looks like a fake entry, (region concatenated with postal code and 01)
the correct jurisdiction is 4103513271

Obrigado!
Eduardo HartmannOlá Eduardo,
Por favor, olhe a SAP Note:
1415059 - One-time partner jurisdiction code field always mandatory
É uma nota do fim do ano passado que fala sobre este tipo de incidente. Ela tem alguns passos manuais para serem realizados antes de aplicar o código.
Abraço!

Hi Experts,
When we post Inbound Invoice IDocs, we are getting an error message "Enter a tax jurisdiction code". As checked, we have configured OBCD and OBCA for the vendor and we are passing the Tax Jurisdiction code in E1EDP04 SAL segment. Can anybody give us some idea to resolve this issue.

While doing MIRO i am getting an error: Enter a tax jurisdiction code
Hi,
While doing a MIRO, i am getting an error :
Enter a tax jurisdiction code
Message no. M8757
How to Resolve
PratikHi
Try this
1.To enter the tax amounts of the G/L account items, choose Extras ® Tax amounts. The Tax Amounts screen appears.
You can branch to this screen at any point during document entry.
The Tax Amounts screen shows the tax amount, tax code, posting key, tax base amount, and jurisdiction code for all the items already entered. When you call up this screen after entering the G/L account items, it displays the amounts that have already been entered.
2.You can now choose how you want to enter the taxes.
The tax jurisdiction codes represent the different taxing authorities to which you submit payment for taxes EG: the state, county, city etc.
In SAP you can have as many as 4 levels. Configuration is done in 2 steps :
First step :
The tax jurisdiction structure (structure of the tax code) is set up with following menu path :
IMG >Financial accounting> Fi Accounting basic settings> tax on sales/purchases > basic settings > specify structure for tax jurisdiction code.
Alternatively you can use t-code OBCO
This step allows you the enter the character length of your various level of hierarchy within your tax jurisdiction code structure (State 2 char, county 3, city 4, etc...).
Second step:
You configure the tax jurisdiction code using the structure defined earlier, menu path :
IMG >Financial accounting> Fi Accounting basic settings> tax on sales/purchases > basic settings > define tax jurisdiction codes.
Alternatively t-code OBCP
Define your tax jurisdiction codes, EG GA0000000 for Georgia, GA001000 for Georgia, douglas county, GA001001 for georgia, douglas county, city of lithia springs. -
Tax jurisdiction code creates a difference when posting invoice with PO ref
I have added a tax jurisdiction code since the client wants to be able to sort taxes by location. The problem now is that, I have posted a PO with a tax jurisdiction code but upon posting the invoice with reference to this PO, there's an error saying that there still exists a balance even though the balance on the screen is zero. Any ideas on how this can be solved?
Hi ,
Can you please tell us how you resolved? We do facing the same problem.
Thanks

Tax Conditions for Sales and Distribution using Jurisdiction Code in Canada
Hello everyone,
I would like to share with you a doubt relating taxes for Sales and Distribution in Canada.
The Tax conditions for Sales and Distribution in Canada are the CTX1 (GST - Canada), CTX2 (PST - Canada) and CTX3 (Base + GST). These are the Tax Conditions which appear when creating a Material or a Client for the Canada Region, and are also the ones included in the Canada Standandard Pricing Procedure.
I tried to apply the standard method of creating a Master Record for these conditions, but an error relating the Jurisdiction Code came out while releasing to accounting.
Does anyone one how to procceed? Which are the important issues with Finance Accounting to take in to account?
I would really appreciate any comment relating this issue.
Thank you very much in advanced.
VíctorDear Mr. Lakshmipathi,
In first place, thank you very much for your quick response.
I have tried many different procedures to get the aim, and among others, a new access sequence was created to allow the introduction of the Jurisdiction Code (UTXJ is not available for Sales Conditions) but once the Condition is created, it is not recognized when creating the Order ("pricing error: Mandatory condition CTX is missing"). Maybe it has something to do with the fact that these conditions are not included in the Finance Accounting Tax Procedure, where the conditions, which represent the same taxes but with different condition names, are defined for a certain Tax Code and Jurisdiction code.
Among the different SAP notes for the error relating the Jurisdiction code, there was one proposing to change the Condition Category from "D" (Taxes) to a value between "1 and 4". By doing this a new error appears while creating the order, saying that there are conditions in the Tax procedure (JRC1, JRC2)which are not included in the Sales Pricing procedure. By including this conditions in the Pricing procedure, the Tax Conditions existing in the Finance Accounting Tax Procedure are brought to the Order Conditions, in addition to the Sales Tax Conditions. And there is something more, each Tax Condition from the Finance Accounting Procedure appears twice, one with the application V (Sales) with value zero, and one with application TX (Taxes) with the value existing in the Finance Accounting Taxes Procedure. This is how at the end, the corresponding %value of the taxes is brought to the Invoice with the correct Tax Code, and the proper Jurisdiction Code, which is different for each condition.
Thank you very much for your time.

How to Bypass Tax Jurisdiction Code while Posting FI Document
Hello All,
I have a requirement where I can enter Tax code along with Tax Jurisdiction for some of the cases while Posting FI Document using T code s FB01.. etc.
However for one scenario I need to BY pass the Tax Jurisdiction while posting FI Document . How to achieve this.
As per SAP once we define Tax Jurisdiction it is mandatory to enter as Input to Post the document.
But I need to control this Tax Jurisdiction as I dont want to enter while posting FI Document. It should not prompt for Tax Jurisdiction .
How to make an option field in this case (Based on Company code and Tax code combination).
Any BADI / User exit/BTE to Ignore the Error message Enter Tax Jurisdiction code).
Please help me as soon as possible.
Thanks. My Query is , when am posting a document in FB01 Transaction , when I enter Tax code at line item level, Tax jurisdiction is mandatory if we dont enter it give an error saying that ' Please enter a Tax Jurisdiction' .
My requirement is I would like to bypass that error without entering Tax jurisdiction I would like to proceed by providing default Tax Jurisdiction through any userexit/BADI/BTE. so that I will not get that error .
So any USER-EXIT/BTE/BADI is there which will trigger before the error(maintain tax jurisdiction ) at line Item leve ?????
I hope now requirement is clear. -

Tax Jurisdiction Code Check as part of a Sales Order Partner Function
Hi,
I have a scenario where we modify partner information directly in the sales order. These partners are simple addresses and are not tax relevant. We have set them up as one-time customers. Every time when we modify the address information, Vertex kicks in and tries to match the address information (street, city and state) with a tax jurisdiction code. In our case the address information is high level (only city and state) which is not enough for Vertex. SAP issues then a blocking error message.
We try to find a way to ignore Vertex for these specific partners. In the documentation we have found a user exit, as well as a BADI, but our developpers were not able to make it work in the sales oder.
The user-exit is the following: EXIT_SAPLFYTX_USER_001
The BADI is the following: IF_EX_ADDRESS_SUBSCREEN
In EXIT_SAPLFYTX_USER_001, I've found a parameter (EXEMP_IND) which could enable to bypass the tax jurisdiction code check and the RFC call to Vertex.
In IF_EX_ADDRESS_SUBSCREEN, I've found a parameter (CHECK_ADDRESS) which could potentially bypass the check as well.
Did any of you already experience this scenario or would you have an idea about how I could make this work?
Thanks
LoicUnfortunately, the sales order is created through an interface (using iDOCs), and the external system feeding the iDOC for the sales order creation does not have any Zip Code information. Besides, even if the Zip Code is entered, it is still not enough for Vertex to choose automatically a Tax Jurisdiction Code, most of the times, it is also requiring a District, which again, will not be passed from the interface.
We went through this analysis already and we came to the conclusion that we need to bypass this check, as this partner function is not tax relevant.
Thanks,
Loic

Error during SC creation - Jurisdiction code could not be determined
Hi All,
For testing purpose , I have set up one user id. While creating SC with that ID, I am getting one error, it says "Jurisdiction code could not be determined ".
Plant , company code everything enetred in the SC is perfect.
On another hand, I can create SC with my id without any error..
Attibutes are identical of both the user ids.
Can someone help me to know the reason for this particular case
Regards,
SheetalHi
Jurisdiction code is determined based on Ship to Address data of the shopping cart and the country code. Pl check if the ship to address in the shopping cart is correct. It might be missing mandatory informations like Postal code, city, District.

Error "Jurisdiction code could not be determined" in so create bapi
I am using the bapi "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1" for creating the sales order,
it gives the error "Jurisdiction code could not be determined" Sometimes there are two juridiction code maintained in the system .
1) During the ship to party address change at sales order , city , country and postal code fields determine the Juridiction codes. Sometimes there are two juridiction code maintained in the system for one city and in such cases BAPI fails to create an order.
2)When the ship to party is foreign country then we do not need Juridiction code in sales order. In such cases also the BAPI fails to create sales orders and writes an error log , saying juridition code could not be determined.
Proposed Soltuion.
We have to modify the BAPI to force the values of ship to address as it is from the text file without exiting the sales order creation.
Thank You,
Ganeshhi ,
u need to give the right postal address. If it is then it won't give the warning message.

Tax code does not exist for jurisdiction code in creating purchase order
Hello Experts,
After doing a technical upgrade from 4.6 C to ECC EHP 4 , while creating a PO , we are facing an error that
"Tax code A0 does not exist for jurisdiction code 4318702801". for one plant .
But in 4.6C, there is no problem with the field jurisdiction code in Invoice tab at the PO item level data. it allowed to create PO even with out entering jurisdiction code .
we have assigned jurisdiction code to the particular plant through config settings in T code OX10.And also we have verified the G/L account properties for the material used in creaton of PO. it will allow all tax codes.
But still we are facing the same error.
Please suggest where to establish linkgae betweeen Tax code and jurisdiction code at customize / config level.
it is very high priority issue . please suggest
regards,
TulasiHi,
As tax jurisdiction code is assigned to your plant on OX10 t.code and cross check Tax code declared as input tax & assigned to company code in t.code: OBCL with tjurisdiction code.
Now double cross check Tax code created (FTXP)for your country with jurisdiction code.
Also check table A003 for entry of tax code and company code.
