No longer able to logon to Windows 10

I have recently upgraded to build # 9879. Since the intial login after updating, I have been unable to login at all with my MSoft account. Since I am, obviously, logged on here, with the same account, I know what my password is and can type it in properly.
The only thing I can think of causing this problem would be the OneDrive Sync. My One Drive account was NOT established with my MSoft account. Therefore it does not have the same password. If this is the assumption, it is a darn silly and stupid assumption
to make.
I would appreciate any help in correcting this situation. And since I cannot login to Windows 10, I obviously cannot correct it from there. Also, restarting from the initial release and re-installing builds is not an option.

You don't have to start from day one.
You can just re-install build 9879.

In case you wonder about Enterprise version, it has everything build 9879 supposed to have, plus a few features meant for business people. Such as Windows to go etc.
You don't have to use it.
I installed mine in my home computer which is not meant for doing business.

No longer able to move individual windows to different desktops.

Recently ran into an issue, where I couldn't not move open applications between windows.
For example, I have iMail running in Desktop 1, and wanted to copy a single piece of email to Desktop 2, where I have a web browser running.
In another example, I wanted to copy an Email from Desktop 1 to Desktop 3, where I had Terminal running. This used to work fine when I would bring up Mission Control and copy the individual email or terminal into another Desktop. However, as of 10/13/2012, I can not longer do this, instead I see the icon for the app in Mission Control. So instead of the individual emails showing up, the Mail icon appears and if I move the mail icon to another desktop, the entire Mail app moves to that desk top...not what I wanted.
Currently running 10.8.2 (12C60) there was a minor mail update I did this weekend through the App store, although not sure exaxctly what it was. Mail version is Version 6.2 (1499)
Any help is appreciated as this is very frsutrating.
For the record, I've looked at other co-workers running the same environment, and still seeing the old behavior.

If you are unable to move message to the trash on your iPad, then make sure to ensure that the settings for Trash is correct. You can find out how to do that below and if you are still having issues, then remove the email account and add it back in.

Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar. Then tap your email.
Tap Account.
Tap Advanced.
Tap Deleted Mailbox and make sure it's set to Trash.
Tap Advanced > Account. Then tap Done.
If you see the issue again, repeat steps 1 through 3, tap IMAP Path Prefix, then Inbox. After you make your changes, tap Account, then Done.

No longer able to create a new message window in Apple Mail

Please help! When I am in Apple Mail, I am no longer able to create a new message window (Command-N), and so cannot send any mail. This just started after the most recent OS update yesterday.

Have you tried
1. clicking on the New Message icon?
2. File menu / New Message?
I am trying to figure out if your problem is because Mail is not working, or whether it is a problem elsewhere, e.g. the keyboard.

I got this message today too. I understand that my music is stored on my computer, however I want to be certain that if I re-install iTunes, it won't erase my library....playlists, playcounts, checked songs, etc.

Never heard of that being caused by installing iTunes. Try asking on a Windows forum. This isn't a problem with iTunes or any other Apple product. If you believe it is, uninstall iTunes. If the problem persists, you'll have to seek advice on a Windows forum or contact Microsoft for support.

No longer able to see more than one window on screen at the same time

In the last 2 days or so, I am no longer able to have a Safari window on screen at the same time as my Mail window. Same with Applications, I was working on a project in InDesign and wanted to check out how to print it booklet & double sided with my Epson printer but as soon as the Safari window is on screen the Indesign one disappears, which is no use at all for following instructions. I used to be able to have numerous windows available on screen at the same time (4 isn't unusual for me).
Does anyone know what has changed? The only thing I'm conscious of doing was moving my dock and hiding it so I've put it back to where it was and always visible but I still can't have 2 different windows on screen at the same time. Any help/advice gratefully received, thanks

Not sure I understand!
Do you get an error when attempting to have two windows opened?
A silly question on my part maybe but have you tried resizing the windows to more than one will be visible?
To re-size a window left click the mouse to grab the bottom right corner of the window, hold the click and drag the window up, down, left or right to re-size.
Alternately you can try clicking the green plus button on the on the top left corner of the window. This will automatically re-size the window to its best viewing size.
Did you by change change the resolution of your monitor from System preferences?

I guess I didn't explaine that I have a healthy operating Windows 8 Boot camp partition on my hard drive. When I upgraded to Mavericks I am no long able to access the bootcamp partition from the disk icon in system preferences; the Windows 8 works fine.

On both Mini Mac and iMac 27" I am no longer able to utalize the Startup Disk icon in System Preferences; the Windows 8 on Bootcamp partition works fine if I close the Mavericks OX and select the Windows partition at bootup from the hard drive. My question is why don't the icon in System Prederences work anymore since I upgraded to Mavericks. Also, Users & Groups, Printers & Scanners icons no longer work either.

No longer able to select a Printer in Print Dialog Box - Windows 7 with CS

SInce installing Windows 7 I can no longer select a printer in the Page Setup Dialog Box. Instead it always defaults to the default printer. Is there a fix for this?

You assume too much. I am not mucking around with the iPhoto Library.
Here is an example of my problem:
Open Address Book
Select a Contact
Click Edit
Double Click the Photo icon
A dialog appears for me to "Choose" a photo
Click Choose...
Another dialog appears for me to browse to the photo that I would like to attach to that conract
I select my username under "Favorites", then expand the "Pictures" folder
When I click on iPhoto Library, I am no longer able to expand it and presented with the photos, events, faces, albums within it, but only get an icon for the iPhoto Library instead.

Since ff4 beta download, i am no longer able to access windows live log in or hotmail in 3.6.8 can it beta though. tried uninstal and removal of beta and no luck

since the first download of FF4 beta 4 my version of 3.6.8 is not able to access hotmail in any way. can not get the windows live log in page from any method. Not from the MSN link to hotmail or address bar attempts. i get the same error page that there is a problem with the site or something temporary but I can access all hotmail and windows live in ff4 beta. I have uninstalled both and reinstalled 3.6.8 and still am no longer able to go to hotmail. if i want hotmail in ff i need to use the beta version with no other addons. i tried 3.6.8 in safe mode too and no luck. IE8 had no problems and there are no problems with the windows live site as the error page implies. the problem is in 3.6.8 adn i do not know what. i have tried eliminate all add ons and still can not get to hotmail or windows live log in.

I was able to partially fix this by removing both the beta version and the original 3.6.8 with revo uninstaller in a high mode and got everything but my prefs. It turns out there was a corruption of both as the profiles overlapped somehow. I opted to do a cookie removal of all the cookies that had anything to do with hotmail and windows.live.com sites as one or some of them were corrupt. By doing that i was able to save the rest of my prefs. The only thing is that sync will not work, has an unknown error whenever it tries to sync. I guess i have to redo the sync again as it can not adapt.
I do not have beta anymore, I was sent an email that I would have to put it on a different directory ,which i had and another email that i had to use the -P option to have a separate profile and uncheck the box 'dont ask at start up' where ever it is. I had not been successful in just the normal uninstallation /reinstallation process but would had to remove all the prefs, and customizations as well and i opted to just change or remove the hotmail things first. so far it has addressed the one question /problem i had.

I RESOLVED THE ISSUE. I uninstalled the converter. Re installed after a cold boot.
The sites that would not load properly: I did a ixquick search of the titles that wouldn't download and found them at another location. They then downloaded perfectly. from the new location

Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load. Open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

The software on the CD will not run on a Mac.
You may be able to navigate through the CD and pull out the image files, however.

Windows NTFS network drive no longer able to edit files in Osx 10.9

In the OSX 10.8x and before, the network drive hosted by Windows 2008 server in our .local domain was able to be modified by my imac under a local user account with the same user name without any problem. The only issue was not able to join the AD due to the existing .local domain setup. Upon upgrading to OSX 10.9 today, the network drive still connect properly, and the files on the share drive is still able to be opened, read, copied and deleted as before. However, any attempt to save the changes to the opened file display an error message saying that it is been locked and I have no privilege to modify the file. The funny thing is now that the mac computer is able to join the windows AD without problem, although under the network account, the same problem exited. Something has to do with the SMB right/ share has been changed in this release. Anyhelp on how I may resolve this problem?

I'm hoping you or someone can solve this. We're using Tuxera to add SMB NTFS write capabilities to Mavericks and it works great for everything ... except for iWork 2013. iWork 09 still reads and writes perfectly, as does every other app I have on my Mac.
At this point, I fear using iWork 2013 in a mixed Windows/OSX environment is dead if your server is NTFS. It's another quiver in Microsoft's argument that iWork is for children only. Despite all the griping about deprecated functions in the new iWork, there's no show stoppers as far as I'm concerned, and I use Pages, Keynote and Numbers in serious ways daily.

Here is something to try. Boot into the Recovery HD by holding
down Command+R when booting. Select the get help online option.
It initially opens Safari with a local web page, but you can use
the bookmarks on the bookmark bar or even enter a website.
Many extensions may not be available but it could tell you if
it is your Lion install that is a problem or perhaps a hardware
problem.
If you can browse around in this mode, then it could eliminate
any possible hardware issues. If you still have problems, then
the issue could possibly be hardware/driver related.
Give it a shot and see what happens.

PEAP Logon under windows 2000

I use MS Peap on windows 2k with all the 802.1x patches and so on. every think works fine. the only thing is that the logon process takes tooo long so the logon scripts are not able to complet sucessfully bc the client doesnt have an ip address. is there any solution for that problem?

We had a similar problem. During the boot up process the client would start the EAP authentication but the AP would disassociate the client before the client finished booting up. The user had to wait until the PEAP authentication started again (approx 1 minute) before they could login.
We finally solved the problem by applying the MS patches 313664 & 823859 (install in that order) and upgrading the AP firmware (we are still Vxworks) to 12.03T. 12.02T does not work! Also make sure computer authentication is check on the client. Im not sure if MS has released patch 823859I had to call them to get it. Now our users can login as soon as the login screen appears and successfully run the login scripts, etc..
