprises only.
So, I don't see any options, other than returning it to the shop or reselling (((
Folks who downgraded to Win 7, please suggest, how did you do it (except corporate volume licensing)?!
    TIA,
    Maxim
    Solved!

    Hello and welcome,
Here's what I think I know about downgrade rights:  MS will allow a downgrade from Win 8 Pro to Win 7.  The procedure is strange.  Use an existing, in-use Win 7 license key.  Activation will fail.  Call Microsoft and get an activation code.
    http://www.microsoft.com/OEM/en/licensing/sblicensing/Pages/downgrade_rights.aspx#fbid=UjB_-vNx85j
If you don't have install media you should be able to find a downloadable Win 7 install ISO.  Google "legal windows 7 download  notebook review".  Where you find an in-use key, I'm not sure.  At work perhaps.
At a quick glance, it looks like there are Helix Win 7 drivers in the support driver matrix.  ThinkVantage System Update is included, so you should be able to use that to pull down drivers and apps.  (I haven't tried this on a Helix).

  • No 90 day Motion telephone support in the UK

This website offers 90 days free telephone support to people in the USA and Canada. Foolishly I figured there would be something similar in the UK. However when I phoned Apple UK for support I was told there wasn't any and to email iTunes support because I had purchsed Motion through the App  Store.
Itunes customer service say they can't help other than to give me a refund which doesn't solve my problem (because I actually want Motion, I just also want it to work properly) and to contact the Developer. The Developer is Apple! So Apple say it's iTunes and iTunes say it's Apple.
So basically there is no 90 day phone or any other tech support for Motion in the UK and I think Apple should make this clear at point of purchase, and since it's saving them money, give us a discount.

Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy ; click the Firewall option ; at the bottom of the window, click on the lock -- you'll have to enter your password to unlock the pane.
[I have my firewall off -- but it's turned on in the following images]
    Click on Firewall Options
    Click on Automatically allow...
Click OK -- and lock up (click the lock icon again) before you close the preference pane.  In the image above you can see two threads starting with "Compressor" -- below, scrolled out of sight will be more including one for Motion and one for FCPX (if you have it, and maybe even if you don't have it.)
If you're using a computer at work or at a school and you don't have the password (or a user account password) get the sysadmin to open it up for you -- Motion is an Apple app and it's a trusted app; there should be no problems getting permission to allow access.
[I use a firewall in a router instead of on my computer -- this computer is not directly connected to the internet and I have several other computers on a local area network all sharing the one internet connection.]

  • RMBP, telephone support, 90 days or 1 year?

About This Mac->More Info...->Service, it says
Every Mac comes with a one-year limited warranty and up to 90 days complimentary telephone support
but if I click the Check my service and support coverage link, it says
    Telephone Technical Support: Active
Your product is eligible for complimentary telephone technical support during the first year.
Estimated Expiration Date: 25 June 2013
So, is it 90 days, or 1 year?

I will, but no need to buy it until the end of the first year. The only advantage is telephone support but I don't really need that as there is an Apple Store near me
Then why did you ask this question? Gees.
Because while I probably won't need it, it's useful to know it's available if I do

  • Will iCloud Drive support Spotlight comments? If so, will they be accessible and capable of being edited on an iPhone or iPad?

I like to remind myself of next actions for my files and folders on my Mac by using the Spotlight comments in OS X. I noticed iCloud Drive is going to support "Tags" in OS X Yosemite.
Question: Will iCloud Drive support Spotlight comments (in addition to Tags)? And, if so, will I be able to access and manipulate those Spotlight comments on my iPhone or iPad?

If you really want to import as a WAV file, go to Edit > Preferences > General > Import Settings, and set "Import Using" to "WAV Encoder," as shown below.   Then rip the CD.

  • Telephone Support w/Creat

Does anyone have the phone number to get the free telephone support that is supposed to be available within the first 60 days of the purchase of a webcam?

Did you check through the whole menu content at the left hand side panel. There's a sub-menu called 'Customer Support Services Centers'. That's where the support contacts are.

  • Telephone support available?

As a private computer tutor, I regularly get asked to help back up and update iPads.  Some of the tasks I can perform, but then there are others whereby I would value telephone support.  So I'm looking for a service that offers 'personal' support, and not product specific support.  A service where it's me that is covered, irrespective of who owns the device.  Are you aware of such a service?
    Thanks

I called once with a Logic Pro "how to question" and I was promptly set straight that they did not answer those types of questions. When I asked what type of questions they would help with I heard double talk. Oh well, thank goodness for this forum and thanks to Apple sponsoring this forum.

  • Does icloud email support the DMARC standard?

    Hello,
Does icloud email support the DMARC standard?  Some of the emails that come into my icloud.com should an unknown dmarc status in the headers.  For example:
    pass=?; dmarc-policy=(noPolicy); s=; d=
is contained in the header of some emails.   I send the same email to a gmail account and it shows dmarc setup properly.  Are their special rules for icloud for DMARC?
    Thanks,

If I'm not mistaken, GMail is more robust in allowing you control over whether you automatically reply using the address to which a message was sent, to avoid inadvertently revealing your real or main address when dealing with mail from aliases, unless iCloud does that by default (I've only used this type of feature through GMail but was tending to my old Mac.com address and ran across your post...).

  • UK telephone support number moderator

What is the UK telephone support number. In the support page it says
    United Kingdom +353 4333200
What is that supposed to mean, what country is the support in, what is the dialling code from the UK ?

Thanks Jason, found out for myself. It's an Irish number.
It's very, very, very creepy of Creative to make people pay for an international phone call for support. It's very, very slimy not to say what country it's in and even slimier still to try and disguise it by not providing the international dialling code for each country.
The shop has a freephone UK number strangely enough.
    Corporate scum.
I just got an email from tech support with a link to a site with a Cubase SX tutorial as the answer.
    Completely creeped out.

  • Is telephone support available for iCloud?

I'm trying to get some information and help with iCloud.  I feel I'd get further along more quickly if I could actually speak to someone.  I'm happy to pay the $20/yr for the low-end storage if it includes phone support.  Does anyone know if it does?

    Jim-
How does your friend get access to the internet now?  Is cell phone service available?  These things are best determined by someone who is there.
Does the 3G iPad use a SIM card?  if it does, she may be able to obtain service with a local provider if there is one.
If there is internet access, connecting a WiFi router to it should be fairly easy.
