No Longer Able to Use Phone on Extension

I've just had Infinity installed yesterday but there seems to be a problem with my existing setup.
Our house appears to have an old "star" wiring setup where there's a junction box outside where the line enters. From that box, three identical sockets spur out of it.
I used to have my old ADSL router at the front of the house, and a telephone in the back room of the house.
When I told the engineer, he seemed a bit clueless to the kind of wiring setup we had (although he did do a nice job, but I think he was only trained for new wiring setups). He replaced the socket I used to have ADSL on with a new NTE5 socket and filtered faceplate.
After many times going backwards and forwards to the cabinet wondering why the telephone had no dialtone, and the Openreach modem not having a DSL connection, he suggested bringing the phone to the front and plugging it into the NTE5.
Both pieces of equipment worked.
The problem is that having a phone at the front of the house isn't practical due to furniture and space requirements.
I assumed, before ordering Infinity, that any wiring alterations needed would be done with the installation, although as the engineer was from Kelly Communications, then obviously not?
Is there any way to get the wiring updated, and if so, would this incur a charge, and how much?

The extensions would have to be moved so that they are wired from the new master socket, as shown here.
Has your Infinity Installation been wired correctly?
Star wiring has to be disconnected as it will interfere with the DSL signal. I doubt that the installation person knew how to rewire it all.
You may find it easier and cheaper to use a DECT base station, and handsets

    You cannot.  Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
    it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
    Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.

    Well, it worked fine for me as well for the past couple of years. I had not had any problems using it for the past few years. I use a Mac OS X Yosemite.  As far as I can tell nothing had changed. I had not added any new updates, and a week ago the adjustment brush in camera raw simply ceased working. Everything else in camera raw works.  However, the adjustment brush is a critical tool. I have checked my permissions, and even repaired my permissions with no results.  Of course I have also tried several restarts to no avail.

    Never heard of that being caused by installing iTunes. Try asking on a Windows forum. This isn't a problem with iTunes or any other Apple product. If you believe it is, uninstall iTunes. If the problem persists, you'll have to seek advice on a Windows forum or contact Microsoft for support.

    Quicken is a PPC application. They will not work in Lion because Lion no longer supports Rosetta emulation.
    1. You can downgrade to Snow Leopard.
    2. You can switch to Quicken Essentials.
    3. You can purchase a different application that provides similar services for you. Examples are MoneyDance or MYOB.
    Downgrade Lion to Snow Leopard
    1.  Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
    This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard. I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.

    also, try to boot the computer in [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-hk/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7 Windows Safe mode with network support] (press F8 on the boot screen) and check firefox again.
    (If works in Windows Safe mode then probably you have problem with other software, like security software or maybe a system driver, that is running on your computer).

    I would first suggest uninstalling the software that is already on your computer for the printer. I have included the document 'Uninstalling the Printer Software'. Please choose the option for Windows 8, as it will be the same steps for Windows 8.1.
    After the uninstall is completed. Please download and run the Printer Install Wizard. This will make sure that you do get the most current and compatible software for your computer, and printer.
    Please let me know if you are able to install, and use your printer successfully, thank you.

    Here we have several projectors model VPL-ES4, we were using this projector with win7 however a few days they all stopped to show the image of computers accusing problem in frequency, we made all the alternatives so that One can be reestablished TRANSMISSION signal however all were in vain, reading in many forums found equal to our cases and the solution presented was to use a computer with win98 and it really worked, but with the end of support for this version of the system we are failing to use it, I wonder how we can solve this problem and why even this ocrrendo.

    Some other forum posts about this monitor indicate that there may have been two variants, but I can't find a different set of specs.

    Hi,
    Try the following.
    Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50856.exe
    When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
    When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load.  Open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

    Hi , Thanks for posting in the HP Forums, and welcome.  I understand you are having an issue selecting the manual duplex print setting for your HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw printer on your Mac computer running 10.10. I'd love to help you with this. Firstly, do you have the most recent HP Printer driver update installed? If not you can download it from the App Store here - HP Printer Drivers v3.1 for OS X Then, I'd recommend removing and re-adding your printer, to make sure you are using the correct driver (10.10 will often default to using an AirPrint driver which does not have a manual duplexing option). Click the Apple icon on your menu bar.Select System Preferences, then Printers and Scanners.Select your M1217 and click the (-) button to remove it.Press the (+), and then select Add Printer or Scanner. (NOTE: You don't want to add the printer as a "nearby printer" even if it is listed there)Select your printer from the list of available printers that loads.Make sure under "Use:" that it lists the printer name (not AirPrint), then select Add.Try printing your document(s) again.Please respond to let me know if we've resolved this issue!Good luck.

    even when you tell installation not to load babylon it still loads the product. No matter where I download it from. Have cleaned with malwarebytes spybot search and destroy and others. Why this is even included in the package is beyond my understanding.

    I removed Firefox from by windows 7 computer to get rid of Babylon. I then reinstalled from the official US site, however, when it came to the window which requires the password for administrator, it wouldn't accept a blank entry. I am not totally sure that is what I chose as administrator, since I have had the computer for three years or so, but I tried every password I can remember and none work. Unfortunately, a administrator password reset appears to be a big problem.
    Apparently, Firefox doesn't install from my personal account, even though I am set up as an admin. so I guess I will learn to live without it.
