No longer able to hear audio on youtube videos

Since upgrading to Firefox 23.0.1, I noticed I was having intermittent issues with no audio in Youtube videos. I have since discovered that, if I go to youtube to watch a video, there is no audio. The weird thing about this, though, if the video is linked through a forum, and I watch it embedded through that forum, it works fine.
Other video sites (test site linked in the FAQ and the videos on mozilla.org) work fine. If I open the youtube video in IE, it works fine.
I've tried searching these forums and the internet in general, but I'm not seeing anything similar.

Did you check the volume setting for the plugin-container in the volume mixer via its icon on the Windows Task bar (notification area)?

After installing an update I am no longer able to hear sound out of my speakers. A red light comes on where the headphone jack is. I have already attempted to trip to switch with a wooden toothpick in the headphone jack but have not had luck.

Have you gone into system prefs nad made sure that the headphone port is set to audio out. And not audio in.
Also make sure that you are selecting built in speakers for your audio output.
If that does not fix it try doing a Pram reset.
Shut your mac down.
Press the startup button.
Hold down the following keys. Command Option P and R. Wait till you hear the chime 2 times. Then let go. See if that fixes it.

- You are doing a double upmix/downmix. For me, I tried playing a movie I bought from ITUNES. It was 00% 5. sound but I, like you, only heard 4 channels. Then I realized that on my Logitech analog speakers that I had pressed the "matrix" button which is meant to physically take stereo and put it through all fi've speakers. So VLC was playing the file just fine but my speakers were taking the fi've to one sound and making it stereo.

The first thing I would suggest is to run through the guide by Daniel_Potyrala on the link below to completely uninstall and then reinstall the Flash Player Plug-in.

Only audio from youtube videos

My nokia 5800 default browser will only play audio from youtube videos. I found this strange because it worked normally before. But i can see the video using the youtube app but its annoying if you get and fb post with a video and you have to search it to see it. Thanks in advance.

After the ios 6 upgrade I found the only what to use airplay to watch you videos is to use either safari or the video app. The Youtube app doesn't work properly on any apple product. My app on my apple tv wont read the google information anymore so I dont have the playlists, history or any other such thing. You can use mirroring as well but it is a pain in the back side to use and looks like crap.

You probably need to update Flash Player.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

YouTube might have changed the setting.
Hover the mouse near the speaker and and hold to reveal the volume slider.
Increase the volume level.

Cannot hear audio when capturing video.

I'm an owner of a skate shop. I doing filming frequently, and just recently got my first Mac computer. I got FCE4 for capturing and editing my footage for a video that I'm working on. Just started using it today, have no idea how to get the audio to play WHILE I'm capturing the tape. It will play in the timeline after it's done capturing, but I'd like to be able to hear it (without plugging in headphones or speakers to the camera) while I'm capturing it. A friend told me it could possibly be an easy fix... any suggestions? Is it something as easy as checking or unchecking a box????

Does your camera have a small built in speaker?
That will work if the volume is turned up.

please help. when i play the .mov format in primere PRO CS5,i can both hear and see the videos........ but when i try to browse in the bridge cs5, than i can only hear the audio, but i cannot see the video? By the way i am on win7 / 64bits

No speaker audio in youtube videos

when in facebook or watching youtube my speakers have no sound, but if i change playback devices to hdmi monitor built in speakers i have sound. my speakers in windows media player are operating with sound. these all happened after installing adobe flash player which is obligatory for facebook display of received videos .

I have read your post on how you are not able to get sound from streamed videos on YouTube and Facebook, but are able to using Windows Media Player. I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Since you mentioned that you installed adobe flash player on your system, I recommend turning the hardware acceleration off. This can be done by following this document on How to Turn off Hardware Acceleration. This should help enable the sound on your system for streamed videos.

No Audio on YouTube Videos with Safari

Will not receive audio in most YouTube videos, including my own when using Safari. Other browsers work fine. I have an iMac 27" 3.06 OS Mountain Lion 10.8.2

I can not hear the sound on a youtube video that appears within an app. I can hear sound on youtube videos outside of the app. This is strange, because on other ipads the sound does play within the app. Is there something I need to change in settings?

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

Videos on YouTube are all black even while able to hear audio

Details of my concern:
Safari: 8.0.2v
MAC OSX: 10.10.1
Actions performed:
Safari --> Develop --> Empty Caches
Safari --> Preferences -->Privacy --> Remove all Website details.
Conclusion:
1. After performing all the actions still problem persist.
2. Randomly video is visible and randomly it disappears.
