The driver for the CT6840 (Webcam III) is availaible on windows update from Win2000 to Vista 32BITS?So, if you have purchased your version of windows, you can go to windows update and install the driver with it !?If even you need the full CD, search "ct6840" on e-mule ... ;-)

If it's updates through the Office auto-updater that are having problems, that's probably an issue you'll need to take up on Microsoft's support site. If you're having problems installing Office from scratch and it's saying it can't find Installer, you may need to repair your hard drive. My phone worked for me all the way to work, while sitting in my console...then i get to work and it says that a SIM card is needed to operate and that I need to turn it off and insert...well as other Razr owners know, you can't remove the SIM card...why is it doing this for no reason?

It's the battery that can't be removed. Try turning off the phone, remove the SIM card (be careful not to touch the gold contacts), wait a few minutes, then re-insert the SIM card, turn the phone back on, and give it a couple of minutes to re-establish a network connection. If that doesn't work, the SIM card may have somehow become corrupted and you'll need a new one (they're free at your local Corporate Verizon store). BI Java Installation: Clarification Needed!

I'm wondering if someone could help clear this up for me:
We have installed NW2004s SPS08 on Solaris with only the usage type EP (AS Java/EP). Awhile back I was tasked with connecting our BW ABAP system to our Portal ("Integration into the Portal" - transaction SPRO etc).
After starting this task I noticed I was missing things that the instructions were telling me to configure; i.e. Items that were related to BI that weren't in the Portal such as certain roles, the BI Repository Manager etc.
Reading around, it seemed like I need to install the BI usage type.
I have now been tasked with another installation of the Portal (NW2004s SR1 this time), but am trying to head off the problems I'm experiencing trying to connect the Portal to our BW ABAP system. This will be a Java only installation. I've read that BI-Java requires EP and AS Java, and that if I install the BI-Java usage type, EP and AS-Java will be installed automatically.
My question is, if I do the BI-Java installation and it automatically installs EP/AS-Java, will the Portal still act the same way as it does in my EP/AS-Java only installation I already have? We have many plans to use the Portal as an entry point for all of our backend systems, so if the Portal's capabilities are not what we see already (in our first installation of just EP/AS-Java) then we will have problems.
Any clarification is greatly appreciated and I will award points accordingly.

I was actually wondering about DI as well. Our developers are having problems deploying .EAR files to our original EP-only install. They can deploy .PAR files with no problems, but .EAR files always error out. Maybe having DI will solve this problem as well? I'm a little concerned about the hardware capacity of this box with having BI, EP and DI all installed on it. I had contacted SAP about installing DI a while back and basically they had told me to install it on a seperate server, by itself. We're running a Sun Enterprise 420R, 4G of memory and a 450 mhz processor for this new installation. Do you think this box is capable of handle EP, BI and DI (AS-JAVA)?

Hi Rama,
First you need to install MS SQL2005 serevr then you need to proceed Solution manager 4.0 Installation. Once it complete the Solman installation then you need to continue NW2004s/ERP2005 .
During Installation of NW2004s/ERP 2005 it will ask solman key then goto Solution Manager, tcode:SMSY and then generate key
then copy the same key for above installation and then continue.

VCM installation help needed on SQL DB and Reporting server

Hi All,
I'm new to VCM and now i got stuck at the SQL DB and Report server portion.
I'm running the vcm server on VM and the SQL is a physical server, both are sitting on the same LAN.
I have create the SQL DB but VCM just fail to validate the DB and report server.
I login to VCM using a Domain account for installation, and i tried to testing the DB using ODBC from the window, result fail.
Error message as attach.
I'm now totally lost on SQL portion.
My Question:
Is there any configuration needed on SQL DB?
How to get the reporting server to working?
What port is needed to it all working??
VCM server Ms Win2012.
SQL version 2012.

For SSRS, first check whether the report server link is accessible from your browser : "http://s01-fes-vcm1:80/ReportServer" . If you continue to get 404 error there also, then you need to reconfigure you report server first before proceeding to vcm installation. Follow the steps on below link on how to reconfigure report server using report services configuration Manager for 404 error.

For SQL server ODBC connection,
Dont create ODBC connection for SQL Native Client. Create ODBC connection for SQL Server.
1. Open ODBC Data Source Administrator
2. Click User DSN tab and Click Add button.
3. Select SQL server and click finish
4. Give name and description and Give the SQL server name (with instance name if your using named instance) or IP in the Server text box.
5. Click Next and select either Windows authentication or sql authentication based on your SQL server authentication mode and click next.
6. If the details given are correct then it will proceed further and check "Change the dafault database to" to your VCM database
7. Click next and finish and try test data source.
VCM 5.7.2 and below will support installation only on windows server 2008 R2 and it doesn't support windows server 2012 but it support both 2008 and 2012 sql servers.

I put the installation CD in, it starts up and after I click "next" I get an error message about the DemoShield encountering a problem.
I updated my quicktime....any suggestions? I really want to get this hooked up today!

Which version of QuickTime do you have? Newer version of Quicktime hould have already fixs some issues it has with Demoshield software. Have you try uninstalling Quicktime first and proceed with the WebCam installation?
