No longer assign event to certain calendar when rt-clk

Hi everyone. I have been using a shared calendar called WORK with some friends who also have Iphones. It has been working great. Suddenly, I cannot assign an event to WORK anymore when on my Macbook Pro using Calendar. It always appeared before. Not sure I have tried to perform this action since I upgraded to Mountain Lion until now.
Btw, assigning from the Iphone shows no problems.

Below you see WORK appearing fine as usual in the list on my Macbook's Calendar application but it is not available in the right-click menu anymore. It always always was before.

I had the the same problem albeit with an m4v (same hardware and OS rev too!, iTunes 10.6.3). I was able to add the movie to a new library per Limnos' suggestion here, indicating that iTunes wasn't totally busted. However, I was also able to see the movie in the Recently Added smart playlist (another hat tip to Limnos), although it still did not appear in the Movies section of my iTunes library. (It was also in the iTunes Library.xml file.)
So I called AppleCare, and they directed me to move the file from the external drive where it was living, into the /Users/<Your Name Here>/Movies directory, and to "Add to Library" (Command-O) from that location. Sure enough (and much to my surprise), it showed up immediately (duplicated, actually) in the Movies section of my iTunes library. Subsequent additions to my Library have not misbehaved similiarly.

I can no longer add events to my calendar from my e mail.

I used to be able to use the function in e mail that would automatically add an event to my calendar. For some reason it no longer works.

Previously when I passed my cursor over a date in an email, I would get a message asking me if I would like to add the event to my calendar. Then for no apparent reason that message no longer appeared. Now it is again. I did do some updates, which may have solved the problem.

Add alerts to all events in certain calendar at once

I have schedule of nba games. There's no alerts in it.
So i want to add "Message with sound 1 day before" to all events in this calendar.

This is the above script with the alarm settingh being removed and making the events all day. I'm not sure if this wiil stick for a subscribed calendar and don't have time to check now.

Assign event to multiple calendars

I use Outlook as my main calendar to track my family's activities and commitments, so I use categories for each of our family members. Frequently, events (i.e. no school days) involves more than one child, so in Outlook the partivular event receives more than one category. However, when that get synced over to iCal and subsequently iCloud, the first category listed is the calendar that event is saved to. How do I emulate what is being done in Outlook in the others without having to create an event for each person involved?

having trouble with icloud, it duplictes contacts on the iphone and events in ical on ipad. tried to change settings on the home desktop, on ipad2 and iphone

I have added calendars in ical, but they remain gray. How do I assign them a color?

When you add an event and you see the heading "Calendar", do you see a name to the right of it such as "Work"? If you tap on the heading "Calendar" does it show you a list of calendars?
I'm basing this on my experience using iCal on a Mac to sync with my iPad. I created a number of calendars on the Mac and assigned them different colors. Those appear on my iPad. I don't know how to create additional calendars on the iPad alone - I must create them in iCal or MobileMe then they show up on the iPad. Are you using a Mac or MobileMe?

Getting event notifications for calendar I'm no longer subscribed to

Since updating to iOS 6, my iPhone has been giving me reminder notifications (with sound) for a calendar that I'm no longer subscribed to (a Meetup calendar). The events don't show up in iCal or my iPhone Calendar app, just when the notification happens... and when I swipe to look at the notification, it says it's from "untitled calendar". I can delete the event at that time, after the notification alert, but that's not helpful.
I've looked in iCloud and on my phone's settings, but I can't find this "untitled calendar" anywhere and so can't delete it or the ghost events.

I found why I don't receive the notifications into my calendar.
I don't know how this is possible, but the notifications are sended to another apple user ID that belongs to me.
I cleaned the contact information on the cloud and on the local contacts app. in my mac, my wife mac and all my ios devices.
Still I don't receive the notifications.
I managed to receive the an email for every notification since I changed the options on the icloud calendar preferences advanced tab.
But now, I put it back to in app notification, now I still get an email, but now I get two instead of one, one that informing that I refused the invitation and one for the invitation.
Any suggestions?

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. According to your description, it seems that the issue is related to Outlook 2003. This forum focus on Exchange 2013. Additionally, Outlook 2003 is no longer supported in Exchange 2013.

it is unbelievable to me that this issue existed so long ago and hasn't been fixed. I just bought my first apple product (iphone4s) and am ready to toss it. Despite hours of searching on these forums I have been unable to find out how to fix my calendar. I have rebooted, adjusted settings to no avail. without a calendar, i can't use this product. Also, i am not technologically brilliant and can't handle the advanced fixes that some people recommend.
question, is apple a product for the ignorant like me? or should i go back to nuts and bolts pc?
all i really want is to be able to use the calendar without "uploading, reprogramming, contacting support offices for 3 hours, contacting network administrators, upgrading, switching fonts, changing operating systems.... etc. " I am just a regular person who needs a portable calendar.

TS1347 I use outlook caledar. When I add events to my calendar on my I-phone it won't synch back to my computer. It only synchs items from my computer to my I-phone. Can I make it go both ways?

I use microsoft outlook for my calendar. When I sync it to my I-Phone it will only sync new items from my computer to my I-Phone. If I add an item to my phone it won't sync it back to my computer. How can I make it go both ways? This has been ever since I added I-cloud.

As long as you have Calendars enabled under Settings > iCloud then you should be loading up to iCloud.
Open your Calendar app and select "Calendars" in the top left corner, in this menu make sure that default calendar named "Calendar" is listed underneath "iCloud" as oppposed to "On this iPhone".
If it is, then you're golden. Double check by adding an event to your Calendar app and then log into www.icloud.com and see if the event appears in the Calendar on the website.
And to keep your Outlook from syncing using iTunes, just make sure when you connect your iPhone to the computer, when it shows you the device.... in the "Info" tab, you want to make sure Calendars is not selected. It doesn't need to be selected because iCloud is doing the work now.

I tried to put them in using the "Home calendar" blue, and them change them to purple (Work Calendar) after I had paid them. The problem is that once I changed a bill from blue to purple it changed all upcoming bills for future months to purple also.

You might want to try Reminders.
Creat a Bill Pay list, add all your bills set a reminder to repeat every month and when you pay one just check them off as complete
