It may help to force close all open apps, then reset your iPhone.

If you're still not seeing any images in Maps, the next step would be to reinstall iOS on your device by placing it in Recovery Mode, then choosing Update in iTunes.
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

If you want to restore to it's original condition, use recovery disks or Hdd recovery image (Pressing F8 on startup). If you didn't burn and hdd recovery image gone, you can order from Toshiba for money or get windows copy for installation (all the drivers you can find on Toshiba driver page)

I agree with xaver. The Toshiba recovery disk cant be downloaded. You have to create it yourself as you can read in your user manual. This tool is preinstalled on your notebook.
If the original OS is still installed it should be no problem to create this disk.
Can you find recovery media creator and create the recovery disks?

Clicking on thumbnail in iPhoto does not open image for editing/viewing.

Clicking on images in iPhoto 7 does not open large images for editing or viewing. No ? or ! shows, just blank white screen with all buttons active as if the image is ready for editing. iPhoto library is about 50GB. What I've tried: created new library and imported 20 photos, rebuilt library w/keys using last 3 items in list, rebuilt library using iPhoto Library Manager. Quit everything, repaired permissions via Disk Utility. Nothing has worked. Was working fine a few days ago with same camera, same settings, etc. Utterly baffling, would love other suggestions?

I have "Load Images Automatically" disabled. How can I load images for ONLY the page I am currently viewing?

I have intentionally disabled "Load Images Automatically" so that it is easier to view my desktop remotely via VNC or Remote Desktop. Animations and other graphics kill the performance of these remote viewing apps. However, when I reach a desired web page (the one I really intend to read in full), I want to load all the images ***for that page only***.

I don't think Firefox has that features. It views loading images as a permissions issues toggled on a site-by-site basis rather than a performance issue toggled on a page-by-page basis.
Maybe an add-on would give you a better balance of features? These two popped up in a quick search:

Performance advice required - creating images for a scrolling list view on Android

This is a question about how best to manage thumbnail images in an list view style app written in Actionscript 3 for Android.
I am building an app that uses a list view control to show lists of data. As each list item appears on screen during a scroll through the list I create a thumbnail image to display in the list item cell.
Currently I am embedding the jpg thumbnails in actionscript and using mx.core.bitmapasset to get bitmaps on the fly. On a live device this is unfortunately slowing things down - the smooth scrolling list jerks every time a new cell appears on screen.
There are probably going to be 500+ thumbnails but a list will only ever have about 150 items in it at any one time, of which only about 6 or 7 are onscreen at the same time. The list view control is one that I have created myself in actionscript but I am pretty sure the thumbnail creation is the cause of the slowdown. If I take out thumbnails the scrolling is smooth. If I reuse the same thumbnail across all cells then scrolling is smooth too. The component reuses cells as they disappear off one end of the list so there isn't much creation of objects going on.
I am running this in debug so it might be possible that in release things are better (maybe?).
Does anyone have any advice on how best to approach this problem of getting jpg assets available quickly?

You need to create an instance of ContentCache and set the contentLoader property of your Bitmap object to this instance. You can control the number of cachedEntries by setting maxCacheEntries. The tutorial by Mihai Corlan http://corlan.org/?p=3106 shows how you can use it. I hope you find it useful.

Drag the clip from your Event to your Project. Then use the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool on the Middle Toolbar to rotate it

How to show one album art image for a compilation album in cover flow view?

I just finished getting album art for my entire music collection. Now I go to the Cover Flow view or the Album view and individual songs in compilation albums each have their own album art instead of being grouped together under the same album art. For instance I have a "Buddha Bar" Album with various artists. Instead of having one image for the album, each artist has his or her own image (all the same Buddha Bar album art). So a compilation CD with various artists ends up having 15 images instead of one image in the Album art or Cover Flow view which makes it harder to look through my albums. Does anybody know if it is possible to change this?

iTunes doesn't have the ability to do what you want, i.e. to define multiple separated values in a field and then have the item show up when looking at a selection based on each of those values. "Bob Dylan", "The Band" and "Bob Dylan & The Band" are three distinct values that can't be linked together. Sort values can change where in a list things are displayed but shouldn't be used to attempt to merge different values as results are undefined and unpredictable.

Jpeg compression for tiff image (nt gettin a view of jpeg compressd pages)

I have a problem of jpeg compression inside a tiff file. When I convert no. of pages in a multi-page tiff file I m not getting a view of jpeg compressed pages. I convert black and white as well as gray scale jpeg images inside the tiff file. I used Compression Group4 for black and white image and JPEG compression for gray scale image. Also set the dpi of each page. But most of the viewer doesnt support my jpeg compressed pages. When I set the quality of jpeg images to 0.1f that time I m getting a view of particular images for some image viewer.
My requirement is to show the jpeg compressed image inside the IMAGING PREVIEW 2.5 VERSION. But it doesnt support for my output tiff. As well as cant get properties of that page inside the Fax viewer except Resolution 200x200 dpi.
     If anybody has any idea to compressed jpeg image inside the tiff file, please tell me how I can compress the gray scale image using jpeg compression.

or you can make all column primary key .Anybody seriously considering that as a good idea should understand the implications:
1. this requires that each row be unique - that's a minor issue normally, but can be a significant problem in some cases
2. in practically all databases, a primary key constraint creates a unique index - this has many implications:
a) in most databases, the index stores a copy of the column data that is indexed - this suggestion therefore more than doubles the data storage required for the data
b) whenever an indexed column is changed, the index has to be maintained - this suggestion then more than doubles the work that each UPDATE statement has to do, since both the table and the index have to be maintained for any UPDATE at all
This might work OK for toy projects, but it doesn't scale well at all...

I may understand your point wrong but if you turn on GPS on the 6D, your client can view your photo location easily. Site like Flickr supports GPS (if you don't remove it) or software like Picasa, Geotag, Geosetter, Lightroom, etc.

How to pixelate an image for viewing from afar?

Hi
I need to pixelate an image for an outdoor poster site, so that when viewed up close it is very distorted and all the viewer can really make out are large squares; as the viewer moves away the image becomes clearer, so that from a distance the actual subject matter becomes clear. Something like the Marilyn Monroe artwork attached...
I would appreciate any step by step advice on how I might do this?

Do you mean by this that you don't want to use a GPRS connection so that assisted GPS feature will not work, as provided internal GPS is enabled it will still lock onto satellites albeit more slowly unless outside?
If you have access to a WLAN this can always be the chosen access point if you want.
If you have downloaded regional maps you can use the "*" and "#" keys to zoom in/out and the cursor to traverse maps.

Keep Map Image For Remote Reference

Maybe I'm the last to realize this, but if you don't have a 3G iPad, but want a way to keep a map image for reference later, perhaps while driving where you might not have Internet access, try this:
Before you go, and while your iPad has Internet access, call up one or more map images of the area you are interested in at a good magnification and while holding down the HOME key, momentarily click the SLEEP button. This will cause a snapshot of your iPad screen to be saved permanently in your photo storage area.
Later, while driving, when you need to get your bearings again, simply turn your iPad on and review the previously saved images.

Good idea. Even if you have 3G, you can do this for the entire route and save download data.
...and if traveling, there are apps that show rest areas....
