No longer access to internet cafe networks WIFI

In internet cafes I get new the message:
"Your network Administrator has blocked you from connecting to this network"
I remember faintly that I may marked somewhere on this or another laptop on my home network that it cannot connect to another network.
I don’t remember where and cannot find the place again.
I have the following configuration on my laptop.
Router WAG160Nv2
Cisco Network Magic Pro   5.5
PC Tools Internet Security on
Windows Vista Ultimate
Windows Firewall is disabled.
Windows Defender is turned off.
The people from the router could not help, it may have nothing to do with the settings on the router.
Have you any hints ?

I have alredy tried the follwoing two comands, but got a message in the sense, that there are higher authorities then the administrator needed to perform it.
the following two commands in a cmd-Window with path to system32
>netsh wlan delete filter permission=denyall networktype=infrastructure
>netsh wlan delete filter permission=denyall networktype=adhoc

Sounds like a bogus pop up. In any case power down your Mac, your modem, your router. Then power back up in 1 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.

Sorry, no. Apple does not support downgrading.
Have you tried to go into your settings, reset, reset network settings? It'll erase your current network from your iPad and let you start over.

  • I downloaded the latest Firefox security update and my computer will no longer access the internet in any fashion, despite the fact that I'm still connected to the internet. Other browsers no longer work either.

Immediately after I downloaded the latest firefox security update my computer will no longer access the internet. I still have a fine wireless connection but Firefox, Internet Explorer, Itunes, and every other program will no longer access the internet, saying there is a connection error. I even tried restoring my system to a previous date but it said that a security program was preventing it from doing so.

What's the security program called? Is it '''Win 7 Security''' by any chance? There's a rogue AV app that will prevent internet access by that name. It comes in many different flavours, but it's basically the same product with different names depending on the operating system its aimed at. See screenshot.
Do you have another computer you can use to download Malwarebytes? Or can you get a friend to download it for you and copy it to a USB drive? Download from here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
You can use the USB drive to transfer the program to your own PC and then install it.

i am looking at buying an ipad 2, can i use my 3gs as a hotspot to access 3g internet outside of wifi zones?

You would need to call your mobile carrier and inquire about their policies and ability for "tethering."

  • I installed 7.1.2 update for my iphone5 and I have problems.   I can no longer access the internet on my phone.  My wifi is fine, and I've noticed that there is no longer any indication of "LTE" on my phone.

Against my better judgement, I installed update 7.1.2 on my iphone5, and can no longer access the intenet.  I've dis some searching for a solution, but nothing works.  What has this happened?  And how can I fix it?

LTE indicates cellular. Tap Settings > Cellular then switch Cellular Data ON.
If your Wi-Fi is working, then you should be able to access the internet.
    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
    * No data is lost due to a reset

  • MacBook Pro will no longer access the internet

We have two macs:  A MacBook Pro (2.53 GHz Intel Core Due) and a MacBook (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo).  Both are running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
Problem:  the MacBook Pro will no longer connect to the internet.  Network Diagnostics thinks that it is connected.  I can use Network Utilitities to ping a site.  But Apple Mail, iCal, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Skype, Software Update, etc., cannot access the internet.
The MacBook Pro is set up with a single user account.
Our internet is provided through a mobile phone provider.  If I set up our smart phone to serve as a wireless hotspot, the MacBook, iPod Touch, iPad will all connect.  The MacBook Pro will not.  If I put the SIM card in a USB modem and connect the modem to the MacBook Pro, the modem software will connect to the internet.  If I turn on Internet Sharing on the MacBook Pro, the MacBook, etc., will connect through the MacBook Pro, but the MacBook Pro itself will not.
So to sum up:  the modem software connects to the internet, Internet Sharing works as it should, Network Diagnostics and Network Utilities can't see a problem, and yet none of the apps that NEED to access the internet are able to.
This is the error message that Safari gives:
Safari can't open the page "...".  The error is "The

(NSPOSIXErrorDomain:1) Please choose Safari > report Bugs to Apple, note the
error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
This is the error message that Chrome gives:
         Error 10 (net::ERR_ACCESS_DENIED): Unknown Error
I have tried going to System Preferences / Network and deleting Airport and then adding it back.  I've tried disabling the Firewall.  And the same with reboots after each.
We're from the States but currently our work has us in Africa.  To keep from inadvertantly passing on windows viruses to others (viruses are rampant in Africa), I'm running the Intego anti-virus software on both machines (VirusBarrier X6).  I mention this because the problem started after rebooting after an update for that software.  (The MacBook Pro has had the update, the MacBook has not.)  But I also used Time Machine in an attempt to roll back VirusBarrier X6 to its pre-update status.  That didn't solve the problem either, which makes be think that the Intego problem didn't cause the problem.  But I mention it to be thorough.
There is an Apple-certified service centre in country, but it's a long drive away that I'd rather not have to make.  As it would for any of you in this day and age, this is really hampering my work.  Any and all help is much appreciated.

    THE FIX
After hours (days actually) troubleshoorting, involving 4 people and Apple Support folks, I'll  save you time. If you have VirusBarrier-follow the Manual to uninstall. use Intego's uninstall and deauthorize Virusbarrier before you trash it. If you have Net Nanny, trash it.
None of the above-it is Foxcomm's Airport/Bluetooth (661-5867) card. Faulty, non existent, blown a transistor, are all comments from Techn Support reps (the Genuis blue shirt reps)
Take it into an Apple Store, have them check the Airport card  (and only the airport card) using " a different operating system". Sorry that is a black hole, as the machine disappeared to the back of the store for"testing. Don't re-install the OS, delete plist files or applications, reconf and spend hours wasting your time.
Virusbarrier, net nanny or a faulty Airport card. In warranty it is covered; out of warranty:70.55 plus $39 to have Apple officially loosen the screws.I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro, can't speak for older models.
    Hope this helps the community.

  • After upgrading to the latest version of firefox. I can no longer access the internet and all traces of Mozilla Firefox are gone from my computer. I have no access to the internet, my home page or my e mails. What can be done??

I have been using firefox for years. I downloaded the latest version and at the conclusion of the down load I was refussed access to the internet. Something about Proxy???? I checked my firewalls and security and they said that mozilla was allowed but everytime I attempt to gain access I am refused. I cant access the internet and I cant download another program to access the internet. I uninstalled Firefox and attempted to reinstall but after uninstalling Firefox I have no means to reinstall because there are no traces of it on my computer and I no longer have access to the internet. What do I do? I cant access my e mails, stored messages, favorites etc etc.

No. After I select "Choose" the dialog box expands to provide only three choices. This is a new bug. I have only seen it in the past week or so, but it is maddening. I have observed that, while the Mozilla Foundation focuses on trivialities like which search engine should be the default, the Firefox application becomes buggier and buggier. Most of my family has switched to Chrome, and I will be following shortly. Firefox used to be a great program. Not any more. Getting assistance with a problem has also become very difficult.

  • ITunes (7.7.1) Can No Longer Access the Internet

I have a WiFi network set-up with Airport Extreme. Everything works fine Internet-wise on my Macbook Pro. I also have no trouble streaming music from iTunes to my stereo via my Airport Express.
However, just upgraded to iTunes 7.7.1, and now iTunes acts as if I'm not connected to the Internet, ie, no Podcast updates, no access to the iTunes store.
    Any ideas?

I had the same problem with fireworks today. Would not load some php pages...or would not let me drill down from the splash page into a secure area I tried the same thing using Safari. Was able to access, no problem. I have exhausted all possibilities with trying to get itunes working on the mac. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps the isp provider applied some obscure security setting or changed the dns somewhere...and this just affects macs??? Unless the problem is as widespread on pc's as well?? iTunes works on my pc at home but not on the mac. I am going to try a direct connection from cable to the mac, cicumventing both the router and wireless and see what happens.

  • When I Disable NAT on my WRT160N I can no longer access the Internet

    Hello,
I have had my WRT160N configured and working great for months now.  I had some non-related cable problems and the cable guy split my cable and now I have a specific modem just for the internet.  I can connect to the internet directly and wirelessly great!  However, I went into my XBox 360 to play some Halo 3 and it yelled at me that I should Disable the NAT.  I thought this was odd since my WRT160N is still the same piece of hardware and I believe that is where I disabled the NAT months ago and that it should Still have that same setting.  Apparently not?  So I connected to it and sure enough it was Enabled.  I disabled it and now I can no longer connect directly or wirelessly to the internet.  Of course, if I set it back to Enabled NAT then I can get to the internet again.  I need to turn off NAT.
Not sure what to do here.   Can it be on the cable modem (Time Warner Cable) where the problem resides?  Would IT have a configurable setting for NAT?
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
    Kevin

The folder  can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents. I have always used an open network and never had issues. • Any ideas why I can no longer access shared files on networked PC's in my office? I keep getting a "server not exist or unavailable" error.

I have been able to access the files in the past. Actually when I've had this problem before a restart has solved it. Not this time. And it keeps happening. Even more strange, Filemaker is able to access shared databases stored on the same PC's. Why can Filemaker see these computers? Both also show up in the finder but when I try to connect I get the error. I also tried "connect as" with no success. Any ideas?

Thanks Barney, I am now using pages to open exisiting Word documents. and then saving in the new format. I then trash the old incompatable (.doc) file.
This works OK, but it will be a time consuming operation to be repearted on each file that I use.
Is there any shortcut to enable sync all of the .doc files to Page?
I have not managed to recover Entourage email files . But now use Mail application, which is fine.
    Encountered problems are ongoing.
I have an Epson Epson Stylus Photo Rx430 printer.
Since upgrading to OSX10.7 print files do not load to the printer. The Epson job box shows data is being sent to printer but it the task is never completed.
I take this to be a Printer  Driver issue.
Today, I have been in contact  with Epson Printer support, enquiring if they have any driver updates for RX430 that would be compatable with OSX10.7 Lion.
I was notified by Epson that they do not have any drivers for any of their printers for the new OSX 10.7.
How may I  continue using my now unsupported Epson printer?

  • POWERMAC G5 can no longer access Airport Express wireless network

OK I've had a Airport extreme wireless network up and running for 3-years. Suddenly, my PowerMac G5 cannot connect. I know the network is OK because my Powerbook can connect to the network.
I've tried running the Airport utility and re-scanning with no luck. Also shut down the PowerMac and the Airport Extreme and then re-booted. No luck. The wireless strength meter in the upper right corner of screen goes from solid black to gray scale. Sometimes the network is listed, other times not. It never, however, will let me join the network.
Is it possible that the Airport card has failed??
    Any help will be appreciated.

hello - my ipod touch worked well until a couple of months of non-use. Now, I cannot access the internet thru my wifi. All my other devices have no such problem. I have tried resetting wifi, "forgetting network" turning wifi off and on....nothing works....can anyone help?

    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router.
    - Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
Does the iPod see the network? Error message? Does the iPod connect to other networks?
