NO LANGUAGE Field in DATASOURCE

I dont have any Language Field in 0VENDOR_TEXT Datasource(Checked in RSA5) .So how do i add them Language field to the datasource??Would appreciate ur help at this time..

as far as i know vendor master data is language indepenent. so why would you need a language dependent extraction.
if you need it to have the language of the vendor as infoobject just enhance the structure and use the user exit to fill this field from table lfa1

I had problem with 0ehs_actn_text data source. when i'm trying to pull data to BW it's saying language field is not maintained in the source system.
I check the datasource there is no language field in the extract structure. and No fileds are checked for slection. I found one field REFOBJ checked in the data selection tab of datasource. But the data not coming to BW side.
could anyone help.

Check in rsa6 TXTLG field should be there and it should not be checked in HideField Tab.. then only the data will populate to BW..
So make the things properly and once again replicate the data source in Bw side.. load the data..
other wise if u dont wanto the language field in Bw side goto infoobject maintanance uncheck the "TExt Language dependent" option in masterdata/texts Tab.. save and activate it.. load the data..

Select the language field in the source system ?

Hi,
when I schedule the load for 0cust_sales_text there popups the message 'Select the language field in the source system -> Long text'.
Long text says: 'Either no language field is selected as a selection field in the source system KC1CL005 in DataSource 0CUST_SALES_TEXT, or the language field is not assigned to InfoObject 0LANGU in BW.'
In the DataSource there is not an object for language? I don't know what to do.

the psa tells me, which records are marked as error, but i don't understand it.

Language Dependent Text datasource

I have a language dependent generic text datasource mapped to my language dependent infoobject in BW. In my source system, I have 68 records; 34 English and 34 French. I am only pulling 34 English records to BW but not the 34 French records. In my extractor checker (RSA3), I pull all the 68 records. Any reason why I am not pulling all the records from the text table. To reiterate, I have the flag "Texts language dependent" checked in my text infoobject. What is the reason why I am only pulling 34 English records and NOT all the 68 records?

1. Check the selections at the Infopackage level whether you are pulling only EN or there is no selection at the language field... in the data selection tab.
2. Check whether your system is unicode or not? Use RSCPINST program to check the same and also check French language is already installed in your system.. Execute the program, you can see the installed languages in left side and and uniode (*or non unicode at right side).
3. Also check the program in R/3 system and based on that we can conclude the next step...

Error in creating InfoPackage "Assign a language field to IOBJ 0LANGU"

Hi Guys,
Im having a problem in B.I using tcode rsa1old .Upon creation of InfoPackage for IX_MAT_TEXT which is material name an error occur.
"Assign a language field to IOBJ 0LANGU; danger of short dump" . But when I create a IX_MAT_ATTR, no problem encountered.
How can I solve this? all are activated...

Hi,
Please find the steps below:
1. Open the transfer rule and if it is language dependent then map it with appropriate field by selecting the language field and the field to be mapped and using arrow to map.
2. If it is not language dependent and you want to add EN as constant as mentione by Shashank above then, click on the "X" sign next to the field and once a pop up comes select the option "Constant" and there you add the value EN. save and re-activate the Info Source. It will work.

hi praveen,
when u create the transformation for the DSO, it asks for the source. in that you enter your datasource, then you get the datasource fields on one side and the rules in the middle and the DSO objects on the other side. whichever field of DataSource you want to refer in tranformation rule, just connect that field to the rule for the required object of the DSO.

Grey Out Language Field

Dear All,
Is there a way to grey out (disable) the language field in SAPGUI?
I don't want users to choose there language. I want them to connect whith the language I have set by default for them.

Enable Selection field in datasource

Hello All,
I need to make a selection in InfoPackage for making Initialization of Datasource.
When i checked in InfoPackage under data selection tab,i could nt able to see any selection Field
i checked the datasource from which this IP is created and found that "Selection check box is not active for all fields in Datasource"
I tried editing the datasource so that I can enable the check box but i could see its in Greyed.
Could anyone suggest how to enable it

Use the following piece of code the selection will be invoked for the field
Select * FROM ROOSFIELD INTO table it_roos
              WHERE OLTPSOURCE EQ '9ademcrt'
              AND FIELD EQ <your field name>

   <lt_roos>-selection = 'X'
   <lt_roos>-selopts = '1'

UPDATE ROOSFIELD FROM table it_roos.
Create a ABAP program in the source system APO in your case and use the above coding

Language Field Error

HI all,
While creating an Account in CRM 7.0 , we are facing an error" enter a value for field language according to ISO 639 ".
There are many language fields , i filled all but still...same error.

Can you please suggest how did you reoslve this issue. I am facing same issue while creating Contacts. WEB UI screen is not changed and it's same as deliverd from SAP. When I try to add language "EN" for Contacts I get an error" enter a value for field language according to ISO 639 ".
I havn't tried to change the standard screen config by activating another langaue key for contacts.Do I need to add user parameter for language.

Making language field as optional in web UI

Hi guys,
I m having a situation that in the contact details of a indirect customer there is a field called Language,In sap r/3 while
maintaining the data for that field it is mandatory but in Web UI also it is showing as mandatory field,while editing the data and saving then it is showing a error message to maintain the data in the language field but the requirement is it souldn't be mandatory.
i checked in the properties of the field in the configuration tab i.e whether the mandatory checkbox is checked or not. but it is already unchecked.
comp- BP_CONT, View - BP_CONT/ContactDetails, Cnode- HEADER, Attribute-
struct.correspondinglang

Hide fields in datasource....

Hi,
In the datasource 2LIS_02_ITM , I have 2 hided fields.
when I check the Extract Structure , these fields are part of
INCLUDE and not Append Structure.
In order to get the data for these fields do I need to write the
ABAP code.
Or just unhiding them would be enough??
Any suggestion/documentation link would be helpful.

here i am giving the steps to enhance the datasource.
1. go to-> RSA6 selece ur datasource & click on the push button enhance extract structure
2. the system will propose a extract structure name which will prifix with ZA accept it
3. in the next screen enter the field name & componant type, make sure that the field name will start with ZZ.
4. save the structure & activate it.
5. now again go to RSA6
6. select the data source & say change. scroll to the bottom thr u will find ur field, by default hide option is selected, remove it flag the appropreate option & save it.
Up to here we added the field successfully.
Now we need to populate the field with data.
this needs the ABAP programme.
Sap provides sap enhancement RSAP0001.
You need to provide following information to ur ABAP colegue.
Datasource name
Extractstructure name
field name
table name
Infosource name.
He will write the functionmodule.

Wanting to Create DSO with fields in Datasource

If I want to use most of the fields in a DataSource to create a DSO, what are the steps needed. Instead of inputing each object in DSO manually, I want to drag fields in DSO OR create DSO using copy function.
Is there a way to create Infoset from a DataSource? Or any other easier way?

Hi Zain,
I don't think we have any such option for dragging & dropping the IO's to DSO.
If it is a standard Datsource & if any standard DSO is available for the same, then you can create a copy of the standard DSO to create a customized DSO. And then you can make changes to the customized DSO.
Is there a way to create Infoset from a DataSource? Or any other easier way
No you can create Infoset only on Master data IO, DSO or a Cube.

Unable to select a field in Datasource screen

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to change a datasource by including another field (by checking the selection field) but am unable to do it as its disabled. however the hide field can be editable and is unselected at the moment.
How can i enable the selection box for this field and check it?

Thanks for your quick reply.
I have checked the field and it hasnt got any value in the SELECTION field (its just blank). Some of the other fields have got 'X'.
The OBJVERS for this particular field is A. However there is another occurance of the same field with OBJVERS as D.
Anymore suggestions as to how i can enable and select this field in my Datasource.
