No Images in Viewer

Hi,
I have Aperture 3.2. Suddenly I can't see images in the main viewer. The viewer is just grey (i.e. background color). I can see the images in the browser and in the filmstrip area of the split view. Any ideas what's wrong?

I followed these instructions:
"I assume that you want to keep your Aperture library file on your internal drive, and just move your photo files (RAW, JPG) on which Aperture works to the External drive.
To do this, just launch Aperture, select to "Photos" album in the library (one of the top albums). Be sure to select all the photos in the grid viewer. Go to "File - Relocate Masters" menu.
In the panel, choose your external drive, (you have several options to generate a folder structure based on different criterion), click OK, take a coffee (or two) and you're done.
Aperture will handle the moving of all the files it currently references in your internal drive to the External drive, without losing the 'link' to them."

IPhoto 9.4.3 -not able to load image to view/edit

I have iPhoto 9.4.3 and am running 10.7.5 OS. I am able to see photo thumbnnails, zoom and see info on the image, however, I can not load the image to view or edit. When I try to click on the image I get a black screen.

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/ Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help: As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Does the frame persist after closing and re-opening Aperture?
Notice anything else different?
To post a screen shot, you first take it, them upload it. To take them, I use and recommend Skitch -- one of the best little apps ever. But this ability is built into OS X. Use Grab or Preview (search OS X Help for full directions). In Preview, use "File→Take screen shot ... →From selection ... ". Save the file in Preview to your drive. In the Discussion forum click the "Insert Image" icon (a camera) and select the file you created in Preview.

Capture window shows the same image with Viewer

Hi there,
I'm trying to capture a movie from HDCAM-SR via Sony SR-5500 deck.
Deck's settings look fine, It plays the tape very well, I can see it from it's original display screen.
I think somethings wrong with my FCP setting.
I use FCP 5.1. When I say CAPTURE, I see the same image in viewer and in capture windos. if the viewer is black, capture win. is black too. I tried to change my display settings, but it didn't work.
I'm capturing it via KONA 3 card and 10 Bit Uncompressed.
This happened before, but I don't remember how I get rid of that...

Display image in view

Hi,
My requirement is to create a web dynpro application where the first view contains all images stored in ECC along with one button (Display image). When the user clicks on the button Display image then another view should display the image on the screen.
I have created View1 with a table,which display the details of the table STXBITMAPs in it,when i select a row and press a button second view is displayed with a UI conatiner of type IMAGE.
Basiccaly when button on view1 is pressed, I get the value of the TDNAME field via lead_selection method and set this value to a global attribute, whch inturn is copied into second view and bonded to the SOURCE attribute of the UI element.
My problem is , that global attribute is being updated probley and value have been passed to second view..but Image is not being displayed on the screen.
Can anyone help me out in this.

You don't necessarily have to move your images from STXBITMAPS to the MIME repository. You can display any image - not just those in the MIME repository, by placing the content in the ICM Cache. This creates a temporary URL for any content. So you just need to read the binary content of the image from STXBITMAPS into a XSTRING variable. From there you can use this code sample to put the content in the cache and generate a URL:

Why can't I get the image to view larger when you click on a thumbnail?

I thought that there was a way to have the image open up larger in a new little window when you click the thumbnail on a photos page....when I click a thumbnail on my photos page it takes me right to slideshow view and the images are displayed too small to see fine detail (I am a retoucher, so my clients need to be able to see hi res images) I can't find a way to change the size of the slideshow images or to get my thumbnails to click open to a hi res version in a new window. The only solution I can think of is to use a blank template page, make each small image a link to a hidden page with the image at hi resolution....but this would take forever and I would have a gazillion pages on my site that way. Any idea how to get around this. Seems like the older version of iweb didn't have this problem...????

iWeb2 photos page is completely different from that of iWeb1.
iWeb2 photos page can be retro back to iWeb1, but not without major javascript coding.

Image instead of List Name, and hyperlink the image to view 'All Items.aspx' page

I would like remove the Page title for list (i.e., name of the list in view all items.aspx page) , and instead use image and hyperlink the image
to 'All items.aspx" page.
Using developer tool found the element (#PageTitle) and added 'Script Editor' webpart and below css script to it. I am successful in replace the
title to image, however, I am unable to add the HTML tag for hyperlink. Where do I need to add or how do I add? Could anyone help me please??

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to change the list title to an image.
I recommend to add the code below to the list page:

How to set image in background as background image in view

hello experts,
i am writing small program in that
i have one view , with one group box
i want to set an image which should appears as a background image for that view , also i want to appear the group on that image in foreground.
i have no clue how to do that, can anybuddy help me out.

Copy and paste images and viewing them

I just started using DW MX2004 to build ebay ads, but I am
needing to copy and paste hosted images into the template and view
them in design view. I am not using a server of any sort, just
designing. When I copy and paste a hosted image into DW I would
like to view it but all I get is a tiny image box.
Is there a setting that will let me view these hosted images
in design view?

No thumbnail images when viewing pictures folder via desktop & screensaver

When I go into system preferences and then Desktop & Screensaver I chose the pictures folder. It does not show any thumbnail images of any of the contents of my Pictures Folder, yet clicking on a blank area of space applies a desktop???? I have never seen this before anyone have any ideas?

There may be some minor issue or glitch in the system; and perhaps even
starting up in SafeBoot and using Disk Utility's repair disk permissions, then
quitting the utility, and restarting normally may help repair this situation.
Some file types, in some cases, may not appear in icon or thumbnail view;
and there are a few image editor applications whose custom icon thumb-
nail views actually appear as a generic icon w/o an image; but an original
import from a camera will have the correct thumbnail captured by Finder
and/or Preview (or iPhoto) by first-contact with the image from the camera;
but Photoshop or other third party shareware or freeware may not show one.
For a normal situation where a thumbnail image icon should be present:
Open up a finder window and do like this: from Finder=View=Show View Options
=Show Icon Preview. That will give you a thumbnail view of whatever document it is.
You can select to do this setting for all windows
Apparently your situation is different in that there may be a permissions or other
issue going on in the system; so try routine maintenance and also see if the images
are in the correct location for the system to see them. If the system is really messed
you may have to consider repairing it; try booting from the native disk utility in OS X
boot/installer disc, repair disk and repair disk permissions; then reboot using Startup
Disk in the boot disc's utilities menu (in installer menubar) and immediately press &
hold the Shift key on startup to engage SafeBoot; and re-repair disk permissions
from the System's hard drive located Disk Utility to re-correct these permissions, as
they will probably not be proper for the fully updated system running in the computer.
Then restart normally.
There may be file damage, so if that is discovered through additional troubleshooting,
you may have to consider a new system folder, as in "Archive & Install" then update.
Repair disk permissions between all update & install steps of system and other software.
If you have and use a utility interface tool such as OnyX (runs free, is donationware) from
Titanium Software, download from their site; and run all the checkbox items in Automation,
and then restart the computer - or set its preferences to do that also, automatically - this
may help general system health. It may not be able to fix something deeper in the system;
but a third party disk utility such as DiskWarrior or Drive Genius2 may help in other matters.
In some cases, depending on what images are involved and where they came from, be
they a chosen set of personal images you've directed the system to use as background
desktop images in Finder, or a set of Apple-supplied images, the results can be different.
I use a folder of camera created scenics as desktop backgrounds and use ToyViewer to
edit and rotate at a most basic level, since I try to make photos in the camera and not edit.
Sometimes, these will have generic non-image icons and not thumbnails; there is a way
to work around the issue should a whole folder of them go bad or change over w/o notice.
Hopefully someone who has fixed this problem will write a follow up; it is getting late in my
timezone and I am running on empty per this topic, among others... You may resort to an
Apple help or Apple Support documents search for a matching topic. That's a huge library.

Reduced images when viewing a forum with safari

Hello all,
I was trying to view an image that had been posted on a forum that I am subscribed to, using safari on my iPhone. I know that the image is 800x600 because I saw it full size with my office computer BUT when I try to view the same image on the same forum it only shows a tiny little image that fill a tenth of the screen even if I zoom in.
Is there something that prevents safari on iPhone to display the image in full size? Maybe a setting that needs to be turn on/off?

I would have noticed if it was a new window.
Funny thing is that I see the image in full size when the page first loads up then it shrinks to a pityful size which, BTW, is not a clickable thumbnail.

No image in Viewer, no histogram

Starting this evening, my images show up in the Browser and the Browser and Viewer combination, but not in the Viewer alone. As well, the histogram is not working, but is checked as on.

Click the View Drop down menu near the top center of the Viewer (it looks like a broken square).
At the top of that menu are 3 options:
1. Image
2. Image & Wireframe
3. Wireframe
I'll bet Wireframe is checked. Try options 1 or 2. The default keyboard for toggling through these 3 settings is the W key.

NO IMAGE IN VIEWER

Just replaced FCE with Pro 4.0. All is well, until I try to play a clip in either the timeline (CANVAS) or a clip in the VIEWER screen. I have a firewire device attached,and the playback is good through the device, but the Canvas and clip VIEWER screens go blank when I hit the play button. In fact they turn solid yellow. When the image is stopped, the picture reappears. Sounds like some kind of REAL TIME vs. FIREWIRE conflict, but I can't figure it out. I even disconnected the DV CAmera and rebooted FC PRO< but I can't get moving images to appear on any of my viewers in the edit mode. What button have a forgotten to uncheck?

Perhaps a stupid suggestion, but have you tried whacking the 'W' key? It doesn't sound like your problem (yellow frames do sound strange), but it is frequently the reason for people not seeing moving video in either window. Worth a try anyway before you diagnose hardware probs.

Office Document Imaging as Viewer with Archivelink ?

i'm dealing with these Archivelink themes for the first time. We have an archive (SAPERION) which is connected to SAP Rel.4.7 using HTTP.
i've read the documentation but it's just confusing .
What would be the customizing ( OAA3, OAA4 ?? ) to use the Microsoft Document Imaging just to view documents ?
Is it possible to get the viewer user - dependend ( perhaps via exit ) - so that the usery could decide which viewer (ECL-Viewer or Microsoft ) they want to use ? i found in debuuging the table TOAEX but no documentation what to do with that .
An help would be appreciated ..

If you would need to open the documents with Microsoft Office Document
Imaging without opening the document viewer,please do the following
settings in your system.
1.Launch the transaction OAC0.Double click on the respective content
repository.
2.Go to edit mode.click on the 'Full Adminstarion' tab.
3.Please maintain a protocol if not maintained already.for example the
protocol SAPHTTP.save it.
4.Launch the transaction OAA3.Create an entry with the same protocol and
the same version.Save it.
5.Double click on the protocol and it will take you to a screen
'Over view of protocol'.
Then click on 'Display Stored document' >Choose the document type
'TIF' >choose the communication type as 'ARCHIVELNK' >Click on
continue.
Similarly click on 'Retrieve Stored Document on Client PC' >choose the
communication type as 'TABLE' >Click on continue.
Then click on 'Display local file' >choose communicaion type as
'ARCHIVELNK' >Click on continue.
6.SAVE the settings.
Once the above setting is done,the document should get displayed with
the Microsoft Office Document Imaging in your system.
