No Log Found

Hi,
Just looking for some conformation,
Within OBIEE when I try to view Log I get the log not found error,
From what I have read there was a patch if you were running 1.1.3.0 but this was fixed in version 1.1.4.0 I am currently running 1.1.5.0 yet get this error only when trying to view the log on some reports.
I have confirmed Log level is set to 4 in .rpd and for weblogic user but the error continues
Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

You said few reports, I was suggesting to recreate manually and test them how they work with Log.
You may go with other report name for testing purpose, once you are good with newly created report then only go for any action on existing report.

  • No Log Found in OBIEE 11.1.1.6.9

    Hi All,
We have installed OBIEE 11.1.16.9 and have configured OBIA 7964 RPD. While trying to retrieve the log files for any report by going to Administration - Manage Sessions, and then clicking on the report we are getting 'No Log Found' message.
As part of setting we have set the variable LOGLEVEL in the rpd to 7.
Also at the user level, for our user 'weblogic' we have set the log level to 7.
But still we are not getting the log files.
Are we missing something? Please let us know how to resolve it.
    Thanks,
    Dany

  • "No Log Found" in OBIEE 11g Administration- Manage Sessions

I am using 11.1.1.5 and have set the Repository logging to Log Level 2..and have also made the User logging to Level 2 as well. I know there is a session variable called LOGLEVEL and I have also tried to edit that. Despite this, I am still unable to see the physical SQL generated by the BI Server under Administration->Manage Sessions. Any idea what I may be missing?

    Hi,
It's bug. you do workaround method.
    Method 1:
create session veraible and set it log level 0 ro 7 then u can able to manage session view log (physical query)
    see my screen short
    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/215/viewloginitsessionvaria.jpg/
    INIT LOGLEVEL
and just add dummy table mentioned below kind
    select 7 from IW_POSITION
    assign system session variable:
    LOGLEVEL
then save it and try to login weblogic then u can able to see the view log.
    Method 2:
for the particular report do it in answres -->advanced tab
can you try putting the below syntax in prefix section of advanced tab.
    SET VARIABLE LOGLEVEL=2,DISABLE_CACHE_HIT=1;
It should generate the log with database sql as well.

  • Can't import ditamap to Robohelp 11, error "no logs found"

I've googled this question and found some input from 2012, but it doesn't resolve my problem.
I'm trying to import some ditamaps into RoboHelp 11 from FrameMaker 12,  but if I choose the plain ditamap (as opposed to the FrameMaker ditamap) format, I get an error:
Processing with DITA Open Toolkit failed. No Logs found.
Check DITA Open Toolkit is installed and working.
The DITA OT is installed and working because I can use it to generate output from Frame and on its own. Also, I changed the path in the processing options from the Frame DITA-OT path to the plain path (c:\ditaot on my computer). But neither path works.
The old query on this subject (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4921792) suggests back-grading the DITA-OT to a seriously obsolete version or reinstalling the entire Technical Communications Suite. The first solution does not much appeal and I rather hope there has been a resolution since!
As for the second, I have just taken out a monthly subscription to the TechComm Suite 5 and was not provided with a license number to reinstall it (on the same computer, over itself - it was previously installed as a trial version).
The import of a FrameMaker ditamap works better, but I don't much like the way Frame outputs from DITA (for example the loss of hierarchy when I include a topichead rather than a topicref as a chapter title). I find overall that plain DITA-OT does a much better job at outputting correctly, but would like to be able to use RoboHelp functionality to manage the branding and styling.
Has there been any movement on this since 2012?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

    Hello Elena
You seem to have the mistaken impression that the Adobe folks are the only folks hanging out here. Sure, they do visit from time to time, but this is primarily a user to user forum. If you have something pressing that needs an "official" answer by Adobe, you need to contact support. Either that or consider filing a wishform/bug report.

  • Manage Session: "No Log Found"

    Hi all,
I want to see the session log by going into Dashboards > Settings > Administration > Manage Sessions > Session Monitor. But I see "NO LOG FOUND".
I read in the documentations "Oracle BI EE Administration Guide" where it said to change the logging level of user= "Administrator" ( i am using this user ) between 2 and 5. I did that, and restarted all the services (oc4j, bi server & ppt server) but NO result.
    I am using
    OBIEE 10g, on RHEL 5
    Thank You

Thank You Amit, your answer was correct. I could see the log now without the error.

  • No offline redo logs found for processing

    Hi!
    I have very simple question/problem.
I have installed two Oracle systems on the same host on Windows.
I have installed the oracle software only once
If I try to execute a full online backup + redo logs, only the online redo logs will be back up. After this I get the error <b>BR0017E Offline redo log file 'C:\oracle\DEV\102\RDBMS\ARC01435_0627659303.001' not found</b>.
If I try only to back up redo logs I receive the warning "no offline redo logs found for processing".
I tried to implement some helpful SAP notes such as 490976.
E.g. I have changed the file arch<sid>.log, but I have still the same warning.
The environment seems to be ok.
It would be great, if some one have experience dealing with this problem...
    Thank's

  • No action logs found

    Hi All,
I could not find action logs for online backup and archive log backup in DB12.
And no action log for checkdb also in db13, but job finished successfully.

When I checked in DB24 for db operations it shows all actions green and detail logs also available here.

  • No logs found in Router

    Hi ,
I am using a 2851 router in mpls network. We had a power shut down activity recently and post to that i could not find any logs in the router.  Can anyone help me out in trouble shooting this issue.
    Regards
    Raj

    Raj
Can you verify that before the power outage the router was producing logs?
Can you also verify that the router is running the same version of IOS now as before the power outage? I have seen situations where an IOS had been added to flash or an IOS had been removed from flash and after a power cycle the router was running a different IOS and some behaviors might have changed.
It wold help if we could be sure of how the router is configured for logging. Can you post the output of the command
    show run | include log
And there might be some helpful information if you would post the output of show log

  • Where are mobile home sync logs found?

Did some searching, came up empty

This is probably too late for the OP, but hopefully someone else will find it helpful.
    The problem is ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.plist.
If you're using mobile home folders, don't sync it.  If you're not, script it to kill it off at login.
    This what worked for me.

I am using obiee 11g. 11g admin client is installed in local machine and I upload the rpd through enterprise manager. But I can not able to open the rpd in online mode that's why cannot change the query log level=2 (as in obiee 10g) for seeing the query log in Answers. Usually after making changes in 11g rpd, I upload that in server via enterprise manager console.
Can anyone please tell me what should be correct option to see the query log and how I can open the rpd in online mode and how I can set the query log level in obiee 11g????
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Titas

    Hi,
Its known bug and it can be done by below methods,
    Method1:
If you enabled loglevel for each users wise it may be override with below place also can you confirm both places.
    enabled Tools-->Options-->Repository-->
System log level by default will be 0 just try to increase to 2 or 3 and save it.
    Method1:
by each report wise enabling loglevel
try putting the below syntax in prefix section of advanced tab.
    SET VARIABLE LOGLEVEL=2,DISABLE_CACHE_HIT=1;
It should generate the log with database sql as well.
    Method 3:
    Create Session variable(LOGLEVEL) with initblock
in your init block --> datasource place put it like below query
    select 3 from IW_POSITION
Note:just point any existing physical table from u r RPD.
Then try to save it and test it.

  • Log not Found

We are using external table authentication. Data is not filtering by user. All records are displaying for all users. i am trying to view “ view Log” from session Management, but I am getting No Log Found error. Please can you help me, how can I view Log file. Should I change any thing for external table authentication?
My second doubt is why data is not filtering? I have created all joins between S&V tables with fact table. Could you please help on this issue also?
Thank you very much for your time.

    Hi User,
You need to set the Logging Level (LOGLEVEL variable) to an appropriate value in order to get logs to be generated. In this article, Venkat shows how to increase the logging level and get to queries for standard RPD users.
In your case, since you're using external table and not internal RPD users, you'll want to set the LOGLEVEL variable in a RPD initialization block or at the report level. Nico has an article about how to do it for the request level. See his article here.
For the RPD level, just create a new initialization block and set it to a query is a source. Use the query "SELECT 7 FROM DUAL" as the initialization query and set the variable LOGLEVEL. 7 is the highest logging level. Save the RPD, restart services and every user should generate a log file.
    Good luck!
