No logs found in Router

Hi ,
I am using a 2851 router in mpls network. We had a power shut down activity recently and post to that i could not find any logs in the router.  Can anyone help me out in trouble shooting this issue.
Regards
Raj

Can you verify that before the power outage the router was producing logs?
Can you also verify that the router is running the same version of IOS now as before the power outage? I have seen situations where an IOS had been added to flash or an IOS had been removed from flash and after a power cycle the router was running a different IOS and some behaviors might have changed.
It wold help if we could be sure of how the router is configured for logging. Can you post the output of the command
show run | include log
And there might be some helpful information if you would post the output of show log

    I managed to log in, and it all seems in order. so the problem must be with my computer.
    when i go to the tab of the wireless it just says: "Wi-fi: Looking for Networks" all the time!
    Then it find a networks, then it drops, then it finds it again. it's a pain. I think it has gotten worse since I uptated the system from Snow Leopard to Maverick. Any suggestions? Anyone else with this problem?
    Thank you so much!

    Hi there,
    It sounds to me like you could have a corrupt network preferences file.
    Here's what I suggest you do:
    1. Open System preferences from the dock icon.
    2. Navigate to Network and open that pane.
    3. Click on Wi-Fi, in the left hand pane and highlight it.
    4. Click the minus button at the bottom of the pane to remove Wi-Fi from the list.
    5. Click Apply.
    6. Click on the plus button and select "Wi-Fi" from the drop down list.
    7. Click Apply.
    8. Quit System preferences.
    You should now have effectively reset your Wi-Fi interface. Now try connecting to your wireless network again and (hopefully) everything should work as expected.
    I hope this info helps.

  • No Log Found in OBIEE 11.1.1.6.9

    Hi All,
    We have installed OBIEE 11.1.16.9 and have configured OBIA 7964 RPD. While trying to retrieve the log files for any report by going to Administration - Manage Sessions, and then clicking on the report we are getting 'No Log Found' message.
    As part of setting we have set the variable LOGLEVEL in the rpd to 7.
    Also at the user level, for our user 'weblogic' we have set the log level to 7.
    But still we are not getting the log files.
    Are we missing something? Please let us know how to resolve it.
    Thanks,
    Dany

  • "No Log Found" in OBIEE 11g Administration- Manage Sessions

    I am using 11.1.1.5 and have set the Repository logging to Log Level 2..and have also made the User logging to Level 2 as well. I know there is a session variable called LOGLEVEL and I have also tried to edit that. Despite this, I am still unable to see the physical SQL generated by the BI Server under Administration->Manage Sessions. Any idea what I may be missing?

    Hi,
    It's bug. you do workaround method.
    Method 1:
    create session veraible and set it log level 0 ro 7 then u can able to manage session view log (physical query)
    see my screen short
    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/215/viewloginitsessionvaria.jpg/
    INIT LOGLEVEL
    and just add dummy table mentioned below kind
    select 7 from IW_POSITION
    assign system session variable:
    LOGLEVEL
    then save it and try to login weblogic then u can able to see the view log.
    Method 2:
    for the particular report do it in answres -->advanced tab
    can you try putting the below syntax in prefix section of advanced tab.
    SET VARIABLE LOGLEVEL=2,DISABLE_CACHE_HIT=1;
    It should generate the log with database sql as well.

  • Can't import ditamap to Robohelp 11, error "no logs found"

    I've googled this question and found some input from 2012, but it doesn't resolve my problem.
    I'm trying to import some ditamaps into RoboHelp 11 from FrameMaker 12,  but if I choose the plain ditamap (as opposed to the FrameMaker ditamap) format, I get an error:
    Processing with DITA Open Toolkit failed. No Logs found.
    Check DITA Open Toolkit is installed and working.
    The DITA OT is installed and working because I can use it to generate output from Frame and on its own. Also, I changed the path in the processing options from the Frame DITA-OT path to the plain path (c:\ditaot on my computer). But neither path works.
    The old query on this subject (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4921792) suggests back-grading the DITA-OT to a seriously obsolete version or reinstalling the entire Technical Communications Suite. The first solution does not much appeal and I rather hope there has been a resolution since!
    As for the second, I have just taken out a monthly subscription to the TechComm Suite 5 and was not provided with a license number to reinstall it (on the same computer, over itself - it was previously installed as a trial version).
    The import of a FrameMaker ditamap works better, but I don't much like the way Frame outputs from DITA (for example the loss of hierarchy when I include a topichead rather than a topicref as a chapter title). I find overall that plain DITA-OT does a much better job at outputting correctly, but would like to be able to use RoboHelp functionality to manage the branding and styling.
    Has there been any movement on this since 2012?
    Thanks to anyone who can help.

    Hello Elena
    You seem to have the mistaken impression that the Adobe folks are the only folks hanging out here. Sure, they do visit from time to time, but this is primarily a user to user forum. If you have something pressing that needs an "official" answer by Adobe, you need to contact support. Either that or consider filing a wishform/bug report.

  • Manage Session: "No Log Found"

    Hi all,
    I want to see the session log by going into Dashboards > Settings > Administration > Manage Sessions > Session Monitor. But I see "NO LOG FOUND".
    I read in the documentations "Oracle BI EE Administration Guide" where it said to change the logging level of user= "Administrator" ( i am using this user ) between 2 and 5. I did that, and restarted all the services (oc4j, bi server & ppt server) but NO result.
    I am using
    OBIEE 10g, on RHEL 5
    Thank You

    Thank You Amit, your answer was correct. I could see the log now without the error.

  • No offline redo logs found for processing

    Hi!
    I have very simple question/problem.
    I have installed two Oracle systems on the same host on Windows.
    I have installed the oracle software only once
    If I try to execute a full online backup + redo logs, only the online redo logs will be back up. After this I get the error <b>BR0017E Offline redo log file 'C:\oracle\DEV\102\RDBMS\ARC01435_0627659303.001' not found</b>.
    If I try only to back up redo logs I receive the warning "no offline redo logs found for processing".
    I tried to implement some helpful SAP notes such as 490976.
    E.g. I have changed the file arch<sid>.log, but I have still the same warning.
    The environment seems to be ok.
    It would be great, if some one have experience dealing with this problem...
    Thank's

    Regards,
    Naidu.

    By the look of your "sh ip int bri" it is for the Eth1/0 interface not your serial.
    What's plugged into the other end of that link? Have you checked it is the correct encapsulation? eg if it is a trunk, are both sides configured to be a trunk (and also both isl or dot1q)?
    If it is going to a switch have you checked port security? (it may have autorecover set for 1 min which is why it keeps flapping).....
    Could also be a break in the cable which causes it to be unidirectional and UDLD may be brinking it down?

  • WRT54G - cannot log in to router?

    We have just moved to a new house and had to change our ISP. We have gone with AT&T/Yahoo DSL Internet as it's our only option out here unfortunately.
    When I'm hardwired into the DSL modem, I can get to the net, however, if I try and access it through the router I cannot.
    Previously at our old house I had set-up the wireless network with a different SSID and 128bit WEP key.  All computers were able to connect fine.
    I plugged it into the new modem and went to search for a wireless network and found it listed and was able to connect just fine on 2 different laptops.  However, we were unable to access the Internet.  So I went into the router via the local IP to check everything out, all looked correct.  So then I decided maybe I would just reset the router and start from scratch.
    I unplugged it, held in the reset button while plugging power back in.  It took me to a firmware update page...which I wasn't expecting but I guess that's the firmware update reboot method...my bad.  So I connected via my Sprint EVDO card and downloaded the latest firmware...1.02.2.  Installed and got a success message.
    Then I downloaded the owners manual and followed the directions to reset the router (hold down the reset button for 5 seconds...more like 8) and reset it.
    Now when I try and access the router (192.168.1.1) I get the same log-in pop-up window, but nothing I put in works!
    I've tried the standard blank user name and 'admin' as the password, I've tried username: admin, password: admin, I've tried my old password and user name...nothing.
    After I hit cancel about 5 times it takes me to what looks like the page for the router settings but it's not all there...I can see that the SSID has been reset to the factory name but I cannot navigate, etc.
    What have I messed up!?
    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    I'm a bit confused when you said  "The router uses 192.168.1.254 as its IP address".  Do you mean that your Motorola modem is using this address?
    Just to clarify:  Just because your Motorola has only one ethernet port, this does not mean that it is not a router.  Motorola makes several routers that have only one ethernet port, including the 2100 series.  For example, using only an additional hub or switch, you can connect 32 network devices to the 2100 modem-router.  I was unable to locate a manual for your 2210-02, but I would not be surprised if it can do the same.  If you have a URL for the manual for your 2210-02 modem, please post it.
    I am suspicious that your Motorola and your Linksys are both trying to use the same 192.168.1.x  address space.
    Now that you can access your WRT54G, you will need to change its address to 192.168.2.1     To do this, do the following:
    Go back to my 10 step post and do steps 1, 2, and 6 thru 10, except in step 10, instead of exiting your browser, do the following:
    Set the "Local IP address" to 192.168.2.1  then click the "Save Settings" button, then wait (3-60 seconds) for the screen to refresh.  Note:  You might be disconnected from the router at this point - don't worry if this happens.
    Next power down the router.
    Reconnect the ethernet port of the Motorola to the Internet port on the WRT54G.
    Power up your system, and test it.
    Note that your Linksys will now be using the 192.168.2.x  address space.  To access the Linksys setup pages, point your browser to 192.168.2.1
    Hope this helps.

  • AAA authentication when logging into the router via the web browser

    Hi group,
    I am trying to get access the a cisco 2621 via http and authentication
    via AAA but there is something I am not quite understand.
    I am using the freeware TACACS+ server running on RedHat Linux
    Enterprise Server 3.0. I setup the TACACS+ account for myself with
    enable privilege on the TACACS+ box. This account, let call it,
    ddt123, can telnet/ssh into the IOS router and the enable secret
    is associated with this account as setup in TACACS+.
    Here is my configuration looks like on the TACACS+ file:
    [root@dca2-LinuxES tacacs]# more tac_plus.cfg
    accounting file = /var/log/tac_plus.log
    key = zFgGkIooIsZ.Q
    user = ddt123 {
    member = admin
    name = "ddt 123"
    login = cleartext "exec123"
    user = $ddt123$ {
    member = admin
    name = "ddt 123"
    login = cleartext "privi123"
    group = admin {
    default service = permit
    [root@dca2-LinuxES tacacs]#
    Here is my configuration on the IOS device:

    The question I have is that when I open the browser and enter http://router_IP_address,
    the it prompts me for authetication, which password should I use, "exec123" or "privi123"?
    Can someone explain to me how this work, and if it works at all? Thanks.

  • Security hazard log in my router

    In my router under security hazard log , the following reads like this:
    time, event _ firewall info...Event type=user authentication failure... Details: invalid username.username admin repeated 42 times.
    Is this someone trying to access my router/network, ?? Obviously I have changed the default signon.
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    In a word... YES.
    There are computers that crawl the internet looking for vulnerabilities. When they hit upon one they start to look for open ports and then attempt to exploit. As a residential user, this is typically not a problem.
    Keep the default firewall settings on the router.
    When bored... I take a look at my log and perform a WHOIS on the IP's attempting an attack. I've found that most are overseas.
    Typically these attempts are to steal processing power not your individual files.

  • No action logs found

    Hi All,
    I could not find action logs for online backup and archive log backup in DB12.
    And no action log for checkdb also in db13, but job finished successfully.
    Job log has
    " External program terminated with exit code 1
    BRCONNECT returned error status E".
    When I checked in DB24 for db operations it shows all actions green and detail logs also available here.
    But nothing available from DB12.
    I checked and found that actions are not written to SDBAH table.
    Kindly suggest what can be done to resolve this.
    Thanks in advance.
