No ITV Player?

I have just received my youview box, it all seems to be working except there is no ITV Player in the on demand section, I have BBC iplayer, 4oD, 5 on demand, Now TV, Milkshake, and BT Vision. Can anyone help?

Mine's not working either. I've got all the others (including SKY NOW) and a reset / update has proven fruitless. ITV's YouView/ITV Player FAQ page doesn't appear to be working as there's no active link. Any ideas?

Which web browser are you using - Safari? You could try Google Chrome which has Flash built-in.
Another thought, and I don't know whether this applies, but does ITV Player need Microsoft Silverlight to work, perhaps? Check your Applications or Utilities to see if it is installed and whether it needs updating.
It's been a while since I've used any of the UK catch-up services, but I seem to rembember one of the channels needed Silverlight installed. If you have an out-of-date version it's possbile that OS X could block that.

I cannot use ITV player, it says I need to turn off ad blocking - how do I do this? It only began after latest update of Firefox installed.

I have tried to watch programmes on ITV player, which I have successfully done in the past, but now it tells me it cannot find the video and that I need to turn off ad blocking on my computer. I went into options, but could not find anything about ad blocking. I added www.itv.com to the exceptions list for pop up windows, but this has not helped. The problem only began after the latest update of Firefox was installed. I have never had any problem before. How can I get ITV player back, please.

BBC iPlayer and ITV Player are both apps in the App Store.
You can also watch about 50 channels of live TV (including all BBC and ITV channels) if you point Safari at "TvCatchup".
Tell "somebody" that Flash is not required.

Try the basic troubleshooting tips and see if any of these help with the freezing issue.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit the apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. If you are watching the YouTube videos on Safari - this may help as well. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data (orCache in iOS 4.3.5). Restart the iPad. I have an iPad mini and a 2nd gen Apple tv -which works fine with Airplay--and whilst i can get BBC Iplayer and 4OD , it only works with audio for ITV player and Demand 5. What am I doing wrong

I have a new iPad mini and can successfully use airplay with my 2nd generation Apple tv . BBC Iplayer is fine --as is 4OD, but ITV player only works in audio format--and Demand 5 does not work at all. I am pretty sure both the latter are compatible--so what can i do to fix this and what am i currently doing wrong?

Someone recently noted a problem staying logged on the Huffington Post since it became connected with AOL. The workaround for that is to change your connection setting here:

Click the "Settings" button and choose either "No Proxy" or "Use System Settings" option, and OK the change.
Not sure whether Washington Post could be affected by that same setting.
In reviewing your extensions, I'm puzzled that you have both DoNotTrackMe and SavvyConnect. The first one seems to aggressively block certain communications with websites (potentially affecting functionality) while the second one seems to report on your browsing habits (they better pay well is all I can say). Have you tried disabling both of those to see whether that has any effect?

You can't directly, you can watch them via AirPlay from your iOS device or Mac Computer though.

Anyone else struggling with ITV Player via the new...

Started using the ITV Player at the weekend, having had the new box for a few days. The quality is terrible - picture stopping and starting, sound dropping, etc. I've tried it on two evenings, and the same results both time, across a sample of programmes.
I spent ten minutes sampling programmes from the other catch up services, and they all seemed to play fine, so it *seems* like its just the ITV service I sturggle with.
Anyone else have similar issues or could test to see if they have the same?

There have been a few reports over on the Youview Community forum with regards the ITV player.
Not tried the ITV player yet but had problems trying to access the on demand players, kept getting error code YVM104 have to turn the box off at the back to rectify the problem, 4OD player then started buffering and stopped stating that my connection was not fast enough ( I have BT Infinity 62.72mb) or there was a problem with their servers?
Since delivery of the BT Humax Box Friday 12th October the Humax Box as froze twice!!

I Have iPad Air 32gb of ios7 . In the App Store I am finding no itv player application. Itv.com though giving a link to download the itv player for iOS devices. When I am clicking the above said link to download the player a blank page is appearing in App Store page. Asking your advice in this regard.

What country are you in ? It's here in the UK store, but you would need to be in here in the UK with a UK billing address on your account to be able to download it - if you are here in the UK and you can't find it then do you have an app age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it (it's rated 17+)

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

HI, I have an iPad IOS7 and unable to find itv player in Apps or download from itv.com homepage. I am using a UK VPN with no issues for BBC I player. Have checked my Apple profile which has a UK address. Have a Mac Pro and no issues using itv player/VPN. Any help much appreciated

You have to be in the UK store in order to purchase the app. You also have to have a credit card which is tied to a physical address in the UK. Assuming that you meet that criteria, my guess is that you are not logged into the UK App Store.
Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID
Tap your ID
Tap View Apple ID
Enter your password
Go to country/region in the popup window to change the store

I want to download the app for itv player but i dont know how, can someone help me please?

I am also trying to get this to work on my Passport (to watch the TdF of course!) I am trying to download the ITV player app for android from Google, but it is stuck because my phone isnt associated with Google play, or something like that - and no clear way to resolve this. ( Is it me or is the whole Google thing needlessly, annoyingly, complex and precious.) Would be keen to find a way round this too..

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If this doesn't work backup and restore your iPad using iTunes. Something must have been corrupted in your update process.
