No Internet even when connected to the WiFi or 4G (iPhone)

Hi everyone,
I have been having an Internet-related problem on my iPhone 5S for a while now.
It started out with seemingly random Internet disconnection even when there is a perfectly good cellular (4G) or WiFi signal shown on my device. For instance, no emails or messages (like Whatsapp or iMessage) are being pushed to my device, or when I try to search something on the mobile browser, it shows that there is no Internet.
One thing I noticed is that when I do a search on a mobile browser, it seems to load for a long time (more than 10 seconds), only to return a 'No Internet' message.
The only resolve to this matter is to restart my device. I would get connected to Internet with no problems whatsoever (until I encounter the problem again).
I tried doing a reset of network settings, and also a reset of the entire settings. I even went on to do a restore as new (without restoring from a backup). This did not eradicate the problem.
I have already had several appointments at the Apple Genius Bar because of this problem. They didn't seem to know the cause of the problem, nor to resolve it; I got the device exchanged in the end. However the new device I obtained started having this problem as well.
Maybe this is another bug that iOS 8 has? I never had this problem before updating to iOS 8.
Thank you for reading and I hope that somebody has an answer to my problem.

No it's not a bug with ios8 I dont have this problem

    Hello ozzy9294,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.
    Best of luck,

EUREKA, I found the solution to my problem in a Discussion initiated by gingertodd on July 27, 2011 entitled "Safari in Lion hijacked by malware."  The solution was provided by Badunit who recommended force quitting Safari and then reopening it while holding down the Shift key.  It worked instantly, and I subsequently was able to open Safari normally by just clicking on its icon in the Dock.   THANK YOU BADUNIT!

  • My flat screen won't connect to the internet, even when I use the cord from my working iMac.

I have an old dome base flat screen running Tiger and a newer intel iMac running Snow Leopard. My newer model connects to the internet just fine and my old one did too, until recently. Both work off the same Comcast modem and one will connect and the old one won't, even when I take the cord from the new one and plug it into the old. I didn't make any changes to it so I don't know what the problem is. Any suggestions?

I think what happened is I had Hide My *** Proxy running and for some reason it won't let me get on line with it running, although it used to so I don't know what the deal with that is. On my other computer I can get on line with it running. Anyway, after I quit HMA I could get on line. Thanks for your reply. By the way, my other computer is not connected to a hub, but to the Comcast modem/wireless device that my other computer is connected to.

  • No Internet Even Though Connected to Home WiFi

I have a new 3GS iPhone and can connect to my wireless network at home, but get no internet on Safari on the iPhone. My Linksys wireless router shows the iPhone's ip address, all the settings on the iPhone seem correct. All other wireless devices can connect and use the internet. I have tried everything, resetting the router, forgetting the network on the iPhone and then re-setting it. Does anyone have an ideas? Again, I "get" the wireless icon on my homescreen, the home network is found and "checked" on the iPhone, but no connectivity to websites. Please help!>!>!>!>

Hmm, starting to sound like a Linksys issue. I peeked over here on the Linksys forum:
    http://forums.linksysbycisco.com/linksys/board/message?board.id=Wireless_Routers &message.id=105636&query.id=14016#M105636
and found a guy who said (emphasis mine)
    <quote>
I have a similar problem in that *I set up my Linksys WRT54G router with a static IP address*, which has two DNS addresses. I'm also using WPA2-AES. *If I switch my router back over to DHCP, my Iphone 3G and my original Iphone can both connect to the router and access the Internet. But, as soon as I switch the router back over to my static IP address, both Iphones can connect to the router, but neither can access the Internet.* I've given Linksys many opportunities to solve this problem; especially since I'm not the only one having this problem. But, I've finally thrown in the towel an moved on by purchasing a NETGEAR - RangeMax Next Wireless-N Router for $89.00. I plugged it in, popped in the CD, followed the setup instructions, and I was up and running in 10 minutes. And yes, both of my Iphones work just fine.

    Hope this helps.

  • My MacBook Pro, even when connected to the power chord, will turn on for a few seconds then shut back off. Any ideas on what is wrong?

I Am trying to turn on my MacBook Pro laptop, but when I do, it starts to turn on for a few seconds then shuts off again. It has around 80% charge and even if the power chord is connected it won't turn on. Need some help because I am out of the US right now and there are not a Mac store or anything that I could go to.

HAve you tried using a different power chord? If the power chord is not the issue, it could be the power supply inside your mac.

  • The screen backlight of my mbp 15 stays dim even when connected to the power source. Anyone else dealt with this problem?

It also seems that my sound can no longer be controlled by the keys on my keypad. Has anyone else experience this? I am running osx 10.6.8.

IF RESET DOESN'T WORK, FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTunes and plug (very important)
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note: Data will be lost

  • IPod Won't Power Up, Even When Connected to Mac

I'm trying to figure out if there's any chance this could just be the battery, or a more catastrophic failure (harddrive, etc.). The iPod will not power up, even when connected to the Mac, and will not mount as a removable drive either.
I've been having trouble with the battery for some time now (it will only hold a charge for about an hour, two tops) but I would think that even if the battery failed outright it would still work when plugged in (either to the wall, or to the Mac).
Does anyone know for certain if that is the case? I'd hate to waste any money sending this off to ipodresq.com for a battery if it's something more serious. (And this one is so old, if it is a harddrive failure or anything like that I'd be better served to buy a new one.
    G4 933 (Quicksilver)   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

Thanks for those links; I performed a hard reset and that seems to have brought the iPod back to life, at least for now. I suspect that the battery is no longer holding any significant charge and needs to be replaced, which might be why it locked up in the first place.
So now I get to decide if this 1st gen iPod is worth the money to replace the battery, or if I should just finally buy a new one. (I definitely do not want one of those rumored touchscreen models, though, if they turn out to be reality... impossible to navigate by touch alone while driving, and I have no use for video on an iPod - I want to watch video BIGGER, not smaller!)
    Thanks again!

  • Macbook Pro cannot connect to the internet even when others can

Hi! Please help me. We have an internet WIFI connection in our office but only my MacBook Pro cannot connect even when I entered the correct password. My Iphone and Ipad work just fine. It says "connection timeout" but all other laptops can connect. I tried network diagnostics already and it always say "connection timeout". I dont know what to do anymore.

Yes, and when I open the Network Utility it shows a working IP address, and a 54Mb/s speed from the wireless router. It even shows the shared computers from my roomates. But when I try to access the internet it does not load anything on Safari or Firefox ( or any other internet application for that matter). It is completely unconnected. YET, As soon as I activate the AirPort card on the top right where I have my signal strength, it shows on the Network Utility information that there are 'packages' being sent and received, and I have NO programs open what so ever, I have closed everything except finder and network utility... Does this mean I am being hacked, or have some sort of Trojan or something in my computer? I ran an antivirus that my school provided, called Virex by McAfee, it came out clean except it says it cannot read one file.
I tried repairing my disk, and that did not work either. I did the Ram reset like you suggested, but that also did not work. I doubt it being a hardware error. I am going to try to connect it to an ethernet cable to see if that will work. Then I will let you know what happens with that, but that would still not be a solution since I need it wireless, cause the router is in another part of the house.
Thank you for your help, and I hope we can get this sorted out.
