No Internet connection was found. Please check your Internet settings or firewall.
When I try to update I get this message:
"No Internet connection was found. Please check your Internet settings or firewall."
and porgram won't update.
I tried "fixes" offered on ADOBE website to no avail.
Anyone know how to fix this ?
1 minute of silence for that awesome forum that ADOBE was....sniff sniff
ADOBE tech "support" isn't of much use in this. They suggest me to manually update. I know CS3 is fixed update not requiring more download after 3.2, but my updater used to run fine and now it doesn't on a freesh computer install. I'd like to fix this cause this is an indicator that something is wrong on my computer.
The only advice I got after 15-20 minutes was to check permissions on my computer, that this might be cause of it.
I put permission on my firewall to all adobe program I could find on my computer, turned off UAC doesn't work; tried firewall + spyware + antivirus to zero protection = doesn't work either.
I've read that been plugged into a router on a 2 computers network can cause problem. How ? I know Adobe Updater doesn't support proxy server.
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/331/331931.html
I tried puggin directly into modem and didn't change anything. I think maybe that my main computer might be blocking or filtering my internet connection or a setup in it: I don't know networking setup at all.
Maybe it's windows vista on my computer that has updated to something that would block my adobe updater.
Any suggestion ?
Thank you.

using Bridge CS5 to exporting to flickr, but get error message "Unable to connect to Flickr, please check your internet connection and try again." please help?
I'm experiencing the same problem. Don't think I can help, but maybe I can offer an explanation. It looks as if Flickr has changed their API and Adobe will need to update the export plugin to comply to get it working again. I found this announcement on Flickr:

"No Internet connection was found" when clicking on "updates"
I first downloaded the 30 trial version of Dreamweaver CS3,
after about 20 days I purchased the upgrade from DW8. I installed
the license. After I installed the license I wanted to make sure
that I was running with all patches installed, so I clicked on Help
-> Updates. After clicking the Updates option I receive a
message stating, " No Internet connection was found." I do not have
a firewall enabled on the system. I am able to connect to the
internet fine. I have no problems running Windows Updater and other
problem updaters. I do not know why I receive this error.
Help Please.
Rick>make sure that I was running with all patches

I click on DWCS3 Help - DW Help and it tells me the
help wasn't installed, please reinstall DW - so you have
a better version than me. It was my understanding that
Adobe pushes the updates for all adobe programs -

NETWORK ERROR. PLEASE CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION AND TRY AGAIN
I've been getting this message when I try and play some
games...Flash 9.0.115 is required to view this content. Your
current version is 9.0.47. Please download the latest Flash Player.
But every time and try and download it I get this error
message NETWORK ERROR. PLEASE CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION AND
TRY AGAIN.
I've tried changing settings but nothings working, can anyone
please help meI SOLVED IT!!!!! LATEST FLASH IS INSTALLED!!!!
Here's what I did:
Read the information in the service note about the ridiculously sensitive download manager (DM)
ID:
kb400530
It gives instructions about internet settings necessary for the DM to work on multiple browsers. I use IE 7. Some were really non-obvious, like windows need to have no constraints on size, position. Most have to do with security, Active X settings.
However even after I followed the directions, I got the same error message.
But I'd gotten the general idea of what the DM needed, and went back to my Internet Options, and made a couple of additional changes. I'm not sure which of these was responsible for the success, but I'm resetting them afterward anyway.
For all the settings in which they allowed Prompt or Enable, I chose ENABLE.
I set Enable (vs. Prompt) for Download signed Active X controls (not secure) - this prompts a security risk bar, which didn't interfere
I also:
Set ENABLE for Run components not signed with Authenticode
Set ENABLE for Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt
Set DISABLE for Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls
Set DISABLE for Automatice Prompting of ActiveX controls
Set DISABLE for Use Pop-Up Blocker
Set ENABLE for everything in under Scripting section
Anyway, you get the idea. I was trying to give the poor software every break I could, and it downloaded with no problem.
And then, the acid test.....I tried the site that had crashed because of lack of Flash 10 - and it tna perfectly....
Take that ADOBE!!!!
I hope something equivalent works for you. -

Adobe Updater flashes a message on my screen once a week that says "No Internet connection. Please check your Internet settings and/or firewall. Waiting for connection..." Everything else works perfectly on my Internet connection.
I'm experiencing a similar problem.
I have a MacBook Pro Late 2011. I was using Lion (not Mountain Lion) with CS3 with no problems. Recently I installed a new hard drive in my computer and used Time Machine to transfer all my files and settings (still with Lion; I did not try to open any Adobe applications at this point). Then I udpated to Mavericks. Upon trying to open one of the Adobe applications, it told me I needed to reinstall CS3. I inserted the original disc and followed the instructions on the ReadMe file. I went to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers > Add or Remove Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium. I did a reinstall, and at the end, it said that some of the components failed to install (see screenshot):
I did a partial install (not all CS3 applications), so there could have been more errors than this if all applications were installed. The applications themselves appear to work fine, but when I try to run the updater, it tells me I have no internet connection.

Acrobat updater works just fine [after I install the manual updates till 9.2.0].
Can you tell me where to find these manual updates? I looked on this page:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/collection.jsp?collID=1&platform=Macintosh
but I don't see 9.2.0 for any of the CS3 applications.
The CS3 that I purchased (Design Premium) came with Adobe Acrobat 8. I tried to manually install the 8.1.1 update. It said, "Please choose the copy of Adobe Acrobat Professional to update", but the application is grayed out (see below). I did not try to install any other manual updates, yet.
I'm not sure what to do here besides use my CS3 applications the way they are without updating them ever. (I would rather not subscribe to the Creative Cloud.) Any help will be appreciated. I might try doing a complete unintall followed by a fresh install. -
I get the following message when I go to "check for updates" on iTunes (I have XP on windows). Error message: "The iTunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your internet connection or try again later".
My firewall (both anti virus firewall and windows firewall, are set up to allow itunes programme to work) - I also have set both internet explorer and chrome to allow
apple website as an exception.
However, I still get the same error message... can anyone help?

While updating my iphone 4 to 5 I'm getting an error message 'connection is timed out. please check your internet settings' whereas my connection is very much active. Any suggestions!
Check to see if you anti-virus software running, that will at times interfere with the connection with the Apple server.

I keep getting this error message: "The itunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your internet connection, or try again later." and can not update my iOS from 4.3.2
I downloaded the Microsoft Autoruns package and ran it. There are no programs in the LSA Providers tab, and Apple's Bonjour is the only program in the Winsock Providers tab. I also did the "netsh winsock reset" and rebooted. It didn't fix the problem. Any more ideas?

Please check your internet connection or try again...
To whom it may concern:
I tried to redeem a Nokia music voucher, and it said that the pin is invalid.
I emailed Nokia support and they suggested I uninstall the OVI player, delete a few files and install it again.
After I have done it, when I click on the Music store tab in the player, it gives me the following error message:
We are sorry but the Music Store is cannot be accessed at this time. Please check your internet connection or try again later.
So at the moment I hace two problems: Firstly, I cannot access the music store. Secondly I do not know if I would be able to redeem my voucher.
If anyone can advise me on that.
Thank you very much. The only other thing that I can think of to try is to restart everything. Quit iTunes, reboot your PC, restart the iPad and then try again.
Here is an article about troubleshooting iPad updating issues. It could be some other security settings that you have that are blocking the update from proceeding. There are a number of things that are discussed in this support article. Check it out and see if there is anything in it that you can try.
