No Longer Able To Access TalkTalk Account Details or Webmail On iPad3.

When I try to log in to 'My Account' or 'Webmail' via Safari on my iPad3 the screen hangs. I seem to remember on my first unsuccessful attempt that a message appeared regarding cookies not being enabled, however, my cookies were enabled and now I have set my iPad to accept all cookies, still to no avail.
I have five accounts with TalkTalk and am experiencing the same problem with each account. I have tried using Google Chrome but still no luck. There does not appear to be a problem with the iPad mail app collecting mail from TalkTalk but I cannot access webmail directly nor can I access or view billing.
I am able to access all areas, however, from my MacBook Pro and Desktop Mac and so the website itself is obviously working OK. My sense is that this is either a cookie or possibly flash content issue.
Has anyone else expreienced a similar problem? Incidentally, I have already tried resetting the iPad and clearing all cookies and browsing data.

Excellent, well done. I have to say that talktalk were useless, they repeatedly sent me instructions for setting up an emil account and did not seem able to understand that it was the login that would not work. Thank you.

my old email address was hacked and I am no longer able to access it. How can i reset my icloud ID without losing all of my pictures and more importantly contacts? I have created a new ID but i cannot seem to use it until I delete the old account

You need to use the old ID and password to delete the iCloud account. After you delete the old account, you can sign in with the new ID in iCloud.
    Have you seen this.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5796
    iCloud
iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iCloud.
If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download to your device.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account. Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.

I have a MacBook Air and recently downloaded the new operating system, 10.10 OSX Yosemite. Since that time, I am no longer able to access my personal ITunes library to add music to IPhoto slideshows.  I put I tunes library on my desktop, as suggested. How do I drag it to the I Photo slideshow?

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots  and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

I need help in resolving a problem that prevents me from accessing the iTunes store.  Message reads " iTunes cannot contact the iTunes store" and also says that my laptop is no longer authorized to access my account.  Help!

Go up to the top of your screen on iTunes and click on 'Store'.  Then go down to 'Authorize This Computer'.  That should cover part of it unless you've already authorized a bunch of other computers to use your account.  If that's the case, you'll have to go to one of those computers and click the button just below it to 'deauthorize your account' from that computer.  If you're not able to access the store, check your internet connection to make sure you are connected.  Hope this helps.. good luck!

  • I am unable to access my iCloud e mail account and am still able to access AOL account though. It says something about an IMAP pathway and a port number how do I find this?

I am unable to access my iCloud e mail account and am still able to access AOL account though. It says something about an IMAP pathway and a port number how do I find this?

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • No longer able to access the "Advanced" options via the Inspector Chart Series Advanced sequence

In iWorks9 Numbers in attempting to add trendline to a line chart I am suddenly no longer able to access the options under "Advanced" via the Click On Chart Line>Inspector>Chart>Series>Advanced sequence because the triangle button adjacent to Advanced is not highlighted and does not open up when clicked upon. Ideas?

well ... I spent some time this afternoon repairing disk permissions, checking application preferences, etc. and don't think I found anything directly related to this problem but after a few hours I returned to Numbers and lo and behold something changed and everything is working fine ... and I have no idea what was the cause and what was the fix but I'll take it. Heisenberg was right.

  • No longer able to access Web Management after Firmware Update [SF200]

    Hello!
Today I was attempting to set up SNMP on our SF200-48 switch. I realized we were running old firmware which does not support SNMP and that the most current version (1.4.0.88) does support it. I attempted to upgrade the firmware but it failed, so I decided to install the 1.1.2.0 firmware because I read that the firmware flash process has changed before 1.4
Unfortunately, after rebooting I was no longer able to access web management on the switch. Unfortunately SF200 switches do not support CLI.
The switch is functional and responds to ping, but I cannot get into management to do anything, is there any steps we can try or will I need to reset the switch? After resetting the switch, will I lose any configuration but still not be able to access management? We do not have any other switches to drop in place of this one, and I'd like to minimize downtime as much as possible.
    thanks,
    Graham Rounds

    Hi Graham,
if you are sure that the ping response is coming from the switch then I guess the only thing you could try is the factory reset but you will loose all the configuration. You might call also Small Business Team and open a ticket so they will proceed with RMA if necessary:

  • Other members of my family are able to access my ".me" e-mail account. How do I set my account so that only I am able to access that account?

Other members of my family are able to access my ".me" e-mail account. How do I set my account so that only I am able to access that account?

Are you sharing the same iCloud account with your family members and they all have access to the password?
If so, that's why. iCloud accounts are not designed to be shared if you want to keep your email, contacts, calendars etc. seperate.

  • Upgraded to Mountain Lion and CS3, I am no longer able to access the correct dialog box for fine printing with Epson Stylus Photo 1400.

I have recently upgraded my Mac OS to Mountain Lion, and am using Photoshop CS3 together with Lightroom 5. To my absolute horror, in either Adobe program I am no longer able to access the dialog box which allows me to choose paper type, size, and print quality when attempting to print on my Epson Stylus Photo 1400. An excruciating hour on the phone with largely unintelligible folks at Epson seemed to prove the problem lies with Adobe instead of Epson. I'd greatly appreciate whatever advice might be forthcoming from the Community.

Well, this seemed to work.. can't believe it! After a year of messing with this!
    from Stevejones5
"I found a way around this problem. GO to HD/Library/Printers/Epson/InkjetPrinter/ICCProfiles and you will find a file labeled Pro38.profiles. This is a package file. Control click on it and reveal contents. Then you can copy all the profiles and paste them into your Colorsync folder either in the HD/Library folder or your own Home folder/Library. Then the profiles will show up in Photoshop and Lightroom."
Key, is to Control click on the printer to "Open contents". Then open Resource folder. Copy everything in it and then paste it into the "Colorsync" folder in your Library.  (Remember, to get to Library you have to hold the command key down for it to appear in "Go" Menu for Finder.
Then I reinstalled printer driver from Apple, then rebooted computer, then plugged in printer. And VOILA-- I can now select Epson Premium Photo Paper Luster!

I smashed my IPAD glass and after having it repaired I am no longer able to access wifi unless I am right next to my router.  Has anyone else had this experience and what is solution?

Given the complexity in merely getting the thing open, that is likely. Or they forgot to reconnect it. See #14  and from #52 on down in: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing+iPad+2+GSM+Bluetooth-Wi-Fi+Antenna/6166/1

  • I can log into my iTunes account but can not access my account details, what's wrong?

I'm starting a new discussion here even though there is really nothing new to add to this discussion:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3572699?start=0&tstart=0
I can sign in to iTunes with my apple ID no problem. However when I click account from the drop down menu (by my ID in the right hand corner of the iTunes screen) I get a sign in window in which my ID is filled in but it wants my password which I duly fill in . At this point the window just keeps coming back up for me to fill in. If I fill my password in wrongly I get red text telling me so.
So basically I can't view my account details even though I'm clearly logged in. I'm increasingly worried because If I can't access my iTunes account data how do I know my credit card is not being used by someone else?
I'm guessing it's a problem specific to my machine (MBP running up to date Lion) I'm wondering if it could be connected to the safari cookie problem that affects other issues with pop up windows as documented (and solved) here:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3502463?start=45&tstart=0
Only I don't have that problem any more!
Help would be very much appreciated.

    Problem solved!
I started to suspect that the problem was with my computer rather than the apple servers.
Reparing disc permissions from Disc Utility seemed like an obvious thing to try but I thought I had done this without it working. However on OSX daily  I read..."In mac OSX Lion repairing permissions from the Disk Utility app doesn’t repair the users file permissions"! Hmm nice one Apple- reparing permissions does not repair permissions! It seems that you have to use disc utility from recovery mode.
I then followed these instructions on OSX daily (dot com)
Repairing a Mac Boot Disk with Disk Utility & OS X Lion
Reboot the Mac and hold down Command+R  (To boot into recovery)
Select “Recovery HD” at the boot menu
At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select “Disk Utility”
Select the boot volume or partition from the left menu and click on the “Repair” tab
Repair Disk is now possible, click on “Repair Disk” to repair the boot volume
Now verify disk permissions and repair them
This solved the problem for me
    Hope it helps......
Am I allowed to award myself a greenie? Well I'm going to anyway because it was a pile of work getting to the bottom of this and I hope it helps others.

  • Since ff4 beta download, i am no longer able to access windows live log in or hotmail in 3.6.8 can it beta though. tried uninstal and removal of beta and no luck

since the first download of FF4 beta 4 my version of 3.6.8 is not able to access hotmail in any way. can not get the windows live log in page from any method. Not from the MSN link to hotmail or address bar attempts. i get the same error page that there is a problem with the site or something temporary but I can access all hotmail and windows live in ff4 beta. I have uninstalled both and reinstalled 3.6.8 and still am no longer able to go to hotmail. if i want hotmail in ff i need to use the beta version with no other addons. i tried 3.6.8 in safe mode too and no luck. IE8 had no problems and there are no problems with the windows live site as the error page implies. the problem is in 3.6.8 adn i do not know what. i have tried eliminate all add ons and still can not get to hotmail or windows live log in.

I was able to partially fix this by removing both the beta version and the original 3.6.8 with revo uninstaller in a high mode and got everything but my prefs. It turns out there was a corruption of both as the profiles overlapped somehow. I opted to do a cookie removal of all the cookies that had anything to do with hotmail and windows.live.com sites as one or some of them were corrupt. By doing that i was able to save the rest of my prefs. The only thing is that sync will not work, has an unknown error whenever it tries to sync. I guess i have to redo the sync again as it can not adapt.
I do not have beta anymore, I was sent an email that I would have to put it on a different directory ,which i had and another email that i had to use the -P option to have a separate profile and uncheck the box 'dont ask at start up' where ever it is. I had not been successful in just the normal uninstallation /reinstallation process but would had to remove all the prefs, and customizations as well and i opted to just change or remove the hotmail things first. so far it has addressed the one question /problem i had.

  • Bought my daughter ipod touch 4th gen to replace her old one and want to get it ready for xmas by transferring her old content to new - how do i do it? secondly, if the old ipod is sold will the purchaser have access to account details?

Bought my Daughter new ipod touch 4th gen to replace her old one and i want to get it ready for christmas by transferring everything (games, music etc) - how do i do this?
Also, if she sells her old one, would the new owner have access to account/bank details?

You can transfer iTunes purchases from the old iPod to your computer then sync the new iPod.
Connect the old iPod, launch iTunes. From the menu bar click File > Transfer Purchases From
Now connect the new iPod and sync Apps, Music, etc.
As for selling the old one tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
That will erase all personal data from the iPod.

  • No longer able to access websites needing passwords from Itouch

I have a 2G Itouch 16GB. Its abouts 6 weeks old - I downloaded the software upgrade as soon as I bought it - so yes the wi-fi is not great and drop out often !
My problem is that I originally used to log onto sites via links in my emails e.g. for paying my phone bills, booking cinema tickets (they all need user id's and passwords). Recently I have not been able to access these sites from my Itouch despite being able to access them from my pc.(I know the id and passwords are correct) .
I either get thrown back to the log on page and asked to re-enter or I get 'site ID missing from request'. I've tried accessing the same sites via Safari and not via the email link and I get the same problem. Surf the web is fine its just accessing sites.
Its really annoying as I it used to work really well. Have contacted the apple support desk and they stated there is nothing wrong and said the website must be blocking my itouch .... like they all got together on the same day to stop me ..mmm !
Any ideas? (I've reset Network setting and cleared cache and history)
    thanks

ODP.NET and Oracle client use some unmanaged DLLs, some of which are shared with other Oracle client apps. Whenever you install a new Oracle client, the newly installed unmanaged client DLLs take precedence over your previously used DLLs. That's why you are seeing this error.
You can direct your .NET apps to use specific Oracle client DLLs tied to your ODP.NET version in your .NET config files. Read more here:

  • No longer able to access shared files on my pc over my network from my mac

For months I have been able to access my shared files folder located on my pc, sharing a network with my PowerBook G4 (OS X 10.3 +). Suddenly, when I try to access the pc now, I get the spinning beachball and nothing. I can see my pc in the network, but it doesn't open. I haven't made any changes on the pc side, except perhaps the windows security updates that come along once in a while. (I did try to access it with the firewall turned off just in case, but no dice).
Does anyone have any ideas or things I could try to shake this out?

Adobe Story stores its local files on the following location:
    On Windows,
    1. Open Windows Explorer and type '%appdata%' in the address bar
    2. Make a copy of 'com.adobe.AdobeStory.<some-number>' folder. This folder contains Story's local data.
    On Mac,
    1. Open Finder.
    2. From 'Go' Menu, open 'Go to folder'
    3. Type '~/Library/Preferences' and hit enter
    4. Make a copy of 'com.adobe.AdobeStory.<some-number>' folder. This folder contains Story's local data.
