No Longer Able To Resize Images (PDF Attachments)

I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and am now unable to resize my PDF attachments once they are within an email.
Maybe I'm missing something, but in the older version of Mail / Leopard I was able to easily resize my attached PDF's on the fly by simply adjusting their size from a drop-down menu in the lower-right corner of the email window by selecting: Image Size: "Small" "Medium" "Large" or "Actual Size."
To the best of my knowledge, this window no longer exists for PDF's, although it is still available for attached JPEG resizing.
I am deeply invested into using and resizing PDF's in my workflow and would like to regain this ability.
Any suggestions or solutions for this dilemma would greatly be appreciated.

Please check this further -- make sure you open the PDF with a PDF reader in a copy either sent to yourself or in the Sent mailbox. Do not base the resolution on what you see if it is a one page PDF, and Mail is displaying it in the message with View in Place. The View in Place is not the full story.

When inserting images into a blog post I used to be able to resize images, add margins, etc. I tried to do this recently but those tools were no longer there. Is this no longer available? Below is a screenshot of what it used to look like.
Since there is no featured image for blog posts I've been inserting images into the first paragraph as a work around. Not being able to edit those images directly in the blog module is going to make that more difficult.
I've been able to resize the image through code, but this is not exactly user friendly for clients.

Go into site settings / beta features/ untick active beta feature untick "enable for everybody". That should do the trick.

Below is a copy of an 8/7/2013 email from adobe. I prepaid a one-year subscription, and, until I recently upgraded to Windows 8, I was able to make several dozens of merged pdf documents. I seem to be no longer able to use the merge feature that I had successfully and repeated used. When I search for the merge feature I end up with a request that I pay for an upgrade monthly subscription to use the merge feature.

Make sure the pdf has the '.pdf' extension on the file name. I've seen this a few times and adding the extension usually solves the problem.

I am no longer able to resize my firefox window horizontally, any ideas?

I noticed earlier that I can no longer resize my firefox window horizontally, the border seems to have disappeared. I've searched, using google and various other sites to find a solution to this and I'm coming up short. I've tried multiple things, safe mode, hitting F11, clearing the cache/cookies, even reinstalling. The issue still exists and I don't know what caused it. It is also affecting various flash applications, they no longer scale to the window size and parts are cut off. Any ideas?

I can resize it using the arrow keys after selecting size but it doesn't solve my issue - once resized I still cannot use my mouse to resize it like I've always been able to. I can resize it Vertically fine but Horizontally doesn't work regardless of what I've tried. I gave thought to the localstore being corrupted as well and even tried making a new profile, it didn't solve the issue. I have added a screenshot showing the window, I don't have it maxed, I used to have 2 borders - 1 on the left and 1 on the right that I could hover over and it would let me resize using the mouse. They no longer exist. I'm using the default theme even since that was suggested as a solution on another forum topic.
Also, small edit, I apologize for choosing the solution as the fix, it's 3 am and I'm half asleep so I clicked the button meaning to click reply.
Second edit: I noticed one of my explorer windows having the same issue and part of the border not being there at all so I unloaded Windowblinds and the problem is solved, looks like my profile on it got damaged. Thanks for the replies. Topic can be closed.

I'm working on a MAC and my LR4 is no longer able to read images off my memory cards.

I've never had a problem before, this just started yesterday. I tried importing images off my SanDisk and my LR4 was unable to read the images. On the same Mac, I was able to import the same images into iPhoto. I tried taking pictures using another card and came across the same problem when trying to import. I was told from a professional photographer friend that this is a very shady way of getting one to upgrade. Please tell me that's not true.

When deleting the preferences file do I delete all the files? Specifically, I see:

No longer able to view images saved on external HD

I have been using an external HD for about 9 months and it holds my iTunes and iPhoto libraries. In the past few months I have encountered a problem opening photos with iPhoto: I can see the photo rolls (thumbnails), but when I double click on the thumbnail, the image flashes up at full size but then disappears and is replaced by an error page (grey backgound, white dotted line around where the image would have been, and an exclamation mark in the middle). The curious thing is that I only have this problem with landscape photos - portrait photos open without any problems. This problem applies to new photos as well as photos that have previously been opened while on the external HD.
I can open the images in other applications (including Photoshop, safari, and firefox) without any problems. I also have no problems with the iTunes library.

The ! or ? turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
The most common cause of this is User Activity in the iPhoto Library Folder in the Finder.
Have you altered, moved or renamed anything in the iPhoto Library Folder?
If you haven't, then try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose the top three options.
If that fails, also try Download BatchMod from
http://macchampion.com/arbysoft/
And apply it to the iPhoto Library Folder using the settings found here:

How do you do this? By surfing the iPhoto Library Folder with these apps? This is not recommended and could be the cause of your issue.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

As of January 25, I'm no longer able to resize column widths in Yahoo Mail Inbox--still works in Internet Explorer.

* I know how column resizing works and have done it regularly in the Yahoo Inbox
* I've logged out/in of Yahoo, restarted my Firefox browser session, rebooted my computer
* Other than anti-virus and other auto-updates, there haven't been any system changes (e.g. no new software loaded, configuration changes)

The internet service you are using is the ones blocking the email from being sent out. You would need to contact them to see what they are restricting.

We have a shared PDF out on the network that our end users use for requesting new employee access. It's worked fine forever. We are currently running Reader 11. All of a sudden it has quit working, can't figure it out. Anyone seen this before.

Do you get any specific error message?

After installing PSE 10 on OS X Lion, no longer able to select pictures from iPhoto library

I've downloaded and installed Photoshop Elements 10 on my MacBook Pro, which is running OS X 10.7.4. After installation and importing the photos from iPhoto, I noticed that I am no longer able to select images from my iPhoto library from other applications, such as Facebook, Address Book, etc. (ie; typically in a dialog to select a photo or image, simply browse to iPhoto library to get access to all Events, Albums, Faces, etc.).
This capability now seems to be broken even if I browse to the iPhoto Library using Finder. Showing Package Contents on the iPhoto Library reveals that all the images are there.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Drilling into the file structure of the PE Organizer is painful at best.

Double Click the Photo icon
A dialog appears for me to "Choose" a photo
Click Choose...
Another dialog appears for me to browse to the photo that I would like to attach to that conract
I select my username under "Favorites", then expand the "Pictures" folder
When I click on iPhoto Library, I am no longer able to expand it and presented with the photos, events, faces, albums within it, but only get an icon for the iPhoto Library instead.
This is part of the way a Mac works, and is now broken. It exhibits this in Address Book and any other program, and it was working fine until I installed PSE 10.

How to add external images onto a control and still be able to resize

I'm a LabVIEW newbie. I'm trying to customize the appearance of my VIs, and one of the things I like to do is to import external image and paste it onto the faceplate of the gauge indicator. I've followed the instruction in the Labview application note using the control editor and was able to paste the picture into indicator. But when I use it in the front panel and resize the gauge indicator, the image (added as a decoration) doesn't resize together with the indicator. My questions are:
1. How to add external images onto a control/indicator and still be able to resize the image automatically when I resize the control/indicator?
2. How to "add" a new part to an existing control/indicator? It looks like I can only customize/modify the existing parts of the control/indicator in the control editor.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

1/ Do not use the image as an added decoration. Instead replace part of the control with the image. Tis is illustrated in the attached vi : the arrow was pasted as a decoration, and also used to replace the slide cursor. Changing the control size do not affect the decoration, but changes the cursor.
2/ What do you mean by adding new parts to a control. We have just seen that it was possible to modify a control. Now, if you want to include additionnal functionnality, that's another story. You can replace parts of the control, and this can give interesting results. You can edit a slide control, and replace the numeric indicator by another control, including a numeric indicator, that you can replace with etc...
But there, it still the same info displayed under different forms. If you want to have several independant functions on the same control, such as a string display and a boolean and a numeric indicator, then that's a job for a cluster...

Unless you believe middle-click is yours and don't like it being usurped, mine is set globally to "Enter".

I'm no longer able to copy photos from email to my iPad photo stream. The Save menu doesn't come up like it did before. When I press on the image, I only get the option to Copy, and I can't paste it into my photo stream.

No longer able to scan photos from my PS3650 (Pacific Image) using PSE 10.0.

Configuration:
PC: Dell Inspiron 15R (new)
Photo Scanner: Pacific Image PS3650
OS: Windows 8.1
Photo SW: Photoshop Elements 10.0, PSE10.0
Scanner SW: Cyberview X5, CV-X5 (an upgrade to the original Cyberview X)
Beverage: Don Julio 1942 Tequila.
The error I get is:
"Cyberview X-MS
The software for this device can not be launched. The device is not connected or is busy."
It is neither. I am able to operate the scanner using the CV-X5 software directly but not through the PSE10.0 application. Is this a TWAIN or WIA issue?
I have loaded and reloaded both PSE10.0 and CV-X5 multiple times in accordance with the scanner user manual. I have also attempted to use the original CV-X software with similar results.
It may be worth noting that this setup using XP and CV-X used to work on my old PC. However, that configuration is no longer available and I would like to be able to use my updated PC with my existing scanning system.
