No internet on my Blackberry

I was told to call 88-294-6804 & the internet would work still not working please help me fix this...Why am I paying for something I can not use?

Not having internet is a big inconvenience. We would be glad to help. Have you tried removing the battery and retesting? Please make sure you also have a blackberry connection by doing the following.
Menu>options>advanced options>host routing table>press blackberry key next to trackball>register now.
Then check the browser to see if you can get internet.

  • Why do we want a cellular network with a special service plan to connect to the internet via a BlackBerry smartphone?

I always wondered why we need a cellular network with a special service plan to connect to the internet via a BlackBerry smartphone?  This problem is not occuring on smartphones of other brands. Can anyone please explain this to me?

    Hello,
The reason is that, with legacy (e.g., pre-BB10) devices, the device itself does not do all of the work to provide you with your services. Rather, there is infrastructure (BlackBerry Internet Service - BIS) hosted at the carriers/BlackBerry that provides linkages between your device and certain services. This includes, among many things, email...unlike non-BB smartphones, the BlackBerry on-device email client is not a "full" email client; it depends on BIS in order to provide the "push" email capability that BBs rely on.
This BIS infrastructure is unique to BlackBerry, and only services BB users. Hence, it costs extra for the carriers to provide services for BB users, and therefore they can demand from their BB users a higher cost dedicated service plan so as to enable those proprietary services for the BB users. (In some markets, there is no extra charge for BIS...but the requirement for BIS nevertheless remains in all markets for legacy BB users.)
So, this is not a "problem" per se...but rather a difference between BlackBerry devices/services and others. One could instead think of it as a "market discriminator", favoring BlackBerry (only for those who desire such, of course).
With BB10 (Z10, Q10, Q5), BIS has been eliminated btw.
    Good luck!

  • Sharing the internet from a blackberry via bluetooth?

    Hello,
I am very excited about getting a macbook pro tomorrow! I was wondering, can I share the internet from a blackberry via bluetooth? it is a 8700c blackberry.
also, how are the speakers in the macbook pro? (better than a 12" iBook?)
one last thing, I am switching from a 700MHz eMac with 512MB RAM. How much faster is the Macbook Pro than this eMac?
    Thanks,
    TheMacGuy12

last I read, it was not possible to tether from a blackberry.
I went the route of the motorola Q, and Treo 700p because of this limitation..
    *EDIT*
the $700 bounty to get this working was collected, but the person is charging $50 for the hack

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
You can get your APN settings from your network service provider, also make sure you have a BlackBerry data plan.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Getting connected to the internet with my blackberry 9360

Dear friend, I have blackberry 9360 with an airtel (Tamil nadu range,India)connection.I am able to get connected to other mobiles but my internet connection is difficult to obtain. It seems that blackberry has a different set of data charges for any blackberry to be connected to the internet. If so I kindly request you to let me know how this could be done.I have contacted the airtel people and they advised me many a times, all of which I tried and nothing worked.I would be obliged to you if you could enlighten me on this score. Thank you

  • Internet explorers for blackberry curve

are there any internet explorer upgrades or downloads available for the blackberry curve?

Blackberry Curve does not support Internet Explorer.
I know two browsers for Blackberry Curve.
    Pre-installed BB Browser.
    And OperaMini: http://www.operamini.com

  • My internet settings for blackberry curve

i have a blackberry curve 9520 i have been having internet problems so i contacted vodafone the man said try and reset your internet settings , the problem is i dont know how to do this can you help?

    Hello!!
And you let him get away with that? Really? You PAY them for your support, and they didn't provide it to you.
    My guess...
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then should contact your mobile service provider for formal support...and this time don't let them fob you off so easily.
    Good luck!

  • Internet using on Blackberry 9360 through wifi

    I have a blackberry 9360
Internet browsing is not possible without Blackberry enterprise plan
How to use internet and whatsapp and Blackberry messenger only through wifi ?
    Please Help

Some carriers require a BlackBerry data plan even to use the browser on wifi. I have seen where it even depends on the OS version as to whether the browser will work on wifi without a SIM installed. That sounds like your situation.
If you have paid for BIS, talk to your carrier and make sure it is setup properly on your line.

  • Get internet from my blackberry bold to my tungsten E2

Could somebody tell me if there is any way to pair my blackberry bold with my tungsten E2 to get on the web... send e-mails etc....  Palm does not have a phone link for blackberry .
    Thanks a lot
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

Hello Coaxial, Welcome to the Palm Community Forums!
AFAIK, there is no way to tether your E2 to a RIM device...  I've tried many times to use my wife's Pearl as a connection for my TX's (using AT&T).  The SonyEricssons I've had, Motorolas, and my Centro all work fine.
BlackBerry and LG are two phones that have little cooperation with PalmOS devices.

  • Playbook not connecting to Internet via blackberry bridge

I am the owner of the playbook and love it everything's great. I recommend it to a couple of people and they are having problems.  The biggest one and reason for my cry out today is, I talked my aunt into the blackberry tablet as opposed to the kindle fire, because she is the owner of a blackberry smartphone from AT&T.  I told her how my phone connects through the bridge to get the Internet on the go without wifi, and as soon as I helped her set up her tablet with the new software she can not get the Internet through the blackberry bridge.  When I connect my blackberry smartphone to my play book I can still access the Internet without wifi so I'm  thinking its the update which I haven't done yet mine yet.  Can someone please help me, my aunt is older and depending on me and I have no clue what happened!  Thanks

AT&T require you to pay for their Internet tethering bolt on in order to use the browser etc via bridge.

    Hi there,
Does your service provider (Telfort) provide BlackBerry service?  You need access to the BlackBerry Internet Service in order to access the internet on your BlackBerry.  This is also known as a BlackBerry Data Plan.
If Telfort does not provide BlackBerry service, then you will likely need to switch to Vodafone.
    I hope this helps!

  • Blackberry internet issues

I have been unable to connect to the internet on my Blackberry Curve all day. Have tried rebooting, unchecking and rechecking boxes in my connections. Any ideas? Is anyone else experiencing this now?

It sounds like a network problem, then. I would try the following:
Go to Options and type in "Host Routing Table" in the search bar. Click on Host Routing Table. In that list, hit the menu key and select "Register Now." That should push the proper service books to your device.
If that doesn't work I would contact Vodafone as it's possible they put you on the wrong data plan.
