No longer can I see any applications in my Applications folder, but I can open it just fine?
The title says it all. When I navigate to my home folder > applications it appears empty!
Steps I follow to recreate this bug:
1. Open a new finder window.
2. Navigate to the Users/myusername/Applications directory
Nothing shows in there.
However... if I click "Go" > "Applications" it opens a folder on my primary drive (not where I moved my home folder). Is it not possible to move all applications to the secondary hard drive to live within my home folder? I thought I had done that already, but now they have reappeared there. What might have caused this?

OK. If you believe that.
When the disk is starting to die it can be bad for a moment and then be good for a while. If there was no problem while you were checking it of course it shows up good.
I tell you those are the signs of a disk that is about to die.

None of may applications can depoly today. Something must have happened to Jdeveloper or my environment. (The joy of automatic updates). Not much in the way of diagnostics here.
Anyone have ANY IDEA where I should look to get things working again?

After I installed the recent Apple security patch, I can no longer save PDFs when using Safari. And Firefox no longer can open website PDFs. Any suggestions?

Just installed CC on my PC, Windows 7, 64 bit system. Not seeing any applications on the desktop or installation folder. However, all the resource files are present in the installation folder. What am I doing wrong?
I've installed three times with no luck. I downloaded the Creative Cloud Packager off the licensing site: https://licensing.adobe.com. I unpacked and choose my applications. The install seemed to be successful, but I don't so any of the applications anywhere.Hi,
Creating package doesn't mean it will install the product,
You will need to install the package now. Please follow the instructions mentioned in the below articles

hi. I don't know where my videos go on MAC. I can see all my photos in iPhoto folder, but can't see any video. Is there any other place they go or should i do smth different to find copy them separately? Pls help

You can reapply it over the top of any previously downloaded version. I see that your profile says 10.6.8.
Then software update to pick up any new security, iTunes updates. -
Is FCP X the end of FCP for pros? Has Apple abandoned us? No longer can open my older files?
It looks like FCP X is a useless app for any pro application. With no capture from or to tape (Which is still widely used in the pro industry) and we will no longer be able to open a version of our edit from any previous FCP project. The exports and imports have been severly limited. What is Apple doing? Why make FCP more like imovie? Obviously the changes were designed by guys in suits and designers who have no experience in the industry. I guess it's time to switch back to Avid or even Adobe Premiere. I know my company is selling 40 of their Mac work stations and switching to PC and Premiere. Something I don't want to do but if I want to contine working in the industry it may not be a choice.

hey guyys .if some 1 from firefox team can help it wud be great......I was using firefox 3.6.3 on Mac OS 10.5.8 and Today I installed firefox 3.0(besides application folder) but not in same application folder like firefox 3.6.3 ...so now i had 2 firefox version 3.6.3 and 3.0....I had 3.6.3 already open ..i closed it to... open 3.0 ....when i opened 3.0 it asked me to import settings i said no....it opened well.....then i close 3.0 and tried to open 3.6.3 version ...now it was a problem everything got lost sessions, bookmarks, add ons, etc....it went back to default ....when i had 2 profiles in 3.6.3.....can any pls help me on dis 1...is there a way to restore my sessions, bookmarks and add ons ??? I have uninstalled 3.0 version now....??? pls pls pls ....help

I have just agreed to software updates on my imac and now can't open my mail. There is a message saying this version of mail isn't compatible with this latest software. I have located the updated mail in the applications folder but it won't open. I don't have the original operating software disk. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Your reply suggests that you have moved Mail to a different location, which (as I said) will prevent it from being properly updated. You cannot use Mail 4.5 with any recent version of Mac OS X. Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) included Mail 5 and Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) includes Mail 6. I'm assuming that you have either Lion or Mountain Lion, but if that is incorrect, you will need to provide that information.
At this point, you will need to reinstall your system. Hold down command-R at startup and reinstall the system right on top of the old one. This should not disturb any of your documents or applications, though you should have backups beforehand in case something goes wrong. And at this point, with your system in an uncertain state (I don't entirely know what you have done to it), something could go wrong.
You will also want to delete the old copy of Mail 4.5, wherever that is. You can't use it.
In the future, do not move any of the preinstalled applications. Leave them where they are. -

I have a mac book pro. Yesterday the mail app failed to open. I have tried to open it from the dock and the application folder but nothing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions to get it to work?
You don't need iDVD unless you are going to make DVDs. If you are just trying to share files, iDVD won't help you at all.
What you want to do is in iMovie, choose File/Share/File, and export that way. It creates an .mp4 file that should be readable on Macs or Windows.
You could also File/Share/YouTube if you don't mind posting them to YouTube, because of course YouTube videos are watchable by any Mac or Windows computer made in the last 10 years. -
We have 6 ipods and 1 iphone in our house. We have different itunes accounts. We use one computer. How can we share each others music? I moved everybodies itunes media folder to the public music folder but when I open itunes I only see that accounts music. We need different itunes accounts. We share 1 computer but we have different user accounts on the computer.
Adding media directly to the media folder does not make it appear in the library. iTunes doesn't really 'look' at that folder except to go to specific files when you call upon them from a library. You have to drag new content to each user's library, that is assuming each user has their own library.

I reinstalled operating system software on my MacBook Air (Yosemite 10.10.3) and tried reinstalling Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. I was able to install the software into my Applications folder but I was unable to enter the serial number or go any further with the installation. When I click on the Adobe Acrobat icon in the Applications folder, nothing happens.
