No Local Files being added or shown in new version (1.0.1.1060.gc75ebdfd)

Hey there, longtime premium user. Searched boards for this issue and havnt found any yet in this new update.
The 'local files' playlist/folder/tab section is completely empty. Under preferences all of my usual music folders are selected, and I have readded them, and even created new folders in different hardrives and added a test song or two and then added, but the local files remains unpopulated.
I know some are being found as they are shown in other older playlists from before this update, and even the 'show containing folder' under right click works fine when playing from these playlists. But the local files is completely empty.
Have logged out of account and also performed a fresh install of the program (although unfortunately synched folders are tied to accounts so I wasnt able to perform a "fresh" install by selecting folders again).
Have even resynched Windows Media Player library incase spotify would be able to find the new songs through this, but no luck on this front either.
Anyone having this same issue? Any work around?

Can you try a clean reinstalation of Spotify, such as clearing out all the cache files that Spotify stores on your computer? This may solve the problem.
1:Uninstall Spotify: Start > Control Panel > Programs / Uninstall a Program > Spotify
2: Find your AppData folder and delete all Spotify data.
Start, run, type: %appdata% and hit enter
You probably see 4 folders; enter each and see if they contain a folder called Spotify. Delete the entire Spotify folder.
3:Restart your computer at this point.
4:Reinstall Spotify (download)

You need to restore the pre-upgrade backup of the library file in the manner shown in Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

Preventing help files being added to start menu after installing an application in windows 8.1 enterprise

Hi Guys
when we install an Application in windows 8 family, we see that in addition of Application executable file, user manuals (.chm) and PDF & other files related to that App are added to start menu (when we click down Arrow which shows all programs) and
so the start menu gets quit messy.
is there any settings to make only applications executable file be added to start menu & prevent other types of files related to that App being added here?

This issue is related to the programs package we installed.
• An installation package contains all of the information that the Windows Installer requires to install or uninstall an application or product and to run the setup user interface.
• The developer can specify installation context, and based on these properties, Windows Installer automatically redirects the values of folder properties and registrations to locations.
• The shortcut is added to the profile by these context
We could right click these file and could find out they are the shortcut mentioned above.

MRI: How to deal with the NEW .js files being added to MassReplaceIt?

This question concerns the application "MassReplaceIt."
I have read the Help menu on it but am not clear on it and want to make sure that my guess is correct before I go and do anything.
THE RUN-UP TO MY QUESTION IS:
I have 23 songs on my website. Each time I have to Publish All to .Mac, the .js files for those pages need to be edited or else the songs won't play.
In MRI > Find, I have my 8 pairs of Find/Replace.
In Files, I have my 23 .js files listed
I set up that combintion above as my DEFAULT QUERY. I named it "For song edits in .js files." As I add new songs, the list lengthens.
MY QUESTION IS:
The bottomest line question is: How do I handle new .js files to MRI and use MRI to edit them out the first time? Thus far I have been doing the first edit manually. Can I use the same default query every time I add a new song or must I make a new query to use with new songs, and then add the new song .js file later on to the default query?
And below is the fully extended question which doesn't presume anything:
When I add a new song and go through the motions thru MRI of Adding a new file and the selecting it in my iDisk, and then I click "Replace" (which then goes thru the files and finds/replaces to bring all files up to date) does MRI know to just edit out the new .js file which has not been edited yet? I can see that even if MRI goes thru all the songs to check them for current-ness, it could just leave the unaffected files alone and work only on the new file, but is that the way MRI wants me to do it? Or another way?
If MRI wants me to do it another way, then I figure that MRI wants me to use a new query, and then the question is: How can I set up MRI so that in addition to that default query above, I have only the 8 Find/Replace items and NO long list of 24+ .js files? Then, when I add a new a .js file I would use that Query to edit it out just for that one time. Then I would transfer the .js file to the default File list.
I have it in my head that I would use the DEFAULT query only for after I do Publish All to .Mac as opposed to, "Here is a list of 25 files, but edit out only the new one."
Am I wrong? (I speak only of iWeb tasks, not of other programs like word processors.)

Yes, it makes sense and it was my first instinctive thought, but I have FeDigiWo: Fear of the Digital World. FeDigiWo is what made me catch myself in Instinct Mode and ask: But would the program want me to do it that way? Is the program finicky?
So, bottomest line: When I put in a new song, I will go to MRI > Files > +
and then navigate to the file, open it, wait for it to show up in the files field, and then click REPLACE. Yes? OK.

HT4623 Can't download itunes as the file library.itl is of a newer version?

The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes. I have uninstalled iTunes, then downloaded iTunes again and once I try to run the download file, the message appears. Can you please help me?

Note point number 2 below:
Check for content files with issuesSometimes a certain audio file can cause iTunes to quit unexpectedly or stop responding when it is analyzing gapless playback information. To determine which file(s) may be causing the issue, follow the steps below.
Quit iTunes.
Move the iTunes Library.itl file to your Desktop. The file is located in:C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
Open iTunes.
From the File menu, choose Add Folder to Library.
Navigate to the folder where your music is located. Typically this is:C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media
Note: This folder may also be called "iTunes Music."
Choose an artist, album, or single song to add the to the library.
Wait for iTunes to successfully add the songs to your library and perform the gapless playback scan.
If successful, continue adding back more songs to your library.
If there is an issue with one of your files, you will notice your issue reappear after you attempt to add it to the library. At this point you should repeat these steps being careful not to add the files that cause the issue to occur.

Not all of my pics from file manager have uploaded into our new version of photoshop elements?

We just upgraded to Adobe elements 12 -
In doing so - one of the files that I have been working on for months didn't totally convert over...so in file manager I have 450 pics...in the same folder in Adobe I have 54 pics..how do I get these all imported correctly?

Which operating system are you using?
If your using mac os x 10.6 (snow leopard) or windows xp or vista, then the below solution will not work and you shouldn't try to install the dng converter 8.5
You could use the free Adobe DNG Converter to convert your files to dng copies which should then open in pse 10.

I'm being prompted to download a new version of Firefox but I can't seem to do it when I follow promts.

Yesterday my Firefox icon disappeared from my menu bar. I went into my applications and opened it. Every time I use it to reach gmail, I get a message that I'm using an out of date version and to download a new one. I download it. An installation disk appears. A "move to applications" message appears. I move the icon to applications. I can get my e-mail, but all the bookmark icons are blank now. And each time I open gmail I get prompted again to download 8.1. something.

According to your useragent string you are running version 3.0.10. Either you are running a VERY old version or your useragent is wrong.
Let's start by assuming the later. To fix do the following:
* Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
* If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
* Filter = general.useragent.
* Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset.
* Then restart Firefox

You are downloading the Flash installer, which I think itself downloads another installer, which may again download something else that has to run. Adobe's installer is one of the worst pieces of software on the PLANET.
That said, the problem is that you are not actually running the installer and letting it update Flash. Doing so will force you to quit Safari in the process.
Go look for whatever Adobe downloaded to your Downloads folder and run it.

After downloading the new Firefox 9.0.1 and trying to execute the file, I get a message "File Corrupt" and cannot install the new version.

I always update Firefox and have the latest 8.0. This had never happened before. I tried to execute it twice, but still got the same message. I have Windows XP.

[Desktop] Bring Back Local File Info Editing and Dates Added!

I would like to see the functionality for changing the track info for local files and the sorting of when the local file was added to come back. I used these functions a lot because I have a large amount of music saved on my computer, and I add more often. I liked the ability to change the track's info to make it easier to search for and more organized. The date added function was also essential for organizing my local files because I would have to search through thousands of files just to find the file that I just added. Since these functions were on an older version of Spotify, I don't understand why they would be omitted in the newer versions. Also, fixing the bugs that prevent local files to be synced to my phone for offline playing would be helpful as well.

Running Version Cue CS3 3.1.0 with latest Bridge. (PowerMac G5 - OSX 10.4.11)
Im running the VC server on my local machine. Intention is for only myself to use it for version control.
I created a project, added my files... the standard local file path is ~/Documents/Version Cue/projectname
2 issues, perhaps the same issue
whenever i attempt to disconnect from the project... the local files are deleted...
so, if i had set a custom path for my projects local files, VC immediately deletes the files, and next time trying to connect, the local file path is reset to the ~/Documents/Version Cue/projectname
Is this how VC is supposed to function?
Any help or insight is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you in advance

[Desktop] Link & Unlink Local Files

This recent update is really ruining my playlists by linking completely different files on my computer to albums that I am trying to stream.
For instance, Babymetal's Red Night album. If you look at the picture I attached, every single one of the songs on Black Night where the artist name of Babymetal is white instead of grey has been linked to Red Night, even though they are completely different versions of the songs. When I am trying to play a Red Night track, instead of playing the Red Night track, it just says it is and plays the linked Black Night track instead as if I can't notice a difference. So, essentially, despite the fact that I am paying the premium fee, nearly the entire Red Night album is unavailable to me because I have completely different local files being linked to it. This is completely asinine. There used to be an absolutely necessary feature in which you could rightclick on a song and select an option to unlink it from a local file. This needs to be brought back immediately.

I can't agree more to have this unlink feature installed as soon as possible.I now have to use two players (spotify for music I do not have) and poweramp (for music I have local)This is the only I know way to be able to have all the music off line. If I download my local music (4000 songs) through spotify, my music is replaced by spotify music resulting in reaching the download limit of 3333 songs. Maybe they have to limit this feature to premium customers if that would make sense from business point of view.Major drawback of my approach - I can't shuffle all the music anymore and have to choose which collection I'm going to take before start playingSo I'm willing to tolerate this for some time, but thius has to be solved within the coming months or I will look for alternatives.

Better Import of Local Files to Integrate with Your Music

I switched to Spotify because it let me import my local files. With "Your Music" this has the potential to get even better.
Spotify would be amazing if it scanned your local files and added those songs, albums, and artists to the Songs, Albums, and Artists sections in My Music automatically.
Even better, my local files are not exactly local, they're stored on an external drive, and I've love to have Spotify be able to switch to a Spotify version if the local version is not available (i.e. when I'm not connected to the drive) or it's just taking a long time to load.

If we could do this to better integrate local files with the Your Music album and artist views, I could migrate away from using iTunes on my desktop. It would be nice as well for this to integrate into the search function. I actually use the search function more than the other parts of the Your Music view (even though I love those views and gladly welcome them) because it's faster. If local files could integrate in there (for things that aren't on Spotify), I would never use iTunes.
For example. I want to listen to [Band A] that isn't on Spotify. I go to the search bar, type in their name, it appears on the results just like something on Spotify. I click on their name and am taken to an artist page to see all of their albums that are stored on my computer. This is different from the filter search for local files because that search does not give an option to better narrow down results to see only one album or all albums by one artist.
