No longer able to update song lyrics

This issue is becomming extremely frustrating.
I can add lyrics to songs. However, I cannot change them after the first time. When I go to edit them, they're fixed on iTunes, but the corrected lyrics will not show up on my iTouch.
Deleting the song does not make a difference. The incorrect lyrics show up as soon as I put the song back on iTunes.
Seeing as I'm horribly OCD, seeing typos on my lyrics is very annoying. I thought the issue might be fixed with the recent iOS update, but it was not.
Has anybody else had this problem or been able to fix it?

  • I am no longer able to change songs using my headphones

After updating to iOS 6.0 on my iphone 4S I am no longer able to change songs using the headphone controls and when i double click on the home button it no longer allows me to turn my music on and off without unlocking the screen and going into the music app on the phone.
Any ideas why this is?  Is it a known bug?

Start by opening Disk Utility, from Applications > Utilities, then select the internal storage MacIntosh HD, and then Repair Permissions.  You should see some printer libraries noted as having the wrong permissions, that may be part of the problem.
Be sure you have the latest printer/scanner drivers installed by going to the Canon site and download the latest available.
You can also try using the Mac OS X built-in scanning software by going to Applications > Image Capture and see if that handles the scanning for you - works great with my Epson scanner.

My iPod Touch 4S is no longer able to update applications (They just sit and wait forever).  How do I fix this?

restore or reset your ipod. there is a problem with ipods atm so the best you can do is wait if neither restoring or reseting works.

  • HT4623 why is the original iPad no longer able to update

I have the original ipad & it says it is no longer eligible to update.  It is has plenty of memory so that isn't the problem

The minimum requirements (processor, ram, etc) don't meet the requirements for the current version of iOS.  Apple determined that the original iPad was not robust enough to run iOS 6 without degrading the user experience being degraded beyond their level of an acceptable costumer experience.
More or less if you want the newer versions/features it is time to upgrade.  I can say that most likely every 2-3 years is the upgrade cycle for iPads.

  • I am no longer able to purchase songs from iTunes.

When I click on the "buy" icon in iTunes, nothing happens. I don't get a warning, or anything. Just nothing happens. I can click on the arrow to the right of the "buy" icon and get the drop down menu that includes "gift this song, add to wish list" etc. I can click the arrow to the left of the song title and the sample plays without a problem.
    I can download "free" items.
All of my existing music plays just fine and I can upload it to my ipod without a problem.
I have re-entered my valid cc info. Updated my iTunes software. I have reviewed everything in my account to ensure accuracy.
I am using an older Mac running OS X 10.5.8
My cc expires in less than a month so I am wondering if that may be the problem.
I was able to purchase so a few weeks ago, in November, when it was more than a month before my cc expires, but suddenly am not.

I suddenly have the same exact problem with both my Macs - MBP 10.6.8 with iTunes 10.7, as well as an old PPC. The button for 'buy" "or "download" or "rent" is no longer functional. I click on the button but nothing happens.
And we're not alone - there are a lot of similar complaints just recently in Apple discussions and other forums in the past few days. It doesn't seem to matter which OS or iTunes version is used, or even if it's a Mac or PC. Apparently its only affecting some. So far, there doesn't seem to be a fix.
Maybe if enough people complain, Apple will find a fix.
Edit: I just saw this temporary fix on another thread that worked for me:
"click on drop-down, add to wish list, and then answer yes to the prompt about "prices may change, do you want to download now" works."

  • No Longer Able To Delete Songs, Permanently. 9.0.3

I updated to iTunes 9.0.3 yesterday.
Today I somehow realized the song files i was deleting, were still in my iTunes folders.
I can't necessarily blame the update because I am not sure how long this has been going on. However, I suspect I inspected because something didn't feel right about the song just disappearing after I hit delete.
I am aware of the following:
"Are you sure you want to permanently delete this file from iTunes?" this dialog box was no longer appearing. so I RESET all dialog warnings and now it does appear. Yet, once I delete, and click OK on permanently removing from iTunes Library, it is still to be found in iTunes Folder. This removes only from my Library and not from the folders, I understand. The real question is, why I am no longer being asked if I want to move to Trash, even after having reset all dialog warnings.
Also, "Hey, Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized." I admit, at times this box would be unchecked to stop the annoying delay of simply playing a song. Props to Apple, this delay is gone. Back to the point, with this option ON, after deleting a song, i still find them in their original iTunes Folders.
My only conclusion, this is a 9.0.3 issue.

See if this post by me applies:

  • No longer able to add songs from computer

On Friday I was able to successfully import songs from another location on my computer. Yesterday I went to import some more - after updating iTunes to the latest version. NO go - nothing happened. I've tried using the add folder option, the add file option and just dropping the file on my iTunes window. Nothing works. I completely uninstalled iTunes - to the point that I now have to rebuild all my playlists etc - and installed an older version. And still I am unable to add any songs. I had to burn them to a CD and then import that.
I am running Windows XP pro SP3 on a pentium 4 with 2GB of RAM and like I said...until I updated it was working fine.
Has anyone else had this problem? And if so have you found a resolution to it?
THANKS in advance for any help!

I just ran into this problem. Have you resolved it?
I noticed this week while running iTunes 9.2 on Windows 7 that I was missing a significant portion of my MP3 music from the library, music that I originally ripped and imported way back with iTunes 4.6. Somewhere my music got dumped from the iTunes library. Dragging the files/folders does nothing (iTunes does not add the music nor give any notification that it could not). Adding the music through menus has the same problem. The MP3 files play fine through Quicktime and Windows Media Player.
I found that if I removed ALL the ID3 tags with a 3rd-party application iTunes could then add the file.
    How do I fix this?

  • Help! No longer able to add songs to Ipod.

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum. I did not know where to turn for help. I have been trying to add new songs to my ipod for the last several weeks without success. I can add them to the library. I am able to drag them from the library to my ipod icon and the playlist I want to put them in. It shows up as updating. However, when I unplug the Ipod it is not there at all. I have tried this multiple times.
I saw a similar question on this forum, dated a little while back but no solution. Please help. My ipod was a gift loaded with thousands of songs that i do not have stored so i do not want to have to restore the ipod if avoidable.
    Thanks.

I can think of a few reasons as to why this is happening.
If you have recently switched computers which you update your iPod with, it might just be that the new computer is not compatible with your iPod.
The most probable reason I could think of is that you are not pressing the eject button before you remove the iPod, thus the newly added data would be removed.
If you cannot find a solution to this and you are going to reset your iPod, then use the program YamiPod (http://www.yamipod.com) which takes all the songs off your iPod and puts them onto your computer; you can then add them back once you have reformatted,

  • Keychain is no longer able to update itself when I upgrade an application

Recently, I have been experiencing a problem with Keychain Access. Whenever I upgrade an application that stores a password in my Keychain, I get the dialog box asking me if I want to update my keychain to correspond to the new version of the application. However, consistently, if I say yes, I get the spinning wait cursor and my computer starts to lag something awful. After a few minutes of spinning, the dialog box does disappear, but my keychain is not updated. Also, my computer then runs at an abysmally slow rate until I restart it.
The first couple of times I encountered this problem was only with the application Adium, and I thought the bug might be specific to that application, so I reported the bug to the Adium folks. (Other people had reported it as well, and no one seemed to have a solution.) However, I recently installed an iTunes upgrade, and I just experienced the exact same problem in iTunes, which leads me to believe that the problem is with OS X and/or Keychain Access and not with either Adium or iTunes.
If I manually delete my passwords from my Keychain, the upgraded applications have no problem whatsoever adding "new" passwords to my Keychain; the problem only arises when attempting to update my Keychain passwords to work with the new version of whatever software I recently upgraded.
For what it's worth, Keychain Access's "Keychain First Aid" finds no problems with my Keychain.
    Help?

Well, barring a Hardware problem, then let me give you my whole spiel!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, or things don't load/run, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates again, or even do an A&I if you have enough free disk space.

The combo update for Intel-based Macs...

Repair Permissions before & after re-install, then reboot again each time.
If all the above do not resolve the problem, then it's time for an Archive & Install, which gives you a new OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space...

That way I can wait a week or so, check the forums for potential problems, and get Permissions & such in order before installing.

  • I'm no longer able to update my Typepad blog in Firefox; nor can I view 'slideshow' in flickr. Something is wrong. I updated to 6 beta but that didn't fix it. What's wrong?

I can no longer update my blog in Firefox or view embeds that contain a flickr 'slide show'. I've double-checked on another computer with a different OS, same problem. These all work fine in other browsers. I updated Firefox just now but it didn't help. Has this bug been reported? Is there a fix? Thanks!

  • New iPod touch, no longer able to add songs via iTunes

Have a new iPod touch, less than a week old. 3.1.2 OS and 9.0.2 iTunes on an iMac.
Was loading songs manually, walked away for a little while, left the iPod connected, now I cannot add songs.
I've restored the iPod, still unable to drop songs onto it from iTunes. I set it to sync checked songs, will not load that way either.
It will load apps, I reloaded the apps, but songs will not go on it. Drive isn't full, after the restore I loaded apps, about 4 gigs worth, and tried songs but nada, zip, zilch.
    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

    Oddness...
Tried adding songs numerous ways, nothing. Walk away for a bit, come back, now I can add songs.
iPod gremlins? Taking it back tomorrow to see if they have any ideas...

  • I am no longer able to transfer songs from iTunes to iPhone 4

I have been unable to transfer music from iTunes to my iPhone 4 ever since I downloaded iOS 7.0.4.  I have restarted everything, checked settings, clicked on all song and then none at all.  I have backed up and synced at least 10 times.  I have no idea how to fix this problem.

It would go through the motions of syncing and show steps 1-5, then it would end. When I would check my phone the songs weren't there.
I ended up going back to my Summary tab, scrolling down to Options and choosing "Sync only checked songs and videos".  I clicked on Sync one more time and my songs showed up.  I guess that was the problem.

Thank you for advise, will try apple store  another thing how can I increase my ramm and memory
Check your machine's actual specifications here.
It looks like you can support up to 3 MByte in a 17" iMac and up to 4 Mbyte in a 20" iMac, if your cache size coordinates with the specs on the linked page.
OWC says you should be able to put 4 Gbyte into your machine here.  Wherever you get the memory, it would be a good addition.  This is the Apple Store listing for your machine, as near as I can figure it.

  • Updated my mac to mountain lion 10.8.3 and now my app store, mail or facetime won't open. Also, I am not longer able to play videos through firefox. I tried downloading the combo for mountain lion and it refuses to install? Can anyone help me?

updated my mac to mountain lion 10.7.8.3 and now my app store, mail or facetime won't open. Also, I am not longer able to play videos through firefox. I tried downloading the combo for mountain lion and it refuses to install saying that I need to see developer. Whenever I try to open my appstore, mail or facetime it says that the programmes need to be installed and might not be compatible with this version of mac operating system. Can anyone help me?

It's not a bad install of Mountain Lion. I've had the same thing happen to me, but it affected not only Mail, but a variety of other programs including iPhoto and MS Office, where I had to delete preferences, caches, and reinstall the OS as well as the program itself. I'm still having issues with Mail, so I've gone to another program.
Everything was fine upon the initial install. I restarted my iMac about two weeks after the install, and that's when the issues began to happen. I've reinstalled Mountain Lion twice, but the same issues arise.
As I mentioned above, you'll need to figure out which preferences are causing the issue, then reinstall the program, as a fresh reinstallation will do you no good unless you wipe the drive completely.
Here's a thread that helped me with iPhoto:
