Uploaded Blackberry App World 2.1.1.2 on my Tour v4.7.1.40 but can't see the icon and open App World

Hiya!
in your main menu, press the menu key, then select "show all"
then look into your folders (most likely 'downloads').
Is it there at all?

    Heyy so the only downside i have found with my Z10 is that it doesnt have all the popular apps from android and Apple. I would love it if there was anyway to get some more apps on blackberry app world. Personally i would love Despicible Me: Minion Rush such a great game wish i had a phone that could play it.

    But for a very few apps, BlackBerry doesn't actually "pull" apps from the developer community. Rather, the developers must decide the specific BB model numbers / OS level combinations that they will support, and write their app to those that they choose. There are many combinations of that, so most developers don't choose to support all of them.
    With BB10, it's even more complicated because it's not a simply evolution from the legacy BBOS. So, app developers must completely start over and re-write their app from scratch to support BB10 devices and OS levels.
    In any event, the best place to put pressure for apps you desire is with the actual developer of the apps...for it is they who must make their choice if they will support your platform, and then "push" their app out for it.

  • Blackberry App World Update

    Hi, all,
    An update for Blackberry App World has just been released.  The new version is 1.1.0.35.  It can be downloaded directly from Blackberry at their website from your Blackberry device.  I'm not sure of what exactly has been updated, but hopefully, it will run a little smoother for some folks who had problems with it in the past.  If you have never used Blackberry App World, it is chocked full of applications for your device, many free for download.  Check it out if you are looking for a particular app.

    Where exactly are we finding this application after we upgrade? I clicked upgrade YESTERDAY. Since then I have rebooted my blackberry 3 times, and blackberry app world is no where to be find. I unhide all my icons, it is not in the download folder. If I hit the application central icon it is there, but I cannot access it, it says, "downgrade" under blackberry app world.

    I have a Torch 9800 and I have downloaded App World and Messenger but they do not appear anywhere on the phone.  I can see them in my applications list, but no icon and not visible on the home screen.
    How do I get these to work?

    If you are having trouble locating BlackBerry World as well as BlackBerry Messenger , then :
    For BlackBerry App World :
    If you device OS is prior to 6.0.0.706 then try Updating your device software or Download BlackBerry World version 4.0.0.55 which is the best workaround now available for BlackBerry  World also uninstall BlackBerry world from Options > Device > Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry  World , then perform another Battery pull restart .
    Then From your BlackBerry Browser browse to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3 to download version 4.0.0.55 . In addition check this Knowledge Base for further help :
    KB29422  BlackBerry App World icon is missing after upgrading to BlackBerry App World 4.0.0.63 to 4.0.0.65.
    For BBM  :
    On your Homescreen Go to Options > Device Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting do a Battery Pull Restart like this device POWERED ON remove the battery wait a min. then re-insert it back . After reboot from your BlackBerry Browser browse or Click here www.blackberry.com/bbm and download  the most recent available for your device  . If device prompt for a restart do it .If still unable to view BBM icon on your Homescreen check this Knowledge Base :
    KB23968 BlackBerry Messenger icon disappears from the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone.
    Please try those steps and let us know also perform a Battery pull restart after each install.
    Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.

  • BlackBerry App World requires that your device radio is turned on to continue.

    I no longer have a service provider for my Blackberry.  But I want to use it for listenting to Audio Books.  Can I still do this without internet service on the phone itself?
    Initially it appeared as though I could, so long as I had it connected to my computer which was connected to the internet.  Initially, System Check told me that the AppWorld Browser plug-in was installed on the computer, and also that the device was connected to the computer.  It then locked up when trying to load the latest version of AppWorld on the Smartphone.  I've rebooted both since and now it tells me that I need the radio on to perform this task.  ANy ideas?

  • Re-buying apps in BlackBerry App World

    I don't understand BlackBerry App World.
    If I buy an app, and re-download it weeks\months later, surely I don't have to pay again, right?
    I've re-downloaded 'Six Tools' a few times now, after reloading my device, or switching to a difference BlackBerry, BUT, always using the SAME email account for BlackBerry App World, yet each time it wants me to pay again. After paying $2.99 three times over, something has got to give.

    Hello naviwilliams,
    This is not normal rule for App World. 
    When you use the same BlackBerry ID and purchase an application you shouldn't be prompted to purchase the same application each time.  KB17625 will elaborate on the transfer or reinstallation of apps.
    I would recommend you contact the vendor of this application (KB27706 to locate vendor support) to investigate this issue further.

  • Cannot access blackberry app world from icon

    i have the unlimted package which allows me access to blackberry app world, however, when i go to the icon i keep getting an error message saying blackberry app world is having trouble connecting to the server and verify network connections.
    my service carrier suggested deleting the icon and reinstall it, but when i try to do that, i get a message saying blackberry app world has already been scheduled for deletion and deletion will occor when handheld is restarted. but when i do restart, it is still there.
    please help.

    Try this, might help...
    Do a battery pull restart....take out the battery when ur BB is ON...keep it that way for 1-2 mins n then reinsert the battey n let ur BB start...

    I had to re-download blackberry app world application as it was deleted after trying to download new version. I have it installed but it is not set as an icon.   • Blackberry app world icon disappeare​d

    Can anyone please help!!
    upgraded my bb app world to find out the icon disappeared from my menu
    its not hidden, its in the application page but it wont let me open it!
    i have tried everything: deleting, re installing, re booting, taking the battery out, 
    think i have rebooted by phone about 10 times by now and it still won't come up on the main menu
    how do i get bb app world icon back to the main menu????

  • Blackberry app world icon disappeared

    Hi anyone could help, I have tried to upgrade my Blackberry app world and the icon just disappeared and tried to open menu to show all hidden icon nothing help. I also tried to re-download the icon but nothing shows on the home screen, please help on that. Thank you.

    Under Options>Device>Application Management, do you see App World installed? If so, delete it and ensure you reboot.
    On your browser go to www.blackberry.com/appworld to reinstall it. If you get a prompt to reboot, ensure you do so.
    Check to ensure your icon now appears.

  • Blackberry app world for bb 8700v

    I am not able to download bb app world on my 8700v as whenever I try to access the download page from browser on the phone, it says it does not fulfill system requirement. Blackberry desktop manager doesn't detect the phone when I connect phone via USB. Any ideas/suggestions?

  • Movela netflix queue manager not available for download from blackberry app world

    I got a message for an upgrade available for this app, every time I try to run the upgrade it gives me "movela netflix queue manager not available for download from blackberry app world" message. I deleted appworld reinstalled it twice have the same issue. I had this problem before with another app when I deleted the app to reinstall it I had to pay for it again.     When you purchase an application in BlackBerry App World, you should be able to delete it and reinstall it without having to repurchase it.
    When you reinstall App World to refresh your purchases:
    Open BlackBerry App World.
    Click the Menu key, and then click
    My World
    Enter in your BlackBerry ID email and password, then click Login
    The application list will refresh automatically
    For each application that needs to be reinstalled, select it under the Uninstalled section and click
    Reinstall.
