No images in preview mode.

For no apart reason, this one time when I was editing my website for the first time that day, the preview mode no longer shows images, backgrounds or text in the correct don't. This however does all work correctly in design and in browser after exporting. Any ideas as to what's happened and how to fix it?

Hi
is it possible to attach few screenshot showing the muse preview, that will help.
Thanks

  • Bad quality of images in preview mode

    Hello,
we have the problems after our project migrating from .NET Framework 1 (Visual Studio 2003) to .NET Framework 4.0 (VS 2010 and SAP Crystal Reports).
Report layouts contain Blob fields for images.
The problem is the quality of these images makes worse in comparison with reports generated by old project.
I tried to find the solution but I didn't. We can't use pictures or OLE objects instead of these fields because the list of images is created dynamically. Fields in report have less resolution than original images size, so CR compresses them.
    Thanks a lot,
    Nadiia

I don't have any other ideas. It may be worth considering creating a phone case here:

and get this investigated in more details and perhaps reported for a fix.

  • Images are not loading - but work in Preview mode

    Hi -
I was wondering if anyone can help me.  I'm kind of new to Dreamweaver and I can't seem to figure this out on my own.
I'm using Dreamweaver 8.  I developed a web page based on a template in which everything works perfectly in "Preview" mode on all browsers.  But when I uploaded the files to my remote hosting, the template based images (found in the "images" folder) are not loading on the page. The images that I added to the template myself, found in the same "images" folder ($200,000 in ..., and picture at bottom) are loading.  So some of the images in the images folder are loading some are not.
I've checked the Images folder on the remote site, and they all seem to be there.  I've also checked for broken links, and I'm not getting any (I don't know if that would help w/ missing images or not, but I'm trying everything I can think of).  I also checked to see if there is a separate CSS style sheet, and there wasn't one supplied with the template (there is some CSS info in the code on the html page).  The image sizes are all small enough as well.  Can anyone help me with this?
You can view one of the pages at: http://www.200kin5months.com/squeeze-video.html
Thank you in advance to anyone who might be able to help!
    Stacey
PS - I've attached a screenshot from Dreamweaver Preview to show what it is supposed to look like.

Your Web server is running on an operating system that is case-sensitive. You appear to have uploaded an Images folder, but not an images folder.
You do not have a file here:
    images/squeeze-video_425x344_r9_c6.jpg
But you do have a file here:
    Images/squeeze-video_425x344_r9_c6.jpg
So you'll need to either change all your image/<whatever> links to point to Images/<whatever>, or upload another folder named images.
Or, if you want to use a single folder, and if your local file system is not case-sensitive, you might be able to do it in DW's file panel. Here is a method that you might use to have all of them in a folder named images.
    BACK UP YOUR SITE FILES
Rename Images to Foo (allow DW to update links)
Rename Foo to images (allow DW to update links)
Upload the images folder and any/all files that DW changed
    Delete the online Images folder

  • Pixelated images when in preview mode on iMovie, but when I pause it the images become clear. How do I fix this?

I just bought the latest version of iMovie and I am on 10.9.4. I transferred my slideshow from the old iMovie to the new one and almost all the pictures become pixelated when in preview mode. Yet when I pause it, the picture becomes clear. What do I do? It's driving me insane!

After more attemps at cropping Im noticing that the saved version is unzoomed, so if I move the zoom bar just a tad the image becomes instantly sharp. But sadly that doesnt help me because iphoto will only let me save it and post it online as the unsharp pixulated version. Can anyone please help me!

  • Gif file won't animate in Muse's preview mode or in Muse's view in browser mode

Created a gif file with Photoshop that's 7.5MB in size.  Placed the gif  file on a Muse page.  But, the gif won't animate in Muse's preview mode or when Muse sends the page to be viewed in browser mode.  I'm using a Mac running OS X 10.9.2 and I'm a creative cloud member using Muse.  Any solutions?

Step one to enable the community to help debug what you're encountering would be to provide the URL for the page where the GIF is being used. My first guess would be there are effects applied to the image (i.e. inner glow, bevel, etc.) that require Muse to re-encode the image and Muse does not support encoding animated .gif. It only supports passing animated .gif files through unchanged. (And to get an image to pass through unchanged it needs to have no effects that require rasterization applied in Muse.)
Given you've stated the GIF file is 7.5Mb I have to question your choice of .gif. At 7.5Mb this single file will take ~8 seconds to download on the average US broadband connection and will be much slower for many broadband users and most cellular users. GIF is a reasonable choice for very small short animations used sparingly, but is seldom (if ever) a good choice for larger or longer animations. Better choices for those are to use a video or a tool like Edge Animate to create a HTML5/CSS3 animation. The end result will be vastly more user friendly in terms of page load performance.
A huge percentage of first time visitors to a webpage will cancel the page load rather than waiting 8+ seconds for the page load to complete.

  • How to export photos with editing from preview mode to hard drive and external hard drive?

I have applied changes to the photos in the preview mode. Unfortunately, I can't export them from preview mode to hard drive and external drives. Whenever the external drive is plugged, the changes I made are not applied to the photos on the both hard drives.

Sorry what do you mean Preview Mode? There is no Preview mode or module in LR. There is a Library and Develop module in LR. The Library module does have the ability to do some adjustments and the Develop module has all the image adjustments.
In any event to export an image you can either right click on it and select Export or when in the Library module you click the button that says Export.

  • RAW image and preview dramatically different

I'm using Aperture 2.1 and am recently finding myself extremely unsatisfied with the rendering of my RAW images created with my Nikon D50.
I am shooting in just RAW (NEF) and sRGB, and am exposing for what I am seeing on the back of my camera. At times I use manual, and others I use the Program setting with a -1.3 exposure compensation since the camera leans too bright; I seem to recall everything exposing correctly until recently. But my memory is shoddy when it comes to how things previously appeared.
The preview before importing shows much the same image that I intended (exposure-wise), as does the quick preview for a second or so during the import process. Shortly after, my pictures all become dull and dark, lacking color and appearing about 2 stops underexposed.
I love photography, but am personally baffled by the issue of color profiles, RAW images JPEG previews, and all that jazz. Nothing seems to explain these adequately, which is why I'm reaching out to those more knowledgeable than me. I am unsure if it's my camera, Aperture, color spaces, or just settings within Aperture or my camera.
Once again, I want to say this is a recent problem, but it may just be that I only noticed recently.

I have exposed to the image on the LCD before and produced wonderful results. Or, at the very least, results that didn't drive me to post on a discussion board.
    As per your questions:
--I use 4 different methods to determine how I am exposing my image. In Manual, I use the TTL metering chart in the viewfinder (usually exposing -0.7 to -1.3 so as to compensate for the tendency for the camera's meter to overexpose), the resulting image on the LCD, the histogram, and the in-camera highlights indicator (since, once again, it has a tendency to try and overexpose an image). In Priority modes, I use the camera's exposure compensation setting to set the compensation to -0.7 or -0.1. The resulting JPEG that I see in the pre-import thumbnails and the brief seconds during import are exactly the exposure I want, but when Aperture finishes importing, it's entirely too underexposed. And it's not just that-- the color seems to be worse than it would if it were just simple underexposure... it all feels grey.
-- I use matrix metering most of the time, with spot metering in the rare instance that requires more precise measurement than just tweaking the aperture or shutter up or down a stop or so. Snow or water pictures are a prime example.
Just so we're clear, I know how to use a camera. I know how to expose properly, and in the past year with my camera, I feel I've figured out its quirks. It takes a lot to drive me to discussion boards, as I usually figure out problems myself. But, since the lingo and strange things of digital photography (Color Space, EXIF data, RAW conversion engines, etc.) confuses me sometimes, I am looking for more human help. I haven't had this problem (or this dramatic of a problem) in the past.
The RAW images outside of the last couple of months seem fine (maybe having something to do with the fact that I upgraded to 2.1 from the 1.0 software about 6 months ago and am finally getting back to photography during my summer break). And the JPEGs that I am apparently exposing for are fine as well. It's just after Aperture imports the RAW file that I am having these problems.
Like I said, I want to continue to use RAW. I want it to work like I thought it was working in the past (that is, without major exposure headaches). But I want the image that I thought I was getting. So how do I make Aperture see the same (or nearly the same) image that I am seeing in the JPEG thumbnail? The difference is just too dramatic to pass it off as quirks and be okay with that. And no, at least as the photography part goes, I do not think it's a short between the floor and the camera.

  • Unable to view photos after adjustments (except in preview mode)

I upgraded to Aperture 2.0 and would like the program but for an annoying glitch. Each time I open aperture I can make edits to one or two photos without problems, but then photos start to disappear from the viewer window. There is nothing but a blank canvas where they were. The photos will only reappear after a restart to aperture. The will appear in Preview Mode just fine.
Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be. I recall this happening a few times with 1.5.6, but this is now happening every time I use Aperture 2.0.
    Thanks.

yes I get this more often on my Powerbook G4, and have had it a couple of times on my brand new MacBook Pro. With the MBP it's usually half or quarter of the image turning black. With the PG4 it's the whole image turning black. There are several threads on here about this issue with lots of respondents. This issue existed in 1.x and was fixed at some point (was gone in 1.5.6). Sadly it's returned.

  • When Searching for attachments to mail, preview mode doesn't work

When I am in mail and am composing a new email and I click "Attach" to attach a file, the current folder comes up and shows the preview mode of every file type (i.e. pictures and pdf previews). No problems. However, if I then do a search for something (my name for example) to narrow down my choices of files or images to select, the next search level does not show a preview of the files or images, just a .pdf icon or the .jpeg icon - NO PREVIEW. This is extremely frustrating! I tried on different folders and the same results occurred. Any ideas or is this a bug?

    Hi Pranava,
I couldn't reproduce this issue, when I create root folder FS0 in "Shared Documents" and start a full crawl, I click the FS0 link from search results page, it will open the FS0 folder as well as folder under FS0.
Please right-click the FS0 name hyperlink (e.g. mine is http://sp/Shared%20Documents/FS0) and paste in IE browser see if it could be accessed successfully.
Also test if other Shared Documents have this issue in other site collection or web applications, if not, run a full crawl may do a trick (please reset search index if only full crawl still doesn't work).

  • Footer extends longer in Preview Mode then in Design Mode

I have attached two JPEGS that show my footer in "Design" mode and in "Preview" mode.
In "Design" mode the footer is perfect.  It is the size and distance it needs to be at.  However, when viewing it in "Preview Mode", the footer extends downward farther then it should.  I've looked all over the page to see if there was something from another graphic or image or shape that could be extending downward and I don't see anything.
Take a look at both images and tell me why this is happening?  I did have a lightbox gallary on this page.  I thought that the gallery was extending it downward so I removed it to test my theory.  Even after removing it, it still does not work the way it should.

Check if you have Sticky Footer enabled:
    File > Site Properties
Page > Page Properties (for master and child pages)
Let me know if neither of those work, it could be that you just need to preview in browser to see what the true height will be in the footer.
    Hope this helps!

  • Have .png images in indexed mode - how to edit?

Hello - I have some images in indexed mode and my Photoshop CS 4 won't let me edit them - how can I get them out of indexed mode?
here's a screenshot of my work area:

You can also look at my profile and see how many people have awarded me points for useful responses.
I'm sorry if you are unable to interpret my responses as anything but helpful. I'm not attacking you. I am pointing out the problem with CMYK conversion. Does the fact that fewer functions are available in CMYK mode tell you that CMYK is not the ideal mode for editing images? With color profilng and CMYK preview, there are few situations where one really must dumb down an image to CMYK mode.
Let's grow up and discuss Photoshop, not your own interpersonal issues.

  • All photos in portrait format are displayed blurred in the preview mode "fill" of the library. In all other modes e.g. "fit"or "1:2" the photos are sharp. How can I change this, so that the photos are still sharp when displaying them in the mode "fill"?

All photos in portrait format are displayed blurred in the preview mode "fill" of the library. In all other modes e.g. "fit"or "1:2" the photos are sharp. How can I change this, so that the photos are still sharp when displaying them in the mode "fill"? My Lightroom release is 5.7.1.
    Thanking you in anticipation!

I'd like to get all these '-1 suffix' files together with their associated Develop adjustments into one folder (if they aren't already) so I can see them in Grid view in the Library module, which I use as my basic starting point for everything else at this early stage of my Lightroom 'career'.
To see what folder these are stored in, right-click on a photo and select "Go to Folder in Library".
Advice: if you are going to use Lightroom effectively, you probably want to stop using folders as your method to create a grouping of photos that are already in Lightroom; there are plenty of built-in tools, such as keywords, collections, color labels, etc.
I don't understand why the search on the entire catalog picked up apparently the same two file versions but also got the Develop adjustments when going to the relevant Folder didn't show the adjustment black squares against each image in Grid view nor were they there when the images were opened in the Develop module.  Perhaps if I understood this, I'd be a bit more confident of moving forward myself.
These are most likely different versions of the same photo, in different folders. Lightroom stores the edits in its own catalog, and so it knows that one folder's photos have edits, and the other folder's photos do not have edits. Please understand that Lightroom is a database, it knows where the photos are at the time you import them (or add them to the catalog by synchronize), and then if you move things around in your operating system, Lightroom does not know anything about that and problems begin. Thus the advice to organize using Lightroom tools and methods and not operating system tools and methods.

  • Issues between Design mode and Preview mode

SERIOUS issues going from Design to Preview in Muse.  Line breaks change, objects on the page shift, etc.  This happens when I look at my page in the preview mode through Muse, as well as when I preview the page in a browser.  I also get a warning message saying there is a font being used that is not installed and has been replaced.  This is a font that I do, in fact, have installed on my system, but after getting the error message so many times, I re-formatted all text to a Web Font called Questrial, and still get the error message referring to the previous font.  SO FRUSTRATING.  Any ideas?

I have this problem where the images are not appearing or are appearing cropped.

  • Preview Mode question

    Hi All,
I'm new to the iMac, having just come from the PC world, and am hoping you can help me with a couple questions. I'm a photographer and in a PC opened my photos in preview then when I wanted to edit one, I'd right click and then choose the program I wanted to open the photo in (Photoshop). How do I do this from preview mode, or can I? I don't like selecting images to open from the thumbnails, because they're just not big enough to see the photo clearly.
Second question. Windows 7 allows you a folder view that opens the folder slightly, so you can see a couple of the contents inside. I don't believe Mac has that option but I thought I'd check. It's really handy, and didn't realize how often I'd used it.
    Thanks!!

Using the Finder's coverflow or column view is one way to get a little bit larger preview, and QuickLook can be used for an even larger (or full screen) preview. Right-clicking on a file will let you choose what to open it with (you will need to exit QuickLook if that is what you are using at the time).

  • Two pages look gray in preview mode, wont' export

Two pages in my document (a science text for kids) suddenly "went gray."  They look fine in normal mode, but in preview mode the pages look gray like the background, except for the imported images which still have a white background.  When I try to export and make a PDF file, those two pages come out as blank pages.  I tried to delete the pages but they won't delete.  When I click on the first page in the PAGES side bar, it takes me to the first page of the document and when I click on the second one, it takes me to the last page.  I have no idea what keys I might have accidentally pressed.  I don't even know the correct terms for the problem.  Does anyone know what is going on?  (This is a really important document for my business and is 250 pages long.)

See both Remove minor corruption by exporting and Replace Your Preferences and try rebooting your system.
