NO internet connection to WIFI on Windows 8.1 on iMac??

I have successfully installed windows but I think its missing some drivers to support network connection as my WIFI is not showing up on the Windows side, but is showing up on the MAC side, anyone know how to solve this???

Please install the appropriate Bootcamp drivers. These should have been downloaded to a USB drive when Bootcamp Assistant was run to install Windows.
The other option is to download them again from Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems - Apple Support

Using Remote app on iPhone 5 without a separate internet connection and wifi router.

Hi,
I need to be able to control iTunes within my MacBook Pro remotely. Using my mobile broadband service and wireless router I've been able to get the Remote app to allow my iPhone 5 to do the job nicely through Home Share. So I went and bought a separate WiFi router and tried to do the same thing. Of course when it didn't work, I discovered that I need an internet connection and WiFi network to make the Home Sharing work.
So I got to thinking, can I create a WiFi hotspot using the Personal HotSpot functionality of my iPhone, set up Home Sharing on phone and MacBookPro and then use the Remote app. Ideally this would work as it seems all the key components are in place.
The MacBook Pro accepts the iPhone hotspot as a means of Home Sharing, however the iPhone won't use the personal hotspot to Home Share and I can't connect to the iPhone personal hotspot on the iPhone itself.
Does anyone know how to make this work for me? It would be such as neat solution if I can get it to work - not to mention the potential to save me about $200 (I need to set this model up for two people).

Can I share my internet connection via wifi AND use my wireless printer at the same time?

Not completely familiar with wifi capabilities. I have this new setup in my office. I want to share my iMac internet connection via wifi so I can text and check emails using my iPhone (no cell service inside the building). Which works fine. However, I now cannot print wirelessly to my HP printer (LaserJet Pro 400 color). Once Internet sharing is off, I can print just fine. Any other wireless options, or just go get a long USB cable?

It is not a multitasking printer, other devices may keep it therefore the best option in this case: connect it to your wireless router and all devices which are conntected to this router can sahre the printer.

You might want to try resetting your router and your modem - just unplug the cords, leave them unplugged for about 3-5 minutes and then replug the modem and then the router in that order.
This may or may not correct your problem - call back if it doesn't.

The pros all have that Ethernet adapter,... that should tell you something. An Ethernet restore via that "thing" makes restoring the OSX about 8X faster.
Its called a Gigabit Ethernet adapter for a reason.

We need a bit more information to be able to troubleshoot your issue.
The most common cause of Guest Network / No Internet problems is trying to use the AirPort with a modem/router or gateway device.
The AirPort needs to be connected to a simple modem in order for the Guest Network feature to operate correctly.
Can you provide the make and model number of the device that you call your "modem"?
We don't know if you are using a Mac or PC to try to configure the Express, so some information about what operating system your computer is using would be helpful.

My internet connection (not WiFi) is slow on my 10.8.4 Mac Mini after installing/removing Norton.

I believe I've experienced this problem before, but cannot remember the exact solution. The previous solution was deleting a file in the Mac OS (possibly even the finder? but that sounds worrisome), then restarting.
I am using a Mac Mini 2.5 GHz i5, with 16GB of recently installed (within the last 3 months) 3rd-party RAM, loaded with Mac OS 10.8.4.
Recently, I received a DMCA letter from Comcast (my second), which just seemed impossible to me, so I decided to actually take their advice and install Norton. Why? Because I'm a moron. After all, my network is locked down with WPA2, I have an encrypted Time Machine drive connected to my 3rd Gen Airport Extreme, and encrypt my Mini when logged out (which happens after 15 minutes of inactivity). In brief, there's no way Comcast's letter was correct. But to be sure, I installed Norton.
Almost immediately, crappy internet connectivity ensued. My Wifi signal was always strong, but my computer struggled to connect to the outside internet. So, after a week of wondering, I finally uninstalled Norton (using their uninstall application found online).
Still, my Internet connection was (and is) crap. Here are the steps I've already taken to resolve the issue:
1. I called Comcast and asked them to check on their end. They conducted a reset from their end, which seemed to improve my connection, but only temporarily. It has since resumed a slow connection that sometimes drops out.
2. I tried my network with other devices: 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, and one Macbook Air all have excellent internet connectivity. As I write this, my Mini struggles to load Comcast's speed test site, but my iPhone is pulling down near 30 Mbps.
3. I have connected my Mini to another, neighboring Wifi, and it works like a charm. Fast Internet, no cutting out.
4. I loaded Time Machine, and restored my system to its pre-Norton state. Still, the Internet connectivity is poor.
5. I have created a new network on my Airport Extreme. While my iPhone still pulls down a great connection, my Mini chokes on it.
The only things I can think to do from here is to Factory Reset my Airport (which I don't see as a plausible solution, since all my other devices connect through it just fine), wipe my Mini and start over (not a realistic solution for my business), or throw it out the window entirely, then stomp up and down on it (this won't fix my Internet issue, but I might feel better).
Thoughts? I KNOW it's an easy fix, but I just can't remember what it was. The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago with another Macbook, and it was a simple file deletion and restart.

Alright, I think I might've actually solved my own problem. Here's what I did (for anyone out there with the same/similar issue):
Open System Preferences and click on the Network pane.
Select Airport in the list to the left and click the minus button below to temporarily delete it.
Restart your Mac.
Go to the Network section of System Preferences again, this time pressing the plus button towards the bottom of the window.
Select Airport from the Interface menu, leave “Airport” as the default name, and click Create.
Select your WiFi network, and enter your password.
My speed is back up to speed, so fingers crossed that this works!

No internet connection after upgrade from windows 8 to windows 8.1

I have upgraded my operating system from windows 8 to windows 8.1, I also updated windows 8.1 after the system upgrated. I found there is no access to internet, although I have full wifi signal. I tried to conncet to the router via ethnet cable, but it still has no internet connection. However, I can see other computers at homenet via wifi. I have seen some questions in the Forum regarding wifi failure after upgrating to windows 8.1, and I tried to uninstall all my drivers (LAN and wireless) of network adapter, and re-install the latest drivers from HP website at http://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-Sleekbook-15-b000/5296234/model/5311051#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1(I tried the Ralink ones as I remembered the old drivers are Ralink), but it does not work. I have read your post on your HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b052ea and Windows 8.1 causing issues for you when trying to connect to the wireless. Try opening Device Manager, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. In Device Manager, locate the network adapter, and then double-click the device name. Click the Driver tab, and then uninstall everything in the list except the Realtek and the Ralink. Remove any USB devices and Ethernet cables that are connected. Restart the computer. After you restart the computer, please use the HP Support Assistant. The HP Support Assistant has a wireless connectivity troubleshooting tool inside. Here is a screen shot of the Internet and Security tool that will help you diagnose Internet Connectivity. Loss of internet connectivity after upgrading to windows 8.1

Hi, After upgrading to windows 8.1 from windows 8 i am experiencing major problems , loss of internet connectivity for no reason both I.E. and G/CHROME are now taking an age to open there are no virus issues as far as i can see.
I have uninstalled and re-installed windows 8.1 about four times over the past 9 months or so and the same thing happens after all the updates are in it runs like a dream for say 6weeks or so then i get the same faults as described above then i uninstall/ re-install ok for 6 weeks .
I would apprieate any help or advice thanks

I understand that after updating to Windows 8.1 about every 6 weeks you loose wireless connectivity for no reason and the web pages are very slow to open. If you uninstall and reinstall Windows 8.1 it works fine again for about the same amount of time. You have done this about 4 times with the same result each time.
Do you know if there is any changes at that time , perhaps an update?
You stated you do not believe you have any viruses. Just to be sure here are two links that will help confirm that.

HP Officejet Pro 8620 not printing from internet-connected to wifi

My HP printer is connected to my wifi. Settings are correct and shows printer is connected to wifi. Printed fine for a week from the internet, now won't print anything from internet or my email program. Prints fine from Word, Excel and other programs on my pc. How do I get my printer to print from the internet via wifi if it's already connected and computer and printer show it's connected?

My problem is either connected to wifi or ethernet, I can get a strange ip address and no internet. I called AT&T wifi support @ starbucks and they told me they could not give my machine an ip address. It also did not work on wifi at home, but worked in bootcamp.
Basically I cannot connect to the internet.
In case somebody else is experiencing a similar issue, my temp solution has been to turn the date and times setting to the year 2000, reboot and restart looking for wifi. For some reason that works, and I can change the time back after that.
This is new for me and if somebody else has a similar issue I would love to hear it.

Sharing Internet Connection between Mac and Windows

I have a Windows Desktop and a Macbook 13". Am I able to share the Internet between them?
My Mac has Airport to connect wirelessly. So does my PC, except this Wireless connection always fails. I have re-installed the software and so on, but it still is failing.
What I would like to do is to have my PC connect to my Mac (preferably wirelessly, but I will use an Ethernet cable if I have to!) and then use the Wireless Internet connection. Is this possible, or am I just dreaming?
Help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Right now, I have Verizon DSL that uses a Westell router. It has 4 ethernet ports on the back in addition to the DSL connections. I have a HP Pavilion with Windows XP in the basement, an iMac G3 in my room, and an intel iMac in our living room all connected to the router by ethernet cables. Each computer is able to access the other computer's files. On the intel iMac I have Microsoft Remote Desktop installed so that I can log into the HP in the basement and control it from the iMac. I haven't tried operating this network wirelessly, but I would imagine that it would be possible. One thing that you might want to check is the router's configuration. My router has settings that either allow or block wireless signals. To access my router's settings I type in 192.168.1.1 in Safari or Internet Explorer. Having all 3 computers on the internet at the same time does not slow the speed of the DSL very much.

Why can't I use my mac as a WiFi extender if it is receiving it's internet connection via WiFi?

Now I'm not the most tech savvy person, but why is it I can't use my mac as a WiFi extender if it is getting its internet signal via WiFi? Would it mess up the original signal it's receiving?

You can do it.. but we do not recommend the use of a computer to do a task that a cheap router can handle better..
But what you need is a second wifi card. In a Mac there are a number of ways to achieve that.. without card slots .. USB wireless sticks that are Mac compatible is one way.
You set up the computer with ICS (internet connection sharing) just look it up.
You receive signal on whichever network you have .. Ethernet being hugely superior of course.. and then the computer can act as router/bridge to duplicate that connection via any other network connection it has.. on a Mac with thunderbolt.. you could use a second ethernet via adapter.. or wifi with USB stick etc.
However.. a cheap second hand Apple router will work far better doing the same wireless extend.. without requiring your computer to be on 24/7 for any other client to use.

Probably just a glitch. Try to reset your iPad. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot, then try again.
ALso, try force quitting safari. Double tap the home button. When you see the preview for safari, flick it up and off the screen, then single tap the home button to exit the mode. try again to connect.
If that doesn't work, you can try going into the settings and 'reset all network settings' and then try to reconnect to your wifi from scratch.
