No Linking Available in Layers

I am unable to link layers. Little chain does not show up next to each layer only ability to make layer visible/invisible. Link at bottom of palette just shows null sign when clicked on. Am on Mac OS 10.4.11;CS2 v. 9.0.2. thank you

that's because they changed the way you link. Just Command + SHIFT on the layers you want to link and click the chianlink icon at the bottom.
But since you can select as many layers as you want at once linking is not all that necessary.

Older Version Updates for iTunes? Links Available?

I've recently had to reinstall my OS X and wipe my HD because of a previous problem. This has now left me with a completely blank, retro, tin-bucket laptop.
I've just loaded on my backed-up iTunes music and now want to upgrade my iTunes.
I was left with version 4.0.1 after the reinstall and am running Mac OS X 10.2.8
Now I'm aware Apple is more than happy to supply people with a link to download the new iTunes version 8, but this wouldn't work with my current platform.
Does anyone know the latest update that will work with my OS X (is it iTunes 5?) and if there are any links available?
Do Apple keep download links for older versions of their software in their archives? I've just had a look and couldn't find anything...
I'd really appreciate any help anyone could offer...

AdobeSend vs AdobeSendNow - file size, address book and link availability control?

Another user commented and would like answers to these questions, please.
What is the biggest file size for AdobeSend - can't seem to find any information on this. AdobeSendNow had a limit of 2 GB.
With AdobeSendNow, we used to be able to control how long the link is valid for to recipients - what about AdobeSend?
Will an address book be available for the AdobeSend like it did for Adobe SendNow?

I want my desktop version back!!     Just not a fan yet of this much more time consuming and clunky product.
What were you guys thinking?   Why did this new product NOT provide the same "outlook" or other connection to our address books?
Now I must have my address book open, copy addresses in to the tiny little window provided on the web page,
and type in every recipient's name.   I can no longer draft my message & select a group of individuals to receive reports from my e-mail
account in outlook; then select to use the ADOBE SEND FUNCTION.
On the web, it is so inefficient and risky to try to manuever in the tiny little screens that are provided..
There is not enough room in the "box" verfity the address is "actually" entered in correctly.
And, trying to send to a "group" is even more taxing.   Having to manually enter the addresses makes no sense and
just begs for an wayward e-mail.
The desktop version was soooo much more efficient and seamless to operate.
Maybe you should let us decide which one to use until you get this new product functioning at its highest level.
It is definitely as step down.   You should not assume everyone want to be or is working in the "cloud"....
I am eager to hear if this issue is being addressed so I will know whether to renew or not?

Linked Smart Object Layers

This may be a very simple question (or not):
As shown here, I have a Photoshop project that has many layers in it. All of the layers have pretty much the same pictures in it, but with minor differences. I'm trying to find a way to change the color of ALL of the layers without having to go into each individual one.
I want all the layers to have the exact same color different than what is shown.
Any help?

One option (and a pretty cumbersome one) would be to set up a Smart Object for every color and subsequently mask or clipping mask that.
But JJMack’s advice is valid – depending on the severeness of the correction it may be difficult (or impossible without masking) to implement naturally.

WPC Problem after creation of new Site - no "Edit Page" Link available

I have a problem with WebPageComposer (WPC) and Edit Page link.
We are currently on EP 7.01 SP6.
(I have the wpc_editor_role for my user)
I am doing the following:
1) I create a new site, (derived permissions for all folders is wpc_editor_role - Full Control),
2) I Create some article within its Site Content folder
3) I create a new web page in its Web Pages folder
4) assign the article to the web page and publish it
5) add web page within Site Navigation as a new node
6) I used Publish Site Navigation
After clicking on the web page within Web Pages folder it does a preview.
Our older WPC content does display the Edit Page link - the new one does not.
What step am I missing here?
Maybe it is an upgrade issue?

P.S.: copying one of our older WPC pages into my new site + renaming it via KM + removing old content + assigning new one does display the correct link after publishing it! Any indeas?

It sounds like your are doing all the right actions, I don't think that your missing any step in the process, but please consider the following.
Are you using a custom WPC layout template? The reason I ask is that I have developed a number of WPC custom templates and in some circumstances I have needed to remove/hide the "pageheader" section of the template. This action removed the links from displaying at the top of the page. Try creating and publishing a web page using a SAP standard WPC layout and see if the edit link appears once the page is published.
The editing and preview page views do not display the "edit" link, they only display the other page header links that can be assigned to a page. The edit link is only visible when viewing the page via the portal, not in edit mode. Another question, was the deployment of KMCWPC successful and without error? I have experienced issues where the deployment did not fully complete, causing some subtle issues regarding publishing of WPC content and redeploying KMCWPC fixed the issue. I hope this helps.

UIX:train - how to make all links available/enabled

Is there a way that I can default all of the links in a uix:train to be enabled, rather than just the next link after the selected Index? (selectedIndex+1)
I tried using the disabled attribute and setting each link to disabled="false", but that doesn't work.

No, a train is meant to handle sequential processes. To handle things in parallel, you can use a tabBar or a subTabLayout.

Layer Effects "linking" when combining layers from separate projects

I am taking a Pshop class and working on a photo-realistic project. I created two main images as separate files. Both have a number of effects, such as bevel and contour or drop shadow. Separately, they look just fine. But when I duplicate the groups of one image and place it into the other, I've noticed that effects do not transfer over but rather take on the attributes of the image I am copying the folders onto.
Here is what I mean. See how the nuts have a contour on them?
Now I will place the layers that make up the guitar into the other file. I did not change anything, just duplicated layers.
Now I lost the countour. Also note that the inner bevel around the bridge (the darker brown area) also got changed. And the drop shadow in the hole of the guitar shifted.
I am guessing that it is taking on the attributes of the original file settings. How can I keep these setting separate?

Forwarded email has no links available on iPhone.

I have set up a rule to forward a newsletter from my iMac to a gmail account that is set up on my iPhone 5. The email gets forwarded but the links in the email are not active. If I manually forward to the same email the links in it are active.
What am I missing?

Success, of sorts. What I've done that seems to work quite well is to change the rule from Forward the email to Redirect the email. It appears to arrive as originally coded quite nicely.
At least for my needs.
It does seem that Forward should also work.

Update to BlackBerry Link available for PCs, 1.0.1.11

Just inquired with Bell if there was a new update for BlackBerry Link -- may I pass on a reminder to BlackBerry to put the notice out there... perhaps I just missed it. Possibly this is the Outlook syncing feature people have been talking about...
I had to call Bell to figure out how to download the Update -- they told me to go to ca.blackberry.com/ and babysat me through it -- you have to go to that main page, then click on Software at the top, then go down the page to the section on BlackBerry Link for OS 10, and click on the line "learn more about BlackBerry Link" and when on that page, click the button for Download for PC or Download for Mac... mine went smoothly. My Z10 was on at the time, connected to cellular and to the resident house WiFi, not connected to the computer but just sitting on a table nearby, and some kind of communication between the two I believe took place, what I don't know, or perhaps it was over the clouds...
Hint to BlackBerry: Maybe a line on the Link software itself as to how and where to update it? And some kind of thing on the web such as "Check for latest update for Link software" "How to update your Link Software" -- maybe those two exercises could be combined.... but the latest version number should be publicized on the BlackBerry websites, folks.... also don't hide the procedure away so effectively!!

Thanks for the response. Sometimes a stupid mistake is the problem. I was using the hand tool and not the move tool. My previous version of Photoshop was 5.0LE. There is so much new material to learn with Photoshop Elements 10, it can be intimidating. Any suggestions where to start?

Script for Linking multiple layers to a null layer

I'm trying to link multiple layers to an animated null layer but I want each layer to start the animation from layer starting time.
What would be the script I need to add instead duplicating null layer for every layers?

Hopefully this picture can explain better what I'm trying to achieve.
I want to link the text layers to ROTATE null object but I want the keyframes to start at the beginning of each of text layer. This way, I won't need keyframes for each text layer and I can adjust the timing easier later. I know the script lines to link them to a null object but I can't figure out the line to tell the keyframes to start at the beginning of the layer instead the null object in the timeline.

I can't get Firefox to open a new tab each time I click on a link or favorite. It keeps loading onto the current tab.

I went to Tools>Options>Tabs and entered a check mark next to the first entry, "Open New Windows in a New Tab Instead" but it still does not open a new tab each time I click on a link or one of my favorites. It used to way back in earlier versions of Firefox but hasn't for the past few iterations...am I doing something wrong or do I need to activate something else within Firefox?

That option only controls pages that would open in a new window based on the code on the website page you are visiting.
Firefox's default is to open a link or a Bookmark in the currently selected tab.
You have some options to have links and/or Bookmarks open in a new tab:
*middle-click the link or Bookmark (middle-click = press the mouse scroll wheel)
*CTRL+left-click the link or Bookmark
*right-click the link or Bookmark and choose "Open in New Tab"
