No longer able to download pdfs, tried all the stuff on the help page, is this a result of the new version of Adobe Acrobat 10.1.3?
Previously, I had no difficulty w/ downloading pdfs. Now all I get is a blank Firefox screen, with nothing else happening--no downloads window opening up like before, or anything else. I recently upgraded my Adobe Acrobat to 10.1.3, and I wonder whether this is related to that? Does FireFox not find the new Acrobat?
I've gone through the things on the Firefox help page like changing download folder and renaming the whatever folder it was from what: rdp? to rdp.old. Does not effect problem.
Thanks Matt. I finally seem to have got it working better now with having gone into the Preferences, Applications, and selected "USE Adobe Acrobat Pro (default)" It had somehow gotten switched to "USE Adobe Acrobat NPAPI plugin..."
I admit to not knowing what I'm doing, but this switch seems to have made it workable again.

I have OX S yosemite, I unistalled adobe acrobat, I closed safary and I installed the new version of adobe acrobat
but when I open a web page that I need to allow me to display and modify PDF files it is not working.

The AdobePDFViewer plug-in is used to display PDF files in Safari using Acrobat and Reader.
This plug-in is installed as part of the Acrobat X or Reader X installation. The location of this plug-in is:

but after the new installation with this folder is completely empty and I am still
unable to open these pdf.
Does anybody knows anything else I can do?

I am not able to download PDF files all the sudden.
Recently I tried to download a manual for a PowerMac G4. I used my Intel iMac running Snow Leapard. I just got a message that ot could not downlaod the file. (I can't remember the exact language.) I researched it on the Web and it seems that the solution was to trash adobe reader, reboot. After that fix the permissions. Well, evey time I fixed the permissions so they were all fixed, Then I checked them again and once again they were wrong. I don't have a clue.
One more thing, the 160GB drive ot so full that I could not install Snow Leadard. So I cloned the drive ans bought a 1TB drive. Then I had the Apple Techs at Micro Center swap out the drives. Everthing worked great and ten I intalled Snow Leapard. I now kick my self for cleaning the permissions before I swapped te drives.what I should do if I use the iPad . I can't fill forms from same website. And when I open the form online the adobe message come on the forme that tells me that I need version 11 of Adobe . What should I do . I am new on Appel gadgets thanks folks

I cannot download .pdf files with the new version of Firefox
Using Firefox 1.5, .pdf files automatically download to my desktop. With Firefox 3.6.13 a new tab/window opens and a box where the document should appear remains blank. When I attempt to 'right' click on the link, it doesn't allow me to download the linked file, only the linked address. I am able to open the .pdf files using another web browser such as Sarfari

i did download the new version of adobe but a massage showed all the time (Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser)
You downloaded Adobe... what? Adobe has tons of applications.

Three things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

It should do but nobody can guarantee it 100%.
The best thing is to download the trial version and install that. When you install it, it should take a copy of your current catalog and then convert that copy to the new format. Your Photoshop Elements 9 should not be affected.
It is always a good idea to ensure that you have a backup of your catalog & photos when you start a major update like this. Take a backup using the Elements Backup to Hard drive option (under File menu) - best backed up to an external drive.
It is ok to have both version installed on your system but I suggest that you just use the version 12 to check out the catalog conversion to start with. If you are happy with that, you can always run the conversion at a later stage if you have updated the version 9 catalog. You can not convert the version 12 catalog back to a version 9 catalog.

Assuming Allan's advice is not correct, and you do run the installer, I think I've heard of that problem and it involves removing the old Flash plug-ins, then install the new version. I don't use it so I don't know what they are called, but will be the /Library/Internet Plug-ins folder.
You can go here and enable HTML5 in YouTube so you don't have to use Flash: http://www.youtube.com/html5
Most(?) of the content is HTML5, but you may run into videos where you still need Flash. -
Every time I try to download the new version of Adobe Flash Player it saves as a .txt file and I do not know how to get it to save in the correct format.

If you ordered Acrobat via subscription, then you can use either Windows or Mac version. Just download/install the Mac version, then activate it with your Adobe ID.
If you purchased the perpetual license, then you need to Contact Customer Care bu chat or phone.
