No Infopackage available in Load process (In Process Chain)

Hello All,
We have a problem in process Chain,
When we add the load Process Item and want to see all the infopackage available, the system say no data... We have Infopackage on Datasource vs 3.x and Datasource BI7.

if i am right u r getting message" no data selected" when u try 2 find IP. which SP u wrking on. try to look 4 ur IP in infosources tab next to data targets in process chain maintainence. It looks like some bug. check note 1062704

How to design data load process chain?

Hello,
I am designing data load process chains for the first time and would like to get some general information on best practicies in that area.
My situation is as follows:
I have 3 source systems (R3 and two for which I use flat files).
How do you suggest, should I define one big chain for all my loading process (I have about 20 InfoSources) or define a few shorter e.g.
1. Master data R3
2. Master data flat file system 1
3. Master data flat file system 2
4. Transaction data R3
5. Transaction data file sys 1
... and execute one after another succesful end?
Could you also suggest me any links or manuals on that topic?

Andrzej,
My advise is to make separate chains for master & transaction data (always load in this order!) and afterwards make a 'master chain' where you insert these 2 chains one after the other (so: Start process -> Master data chain -> Transaction data chain).
Regarding the separate chains; paralellize as much as possible (if functionally allowed). Normally, the number of parallel ('vertical') chains equals the nr of CPU's available (check with basis-person).

Infopackage laoding scheduled in Process Chain and events involved

Hi BW-Experts,
Till now I was loading a infopackage normally and it had an subsequent event. Now if I schedule this infoapckage in process chain will it raise event after the load finishes.

in it when we go into infopackage we get options like..
Scheduling Options
Subsequent Processes
in subsequent processes we can tick on chk box for triggereing event.......
if I load this infopackage without Process Chain then it will raise event after load finishes....
my query is?
will this infopackage raise event if I Schedule it thru Processs Chain after load finishes..

2 Infopackages missing after installing Process Chain BI 7.0 TechContents

Hi,
I have installed the process chains for BI 7.0 Technical Contents and when trying to run a check on the process chains, I got an error on these 2 infopackages which were not installed from the BI 7.0 technical content packages:
0PAK_472D695A0ZS3DWVBA4H1OO9A6
0PAK_472D4SFZXKU0L9FF8UESP72F2
Anyone know if these 2 infopackages are needed and if yes, where are these infopackages loading data to?

Please upgrade the system to SAP_BW SP16
There is a work-around for activating these two process chains if you don't want to upgrade the SP Level to SP16.
Apply SAP Note No. 989927 and run the installation report RSTCC_ACTIVATEADMINCOCKPIT_NEW. Please follow the manual steps mentioned below.
Please execute the transaction RSPC (Network Display). Change to 'Edit' mode. Go to the Main Menu. Double-click on Query Runtime Statistics - Init (0TCT_C0_INIT_P01) and right-click on 'Load Data (0TCT_DSA1_INIT_DATAMART)' and select 'Remove Process' option in the Context Menu. Repeat the same procedure for the subsequent process 'Create Index (Generated from Loading 0PAK_472D4SFZXKU0L9FF8UESP72F2) and remove the links related to it as well. Then Activate the Process Chain 'Query Runtime Statistics - Init (0TCT_C0_INIT_P01)'.
Go to the Main Menu. Click on Query Runtime Statistics - Delta (0TCT_C0_DELTA_P01) and right click on 'Load Data (0TCT_DSA1_DELTA_DATAMART)' and click 'Remove Process' in the Context Menu. Remove all links leding to it as well. Then Activate the Process Chain 'Query Runtime Statistics - Delta (0TCT_C0_DELTA_P01)'.
Then Schedule the Process Chain 'Query Runtime Statistics - Init (0TCT_C0_INIT_P01)'. This will take care of the Process Chain 'Query Runtime Statistics - Delta (0TCT_C0_DELTA_P01)' as well.

Delta and Full load Process Chain

Hi Guru`s,
I have a one standard target (infocube) which is fetching data from the 3 datasources. Out of 3 datasources 2 are standard datasources and 1 is Generic datasource (Custom datasource).
These 2 standard datasources have Delta load and Generic datasource have full load.
I have to design the process chain by using Full load and Delta load.
Can any body tell me how could I achieve this requirement.

Reg. Error while Full load - process chain

Hi,
I am running a process chain, which is a full load. In Manage screen it is in RED status whereas, While i chekced in Monitor screen it is showing as "Missing messages" . While I checked in the error and warning messages, I found that the data packet should be run manually. So I tried Manual update option by killing the job manually. After doing this i tried to run the same process with "Back to Technical Status" option. While performin this again i got an error saying "REQUXXXX terminated, as data packet 0000XX could not be locked"
How this error can be rectified.
Please advice.

I found that the data packet should be run manually. So I tried Manual update option by killing the job manually..................which job u hav killed........? Extraction Job?If u hav killed the Extraction job........then Manual update is not possible..............Manual update is only possible when the Extraction job will get completed successfully........
Due to this u r getting the Error Message error saying "REQUXXXX terminated, as data packet 0000XX could not be locked"....................When the request itself does'nt exist............how could u do Manual update for that deletedrequuest........
Then only option is..............make the QM status red.............delete the request from the target and repeat the load.........

Infopackage deleted - error in process chain

Helle experts,
I have a problem in process chain.
Today the log advices an error because an Infopackage (that is used in the chain) was deleted yesterday; in fact, in the chain there is an other name for the Infopackage (first question: is this automatically generated?).
It seems that none deleted it.
Can you help me, please?

I think that the problem can be resolved with the creation of a new Infopackage with the same features of the precedent, but I don't understand the cause of the problem.

Hi,
you can check in the log what went wrong for this InfoPackage: transaction SLG1, object RSSM, subobject SDL, external ID = *.
What kind of name do you have in your chain? Is it a generated name or a name one of you typed for the IPack.
In a chain some of the packages are generated automatically depending on the process you drag in your chain.
Creating a new IPack with the same name would work I think, if the package in your chain is not a generated one. If it is a generated IPack, then create a new IPack and drag it in your chain.

Stopping Loads (process chains)

Hi all
I see this question has been asked but I don't see a really clear answer.
I have a job running as part of a META process chain that is remaining yellow for a long period of time. As per the "wait until" settings.
I'd like to stop this load (and preferably the whole chain) so that I can re-run them manually.
When I go to SM37 I see several BI_PROCESS_LOADING events some are cancelled (earlier already red steps in the chain) and the rest are complete. I don't see any running jobs that i can stop. If I go to SM50 I see many waiting jobs but they have no details such as user.
Can I just set the yellow loads in progress to RED? or will that have other negative affects?
Is there a way within RSPC to just kill the whole chain?

as you said, you need to stop Process to stop that failed one. So that you can restart your chain again.
Check in SM51, check for All Application Servers. SM50 will show process details for Current Application Server.
If you think it was cancelled and no process is running, you can make itred and reschedule it.

Master Data daily Load Process Chain Error..

Hi All,
I have a process chain which is used to extract master data for 6 infoobjects ,all the Attribute data is delta and all the Text Data is full , now my proess chain suddenly failed on 9/09/2010 and from that day even when i try 'Repeat' the Start process is fine but the next process starts and then goes to 'RED' when i checked the error i saw the error message as 'Requesting the last delta for master data is not supported' . Can anyone help me with how to rectify this process chain when i check the IDocs i am seeing a error 'Code page not found' and also an error 'Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API'

Make sure your last delta was sussessfull or not?
If not change the status of the failed load to red and try to reinti the load.
This problem occurs when we tried to request repeat delta for master data extractors, For Master data datasources delta updated based on ALE Change pointers. So Repeat can't be done if any delta load ended with error.
YOu need to reinitalize.

Failure of infopackage step in process chain - Error in source system.

Hello Experts,
We are experiencing this during the execution of process chain.
All the step for data loads within BW(DSO to DSO, DSO to cube) are failing with error -
- Error in source system
- Error during data selection
Please note that we are 3.5 data flow and thus, data load within BW is through emulated data source and the infopackage. Steps running such infopackages for emulated data source are failing in process chain with error above.
Surprisingly, when I run the infopackage manually out of process chain it runs successful without any error. But when I run through process chain it fails.
Any clue or suggestion? We have already tried doing re-initialization for infopackage.

Hi,
When we run data loads thru process chain it will run in background. as per the available background application servers your request will be processed.
as my your during your load time server will be on high load.
please check your system busy schedule and schedule your process chains.
Check Tx - SM50, if you have less application servers, then ask basis to create few more to application servers to process the request at busiest time.
check about increasing parallel processing and default data transfer settings.
go to info package---> menu scheduler--> data settings for default data transfer.

Infopackage variable in process chain

I need to execute a chain that ask for an infoobject values before the execution, using it to filter in a infopackage included in the chain.
Is it possible?
Could I enter individual and ranges values in the previous selection?

Hi,
there is no such way available for a process chain to ask for selection.
You can try the following work around. Create an ABAP program to get user entered values for the infopak selection and put in the table TVARVC.
now in your infopak write routine at field selection level to read corresponding values from the table TVARVC.
NOw what you could do is, at the end of your main ABAP program trigger your process chain. so the process chain will be triggered imd once you enter the values.

InfoPackage Hangs when called from Process Chain

We recently implemented the 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL DataSource and have scheduled the execution of a Delta InfoPackage in our nightly Process Chains.
After working correctly for 2 weeks the InfoPackage has hung the last 3 nights. It is being called and when I view the process chain log it is in the yellow (in process) status. When I look in SM37 in R/3 the extractor has not been called.
All of our master data and transactional data from other areas runs prior to this extractor and works perfectly via the process chain and if I force the InfoPackage to red and re-execute manually for 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL I have no problems.
How/where should I troubleshoot this?

Hi Jonathan,
Goto your process chain-> Select the delta infopackage -> right click and select wait time and enter the time in seconds. You could set it to 600 secs(10 minutes).
This would be a permanent solution to your problem as you need not go to BD87 each time for your data load.

I have developed a Process chain for delta loads. Now my question is, can we use process chain to load full load data source for master data, if yeas then what are the steps.
If we can use process chain for full load to master data then can we use delta and full load infopackages in the process chain.

Hi Sata,
You can Include both Full and Delta in the Process Chain. But make sure that you execute the Init InfoPackage manually before executing the delta InfoPackage in the Process Chain.
For Full Load Process chain, add the infopackage
>DTP for Full Load---->delete PSA data variant(after 2days) -
>attribute change run
Normally load the hierarchy first then the attribute and text.

BP daily load failed in process chain

Hi,
I am using process chains for daily loading of master data. I have an infopackage scheduled in that process chain named 0BP_DEF_ADDRESS_ATTR_INIT/DELTA_CRM01 (ZPAK_48WV8918R85SEUHG8N1IP6DJQ) . This infopackage is showing an error. When i diagnosed it says "Second attempt to write record '0030368557' to /BI0/PBPARTNER was successful"
And during error analysis i found this is causing the error.
Has anybody come across this error? How to correct this?

I deleted the request on Requests tab. However the request still runs on the reconstruction tab and when i manually try to do a delta load it says the last load is not finished yet.

Loading master data through process chain

Hi Gurus
I am designing the process chain , I know that I have to start by loading master data first for that I am planning to load attribute first and then to load text and then Hierarchy. Is that the right sequence?
Also how can I make sure that once the master data is loaded , the transaction data loading start automatically?
I am planning to put attribute chage run as last process in every master data loading . Is that correct?
Also i would appreciate if you can tell me the very first step I should follow to start my design, I have already identified the master data and transaction data and their respective dependancies.what would be my next step?

Hi Kris,
Make two seperate Process Chains for Master Data and Transaction Data
For Master Data:
Your sequence is absolutly correct, Identify what all Master Data Objects and make a list of InfoPackages and Start creating Process Chain as
Start --> Attribute --> Text --> Hier --> Attr Change Run
For Transactional Data:
Identify the Data Targets and the Sequence of loading, then create the Process Chain
NOTE: Always Master Data should be loaded before Transaction Data
After Creating different Chains for Master Data and Transaction Data, Make a one Super Chain called Meta Chain where you can put all these process chains,
Meta Chain --> Process Chain 1( Master Data Chain) --> Process Chain 2( Transaction Data)
