No iPhone in iTunes with 10.5.2

Just installed 10.5.2. Installation was fine except my iPhone won't show up in iTunes (7.6). My iPod shows up in iTunes and when my iPhone is connected, it shows up in Image Capture.
I've tried rebooting, shutting down iPhone and turning on again, etc. Switched from Universal Dock back to original dock. Nothing helps.
Ideas?

Try creating a new login account in System press/Accounts. Then login with that and test.

How do you get voice memos from iphone onto itunes with MANUAL sync?

Ok, the iphone voice record function... I can't get the voice memos onto itunes or my computer. I don't use the autosync function, I like to manage my music and such manually.
I cannot find a way to manually access the voice memos on my iphone through itunes. Many of them are too large to email so I'm stuck.
The only option seems to be auto-sync, and if I do turn on the sync function at this point, itunes will completely erase my iphone and the voice memos I've recorded on it. Kind of defeats the purpose.
Any tips?
I've looked at a lot of posts and haven't found anything to help here. Just a bunch of posts complaining about how bad the voice recorder feature is integrated into the new iphone 3.0 software.

I have the same desire as OP, but yet I do not see my voice memos automatically syncing when I have manual sync selected. I also do not see a playlist folder or anything that indicates voice memos have transferred. Am I missing something? Is there no way to get voice memos onto the computer without having to autosync it?
If someone can provide more details on how to do this, that'd be great. But it seems at this point that I cannot get voice memos onto my computer through iTunes with manual sync on.

Syncing Apps from iPhone to iTunes with folder grouping

Hi,
I have close to 200 apps on my iPhone structured into approx 50 folders.
These apps are downloaded firectly from iTunes (via wifi).
Now, i want to sync them to my PC via iTunes.
I used the option "Transfer purchases" for that.
But the folder are not synced.
If choose Sync App options, i am afraid i will loose all my folders and it will really time consuming to create them again.
How can get my folders and Apps from iPhone to iTunes ?

Apps are transferred automatically (most of the time, that is!) during the backup that runs prior to the sync (unless you've disabled backup)
If you are syncing your apps, you will see (in the app sync pane) a visual representative of your phone, all pages, and that includes the folders. You will not lose any of them.
Like ChrisJ4203 says, you need to be syncing to the same iTunes library as your Apple ID on your phone, and that iTunes library must be authorized by you.

My hard drive crashed on my mac book pro and I had to replace it with a new one. I'm trying to get new music onto my iphone that I purchased thru Itunes, but it is saying that only one computer can be used. This is the only computer that I used for the library, but now there is a new hard drive in it. Obviously I do not want to lose the music on my iphone and I'm curious how or if I can get around the message saying that if I want to sync to a new computer that it will erase the prior library. Please advice because I would like to update my iphone as soon as possible.

My iPhone has a broken display screen and I can't connect with my iTunes because it says I have to log into my phone. I can't log into my phone because it is not working. I tried pressing the home button and then acting out the motions of entering my password, but nothing is happening. I have my replacement phone and I'm trying to reset my broken phone, but I can''t do that until I log into iTunes. If someone can advise me on what to do, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. The best option would be to create separate user account on the computer that you separately use to sync with. This keeps contact and calendar data from being merged together. You can however still sync or share media with each user by following the steps in the second article below.

Having trouble pairing my iPhone and iTunes with Remote.

So, I know that these are to the ways to use Remote. When trying to pair with an iTunes library, steps 1 and 2 work but when I open iTunes on my computer, the Remote button does not appear. When trying to pair using Home Sharking, steps 1-4 work but my library does not show up for me to select. I am using an iPhone 5S and MacBook Pro, both with the most current versions of iTunes.

My wife and I each have our own computers using the same iTunes and Amazon account. I want to know how the download rules work...

I know that Kindle books appear on both.
I know that you can share music between 5 (?) different devices. Can't remember how that is done right now...
It appears that an app bought on one computer or iPhone must be paid for again on the other. True?

You can also use home sharing so as to share your content between computers or to listen/watch content on your iOS devices : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3819 (you can also copy music between computers via home sharing)
As long as you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy/download them then you don't have to pay to re-download (or download on different computers/devices) past purchases of apps or ibooks (or music if you are in the USA) as long as they are still available in the store : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.
You can also manually copy music/apps/ibooks/films/tv shows between computers and then do File > Add File To Library (or Add Fold) in iTunes so as to add them.

Cannot sync my iphone from itunes with app got from apple store

Hello everyone, I wonder if someone can help me...
I dwonloaded a free app from the apple store.
My computer is authorized to do thisbut it keep on saying that it's not authorized and in order to transfer the app to the iphone I have to authorize it. Which I do and then I get the window with something like "with this computer you have 2 computers authorized". But when I try and sync the app, it comes again "your computer is not authorized.....".
One minute it's authorized and the next minute it's not...
I also followed the website instructions deauthorizing several times and in the end authorise it.
The computer - even when it says it's authorised - can't seam to sync the application...
Anyone????
