No keyboard shortcut possible for auto exposure?

I wanted to use the command editor to add a keyboard shortcut for auto exposure, but did not see anything for auto exposure in the list of available commands:
that seems an unfortunate design decision...
or am I missing something: is it possible to make a keyboard shortcut for this?
(Ditto for the 2 auto levels commands)
Regards, Strathglass

I too found the Auto Exposure useless at first, however once you start to understand how it works, it's a real timesaver.
I've found that it works quite similar to the AE in a camera. In otherwords, it's easily tricked by lots of black or lots of white; in such case you're better off setting it manually (just like you'd compensate in a camera).
Where the AE function really comes in useful is to shift (center?) the histogram for the average image. This is quite important for many adjustments such as Contrast which behaves differently at various exposures. AE usually gets the image into the ballpark for consistent results when using adjustments.

  • Keyboard shortcuts sheet for After Effects CC

    Hi,
Has anyone got a keyboard shortcuts sheet (single page) for After Effects CC?
Also, any custom keyboards for CC available?
I have seen keyboard shortcuts sheet for older versions of AE and keyboards for older version.

There are nearly 900 keyboard shortcuts for After Effects. They can't all possibly fit on a single page.
The PDF version of the Help document that Hans points to has all of the shortcuts in a single reference section. You can get to the HTML version of the same content using the Help > Keyboard Shortcuts command in After Effects.

  • Override Keyboard Shortcuts - Possible?

PS CS3 on Win Vista 64, here, with a problem renaming objects in Bridge.
Is it possible to override the "Return to Adobe Photoshop" keyboard shortcut command Ctrl+Alt+O? I write most of my file names in the Hawaiian language, which includes the letter "o" with a macron (ō), generated on the standard Hawaiian Unicode keyboard with keystroke (Right)Alt+O. No problem in any other application, but the (Right)Alt+O combination in Bridge opens Photoshop instead of producing the letter I need in the file name. Since I have no other way of writing correct file names but I do have other ways of toggling between Bridge and Photoshop, I want to delete or override the "Return to Adobe Photoshop" shortcut command.
Is this possible? Any ideas as to how? FAQ & KB searches have come up with nothing so far.

Tried that before I posted here, though I appreciate the suggestion. I have already customised many shortcuts in Photoshop, but the specific shortcut I'm concerned with here is not one of those that can normally be modified by the user. It seems to be imbedded only in Bridge, which has no user interface for shortcut management. I guess what I'm looking for is a hack.
    Anybody else?

  • Acrobat 7.1.4 are actions or keyboard shortcuts possible?

    Acrobat 7.0  (7.1.4) Standard.
Is it possible to change/assign keyboard shortcuts in Acrobat 7 (like one might in photoshop or illustrator)?
    Or...
Is there any action/macro recording options?
I want to save myself a little effort.  I typically add a coversheet to a proof then go to the security page and add a password.
What I'd like to be able to do is hit a key to insert the coversheet, then go to the Document Properity Security tab.

    Nope.
Track patching in Premiere via keyboard is decidely undercooked. The more people that request it as a feature the more likely it is to be implemented. Please submit a feature request, I know I have:

  • Changing the safari keyboard shortcuts possible?

So I was wondering if anyone knew a way to change the shortcuts on the keyboard for Safari, specifically I would like to change the "Command-R" function which reloads the page to "F5". I have gone throught the whole keyboard shortcuts tab in system prefs (System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts) and added the safari menu command and my shortcut I wanted to add yada yada yada and nothing ever works no matter how many times I try or what I change. I am not sure whether or not the fact that I am the Apple Wireless keyboard has anything to do with this but I doubt it does. Any ideas?

    Hi
I had to quit safari & reopen before it worked, but yes, it does work with F5.
Did you choose Safari from the applications list in sys prefs-keyboard & mouse-keyboard shortcuts?
then type Reload Page ( including the capital letters ) ? in the Menu Title box?
    then leave keyboard prefs?
Let us know how you get on

  • Keyboard shortcut list for ColdFusion Builder

I really liked the keyboard shortcuts in Builder 2.0, it helps me improve my productivity. But, there are times when I forget the keyboard shortcut and I will have to go to the preference page to learn the shortcut. Is there a document that can list all the keyboard shortcuts. I just want to print them and keep it handy. Any help?

  • Single keyboard shortcut needed for doing the Mail PDF

I very frequently e-mail Word files (using Apple Mail) as PDFs. However, it takes two long steps (Print Command and pulldown to Mail PDF command). I want to have one single keyboard shortcut for doing the Mail PDF.workflow command from within Word and not have to use the mouse at all. Any ideas?

Maybe you can script it with AppleScript Editor (in Applications)? I'm no AppleScript guru, but since you did not get any other response, I thought I'd mention it.
Get to the point where you want to use your keyboard command. Hit Record in AppleScript editor. If those actions are scriptable (not everything is), they will show up in the window. Hit Stop when you are done. You should be able to save the script as an application.

  • Keyboard shortcuts list for CP5.5

    Is there one?
And I mean a full one that includes all keyboard shortcuts?
Or, if there are many different ones, which one is best in your opinion?
    Regards

    Col,
There is a pretty exhaustive list in the help. I added a comment pointing to one of my blog posts with more shortcuts for moving and resizing.
One of the problems with a 'complete' list is that it has to take into account that there are AZERTY as well as QWERTY keyboards, and then there is the Apple keyboard...

  • Compensating for auto exposure

Hello: I'm trying to fix a production blunder in post...I shot a scene with actors approaching camera & as they reached close-up, the auto-exposure changed the brightness (I forgot to lock the exposure.)  So I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to have the brightness filter sort of "fade" during the course of the shot to end up balancing the brightness from the beginning of shot to the end of the shot.  Currently, the shot begins darker, and as the subjects reach close-up, the entire scene gets brighter.
Thanks in advance for any advice...Mark

You can keyframe changes to the filter's settings over the duration of the clip.
