No install error... but it's not in PPT

Hey there,
I have Windows Vista Home (SP1) and Office 2003. I have
installed Presenter on this machine before. I uninstalled it this
morning to test something out, and now I can not reinstall it.
I have tried un- and re-installing multiple times (with
re-downloaded installation files), resetting Office, and rebooting.
No luck. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is this a SATA hard drive by any chance? Sounds like you have an Adaptec SCSI controller, but no hard drive attached to it. Are you booting an install DVD of some sort?

Mac OS X 10.6 includes QuickTime versions 10.0 and 7.6.3. The QuickTime 7 player will only be present if a QuickTime Pro key was present at the time of installation, or if specified as part of a custom install, or individually downloaded:

Snow Leopard update 10.6.4 included an update to 7.6.6 (if installed). You can install it from the above link even though it says for 10.6.3. It's the same version of QuickTime Player 7.6.6.
(Only QuickTime Player 7.6.3 or 7.6.6 can be updated to "Pro".)

First of all - if you are in the purchased tab of the app store - If you tap on "All" at the top - when you find the app - it should either say Installed and it should be greyed out because it is already on the iPad - or if you tap on "Not on this iPad" at the top - when you find the app it should have a cloud icon next to it so that you can tap that and download the app.
So if the word Installed is greyed out - the app is on your iPad - and that is why tapping install does no good. You can search for the app on the iPad with Spotlight. Swipe to the right from the first home screen and type in the name of the app at the top and see if it does show up.
If you are sure that it is not on the iPad - or available for download like I described above - I have no idea what the problem is but try some basic troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. See if it will install now.
Quit the apps store app completely and then try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit the app by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the app store icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the app. Try to download the app again.

That file might have moved to a different location on the server. I think you'll need to check with RefWorks support or your local IT department on why the install page links do not work.

HT1947 Fun bridge keeps hanging up. I reinstall and then it works until yesterday. It shows I installed it but it is not showing up. When I go to where I can reinstall it, it will not let me because it says I have already installed it on this device.

Can someone please help? I have has issues with an ap that I have to pay ongoing to use and, last time, it was about $100, for 1000 deals of bridge. It hangs up often, for want of a better description. What I have done in the past is uninstall and the reinstall it. Yesterday I did this but it no longer shows on my screen. When I go back to try to install it, I am "told" it has already been installed but it is not here. I am not a newbie. I have also sent them a message, from two places reserved for that by them and, both times, I get an error. Their development site is in French so that does not help me.
I see nowhere on my IPAD2 settings where I can do anything such as delete an existing ap. Apple wants me to pay them $29 for one-time help and I do not think this is fair for something I am paying for that is not working. I have paid over $200 total for this ap and it's continuing usage. The ap is free but to really use it, you have to pay ongoing charges.

You are not using iPhoto properly and are in danger of losing your photos
iPhoto is a SQP database application and there are NO user servicable parts in the database (by default the iPhoto library) It is extremely important that you NEVER make any changes of any sort to the content (or structure) of the iPhoto library
The only safe (and suppoprted) way to resize photo is to select them and export using the various esize options in teh export dialogue and use those resized photos - this is a bathc process and does not involve Preview nor does it involve seperate processing for each photo

Download install error because it is not supported in iTunes

I just downloaded Flash Player update (Adobe) but when I go to install it an error pops up that it is not authorized? i.e. flash player no longer resides in iTunes though it is a FREE app.
I know this happened only because I did an OS (Mountain Lion) and Safari update which return my setting back to DEFAULT instead of my preference but I do not remember how to change to what I want. I need those directions again.

Is it possible that the operating system on your Mac is telling you that the Flash installer is from an unidentified developer? If that is the case, use the steps in this article to complete the installation -

After a Mac update, flash player (along with silverlight) asked to be installed when I tried to watch video content or play games. I installed flash player and it reports being successful and appears in my applications. However, I cannot watch videos or play games, every time I am asked to install flash player again and again and again. I suspect this has something to do with plugins but I am not sure. I have un-installed the program and reinstalled but it still will not work. I check my security settings and it does allow plugins. I erased my temporary internet files. I don't know what else to do. Any help would be appreciated! This is incredibly frustrating. Thank you

core i7, 16gb - version 10.9.5. I have not intentionally installed any ad
blocking software; intact I am inundated with it most times. My online
school work required that I disable pop up blockers and all was well until
an update a few weeks ago for both security and operating system. To the
best of my knowledge I am allowing pop ups and plugins but this may be
where the trouble is. I am unsure, honestly of what security is running
besides what I find in the system preference/security tab. Thank you again

Thanks for the question. (-50) is a timeout error that can occur when downloading content or when simply trying to access the iTunes Store. If you have automatic downloads enabled, you may be experiencing this error when iTunes is attempting to automatically download available content.

This can happen when the connection timeout occurs while downloading purchased content from the iTunes Store. Certain types of software may also affect the way a computer sends and receives information from the internet. Here are a few examples of these types of software:

I just installed 10.2.2. When I tried to start iTunes, I got the message that Rosetta needed to be installed to open iTunes. It downloaded and installed Rosetta but iTunes will not open and it no longer has the iTunes icon. What do I do now?

I installed iTunes 10.2.2. When I tried to open it, I got the message that iTunes needs to install Rosetta to open. It then appeared to download and and install Rosetta. When I try to open iTunes, the icon bounces but iTunes does not open. The icon has also changed from the usual iTunes icon. What do I do now?

I have a 2010 MBP15 which I do not use as much as my pc. When I do, I check for updates and I believe I updated iTunes to 10.2.2 a week or so ago. Since I still use iTunes primarily on my pc, I didn't bother firing up the updated iTunes on the mac.
Last week, when I actually started iTunes on the mac, I got the message that Rosetta needed to be installed. Like abefighter I stalled. I surfed the net, read this thread to get some hints as to w** was going on.
When I checked the system profile in the mac, I think it showed PowerPC for 'kind.' Surfing the Internet I found out Rosetta was something needed to help applications work on PowerPCs. But wait, since this MBP is an Intel, why would or should it be asking me for some stone-age plug-in that was never mentioned in all the previous updates for iTunes until now? Fyi, the iTunes icon on the dock had changed to what I think is an AppleWorks icon.
So, I assumed that the update that resulted in my mac was corrupted. At first I scoured for 10.2.1, thinking that the last version was a dud, but in vain, nowhere to be found. I gave up and settled for a fresh 10.2.2. I did a casual delete, without touching any of the related personal preference files in my folder and it now which works fine. I'm glad I didn't jump to install Rosetta; I read elsewhere about someone who actually went through with the Rosetta install that resulted unhappily.
Unless the mac in question is a PowerPC, I would doubt the need for Rosetta installation.
