No icon for sending streams to vu+

I have installed the appendix "Send to vu+" and Frefox has confirmed the installation, but I cannot see any icon anywhere to click upon to send something to my vu+ receiver.

The first link brings me to the page with the Add-on. It wants me to download Firefox first, which has been done long ago. It also says "Download anyway" When I click this the computer says that it cannot open an xpi-file.
With the second link I have extracted the rar-file to an xpi-file and opend it rightclicking with firefox. Clicking the add-on it says that the add-on has been downloaded correctly, but is has not. One time i succeeded somehow in getting a screen asking me for the IP address of the vu+. On the vu+duo2 I find an IP addres saying 10.0.0.19 which is close to the address of the router, and another IP addres saying 127.0.0.1, but the only buttons are one saying deactivate and one saying delete.
When trying to run netflix I do not find anything to click on to send to vu+.

Which menu are you referring to? A menu in a specific app, the iOS Share menu?

Please press Menu (BB Sign) you will get all icons > now again press Menu (BB Sign) and click on show all icons > now see whether SMS icon is available or not. If it is showing then select that particular icon and press menu and click on unhide icon or unchecked hide icon.

It won't affect any photos in photo stream but any photos within the back up itself will go.

Hi, I am a new user to iMac and have now bought just about every Mac product you can think of and have just taken delivery of an Apple TV and now want to stream photos but don't know how to transfer photos from my picture files over into my iPhotos for Photo Streaming. Is there an easy way? I have Mac for Dummies but they don't mention it there!! Guess it's too dummy for them!!! You need to connect the Apple TV and the computer to the same network and then turn on "Home Sharing" in iTunes. Check boxes allow you to select what you want to share.
You'll see a "Computer" icon on the Apple TV and it holds all your music, movies and photos.

2 questions--I've tried the cookies/cache thing but when I try to register a site, it still says I have a problem with my cache and cookies setting, and my icons for tools, etc has disappeared from my tool bar, how do I get them back?

I did the self help to set private settings, delete cookies and no tracking of my visited website, and delete history...but when I try to register on a site to send them emails (comments) i keep getting sent back to an error page that my cache/cookie settings are not right!!! and then the icons for my "tools", etc that were on the upper right of my toolbar have disappeared and I want them back...where did they go and I can't find any help on the help menus to solve any of these issues..it's aggravating.

Writing a conference server for RTP streams

I'm trying to write a conference server which accepts multiple RTP streams (one for each participant), creates a mixed RTP stream of all other participants and sends that stream back to each participant.
For 2 participants, I was able to correctly receive and send the stream of the other participant to each party.
For 3 participants, creating the merging data source does not seem to work - i.e. no data is received by the participants.
I tried creating a cloneable data sources instead, thinking that this may be the root cause, but when creating cloneable data sources from incoming RTP sources, I am unable to get the Processor into Configured state, it seems to deadlock. Here's the code outline :

I was able to get past the cloning issue by following the Clone.java example to the letter :)
Turns out that the cloneable data source must be added as a send stream first, and then the clonet data source. Now for each party in the call the conf. server does the following :

For 3 participants, my conf. server creates 2 send streams to every one of them, so I'd expect 2 SSRCs on the wire. Examining the RTP packets in Ethereal, I only see 1 SSRC, as if the 2nd createSendStream call failed. Consequently, each participany in the conference is able to receive voice from only 1 other participant, even though I create RTPManager instance for each participany, and add 2 send streams.
Any ideas ?

If you last used an Apple TV to mirror your device and have updated to the newest Apple TV software, go into settings and turn airplay back on. The icon should then appear on your iPad mini when you swipe up allowing you to disable it for Netflix. After updating my Apple TV software for some reason it turned airplay off.

HD or SD Camera for web streaming application

Looking to buy a couple of cameras (and FCE) purely for creating video for web streaming.
Given the video will be highly compressed for streaming, is there any benefit in going HD over SD?

CosmoPod downloads the original file format (which can be retained), then converts to either MPEG4 or H264 (Best or Better). The file conversion is dependent on your Preference settings.
For functional purposes, CosmoPod places a Tool Icon on your Toolbar. Plus, the download/preference panel can be accessed via the Window menu. Videos can be directed to a Download location, or directly to iTunes.
Whether or not a file can be downloaded depends on file accessibility permissions on the provider's end. Trial version gives you 5 days/10 videos, which ought to give you a sense of whether it serves your purposes.

Sounds like a question for a Windows 7 support forum. I don't use Win7, but in WinXP if you right-click a desktop icon and open Properties, there is a button for '''Change Icon'''. As finitarry alluded to, you will need to come up with your own icon file of the correct size. Keep in mind that Nightly updates frequently, actually it updates '''''nightly''''', and you may find that you need to replace that icon every day. ''Speculation on my part, I have never wasted my time replacing a desktop shortcut icon for a program that updated frequently. And if you spent any time searching for how to do that specifically for Firefox, anything you might have found about fiddling Firefox program files or the Firefox Profile folder hasn't worked since the Firefox 3.0 version.''

Removing email sugesstion for sending photos

Hi,
I'm posting this because I'm nearly going nuts every time I send a captured photo by using my N86's built in photo sending option (I view the image and in the toolbar select Send with the envelope icon).
I choose to send my photo by email, and when I get to entering the email adress, I get 2 suggestions for email adresses - my old email adress and my new one. This is annoying because I quite often by accident pick the old email adress (the adresses are almost the same) from the list and can't understand why I don't receive my photo, until I check and find out I sent it to the wrong adress
Is there some way to remove these suggestions? And how?

The email adress isn't for a contact - I have just typed it in when I wanted to send a photo to my email adress.
The thing is, I get 2 suggestions when I start typing my email adress when I want to send a photo. One suggestion is for my current adress, the other suggestion for my former, which I don't use anymore.
The adress I use now is the one I use for my mail box on the phone. The other (the old adress) has never been used on the phone besides when I have been sending photos by viewing the image in Photos and then selecting Send (the envelope icon) and send Via e-mail.

Globally setting icon for a file type

I've been using LilyPond a lot recently. The .ly files it saves don't have their own icon, though, they just get the generic document icon. I know that I can manually set an icon for a single file using 'Get Info', but it's not practical now because I have so many .ly files. Is there a way I can tell OS X to use my own icon every time it sees a .ly file?

Hi, Stephen.
If by LilyPond you mean this application, it's the application's responsibility to assign the custom icon for files it creates, e.g. .ly files you edit and save in LilyPond. You might want to send feedback concerning this to the developers. However, as I understand the application based on a quick review of its manual, it can work with any plain-text (ASCII) file.
You can change the default application in which all .ly files open by using the instructions in "Mac OS X 10.4 Help: Changing the application that opens a document." That may result in those files bearing the same icon as the LilyPond application. That is also the mechanism by which a given icon is assigned to all files of a given type.

I didn't know it, but I found in iTunes popup, not only you can adjust the volume of each unit too!

This facility is on Safari Mountain Lion SW, but is it on iOS 6.01 or 5.1.1 as in my iPad ?
