No Library templates in Encore

I am using Encore for the first time with my new movie edited in Premiere. All tutorials show that when you create a new project and import a new timeline (which I have done without a problem) there are many templates in the Library tab for backgrounds, menus, buttons, etc. I have no templates at all. When I click on Sets drop down menu in the Library, it says General, but nothing else, and when I select General there are no templates. ??? Again, in the tutorials, they show many templates from the very start, even before media is imported for the DVD.

First, Encore has a forum at http://forums.adobe.com/community/encore/content - I will move this message
Second, go to the bottom section at the next link for how to use Premiere Pro CC with Encore CS6... including the TWO extra downloads to populate Encore CS6

I just want the DVD templates and buttons that would come with actual purchase of Encore.  Having creative cloud subscription should not limit this for me, right?

  • No Library templates in CS5

I have the Production Premium suite installed
But Encore shows no library templates.
I put in the installation disk again, but it said that everything for Encore is installed.
How do I get to see the templates?
    Thanks, Linda

    OK, problem solved.
In case someone else searches for the same problem:
I inserted the first disc of Production Premium.
It said that all components of all programmes had already been installed.
However, I was still able to select JUST on the Encore title, and select all it's components.
This reinstalled Encore from scratch, and also, I think, Bridge and Media Player (but didn't overwrite my existing settings)
Adobe updates then did around 1gb of updating (though I think some of that was just coincidentally updates from this week)
After the updates were complete, I was able to run Encore, and see the library.
Out of interest, first time I tried installing, I only selected the library within the Encore section. This didn't solve the problem.
Thank you very much to everyone who took the time to help me work this out.

  • PreE Templates to Encore

Does anyone have a step by step tutorial on how to "transfer", for lack of a better word, PrE Menu Sets. Converting those and even cleaning them up for use in Encore....
    Thanks!
I have PreE 8, and now Master Collection cs5......

Thank you SO VERY MUCH!! this is exactly what I meant, and I needed!

    Subject: PreE Templates to Encore
PrE Menu Sets are but PSD files, however, they have slightly different naming conventions for the Button Layer Sets, since PrE does the authoring in a semi-automatic fashion. Also, they have the text for all Buttons in every supported language. You only need the language of your system.
The easiest way to "convert" those Menu Sets to the exact conventions used in Encore is to Open one of the two Menus (I'd start with the Main Menu to keep things simple to start) in PS, with the Layer Sets twirled Open. Go through each Button, and just Delete the Layers with the additional languages. This is not mandatory, as long as you change the Visibility of the ones that you need to the correct language, but it WILL tidy things up, and for the next step, you will appreciate that. Now, also Open one of the Encore Menus (choose one that has many of the same Buttons) in PS, and look carefully at the naming conventions of that Menu. You will see some other characters in the PrE version. Change those to match the naming conventions in the Encore Menu. Many of those characters help PrE decide which Buttons will be needed in the semi-automatic authoring. Encore will be lost with some of those. Use the Encore Menu as your guide.
When you have Deleted those extra characters, and checked that you have added any necessary for Encore, do a Save_As from PS, to a separate folder. Repeat for the Scene Selection Sub-Menu. The PNG's will not be needed, as they are in PrE, so I would not bother with those.
Check carefully that you have the correct settings for Standard, and WideScreen, so that the PAR's are correct for your Projects. Note: many PrE Menu Sets are designed for PAL, so if you are in NTSC-land, you will want to check how these Menus behave in an NTSC Project. Most are designed to just Crop in NTSC, and the design elements are within the Cropped area. PrE does this automatically, if one is doing an NTSC Project, but Encore has no automation, so watch for issues there. If you ARE in NTSC, I would actually Crop in PS to make sure that everything matches my Projects. I'd also make sure that I had a Wide and a Standard version, if one does some 16:9 and some 4:3 Projects. In Encore, choose the correct one, so that the PAR will be correct.
When all is done, and has been tested, just Move that folder, with your edited Menus, to the Encore Library folder hierarchy. I have one sub-folder, Hunt, in which I have all of my created Menus, and Templates, with their Assets. When I am in the Library Panel in En, I just choose it from the drop-down. For me, I only work on NTSC Projects, so will create my Menus with that in mind. If needed, I will create both a Widescreen and a Standard version. I also make sure to NOT have any spaces in my Menu names, and use the underscore (_) instead. Also, I keep the Menu file names pretty short too. Those in PrE are rather long, and many characters can usually be removed from them, and still have a logical name.
Also remember that in Encore, if you need, say 4 Sub-Menus, you will need to include all 4 in the Project. Back in PrE, the necessary number will be generated for you, based on the number of Chapter Markers in the Project. In Encore, you do that work.
Good luck, and hope that this helps,
    Hunt

  • How do I get my library back on Encore CS5?

I have used the library on Adobe CS5 from new and now it is missing. How do I have it recovered back to author my DVDs. I have researched the Adobe help but not successfully. Brian Anderson.

For CS5, if you installed from disk, the library should have installed. If by download, it was a separate download
In either event if you don't have it, you can download the current version, and just put it in the CS5 library location.

  • Create Dynamic Document Library Templates

I have the following scenario within our IT Org
    1. PMO office maintains a "Standards" library, to which they publish all standard templates that need to be used for Project Management.
    2. Each Project Manager would like to create a document library within their "project site" based on all the documents within "Standards" library.
My question is, would it be possible to create a document library template whose contents are dynamically pulled from another library?
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
Based on your description, my understanding is that each Project Manager
creates document library with the same template, but what they need is that their document libraries have different content type with others.
There isn’t an out of the box method to create document library templates dynamically.
For your issue, I suggest each Project Manager create one document content type with the document template which they need, and add the content type into their document libraries.
Here is a similar case, you can use as a reference:

  • Missing Library presets in Encore CS5.1. Is there a download for this?

I have Adobe Encore CS5.1 running on my Mac, however the preset library is empty. The only link I could find to download them was this: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html#Download the extra library content but this only seems to cater for CS6 and upwards. Is there somewhere I can retrieve the library folder?

No I downloaded the CS5.5 creative suite a few years ago. Although all the products are CS5.5, for some reason Encore is CS5.1. I'm sure why that is, but the library is completely empty.
Encore was not a "full" upgrade, so it got a minor version increase. But the bottom line is that the version of Encore in CS 5.5 is Encore CS5.1.
An oddity of the Encore CS6 library install is that it REMOVED the library for CS5.1. Never did figure out what the logic was or whether it was a bug. A real mess.
But the bottom line for you is to use the CS6 library but install it using the following method rather than the dmg installer.
Encore Help | Download full library content/functional content
This method just involves extracting it and putting the folders in the right places. In addition to the library folder, you can also put the styles (fonts etc) and templates (flash export) in.
Edit: if it wasn't clear, you are going to put the library etc into your Encore 5.1 install directory.

  • Can I use Premiere Elements templates for Encore CS6

LIke the title says.... can I use menu templates from Premiere Elements for Encore CS6? If so, does it matter what version of PRE?
I've seen some templates on the web (e.g. muvipix) but don't know if I could use them in Encore.
I saw somebody asked a similar question for CS4, didn't know what, if anything, had changed...
ETA: Just FYI, I downloaded the Encore CS6 Functional Content and installed it, but honestly I'm not sure if it added any templates or what.... :)

Also, I have to say, for stuff on that's so valuable, Adobe has made the page very hard to find and made the instructions as clear as mud.
First, I'm still not clear on what the difference is between "Functional Content" and "Resource Central Library Content".
Second, as far as I can tell, I never had the problem being addressed by the page (i.e. "When you access the Library panel in Adobe Encore, the panel contains no content."). My library panel always had content, just not a lot of it.
My problem would more accurately be described as "When you access the Library panel in Adobe Encore, the panel contains surprisingly little content.". So the mother lode of content I was looking for was buried as an "Additional Solution" for a problem I didn't have.
And lastly, the Functional Content is some oddly double-zipped self-extracting affair, and the "Resource Central Content is a more straight-forward compressed file, but unlike the Functional Content, it's a .7z file so you have to download a 7-zip compatible decompression tool.
It's awesome that Adobe has that content, so I hate to complain, but it's not so awesome how hard it is find and install.

  • Library templates for motion, DVD studio pro, Live type etc

    Hi
I wanted to ask how I copy (from one computer to another) over the libraries of templates for the suite of programs in Final Cut Studio 2. I no longer have the discs and wanted to ask where in the library and what files I need to carry over to be able to see the templates etc again for these FCP Studio programs.
    Hope you can help.
    Cheers and thanks,

I no longer have the discs...
Do you intend to try and use the Migration Assistant to copy the applications?
If so, it won't work. Final Cut Studio places many files at system level that are vital to its operation. Quite a few are in directories that are normally invisible to the user. These files do not copy across correctly or at all.
While the media is mostly in the Library/Application Support and Users/Shared directories, many of those invisible system files do not have names that obviously associate themselves with FCS.

  • Menu Template in Encore

Why don't I have any predesigned menus in Encore?  I have the cloud but I cannot access any predesigned menus.

You did a screen copy of the 1st part... now scroll down in http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html to get to part 2
Additional solution: Install the Resource Central library content
    Download the extra library content
Choose your language to begin the download:
    https://blogs.adobe.com/premiereprotraining/files/EncoreContentEnglish.ziphttps://blogs.adobe.com/premiereprotraining/files/EncoreContentEnglish.zip
English French German Japanese Italian Spanish Korean
Extract the Library content to the Library folder
Extract the zip file that you just downloaded to create a .7z file (for example, en-US.7z).
Extract the .7z file to any convenient location (for example, the Desktop). This step creates a folder based on the language you selected.
7-zip for Windows (available for download at http://www.7-zip.org/download.html)
The Unarchiver for Mac OS (available for download at http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html)

  • How to download the complete library presets in Encore cs6?

I downloaded the suggested EncoreContent_en-US.zip that contained 2.87 GB and extracted the file to my current cs6 encore folder. Unfortunately, even though Adobe claimed that it contained the whole preset library, it is not true, the background, buttons, image etc... are still missing.
Can someone help me with this issue?

There are TWO links for missing Content... PPro & Encore basic and Encore extra

    Encore additional http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/using/download-library-content.html
